Cornellverse Explored 07 (Diary)

Recommended Posts

OOC I think I should explain how this diary is going to work before I write anything else. The plan for this diary is that it's going to be a collection of 1-month diaries. I will be doing diaries for alot of the Cornellverse promotions. I'm going to compile them all into this one thread so that I don't spam up the forums with a dozen diaries. Expect diaries for TCW, SWF, DAVE, CZCW, MAW, NYCW, NOTBPW, 4C and/or any other company I want to do a diary for. Suggestions are welcome as well. DAVE: Looking to the Future

I awoke at 5 A.M. to the sounds of my fax machine buzzing (originality ~!). Unfortunately it wasn't enough to wake me up and I fell back asleep. At about 12:00 noon I woke up and checked the fax machine. It was a memo from DAVE owner Phil Vibert. It read:
Dear Applicant, We've received your application and must say that you are absolutely horribly qualified for this job. Fortunately for you you were also the only applicant, thus you get the job by default. Stop by the DAVE headquarters around noon today so we can talk about your contract. And try not to embarrass yourself on the way to my office. Sincerely, Phil Vibert
I hope he doesn't mind me being late. I got dressed and left for the headquarters. When I got to the street I had to look around a little. I knew I had the right address, but couldn't find it. Then I looked at the laundromat across the street and above the side door there was a sign that said Dangerous and Violent Office. That looks about right. I went up the stairs, opened the door and had a look around. I went up to the secretary's desk and found ...Emma Chase? I stood there puzzled for a few seconds before she looked at me and asked "Can I help you?" I snapped out of it and handed her my fax letter. She pointed me down the hall to Phils office. As I walked down the hall I saw alot of the DAVE guys hanging around or working on something. I saw Eric Tyler with a calculator apparently doing finances, Nemesis using the copy machine, Vin Tanner making coffee, JD Morgan sitting around reading advertising for dummies, Shawn Gonzalez trying to teach "The Latin Kings" some respect, and The McWades were arguing over who got the last french fry. I finally made it to Phils door, which had seemingly been punched a few times. I took a deep breath and entered his office. I was greeted with "Who are you?" I showed him the fax to him and he just looked at me for a minute before saying "You'd better be better than your credentials tell me you are." It was an uneasy meeting for me with Phil not giving me much benefit of the doubt. Phil gave me the impression that he was hiring me because he had no other choice, and I don't mean just because I was the only applicant. After I signed my contract I summed up the courage and asked "Why do you need a new head booker?" Phil stared a hole through me before finally answering. "Because Nemesis can't book worth a damn and I'm burnt out. With USPW catching up to us, TCW and SWF stealing every talent that gets over and all of our stars getting closer to retirement we need somebody in here that can give us a future. My gut feeling says that you're going to eventually put us out of business, but if we keep Nemesis at the head of creative we'll be there in a few months. I'm willing to give you a chance because you're the only person who applied, but screw this company up and I'll screw the rest of your life up, understand me?" I stood there silently with eyes wide open. I nodded and left the office taking a deep breath when I finally got out. With Phils 'advice' still ringing in the back of my head and DAVEs biggest event of the year "Back in Black" coming up I knew this was going to be a very long month.
"Nemesis using the copy machine" He can use a copy machine?
OCC: Weird isn't it? Although he did hit it a few times and threaten to chokeslam it. I didn't even know it had a throat. Looking at the roster for DAVE I feel like I'm looking at the patient list at a retirement castle. We need to get some younger guys on the roster and on top of this company. I have some idea of who to sign, but not much. I've looked around at guys working for smaller promotions first. First was USPW and I just have to ask the question: Is there anybody on that roster smaller than 6'5"? Or with talent? The only person on that roster I would even bother with would be Darryl Devine. And maybe the referees. Sad ain't it? Moving on, I looked at NYCW. And I thought DAVE looked like a retirement home. Next. Onto CZCW where there are actually people who can wrestle. Yay! This is one roster I'm looking for talent from. Now to RIPW. It's related to the SWF. Next. And now the last in line, MAW, Rip Chords hobby to keep him away from the booze. There are a couple of good talents here, but it's more of a hatching ground for fresh out of school wrestlers. As for International talent, they'll probably tell me they can make more money where they are. Damn foreigners. I'll give it a shot anyways. I have alot of work to do on DAVE so I should get started. I have the biggest DAVE event of the year to book from scratch and no idea how I'm gonna do it, though that's never stopped me before. Once I have the card for tomorrow booked I'll have the preview posted on the ol' intraweb which, to my shock, is used for more than porn. Who knew? From Davewrestling.com
Official Preview for DAVE Danger Zone TV Last night at Christmas Clash Eddie Peak successfully defended his Unified Championship against Eric Tyler. On DZTV Eddie Peak will be wrestling a mystery opponent chosen by Phil Vibert who would only tell us "This is a big one." Eric Tyler has been telling friends that he's got plenty to say to Eddie Peak. Tyler may also get another shot at the Unified Championship, if he can win the 20 man battle royal that is. In that battle royal will be all of the big stars on the DAVE roster including Tyler, Big Cat Brandon, Acid, Caulfield, Scout, Guide, Tanner, Gonzalez, Geidroyc, Century and many others. You can't miss this battle Royal. Tune into Danger Zone TV this Friday at 10 PM on East Coast Today. Eddie Peak vs. Nemesis with the old man rolling over. (This is mainly because though Hell's Bouncer is 'big' technically, he isn't 'big'). So unless you set up a working agreement with someone like TCW or NOTBPW, you're probably not going to have much access to 'big'. Just a guess though. Adrenaline Rush beats the less talented team like they stole somethin'. I'm thinking Acid or Big Cat to win the battle royal, if it isn't someone newly arrived.

DAVE Danger Zone TV Thursday Week1, January 2007 Held at The McGraw Arena in front of 5,000 people (Sell-out) Main Show Mitch Naess, Nemesis and Emma Chase welcome everyone to Danger Zone TV -The show kicks off with Big Cat Brandon making his way down to the ring. Brandon got into the ring and proceeded to talk about how he had been waiting for an opportunity like tonights battle royal his entire career and that he would make the most of it by winning and going on to defeat Eddie Peak and take his first Unified Championship. That's when the music of Eric Tyler filled the arena as he came down to the ring accompanied by the members of The School of Tradition. Tyler told Brandon that he was nothing more than a glorified tag team wrestler with no partner. Tyler talked up how great he was before Brandon cut him off and told him to put his money where his mouth is and win the battle royal tonight. Tyler responded to that with a "Don't worry about that, I already planned on it. And by the way, I'll be especially happy to eliminate you personally." (C+) -Eddie Peak makes his entrance to the ring with title belt around his waist and boos filling the arena. Peak waits for his mystery opponent when the music of Phil Vibert plays. Phil, microphone in hand, says that the crowd are in for a treat while Peak is going to wish he hadn't shown up fore work today. "Ladies and gentlemen, and Eddie Peak, I'm proud to introduce to you a very special guest. He's one of the top prospects in North American wrestling and a student of Tommy Cornell himself. I present to you Wolf Hawkins!" The crowd go insane while Emma wonders out loud "How the hell did Vibert pull this one off?" -Match #1- Wolf Hawkins vs. Eddie Peak- The crowd was still in shock from announcement, but it didn't phase Eddie Peak any. Peak still had the look of murder in his eyes that he always does. Peak began the match brawling with Hawkins which didn't do Wolf any favors. Wolf smartened up and turned the match in his favors by grounding Peak and keeping him there. Peak fought back and was able to catch Wolf with a few punches and then a thumb to the eye. Peak took advantage and hit Wolf with everything he had. Wolf wouldn't stay down. Peak picked Wolf up and went for a spinebuster, but Wolf was able to counter it into a DDT. Both men were down and the ref made the mandatory 10 count. Both men got back to their feet by 7. Wolf took down Peak with clothesline after clothesline before going for a Full Moon Rising. Wolf hits it and then is assaulted by Joey Minnesota. The ref calls for the bell. Winner by DQ: Eddie Peak in 11:53 Rating (B-) -Joey Minnesota continues his assault of Wolf Hawkins as Peak leaves the ring with his belt clenched tightly in his hands. Minnesota stomps away before grabbing a mic. Minnesota: "This is supposed to be the future of pro wrestling? This is supposed to be the biggest prospect in North America? 2 years ago I was the biggest prospect in North America and I still am. It's about time people realize it again. Wolf Hawkins, If you're half the man that these people, wrestling message boards, wrestling magazines, and everyone else that thinks they know something about wrestling make you out to be you'll accept my challenge for a match at Back in Black." Minnesota drops down to his knees and drives the microphone into Wolfs head continuously causing him to bleed. Before long security comes out to stop the assault. Minnesota calmly leaves while Wolf is helped out of the ring. (D+ for the attack, C for the challenge) -Match #2- Adrenaline Rush vs. The McWades- A pretty good match between these two teams. The McWades tried to use their power to their advantage, but Adrenaline Rush were too fast for them. Eventually Teddy Powell caught Dallas McWade with a Motion Censor and picked up the win. Winners: Adrenaline Rush in 6:04 Rating (C) -Jack Geidroyc comes down to the ring with his Brass Knuckles Championship belt over his shoulder and a microphone in his hand. He proceeds to give a heartfelt promo. Geidroyc: "I started out my career working for peanuts over in the UK scene. I made myself a reputation of excellence over there because I would go out there every night and no matter how few people were in the crowd or who I was facing I made sure that I stole the show and gave everybody what they paid for. And do you know what that got me? Nothing. That's why I came to DAVE in 2006, because I saw an opportunity to be appreciated for my skill. I came here and I began to steal the show here too. I beat everybody who was put in front of me from Big Cat Brandon to the current Unified Champion Eddie Peak. Now I'm sure you all think I'm out here to tell you about how I'm gonna win the battle royal tonight and go on to win the Championship; Well I'm not. I'm sure the rumors about why I came to DAVE have been running rampant all year so let me finally clear things up. I came to DAVE for the competition, for a challenge. I came here to wrestle one man in particular, but by the time I got here he was already retired. I came here to beat the best of the best, I came here to face Nemesis. Nemesis, you're one of the biggest names the wrestling industry has seen this decade and I'm challenging you to come out of retirement for one night only and face me at Back in Black. I await your answer." Nemesis is silent as he stares at Geidroyc. Chase and Naess attempt to get Nemesis' opinion on this matter, but Nemesis still won't say anything. (C+) -Match #3- 20 Man Battle