Is it straight forward enough once they've been created to put then on other backgrounds like the CV blue for example?

Yeah its actually extremely easy and the only hard task is cutting the images in a way that you like and prefer. The most concerning thing right now is going to be to match the style of the TEW 9 renders.

Jack fizzled out, jobbed out for a bit and his attitude and perhaps some harassment claims sent him packing.

Vince should have went with your guy. Could have turned him face but with a menace.

For anyone wanting to continue on the C-Verse Blue BG due to collating a huge collection over the years (like me) and not wanting to lose all those hours of creating or searching for good pictures that suit how you see the characters, I've created about 147 of the new workers in TEW IX using AI - so if you prefer the DAZ look, you might want to wait for someone to create them in that thread and ignore these.

Things to note - I created these for my own game so if you don't like them or the style, that's fine, delete them and wait for alternatives to come out. I am only sharing these as I know a few of you had started updating the Blue BG using AI images (and provided me with some great updated pics over the last couple of months) on TEW 2020 and this is so that work can be continued or you can have place holders until something better is created. I'll likely create some more so my picture pack is up together which again, I'll share in this thread if people want them. I don't think any TEW2020 characters are in the pack except a couple of people who were renamed and given new gimmicks.

I mean I definitely want to continue on C-Verse Blue, it sort of just pops and makes it easier on the eyes than the black bg of TEW IX. I know there was discussion of changing it, but the thread got deleted. Hoping for a consensus on what we think is best as a community soon.

I'm still thinking about what style to go with, because almost 300 characters without picture is certainly something.

In relation to the background, the white background would've been so much better.

Yeah I haven't had a chance to sit down and look at the new pic pack properly but from my first glance, a lot of them look way to dark for my liking. As if they are shrouded in shadow.

I'm on the fence as well about which to use. Using the C-Verse Blue would save everyone a lot of time but the black background will create unity with the default pack in case someone hasn't been redone yet. I'll also be waiting to see where the wind blows. I use ImBatch to auto-format the base png so whichever way it goes should be fine.

The problem is reaching consensus. Some people want black, some white, some the blue, some transparent GIF.

I guess you could batch process the whole lot to have every option.

I completely agree. There was never a way to go that would make everyone happy. I also want to say that I don't hate the default pack. After playing with it some more it has grown on me. It was just such a large shift away from what I was used to (I'm sure everyone is feeling that regardless of whether they used the Daz pics or the AI re-rendered pics in 2020).

Agree on that, but maybe we could come up with the best overall solution? A major poll could be the way to go to pick the “preferred” mods render style. Also, by picking all-white background I think it’s easier than to remove background and add the CV blue one, while images with dark backgrounds use to be darker and don’t really match style with CV blue background.

What y’all think about it?

Why don’t people just upload versions with transparent backgrounds and let people cut them themselves? It’s really not difficult to load the images into Photoshop/GIMP for a free alternative and add a background.

My reason for using blue isn't that I don't like the black background pictures (I do) it is purely because I have been updating my C-Verse pics since 2014 and would like to keep them. The 300 missing pics on the Blue BG doesn't bother me as it gives me a chance to play/practice with AI a bit more to get them added... talking of which, here are a few more for new workers. If anyone want's the png's instead, I'll be happy to provide them.

I would’ve said this with the Gen1 pics I produced, but latterly my workflow involved creating images that were isolated from the background and, as default, saved as background-less PNG.

From there, setting up a batch process to add backgrounds can just run overnight.

A lot of people were already uploading the CVerse Blue version and then posting the full PNG just below it anyway. I think that may be the best way forward. It gives the Blue but it gives the option for others to also do whatever they want with the transparent PNG