Royal- Filling the ring are Big Cat Brandon, Eric Tyler with Acid, Guide, and Scout by his side, Shawn Gonzalez with Rudy Velasquez, Jesus Chavez and Hector Galindo pestering him , Alex Braun, Travis Century, Johnny Martin, Joey Minnesota, JD Morgan, Vin Tanner, Hell's Bouncer, The McWades, Chris Caulfield, and Art Reed. The competitors look around the ring before the music of DAVE Unified Champion Eddie Peak hits the speakers. Peak comes out with a chair in hand and sets it up at the top of the stage. Peak goes to the back and grabs a bag of popcorn before sitting down in the chair to watch the battle royal. The competitors eyed each other before Tyler made the first move and attacked Brandon. The School of Tradition followed suit as Acid went after Caulfield and the New Wave went after Braun. Before long everyone was fighting everyone. Wrestlers were being thrown out left and right until it came down to the final 8. In the ring stood Eric Tyler, Acid, Scout, Guide and on the other side of the ring were Big Cat Brandon, Chris Caulfield, Hell's Bouncer, and Joey Minnesota. The School of Tradition teamed up on Big Cat Brandon, while Hell's Bouncer and Chris Caulfield fought and Joey Minnesota stayed out of reach of the others. Until Wolf Hawkins had something to say about that. Wolf came from the crowd and dragged Minnesota over the top rope eliminating him from the match. Joey and Wolf brawled up the ramp and out of sight. The School continued their assault on Brandon. Tyler held Brandon up against the ropes while Acid prepared to charge him. Brandon ducked and Acid took Tyler over the top rope. Acid looked on as Brandon tossed him out too. The New Wave jumped Brandon and continued their attack on him. As that was happening Caulfield pulled the top rope down as Hells' Bouncer charged him and eliminated him. Caulfield then turned his sights to The New Wave. He caught both with a clothesline from behind. He hit Guide with a Danger Drop and threw him out. Scout was right there though and nailed Caulfield with a Guided Missile. Scout turned around only to get a spear from Brandon and was thrown out. It was now down to Big Cat Brandon and Chris Caulfield. Caulfield was still down from the Guided Missile. Brandon picked him up and tossed him out to win the battle royal. Winner: Big Cat Brandon in 20:04 Rating (C-) -Brandon celebrates in the ring while Eddie Peak throws down his popcorn and runs down to the ring. Peak nails Brandon with a beltshot right between the eyes and stands over him as Danger Zone TV goes off the air. (D+) Final Rating (C-)
Quick Results: -Eddie Peak defeated Wolf Hawkins (B-) -Adrenaline Rush defeated The McWade Brothers (C) -Big Cat Brandon won the battle royal (C-)
I was in my office (Ok, it's a closet, but it's a very nice rat infested closet. The rats were even nice enough to give me back a pen I dropped.) when Phil burst through my door nearly knocking it off it hinges (although it's not like that would be an accomplishment). He threw a magazine onto my desk and told me "Read this." Not wanting to lose my job I dropped what I was doing (though the rat made sure to bring it back to me.) and began reading the article. It was from this months PW Hits magazine. It was an article about DAVE and what it's been going through for the last few years.
Are DAVE On A Downward Spiral? Sam Strong's takeover of United States Pro Wrestling in August 2006 sent shockwaves throughout wrestling, but may have been most keenly felt in the Tri State area, home of Danger And Violence Extreme. Phil Vibert's promotion was once the talk of the industry, a fast-rising rebel company that was taking on both SWF and TCW despite having a fraction of the resources. The undisputed number three promotion in America, it seemed that little could stop them. However, the newly energised USPW seems to have now taken the number three spot away from them, with ease, and has highlighted the fact that DAVE have been in a serious tailspin for the last two years. What went wrong, and can DAVE recover to reclaim the position of the true alternative to the Big Two? The Departed When one looks at the list of major wrestlers who have left the promotion since DAVE's peak in 2003, it is clear to see why the company has begun to struggle. * Heading the list would be Nemesis, a former four time Unified champion and perhaps the company's most over worker. Nine years of working the hardcore style associated with DAVE had to be a massive factor in his 2006 retirement, as he cited the massive amount of injuries that plagued him as the chief factor in his decision. The silver lining is that at least he remains with the company, using his creative powers in his role as head booker. * The latest loss, and perhaps the one that has been the biggest psychological blow, was that of Kurt Laramee. The rugged brawler had been a pet project of Phil Vibert, who thought he could turn the rookie into a huge star. He was well on his way to achieving that goal, before Laramee walked out on the promotion to sign a lucrative deal with the Supreme Wrestling Federation. Vibert has publically called him a "traitor", and it is clear that the defection has really stung the DAVE boss. * The talented Bryan Holmes held the DAVE Unified title for a full year between 2005 and 2006, and brought a lot of class and dignity to the belt. Hugely respected by everyone in DAVE, they were sad to see him go in 2006 when he was offered his dream job of a full-time position with PGHW in Japan. * Another man who took the trip from DAVE to PGHW was Eisaku Kunomasu. He spent seven years with the Tri State company, and while he never ascended to the position of world champion, he provided so many fantastic matches that he became one of the most important members of the roster. When he returned to Japan, he left a void that was almost impossible to fill. * Like Kunomasu, Pablo Rodriguez never won the main DAVE title, but was a key ingredient in the midcard mix, providing great matches on a regular basis. His high risk style was a perfect match for the promotion, and it seemed almost inevitable that he would become Unified champion. Sadly for DAVE, Mexican wrestling needed him in 2005, and he left before he could become a headline act. * "The Icon Of Insanity" Henry Lee may have embodied Danger And Violence Extreme more than any other wrestler, and was one of the most popular wrestlers in the promotion's history. However, after more than a decade with them, it was clear that he was starting to become stale, and in 2006 he left to work in Japan. * Finally, one of DAVE's most loyal wrestlers, The Wolverine, left the active roster in 2006. Although he didn't go far, just into the position of road agent for the company, his reliable contributions to shows will be missed. Of course, it should be noted that there was one other major loss during this period, although it didn't involve a specific person. In 2006, DAVE lost their pay-per-view deal, thanks to a slump in ratings. While the financial loss will be keenly felt, it was the prestige value of being on PPV that truly made DAVE the number three promotion in America, and losing that deal has been a really bitter pill to swallow. The Soon-To-Be-Departed The high-impact, physically demanding style that DAVE uses is notorious for shortening careers, especially those of workers who are coming to the end of their careers anyway, as Nemesis and The Wolverine will both testify. What may be most worrying to the company is the list of ageing workers on their roster who are already showing the signs of failing physical health. Even the most optimistic fan will not be expecting company figurehead Eric Tyler (46 years old) to be wrestling for much longer, and that will leave an enormous gap in the main event scene. On top of that, Alex Braun, one of the most consistent and reliable wrestlers the company has ever had, is 45 years old and has had more surgeries on his knees than he can count. Surely he will not still be carrying Tank Bradley to tag team success in 2008? Two of DAVE's most loyal soldiers, Johnny Martin (former two time Unified champion) and JD Morgan (former three time Extreme champion), are both clearly suffering from nagging injuries. Both are the wrong side of 35, and must be looking at retirement sooner rather than later. Their departures would rob the midcard of two of its best. Finally, Chris Caulfield is only 32, but his willingness to take crazy bumps must be taking its toll on his body. He has already missed several shows in 2006 due to injury, and the frequency of that is only likely to increase, removing yet another main event star from the scene. The Future With DAVE not having the financial power to go out and bring in much new talent, their future will depend a lot on the youngsters who they currently have on the roster. Fortunately they have eight wrestlers in particular, all thirty years of age or younger, who could help turn the company around. * There are many similarities between Eddie Peak and Big Cat Brandon; both were groomed for success via the tag team ranks, both are large, powerful thirty year olds whose styles fit in well with the DAVE environment, and both have already been elevated to the main event scene in the latter stages of 2006. The immediate future of DAVE lies in their hands, and the on-screen rivalry that has built between them should be the one that delivers big time in 2007. * The New Wave, Guide and Scout, are probably the best tag team in DAVE right now, having held the tag team titles on three occasions. What has become increasingly clear is that both men are being positioned for eventual singles runs, and that both have enough potential that they could be future Unified champions. * Some have pointed to Sammy Bach of Adrenaline Rush as one of the brightest young stars not just in DAVE, but all of American wrestling. While his size may raise some questions, as he is a lot smaller than most on the roster, his skills, charisma and look are top class. He has not really been tested as a singles wrestler in DAVE, so it will be interesting to see if he works more solo matches in 2007. * Acid has been with the company for just over two years now, and through sheer match quality has worked his way up from the opening match position to credible threat to the Unified title. Like Bach, his size is the only thing that seems likely to be able to hold him back. * Last come DAVE's most recent two signings, Jack Giedroyc and Joey Minnesota. Jack became an instant hit with the fans from the moment of his debut in 2006, and has already been positioned as the company's secondary champion. The talented Brit seems to have all the tools to be a major force in the future. Minnesota was probably DAVE's biggest recent coup, as they stole him out from under the noses of NYCW after he became unhappy with company politics. At just 24, he is already an established name in the US, having headlined NYCW events for a couple of years. He is clearly someone who can handle the pressure of carrying a company, and it seems crazy to suggest that he won't be in the main event scene of DAVE very soon. What's Next? DAVE are clearly a promotion in transition. Normally the process of one generation of stars handing over to the next is a slow process, taking years. Perhaps the reason DAVE have struggled recently is that the process seems accelerated in their case; in a very short period of time they have either lost, or are about to lose, the vast majority of the main event scene that have carried the company for so long (Nemesis, Tyler, Lee, Caulfield, Holmes, Martin, etc). Establishing a new set of main eventers is clearly taking time; not because they don't have the talent available to them, but because the fans have not yet accepted the passing of the torch from the old to the new. If Vibert and Nemesis can successfully create a new set of vibrant headliners, centering around men like Peak and Brandon, DAVE should have no trouble at all in mounting a challenge to USPW for the right to be called the number three promotion in America.
I finished reading and looked up at Phil who didn't seem to be very happy about this article. Phil started going off about it, I guess he really does have a short fuse after all. Everything in the article was true, although I'm not gonna say that to Phil, I like getting a paycheck. I'm pretty sure that it's the context that was used and them saying DAVE was on a downward spiral that got to Phil. I was curious about something so I asked Phil "Who wrote this article anyways?" He answered "I don't know, some wanker named Ryland. Either way this article is complete and utter bullsh*t, they're lucky I don't use this thing as toilet paper. USPW the number 3 promotion in America? Oh please. That place is full of more untalented steroid abusers than a Las Vegas bodybuilding competition. DAVE is still the #3 promotion in America no matter what that idiot says. Our main event scene is just fine. We're just in a small transition period." All I could think to say without pissing him off more was "Yup." "Shut up and get back to work or you'll be fired." Vibert left the room slamming the door shut as he went. I think he scared the rats off. After reading that article it kind of puts things in perspective as to where DAVE stands at the moment. DAVE should be looking to the future and be getting the current main event scene prepared for the old wrestlers home. I have some rewrites to make to the next show.

From Davewrestling.com
Official Preview for DAVE Danger Zone TV The countdown to Back in Black is officially on with the main event now set. Last week on Danger Zone TV Big Cat Brandon won a battle royal to become #1 Contender to Eddie Peaks DAVE Unified Championship. Big Cat Brandon vs. Eddie Peak for the Unified Championship will headline Back in Black. After Peak left Brandon laying after the battle royal one can only assume Brandon is going to be out for revenge on DZTV. Catch all of the developments as this feud unfolds. This week on DZTV Phil Vibert has announced that he will be welcoming another special guest. After Vibert was able to get Wolf Hawkins last week it seems that anything is possible in DAVE. Speaking of Wolf Hawkins during his match with Eddie Peak last week he was attacked by Joey Minnesota. Afterwards Minnesota challenged Wolf to a match at Back in Black. Will Hawkins accept the challenge or turn it down? Find out this week on DZTV. Speaking of challenges one of the stranger ones we've had in DAVE is Jack Geidroyc challenging Nemesis to a match at Back in Black. As we all know Nemesis is now retired and working as a color commentator. Geidroyc seemed very serious about this challenge going so far as to pull himself from the battle royal. Will this investment pay off or not? Will Nemesis accept this challenge for one final match or not? Also to be noted is the downward spiral Eric Tyler seems to have found himself in lately. At Christmas Clash Tyler was unable to take the Unified Championship from Eddie Peak and at the last DZTV he was eliminated from the battle royal, and by his own partner Acid no less. It seems these two have made amends and will be taking on the DAVE Tag Team Champions on this weeks DZTV. Match Listing: -The New Jersey Devils vs. Eric Tyler & Acid -Jack Geidroyc vs. JD Morgan card subject to change
All Predictions, comments, feedback, etc. welcome

Phil burst into my office for the 53rd time this week (yes, I'm counting). He had a grave look upon his face. Considering we were only a few hours away from the show I knew this couldn't be good. Phil yelled out "That son of a bitch is dead." Oh boy, someone's getting fired. I asked Phil who and what he was talking about. He told me that Carl Batch had signed a contract with the SWF. For those not in the know Batch has been working as the manager for Eddie Peak, our Unified Champion. "That's alright, we can just write him out. When does his contract with them start?" "Tomorrow." "And you're just telling me about this now?" "I'm just finding out about this now." "You mean he waited this long to tell you?" "Yes, and that SOB is dead next time I see him." "Well then lets give him a proper send off. We can have Peak attack him. It can add to Peaks psychotic gimmick and get rid of Batch. Two birds with one stone, ya know." "There's where the problem is. When he called he also informed me that he had somewhere else to work tonight." "You gotta be kidding me." "No, I'm not. And if I knew where he was going to be I can guarantee I'd get my revenge somehow. Now get to work and make sure you write Batch out of this show." Well this ain't good. The DAVE curse continues, once the 'Big Dogs' feel you're ready they offer you too much money to turn down. Let's hope I'm the person who can make DAVE bigger than the SWF and TCW. I better get back to work writing the show, I have some changes to make. Brandon tells Minnesota to leave, he has something more important to talk about. Minnesota snatches the microphone back from Brandon. That's when Peak sneaks into the ring. He attacks Brandon from behind and Minnesota is more than happy to help. The 2 on 1 doesn't last long as Wolf Hawkins makes his way to the ring and takes down Minnesota. Peak jumps Hawkins and a 2-on-1 begins on him. Brandon gets up and attacks Peak. Before long this has turned into 1 big brawl and security is out to break it up. As all 4 are separated Phil Vibert makes his way onto the stage. He says that if the 4 of them want to fight so badly they can, in a tag team match tonight. Wolf Hawkins and Big Cat Brandon will take on Eddie Peak and Joey Minnesota. (C) -The School of Tradition are backstage. The New Wave watch on as Tyler virtually interrogates Acid over what happened during the battle royal last week. Tyler rants on about how the School should be a well oiled machine before asking Acid if he's a well oiled gear or a broken spring. Acid replies "Last week was an accident, but if you don't shut up the next time won't be." before walking off. (C+) -Match #1- Eric Tyler & Acid vs. The NJ Devils- Tyler and Acid were in control of The NJ Devils throughout this match. Unfortunately Tyler and Acid weren't on the same page for this match and it showed when Acid walked out on Tyler and the match after nailing him with a superkick. As Acid left Braun capitalized and hit Tyler with a Braun Damage to pick up an upset win. Winners: NJ Devils in 7:38 Rating (C-) -The New Wave come out to check on Eric Tyler. Scout gets on the microphone and challenges The NJ Devils to a match at Back in Black in 'Eric Tylers Honor'. (C) -Match #2- JD Morgan vs. Jack Giedroyc- These two just didn't seem to work well together. What a shame. A pretty good match nonetheless. They tried out wrestling each other, but in the end Geidroyc prevailed after hitting a Crashing On. Winners: Jack Geidroyc in 9:58 Rating (C+) -Geidroyc gets a mic and challenges Nemesis to a match again. Nemesis still doesn't respond to it. (C-) -It's time for this weeks special guest as Phil Vibert comes out to introduce them. The announcers put over how big the announcement of Wolf Hawkins was last week and how it could be anybody. Naess: "You remember the shock of this crowd last week when Vibert managed to get Wolf Hawkins. Who do you think it'll be this week." Nemesis: "I have no idea. It could be anyone from the guy on the corner in the Santa suit that doesn't realize Christmas is over to anyone in the wrestling world, but I'm not gonna be impressed unless he can get Tommy Cornell in here." Vibert: "Last week I proved once again that anything can and does happen here in DAVE. Through a few special connections I have I was able to get Wolf Hawkins here in DAVE. This week I bring to you one of the few hardcore icons in American wrestling to have never passed through DAVE. I give to you the Arizona Assassin Genghis Rahn." Rahn makes his way out to the ring, but he never made it. Instead he was attacked by Madman Boone, Rahns former partner in Hardcore Uproar. Boone Beats and bloodies Rahn before security is out to 'escort' Boone out of the building. (C for the surprise, D+ for the attack) -Match #3- Joey Minnesota & Eddie Peak vs. Wolf Hawkins & Big Cat Brandon- A good match from these 4 despite the fact that Hawkins and Brandon had absolutely no chemistry as a team. You would think 2 guys that have been in a tag team their entire careers would be able to work well with others. Anyways, onto the match itself. Neither team was able to gain a clear advantage over the other and this match swung back and forth because of it. A few interesting notes from this match are that Peak and Brandon didn't get a chance to touch each other in this match and that whenever Wolf was tagged in Minnesota scrambled to his corner to tag in Peak. None of these 4 were able to finish anyone off and the match was ended as time limit draw due to time constraints. Winner: DRAW in 16:00 Rating (C+) Final Rating (C-)
Quick Results: -The New Jersey Devils defeated Acid and Eric Tyler (C-) -Jack Giedroyc defeated JD Morgan (C+) -Joey Minnesota and Eddie Peak drew with Wolf Hawkins and Big Cat Brandon (C+)
From Davewrestling.com
Official Preview for DAVE Danger Zone TV One has to wonder what's going on with Eddie Peak. Last week DAVE got word that Carl Batch was leaving. His reason cited was "That psycho is gonna kill somebody one of these days and I sure as hell ain't gonna be that person." What's going to happen to Peak now that Carl Batch, Doug Peak and Bryan Holmes are all gone? In the main event Big Cat Brandon will put his guaranteed title shot at Back in Black on the line against Eric Tyler. Things haven't been going very well for Eric Tyler lately with him having problems with Acid, but it seems he's hoping for a change of luck. Will Tyler be able to pull off the victory and get his rematch or will Brandon keep his title shot? Also on the show Joey Minnesota will be taking on Art Reed in what he's referring to as a warm-up for his match with Wolf Hawkins at Back in Black. Does Minnesota have this one in the bag or can Reed pull off a big win? Also on this episode of DZTV Jack Geidroyc plans to challenge Nemesis again. Will Nemesis finally accept or will Geidroyc be left hanging for Back in Black? Tune in this Friday at 11 on East Coast Today to see all this and more. Match Listing -Joey Minnesota vs. Art Reed -Scout vs. Tank Bradley -Big Cat Brandon vs. Eric Tyler
All Predictions, comments, feedback, etc. welcome

DAVE Danger Zone TV Thursday Week 3, January 2007 Held at The McGraw Arena in front of 4,130 people Dark Matches -Old School (Steve Flash & William Hayes) defeated The McWade Brothers in 4:58 when Steve Flash defeated Dallas McWade by pinfall with a Flash Bang. (C-) -Ultimate Phoenix defeated Black Eagle in 8:58 by pinfall with a Phoenix Firebird Splash. (C+) Main Show Mitch Naess, Nemesis and Emma Chase welcome everyone to Danger Zone TV -The show starts off with Eddie Peak sitting in a dark corner backstage rocking back and forth. Peak is talking to Carl Batch about what he's going to do to Big Cat Brandon at Back in Black and believe me it's some pretty graphic stuff. The camera then pans out to reveal that nobodies there, which makes sense since Batch tucked his tail between his legs and left for the SWF last week. Peak continues his conversation with himself before getting up and walking off. (B) -Match #1-Joey Minnesota vs. Art Reed- These two are both great technicians and gave the crowd a great match as a result. While Reed looked good out there he just wasn't able to beat Minnesota. Minnesota hit Reed with a Minnesota Salute which finished him off. Winner:Joey Minnesota in 9:50 Rating (B-) -Minnesota grabs a mic and addresses Wolf Hawkins. Minnesota talks about Hawkins accomplishments in the business from being trained by Tommy Cornell to being a former TCW Tag Team Champion to being TCWs golden boy. After going through the list he then says "Well all of that means nothing. You've never stepped into the ring with somebody as good as me. I'll prove once and for all Joey Minnesota is the future of Pro Wrestling so pack your bags hot shot because at Back in Black I'm sending you back to the minor leagues with a bruised ego." (C+) -Eddie Peak calmly enters Phil Viberts office and proceeds to jump over his desk and pull him up by the collar. Peak demands a match with Big Cat Brandon tonight. Phil refuses and tries to explain to Peak that Brandon already has a match tonight. Peak makes his demand again and Vibert tries to explain it to Peak once more. Peak doesn't like the answer and makes his demand yet again. Viberts continues to try to explain it to Peak, but Peak gets frustrated and attacks Vibert. Security tries pulling Peak away, but Peak goes after them too. It takes every security guard in the building and half of the locker room to restrain Peak (B-) -Jack Geidroyc makes his way out to the ring. He reiterates his challenge to Nemesis from the last 2 weeks. At the end of it he proposes a question to Nemesis "What's the matter? Don't have it in you anymore old man?" This got a rise out of Nemesis as he stood up and made his way into the ring. He snatched Geidroycs mic and answered his challenge. "I'm more than twice the man you'll ever be even at 48, so watch what you say to me punk. You've been out here for 3 weeks PMS'ing your life story about how all you ever wanted to do was to be a great wrestler. I've listened to that sob story too many times and I think my ears are starting to bleed because of it. If you wanted to have your ass handed to you then you finally got your pathetic little wish. At Back in Black I'll come out of retirement to clean up DAVE and send you back to Britain where you can be a big fish in a small pond again and you can keep your delusional thoughts of grandeur alive after I put them on life support. A word of advice though; watch what you wish for, you may get it." (B) -Match #2-Tank Bradley vs. Scout- A few of the notes I received from Nemesis were: The very vocal crowd treated Tank Bradley with utter contempt. Tank Bradley was exhausted by the end. i.e. Tank has no future in DAVE. Wait, did I type that out loud? Dammit. Oh, well, it's not like I'm lying. A decent match which saw Scout test out the old "broomstick theory." He put it in a Special Force and caused it to tap. Winners:Scout in 6:59 Rating (C-) -Next up we get a video a sit-down interview from Madman Boone taped earlier today. Boone answers the question everyone has been asking him: why he attacked Genghis Rahn. Boone goes off on a rant about how great of a team they were in TCW and then when roster cut time came the big shots in management decided he wasn't worth keeping around. And what did Rahn do to help his partner keep his job? Absolutely nothing. Rahn didn't lift a finger to help him or even so much as say good bye to him as he left. He also hasn't returned any of his calls. Boone came to DAVE to get his revenge on Rahn and prove to TCW that they fired the wrong man. (C) -Backstage Eric Tyler is yelling at Acid about what he did to Tyler in the match last week. (Superkicking Tyler for those of you with a short memory) The two go back and forth and as it looks like they're about to come to blows Scout steps in between them and proposes they settle it in the ring. Acid agrees and walks off before Tyler can even agree to the match. (C+) -We see The Wolverine, friend and former partner of Big Cat Brandon, standing backstage watching one of the monitors as Brandons match is about to begin. In the background we see Eddie Peak walk into frame. Peak stops and stands there just staring at the Wolverine before a sadistic grin appears on his face. Peak approaches Wolverine and stands there breathing heavily over the shoulder of the Wolverine. Wolverine turns around and asks him if he wants something. Peak responds to that by asking "Have you ever gone fishing before?" Wolverine looks confused but answers that he has. Peak responds to that with "Good, then you know what bait does." and shoves the Wolverine into the monitor knocking the Wolverine and the cameraman down in the process. (C) -Match #3-Eric Tyler vs. Big Cat Brandon- A good match out of these 2 as would be expected. Brandon and Tyler brawled back and forth to start with Brandon gaining the upper hand in the match. Brandon stayed in control of the match until Scout distracted the ref. Tyler capitalized with a low blow on Brandon and began wearing him down from there. Tyler was fully in control of the match until Scout distracted the ref again. Acid came running in and nailed Tyler with a superkick. He then decided to add injury to injury and went up top delivering an Acid Rain Bomb on his way down. Acid bailed out of the ring while Brandon got up. He hit Tyler with a Brandon Bomb Drop and it was all over. Winner:Big Cat Brandon in 17:36 Rating (B-) -Brandon celebrates his win when Peak shows up on the tron. He starts laughing maniacally which is never a good sign. Peak goes on to say that he may not be able to hurt Brandon tonight but he's got the next best thing. He then reaches down to pull up a bloodied and nearly unconscious Wolverine. Brandon flips out in the ring while Peak tells him that he'll see him at Back in Black. He laughs again as he walks off leaving the camera on the bloody mess that is the Wolverine. (C+) Final Rating (C+)
Quick Results: -Joey Minnesota defeated Art Reed (B-) -Scout defeated Tank Bradley (C-) -Big Cat Brandon defeated Eric Tyler (B-)

I am digging this quite a bit my friend. I like the way you set this diary up, nice and organized and well structured. Also like the cards I've read so far, I think pushing the Big Cat is the way to go too.
Thanks for the feedback, it's always appreciated. It's nice to know someone likes the layout of my write-ups, I try to keep it as easy to follow as I can. As for pushing Brandon, him and Peak are the biggest stars DAVE has left (under 40) so it's kind of a no-brainer. As a btw, I'm enjoying your diary as well. -------- From Davewrestling.com
Official Preview for DAVE Danger Zone TV Two days away from Back in Black DAVE will be holding the final Danger Zone TV before this monumental event. The rivalry between the DAVE Unified Champion and challenger has gotten heated. Eddie Peak has been on a rampage through DAVE lately and it doesn't seem like it'll stop soon. Last week the champion was seen talking to himself and attacked Phil Vibert in his office. He then proceeded to leave the Wolverine a beaten, bloodied mess. The Wolverine needed stitches after that and likely won't be at this weeks DZTV. The question now is with Back in Black only days away can anybody keep these two from trying to tear each other apart? We should also note that Phil Vibert has informed this site that he'll have an important announcement regarding the Back in Black main event. Elsewhere we may be seeing the School of Tradition crumbling. Acid and Tyler haven't seen eye to eye all month now. Acid challenged Tyler to a match at Back in Black and cemented that by costing Tyler a match to Big Cat Brandon. Tyler has been on a losing streak as of late which has kept him in an even worse mood than usual. This week he takes on Art Reed. Will Tyler get the warm-up he needs or will his unlucky streak continue? While on the subject of the School of Tradition the New Wave will be challenging for the Tag Team Championships at Back in Black. Last Week Scout defeated Tank Bradley. This week Guide will take on the veteran Alex Braun. Can the New Wave make it 2-0 going into Back in Black? Nemesis finally accepted Jack Giedroycs challenge last week. Nemesis didn't seemed too enthralled by the idea of wrestling Giedroyc, but anyone who knows Nemesis knows that he's missed his in-ring days. Giedroyc may have bitten off more than he can chew but only time will tell. Tune in this Friday at 11 on East Coast Today to see all this and more. This was the second time I awoke to the sounds of my fax machine buzzing (Originality ~!). It was from Phil, surprise surprise. I was half awake when I read it, but it read something like this
Dear Booking Monkey, I'm calling a creative meeting at the headquarters. Be there. And be there by noon or I may get the urge to fire you. blah blah blah, fancy words, blah blah blah etc. Your Boss, Phil Vibert
I'm sure there was more to it but you get the gist. I figured this had something to do with all of the new talent coming in and maybe me getting paid for all of the overtime I've worked (it's worth a shot). I went back to sleep. Bad idea. I woke up at around noon, this time to the sound of my alarm clock blaring static because it can't pick up any radio stations. I hope Phil doesn't mind if I'm late. Again. I arrived at the office, and I use that word loosely, at about 1. The people who own the laundromat stared at pointed at me like they usually do. I have no clue why. I avoided the dead rat on the stairwell up. At least it's not Fluffy, I like that rat. I entered the office which was busier than usual, even on the night of a show. It seemed everyone had something they were working on. Emma Chase was behind the secretaries desk as usual, Vin Tanner was making coffee for all the boys, JD Morgan was still reading Advertising for dummies, Acid was working on t-shirt designs, Joey Minnesota was struggling with the copy machine (I think Nemesis may have broken it), Shawn Gonzalez was yelli... teaching respect to the Latino Kings, and Alex Braun was trying to teach Tank Bradley that psychology isn't just for quacks. Interestingly enough I couldn't find Nemesis, Tyler, Giedroyc, Brandon or Peak anywhere. Emma pointed me to Phils office. I walked in the door to find Phil, Nemesis, Tyler, Peak, Brandon, and Giedroyc sitting at a table. Apparently they've been waiting for me. For an hour. Vibert tells me to "Sit down, shut up, and close that damn door." Phil's in a good mood today I see. And that wasn't sarcasm. He then proceeded to throw each of us a handout. On it was information on our new PPV schedule, the new talent we've got coming in, and some ideas on how to expand DAVE. It also had a few jokes about USPW on it. My favorite was "What do you call a 7' tall man? USPW approved" It's funny cuz it's true. Phil brought the meeting underway by talking about the new talent that was coming into DAVE. Among those were Ultimate Phoenix, Steve Flash, William Hayes, Dog Fyte, Black Eagle, Rhino Umaga, Jungle Jack, Fumihiro Ota, Hell Monkey, Joss Thompson, Mainstream Hernandez, and Trent Shaffer. Ideas were flung around throughout the rest of the meeting on how to use them, but in the end it's my decision. Flash and Hayes will team, which will help Hayes improve quickly and keep Flash relevant despite not being much younger than most of our over the hill wrestlers. Mainstream Hernandez and Trent Shaffer will team to flesh out the tag team scene. Phoenix, Eagle, Ota, and Monkey will be the backbone of a cruiserweight division for DAVE. The rest of them I'm still working on. That's what most of the meeting consisted on. Phil told more bad jokes about USPW and SWF, although not TCW. I guess that working agreement means more to him than I thought. We also went over how to go about pulling off Back in Black, which I won't reveal here. Everyone then threw regions in a hat to see where we would expand DAVE to. The Southeast won. At least we have TV out there. Phil called an end to the meeting and everyone went back to doing what they were before noon, except me. Vibert stopped me on my way out the door to talk to me privately. He wanted me to give him my honest opinion on DAVE. Phil seemed pretty distraught. He told me that he was worried about DAVEs future. He reminded me about how many of his talents have been stolen or have retired and how many are right around the corner from retirement. Phil seemed worried that the new generation wouldn't be able to get over like the old one did. I had to reassure him that I would do my best to make DAVE better than it's ever been before and that the talent would get over no matter how hard I had to work. Speaking of work I had the brilliant (this one is sarcasm) idea to ask him to be paid for my overtime. He looked about ready to stab me while he yelled at me. I told him I was just joking. I don't think he bought it, but he did stop yelling at me so who am I to complain? As I was ready to finally leave Phils office he stopped me. He then asked me if I knew of any vacant building or buildings for sale. I asked him why. His response was "Those damn people who own the laundromat think this is a drug ring." Well, that finally explains the funny looks. I told him that I didn't and he finally let me leave. This place a drug ring? Where'd they get that idea. I mean I know that some of our guys look like junkies, and some are freakishly muscular, and some seem out of it, and some seem crazy, and .... I'm just gonna shut up now. I walked to my closet while observing the offices. Everyone was basically doing what they were doing 20 minutes ago. Although now Nemesis was 'helping' Joey with the copy machine and Emma Chase and Sammy Bach were making out at the desk, some guys have all the luck. All in all just a normal day at the office. I got to my closet where I was greeted by Fluffy. Time to get to booking the show.

(C+) Main Show Mitch Naess, Nemesis and Emma Chase welcome everyone to Danger Zone TV -Big Cat Brandon kicks the door in on Phil Viberts office and storms in. Brandon demands a match with Peak tonight because of what he did to the Wolverine last week. Vibert refuses the match for tonight pointing out that Back in Black is only 2 days away. Vibert said that he'll do something to make it up to Brandon reminding him what Peak did to him last week. Phil said he wants revenge on Peak too. Brandon asked what he was going to do, but Vibert said he and everyone else will have to wait until the end of Danger Zone TV to find out. (C+) -In the back the Latino Kings are talking about something when out of nowhere Eddie Peak jumped Hector Galindo. Velasquez and Chavez ran off leaving him at the mercy of Peak. Peak continued to beat him down and then threw him through a wall before laughing and walking off as if nothing just happened. (D+) -Match #1-Alex Braun vs. Guide- Braun put up a fight, but it didn't seem to be enough. Guide took control of the match. Braun was able to rally a comeback late into the match, but Scout cut it short. Guide capitalized on his partners interference and hit a Guided Missile. Winner: Guide in 7:48 Rating (C) -In the back Joey Minnesota cuts a promo on Wolf Hawkins. Minnesota talks about how not even Tommy Cornell could beat Joey Minnesota so being trained by him won't help Wolf Hawkins. He said Wolf had never stepped into a ring with a wrestler the caliber of himself. He also said he would do to TCWs roster what he's done to DAVEs, beat them all. Minnesota guaranteed victory for himself at Back in Black. (C+) -Vin Tanner is seen backstage getting something to eat when out of nowhere Eddie Peak jumps him. Peak strikes away at the head of Tanner all the while calling him Brandon. Peak then grabs a salad and walks off. (C+) -Backstage the camera is on Genghis Rahn as he comes face to face with Madman Boone. Boone gets in his face about what happened between them in TCW. Rahn says that he has no problems with Boone, but Boone doesn't want to listen to that. Rahn tells Boone that he doesn't want to fight him and Boone calls him a coward because of it. The 2 get into a heated argument and finally come to blows. Security is quickly on them and they're pulled apart. (C) -Match #2-Jack Giedroyc vs. Fumihiro Ota- A great match between these 2 which helps give me some faith that I may have found a potential star in Ota. Giedroyc and Ota went back and forth with neither gaining a clear cut advantage until the end of the match. Giedroyc was able to catch Ota with a Crashing On and it was all over from there. Winners: Jack Geidroyc in 12:35 Rating (B-) -Giedroyc celebrates his hard fought victory in the ring when Nemesis takes off his headset and charges the ring. He attacks Giedroyc as his back is turned. He pummels him before delivering a Nemesis arrow on him. (B) -The theme of the night seems to be attacks and it continues as does Peaks rampage through the locker room. This time he attacks Johnny Martin leaving him down and out all the while referring to him as Brandon. (C+) -Eric Tyler is in the back being interviewed about his match tonight against Art Reed and this Saturday at Back in Black against Acid Tyler: "Tonight is just a warm-up, Reed doesn't have a chance in hell against me. And if Acid decides to show his mask in my match then I'll proceed to rip it off and shove it down his throat. I've given Acid chance after chance and yet he still wants to turn his back on me. If it wasn't for me he'd still be on the indy scene losing to some jobber named Fox Mask every night. I took him in and gave him a home in The School of Tradition. I made him what he is today by taking time out of my own life to train him and this is how he thanks me? I'm gonna beat your ungrateful ass so bad at Back in Black that you'll be begging Vibert out of your contract so that you don't have to suffer any more ass whoopings from me. At Back in Black the School of Tradition and DAVE for that matter will lose a member." (C+) -Match #3-Art Reed vs. Eric Tyler- Damn you non-clickyness (it's a word). Needless to say this match wasn't pretty. I was really expecting more from these 2. As for the match itself Tyler controlled the majority of it. There were moments though that made it seem as if Reed may get the upset, but those thoughts were crushed when Tyler kicked out after a Dark Matter. Reed locked in a Dread Lock with Tyler in the middle of the ring. Tyler crawled close to the ropes when Guide distracted the ref and Scout came in to break the Dread Lock. Tyler recovered and put Reed in a Tradition Lift. Reed had no choice but to tap. Winner: Eric Tyler in 14:29 Rating (C-) -Tyler celebrates in the ring as the theme of the night bites him in the ass. Acid Runs in and brawls with Tyler. The 2 of them go back and forth trading blows. Then, out of nowhere Eddie Peak joins in and starts beating down on Acid. This draws out Big Cat Brandon who ignores Tyler and goes right for Peak. The brawl spills out of the ring with Acid and Tyler fighting all the way into the back through the crowd. Brandon and Peak stay around ringside hitting each other with whatever they can find. The brawl is interrupted when the music of Phil Vibert hits and he appears on the stage. Viberts makes his big announcement he alluded to earlier in the night. The Unified Championship Match at Back in Black between Big Cat Brandon and Eddie Peak will now be contested in a Steel Cage. (C+ for the brawl, B for the announcement) Final Rating (C): If only there were a logical reason to have put Giedroyc/Ota in the main event slot. (C-) Main Show Mitch Naess, Nemesis and Emma Chase welcome everyone to DAVE Back in Black - Back in Black kicks off with Eddie Peak in a dark corner backstage talking to himself. He's talking to 'Carl Batch' about what he's gonna do to Brandon tonight inside a steel cage. Nemesis makes the remark: "This is one of the reasons Peak is so dangerous. Brandon can't play mind games with Peak. Peak doesn't have a mind to play games with. And even if you try he'll probably just wind up stabbing you with a fork." (B+) -Match #1-DAVE Tag Team Championship Match- The New Wave vs. The NJ Devils (c)- Scout took out Braun before the bell even rang. That left Tank Bradley to fend for himself for the rest of this match. From that point on this was a glorified squash. Scout locked him in a Special Force while Guide held Braun down. Bradley tapped out leaving DAVE with new Tag Team Champions. Winners and NEW Tag Team Champions: The New Wave in 4:48 Rating (C-) -Guide and Scout aren't done with the former champions yet it seems. They throw Braun out of the ring and viciously attack Bradley much to the crowds delight. (C+) -In the back The Latino Kings are pestering Travis Century. The Kings talk about how old and untalented(Irony?) he is. Century gets fed up with it and kicks them out of the locker room, literally. (D-) -Then, in what's quite a surprise Emma Chase leaves the announce table grabbing a mic on her way and gets into the ring. She says that the tag team division in DAVE needs something to motivate it. She says that she has just the solution, a tournament, but not just any tournament. The winners will receive a very special gift, the managerial services of Emma Chase. She also announces the first match in the tournament is next. (C-) -Match #2-Adrenaline Rush vs. The McWades- The McWades tried to get advantage early in this match by working over Teddy Powell with power moves and it worked. They made quick tags in and out while working Powell over. Powell was able to duck a big boot and dive for the tag to Sammy Bach. Bach came in like a house of fire knocking the McWades over repeatedly. Powell and Bach set up Dean McWade for an Epinephrine Injection and hit it. Bach makes the cover and Adrenaline Rush are victorious. Winners: Adrenaline Rush in 8:32 Rating (D+) -The Latino Kings are now backstage pestering their mentor Shawn Gonzalez. Travis Century finds them and is about to attack the Kings when Gonzalez gets in between them. Shawn asks Travis why he's so angry. Centurys answer is "Those little bastards stole my damn wallet. If they don't give it back to me now I'm gonna beat them so bad that their mothers feel it." Gonzalez questions the Kings about whether or not they did it, they all look away. Gonzalez tries to convince Century that the Kings didn't steal his wallet. Century gets more pissed off and challenges Gonzalez to a match. Gonzalez accepts. The two walk off for the match as the Kings stay put. Once Gonzalez and Century are out of sight Velasquez pulls out the wallet and asks: "Who's up for drinks? They're on Travis." (C) -Match #3-DAVE Cruiserweight Championship Ladder Match-Fumihiro Ota vs. Blaze vs. Plague vs. Ultimate Phoenix- A fantastic match between these 4 who are relatively unknown to the DAVE audience. That didn't matter much though because they were all known by the end of this match. As for the match itself Ota and Phoenix seemed to target each other for most of this match while Blaze and Plague did the same to each other. This match was filled with plenty of high spots to get the crowd chanting 'Holy ****' in unison. There was also times in the match where it looked like any one of these four could win it. In the end though it came down to Ota and Phoenix slugging it out at the top of the ladder. Ota delivered a kick to the side of Phoenixes head out of nowhere knocking him off the ladder. Ota pulled down the belt to become the first DAVE Cruiserweight Champion. Winner and NEW Cruiserweight Champion: Fumihiro Ota in 11:45 Rating (B-) -Ota celebrates his well deserved victory when he's jumped by Eddie Peak. Peak beats him down and then leaves. (D+ for the celebration, C+ for the attack) -Match #4-Travis Century vs. Shawn Gonzalez- Gonzalez still seemed a bit reluctant to be in this match, especially considering Century was red in the face with anger. A decent match with some distractions from the Latino Kings. In the end though Gonzalez was able to get Century into a Latino Crab. Century tapped out. Winner: Shawn Gonzalez in 7:56 Rating (C-) -Wolf Hawkins is backstage being interviewed for his upcoming match with Joey Minnesota Hawkins: "I keep hearing you talk about how you're better than everyone in TCW and how you're gonna beat me so easily. Joey, I think you're just bitter that you've never been in the big leagues, the best you can do is DAVE. You can say that you can beat Tommy Cornell all you want, but until I see it it's just a bunch of hot air. As for tonight I'll show you why people call me the future of pro wrestling and I'll do it in the middle of that ring." (C) -Match #5-Wolf Hawkins vs. Joey Minnesota- I was expecting more, but I'm pretty sure my expectations were too high. Still a great match nonetheless. The 2 started off the match going hold for hold with each other leading up to a pinning combination on Minnesota, which he was able to get out of at two. Hawkins proceeded to outwrestle Minnesota for a good few minutes, but Minnesota resorted to a thumb to the eye to gain advantage. Minnesota worked on Hawkins back and upper shoulder area to set up for an Empire Spiral. Minnesota went for it only to have it reversed into a tornado DDT. Both men go down and the ref gives the mandatory ten count while Hawkins and Minnesota make their way back to their feet. Minnesota charged at Hawkins only to be taken down with a drop toe hold. Hawkins started firing punch after punch at Minnesota rocking him. He then ran off the ropes and hit a clothesline taking Minnesota down. Hawkins picks Minnesota up. He sets him up for the Full Moon Rising when he just stops. Hawkins looks at the entranceway to see a familiar figure, Stevie Grayson. Minnesota takes advantage of the distraction trying for a roll-up. He only gets 2 as Hawkins turns his attention back to Joey. The two exchange punches with Hawkins winning out in the end. Hawkins hits a knee to the side of Minnesotas head. He sets him up for the Full Moon Rising again, but this time Grayson gets on the apron distracting both the ref and Hawkins. Hawkins nails Grayson taking him off the apron. Hawkins turns around as Minnesota jumps off the turnbuckle and hits a Minnesota Salute. Minnesota goes for the pin, 1...2...3. Winner: Joey Minnesota in 17:36 Rating (B-) -Minnesota and Grayson celebrate their victory. Grayson trash talks Hawkins while he's down and out. (C-) -Chris Caulfield is backstage watching the show on a monitor when he's jumped by Eddie Peak who proceeds to beat him down while referring to him as Brandon. (B) -Acid is in the back giving an interview about his match with Eric Tyler. True to character Acid keeps it short, simple, and to the point. Acid: "I've become sick of you Tyler. I've had to take orders from a has been living in a dream world where he's actually a winner. I've been held back by the School of Tradition for far too long and I'll prove tonight that I've always been better than Tyler. And if Scout or Guide get in my way I'll take them out too." (C-) -In the School of Traditions locker room Guide and Scout with their newly won Tag Team Championship belts are psyching Tyler up. They tell Tyler that he's the greatest and to go teach Acid what it means to be a student of Tradition. (C) -Match #6-Eric Tyler vs. Acid- Acid and Tyler stared each other down and the hatred in their eyes was pretty clear. Tyler tried to take a cheap shot at Acid, but it was caught. From here on out the match consisted of these two just punishing each other. The match see-sawed back and forth until a distraction from Scout allowed Tyler to low blow Acid and take advantage of this match. Tyler tried everything he could to put away Acid, but none of it worked. Every time Tyler tried for the Traditional Lift Acid was able to slip out. An enziguri would change the momentum in this match back over to Acid. Acid took shot after shot at Tylers head knocking him loopy. Acid then turned his attentions to Tylers knees. He worked them over and set Tyler in the Acidity Test. Tyler screamed in pain but held out from tapping. Guide distracted the ref this time as Scout made his way into the ring and not a second too soon. Tyler was tapping by this point. Scout dropped an elbow on Acid and started attacking him. Acid threw him off and gave him a kick to the side of the head. Scout went out as Tyler snuck in. Tyler rolled Acid up as the ref turned his attention back into the ring. 1...2.., Acid rolls out of it, he gets to his feet and hits a sit-out facebuster on Tyler. Acid goes to the top. He hits the Acid Rain Bomb. 1...2...3. Winner: Acid in 15:59 Rating (C+) -Acid celebrates his win as Tyler argues with the ref. He doesn't get much chance to convince him though as Eddie Peak makes another appearance and lays out Tyler. (C+) -Phil Vibert is now in the ring to make what he has called a big announcement. Vibert starts speaking about the history of DAVE. He says that it started out as nothing more than a dream of his to run a wrestling promotion. Fortunately for him that dream became a reality when he opened Danger And Violence Extreme. DAVE has been through war after war and has won them all. Now DAVE is preparing another war, a war that will take them to the top of the wrestling industry. Vibert then says that DAVE has brought back one of the original DAVE wrestlers. He brought back a key player in DAVEs rise and is a former 3 time DAVE Extreme Champion. Vibert says that he is proud to welcome Freddie Datsun back home. Datsun comes out and thanks Vibert for bringing him back home. Datsun thanks the fans for welcoming him back and says that he came back to DAVE to finish what he started and make DAVE a global entity. Datsun goes on, but it seems that Eddie Peak didn't go far as he slides into the ring attacks Datsun. He then goes after Vibert who luckily makes it out of the ring just in time. (C for the reveal and the attack) -Match #7-Genghis Rahn vs. Madman Boone- This is what's generally referred to as a 'cool-down match'. And what do you know, they don't even click. Terrific. Boone and Rahn brawled for a good 6:30 minutes with a few boring chants thrown in there. Neither man seemed to have gained an advantage which didn't really matter after what happened next. Jungle Jack charged the ring and completely destroyed the two of them. The ref couldn't get him out of there so he mercifully ended this match as a draw. Winner: Draw in 7:40 Rating (D) -The bell rings to end the match, but Jack continues his attack on Boone and Rahn. He now gets the weapons involved and cracks a steel chair over the heads of both Boone and Rahn. He continues the savage beating until security drags him away. EMTs are out to check on the broken bodies of Hardcore Uproar. (C-) -Jack Giedroyc is being interviewed for his match with Nemesis. Giedroyc: "I said it before and I'll say it again. I made a career in the UK scene by going out every night and stealing the show. I was given offers from DAVE, TCW, USPW, and the SWF. There was a reason I chose DAVE, and I'm stepping into the ring tonight with that reason. Nemesis, you've been one of the biggest names in wrestling for a long time now. It's going to be my honor to step into the ring with you tonight, but don't mistake that for weakness. I'm more prepared for tonight and for this match than I've ever been in my career. This is my chance to prove I belong with the big names in DAVE and the entire wrestling industry and I'm not planning on blowing it." (B+) -Match #8-Nemesis vs. Jack Giedroyc- This match was another one that started with a staredown. Nemesis could clearly be seen talking trash to Giedroyc while it didn't look like Giedroyc was talking. Nemesis dominated the early going. Giedroyc tried many times throughout to gain the upper hand and make a comeback. Nemesis continued to work on Giedroycs head and neck weakening him for when he goes for the Nemesis Arrow. Nemesis then went for the Nemesis Arrow. Giedroyc spun out of it and pulled Nemesis in dropping him with an STO. Giedroyc and Nemesis got up to their feet and Nemesis attempted to punch Giedroyc but got caught. Giedroyc started firing up and hit Nemesis with shot after shot. Giedroyc hit a Crashing On on Nemesis. 1..2..Nemesis kicks out. Giedroyc goes for another Crashing On, but is stopped by Nemesis. A kick to the gut and Nemesis has him set up for another Nemesis Arrow. Giedroyc spun out and tried for an STO again, but Nemesis ducks t and catches Giedroyc with a knee to the gut. He reels him in for another Nemesis Arrow. Giedroyc goes low this time dropping to his knees. He sweeps Nemesis' legs out from under him and goes for a jack knife pin. 1..2.. Nemesis is out. Nemesis gets to his feet and is caught with a second Crashing On. 1..2..3. Winner: Jack Giedroyc in 15:09 Rating (C) -Giedroyc walks over to offer his hand as a sign of respect to Nemesis for putting up a great fight. Nemesis refuses the handshake and walks away. (B) -Big Cat Brandon gives an interview about his upcoming match with Eddie Peak. Brandon: "Peak, you've made this personal. You beat and bloodied my best friend. He needed 17 stitches for the wound you put on his head. I won the battle royal, I earned my shot at your title and I'll be damned if I don't make the most of it. I'm going to brutalize you, make you pay, make you suffer. Then when I feel I've put you in enough pain I'll end the match and take something away from you. I'll take the DAVE Unified Championship from you." (B-) (Maybe he ain't so bad after all) -The camera is now in the dark hallway that Peak was in at the beginning of the show. The camera pans around before spotting Peak who is rocking back and forth talking to himself again. He's telling 'Carl Batch' that he's been beating up Brandon all night now and he doesn't have any chance of winning anymore. The interviewer approaches Peak cautiously and asks him what he thinks about his upcoming match with Big Cat Brandon. Peak responds by standing up, which scares the interviewer already and staring into the camera. Peak then starts repeating the words "You're gonna die" over and over before walking off, still chanting those words. (B for talking to himself, B- for the 'interview') -A video plays set to music that recaps the Peak/Brandon feud thus far. It shows Brandons battle royal win and the attack immediately afterwards. The video also highlights Peaks random attacks all month with him yelling out Brandon every time. It then shows the attack on the Wolverine and Brandons reaction to it. It ends with the brawl that they had on Thursday. (B-) -Match #9-DAVE Unified Championship Steel Cage Match-Big Cat Brandon vs. Eddie Peak (c)- As soon as Peak gets his foot through the ropes he goes after Brandon nailing him with vicious punches, forearms and elbows. Peak picks him up and launches Brandon into all four sides of the steel cage. Brandon is busted open already. Peak goes for a Peak of Perfection and nails it. Could the match be over already? He goes for the pin. 1..2. Kick out by Brandon. Peak looks pissed at the ref. He grabs him by the throat and throws him into the steel. Brandon in desperation lunges at Peak while his back is turned and repays Peak with vicious punches, forearms and elbows of his own. Brandon pummels and then hits a Brandon Bomb Drop. He pins Peak, but the ref is out cold. Brandon realizes he's going to have to climb out of the cage if he wants to win. Brandon climbs to the top rope before Peak jumps up and catches him. He smashes Brandons head into the steel a couple of times while Brandon fights back with elbows to the gut. Peak sets Brandon up and delivers a side russian suplex from the ropes taking himself and Brandon down. Peak and Brandon get to their feet and slug it out with Peak getting the advantage. Peak picks Brandon up and drives him spine first into the steel pole of the cage. Peak hits a Peak of perfection tossing Brandon into the steel. Peak goes for the pin before realizing he knocked him out. Peak climbed up the side of the cage. Brandon held onto Peaks leg, which brought Peak back into the ring. Peak nailed Brandon with a kick to the face. Peak then sets Brandon up for a Peak of The Devil which Mitch Naess observes "Peak must be getting desperate, he only attempts that move as a last resort.". Peak picks him up from behind and tries to drop him down on his head, but Brandon rolls out of it. He pushes Peak away. Brandon springs off the ropes and hits a Big Cat Pounce on Peak sending him flying into the steel. Brandon climbs the cage. Peak is back up and climbing. Brandon tries to make it to the outside, but Peak scurries up and grabs him. The two brawl as they climb onto the edge of the cage. Brandon puts a thumb to the eye of Peak and tosses him down to the mat. Brandon then makes him way down the side of the cage and to victory. Winner and NEW DAVE Unified Champion: Big Cat Brandon in 24:35 Rating (B) -The ref awards Brandon with the belt and he begins to celebrate. The Wolverine comes down to join in on the big celebration. Brandon and Wolverine embrace and Brandon celebrates some more as Back in Black comes to a close. (C) Final Rating (B-)
Quick Results: -The New Wave defeated The New Jersey Devils (C-) -Adrenaline Rush defeated The McWade Brothers (D+) -Fumihiro Ota defeated Blaze, Black Eagle and Ultimate Phoenix (B-) -Shawn Gonzalez defeated Travis Century (C-) -Joey Minnesota defeated Wolf Hawkins (B-) -Acid defeated Eric Tyler (C+) -Genghis Rahn drew with Madman Boone (D) -Jack Giedroyc defeated Nemesis (C) -Big Cat Brandon defeated Eddie Peak (B)
Random Thoughts from the Booking Chair -Minnesota and Acid finally made the move into the Main Event scene while Giedroyc solidified his spot there. -Brandon and Peak delivered. -Reed continues to put in good performances. -Ota may be getting a push soon with performances like those. -Velasquez is the only Latino King worth keeping around and his match with Reed proves why. He's still rough around the edges but he'll improve with time. -Tank Bradey is still worthless. -Nemesis is still the most entertaining guy on the roster while Giedroyc is getting some of it rubbed off on him. He'll need it too. -Minnesota/Hawkins I was expecting more out of to be honest. Can't complain about a B- though. -Acid may be the most over active competitor on our roster right now. Too bad it's in the half of the country we don't air in. -Tank Bradely was jobbed out all month and winds up more popular than he was before he was getting jobbed. Odd how these things work. -Bach was traded to TCW and come back with C+ popularity, up from the C- he started with. Reed, not so much. -I still find the idea of Peak randomly attacking everyone entertaining. Hopefully someone else does too. -------------------
PW Hits Monthly Recap by Smarky McBitchalot Let's start at the top of the heap with the SWF. And boy was it a heap of something this month. Completely middle of the line shows from them all month with some stupid angles thrown in just to drive away more of your core audience. Good job Eisens. The best match of the month was a Supreme TV opener between Enforcer Roberts and Groucho Bling. SWF When Hell Freezes over was definitely not worth my $34.95, I'm still waiting for my refund or those 3 hours of my life back. The show was headlined by Runaway Train defending against Skull DeBones. It was as bad as it sounds. The MVP of the SWF this month has to be Angry Gilmore. While Roberts 2 matches were technically better than Gilmores, Gilmore had to carry the team of Christian Faith and Enygma. Here's hoping your back heals up soon Angry, we need you. Also special mention goes to Rich Money who has been paired with every worthless wrestler on the roster and has had decent to good matches with them all. Push the man already. Over in Cornell World they aren't doing any better. They've been putting on decent shows but nothing worth going out of your way to see. And for some reason Texas Pete is going over wrestlers like RDJ. They keep trying to push this guy as a legit main eventer and nobodies buying it. Take a lesson from the SWF and get rid of him. Fire him, make him quit, ditch him in the middle of nowhere, feed him to hungry piranhas. I don't care, just get him off my screen. MVP this month? Wolf Hawkins. Some good matches from him in TCW and DAVE this month make him the easy choice. By the way, tell Hawkins and Cornell that no matter how good they are they can't carry RDJ, Liberty, Texas Pete and BLZ Bubb at the same time. No one can. Now onto the #3 promotion, USPW. Their new tag line is "Any livelier and a funeral may break out." If it weren't for Datsun and Devine I would've given up on USPW by now. Bruce the Giant has been stinking up the main event scene since he got there. I'll admit, I was happy to hear that Bruce was coming back at first, then I remembered why I was glad he went to Japan in the first place. If you thought that with 11 years under his belt Peter Valentine would know the difference between a wristlock and a headlock you'd be wrong. Let's move on, shall we? Now for #4, DAVE. It's sad how such a small promotion can outshine the big ones so easily. It's also sad that it doesn't air in my area. I can download it though, so I won't complain. Much. Get a better network already. Anyways onto the actual product. With a lack of crap matches (except for anything involving Tank Bradley. Fire his ass already.) and plenty of good ones it's hard to complain. DAVE also seem to be the only company looking ahead as they've been pushing Acid, Minnesota and Giedroyc as stars lately. After Brandon and Peaks performances this month it's no wonder they're being billed as DAVEs top stars. They've also been able to spin a negative into a positive with the departure of Carl Batch. Eddie Peaks character has gotten an overhaul as he's gone from psycho to rampaging psychotic monster who randomly attacks people. Who said character development had to be complicated? Also the cage match at Back in Black was brutal and not in the 'Peter Valentine Match' sense of the word. There's nothing else televised in North America, but that won't stop me from finding something else to watch. I got my AAA and CZCW DVDs this month and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone whose sick of this sports entertainment crap the SWF are giving you. The storylines are also better, I mean sure there are no storylines at all, but that's why they're better. And to those fans of NYCW who keep e mailing me asking why I don't review NYCW DVDs the answer is simple: USPW gives me more than enough washed up old men to watch every month. Another month, another recap. Thank you and take care to all reading this.

That was a damn fine show. I also enjoy the office segments a lot. Maybe... maybe you won't go to TCW so quickly? At least keep the save so you can come back to it. Heh.
Thanks for the feedback. I keep all of my saved games so if/when I get the full game I'll definately be doing a regular diary. So far it's a toss-up between DAVE 07 and CGC 05 though. Next up: Can I come up with a backstory for TCW that's original or at least doesn't start with a phone ringing? Keep reading to find out.

TCW

May 2006- TCW change from a sports entertainment promotion into a traditional one. TCW lose fans initially because of the drastic change. Also because head booker Sam Strong is unfamiliar with booking a traditional fed. June 2006- Joel Bryant is appointed head booker of TCW replacing Sam Strong. Cornell never answered why he made the change, but the general concensus feel it was merely to get Strong out of the booking comittee. August 2006- Sam Strong Leaves TCW. He takes control of USPW and transforms it into a cult phenomenon. (Editors note: Its' because it appeals to the long sought-after senior citizen age group. The action, if that word can even be used, is slow and easy for them to follow. It's a cool thing among 60 year olds, which is coincidentally also the average USPW worker age.) December 2006- With TCWs ratings slowly declining as well as show quality and general interest in the product Cornell points the finger at Joel Bryant. TCW begin looking for a replacement. January 2006- TCW promote booking team member J Silver to the position of head booker. Silver will book his first show this Tuesday. From TCW.com
Official Preview for Total Wrestling Sunday night at TCW Psycho Circus Ricky Dale Johnson was mere seconds away from regaining the World Championship from Tommy Cornell. It was then that Wolf Hawkins made his presence felt. Hawkins attacked Johnson disqualifying Cornell, but also saving his championship. Tonight on Total Wrestling Johnson gets a chance at revenge when he goes 1-on-1 with Cornells protege. Will Johnson get his revenge and beat Hawkins or will Cornell and Hawkins find a way out of this? Tune in this Tuesday at 9 on GNN Total Sports to see all this and more. Winner: The Darkness Warriors in 4:41 Rating (D+) -BLZ Bubb comes out to join the Darkness Warriors. Bubb says that starting tonight The Dark Brotherhood would begin their takeover of TCW and anyone who tries to stop them will fall prey to the darkness. (C-) -Match #2- TCW International Championship Match- Aaron Andrews vs. Rocky Golden (c)- Andrew and Golden started this match out evenly with neither man able to get a clear advantage. That all changed when Andrews hit a knee to the side of the head of Golden and spun around to take him down with a clothesline. From there on out it looked like Andrews could put Golden away at any time. Andrews went up top for a Flying Body Press. He hits it on Golden. It looks like we may have a new champion, but American Buffalo is out and distracts the ref. Andrews goes over to draw the attention of the ref. It works, but only after Golden rolls Andrews up. Golden pulls the tights and gets a 3 count from it. Andrews asks Cornell what this is all about. Cornell says that he sees in Aaron what he saw in Wolf Hawkins, someone he can mold into a star. Andrews questions why he should trust Cornell in the first place. Cornell tells Andrews "You have until next week to decide if you're with us, and if you're not then that makes you an enemy and trust me, you don't want that." and then walks off leaving Andrews with an unsure look on his face. A decent match that ended after a Stroke of Luck on Freddy Huggins. Winner: Chance Fortune in 16:40 Rating (D) -Match #4- Painful Procedure vs. The Machines- Painful Procedure started this match in the drivers seat, but that didn't last long. Machine #1 exploded on Shearer with a multitude of suplexes. In the end Machine #1 hit a Certain Defeat on Shearer and it certainly was defeat for Painful Procedure. Winner: The Machines in 7:38 Rating (C+) -The Machines celebrate their win when they're jumped from behind by The Darkness Warriors with BLZ shouting out encouragement to them. Jay and Raul work over Brent... I mean Machine #2 more so as they take a steel chair and take it to Hills hand. They leave the Machines laying as they hoist up the Tag Team Championship belts taunting their downed opponents. (E+) -Rick Law is backstage being interviewed about his upcoming match with Texas Pete. Law says that he's going to win his match with Pete tonight. He says that Pete has had to cheat and use illegal tactics to win his matches and tonight it stops. Rick Law is the law and he isn't going to let Pete get away with it anymore. (C+) -Match #5- Texas Pete vs. Rick Law- Law started this match off by out wrestling Pete. From there Law went on to dominate this match for the most part. Pete tried a variety of dirty tactics to try to gain the upper hand, but Law was ready for them. In the end Law hit Pete with a Long Arm of The Law and it was all over. Winner: Rick Law in 9:41 Rating (B) -Liberty is backstage being interviewed. He challenges Cornell to a match at Malice in Wonderland with his highly educated use of the english language. Liberty: "Tommy, dude, seeing you with the World Championship is a total buzzkill. It's so not cool. You've like beaten alot of people, but you haven't beaten me. Cornell, dude, I'm challenging you right now to go mono e mono with me at Malice in Wonderland. And Cornell, dude, me with the Heavyweight championship, now that would be cool." (B) -Wolf Hawkins talks about why he screwed Ricky Dale Johnson out of the Championship Sunday night. Wolf: "I did what I did because what I did was right. Ricky Dale shouldn't be anywhere near that belt. Do I, or anybody else for that matter, wanna say that they work for a promotion that has an in-bred hick representing it? I sure as hell don't. Do you? Ricky Bobby Peter Michael Anthony Robert Dale Johnson or whatever his name is should go back to the trailer park and go race Nascars or whatever it is rednecks do for a living. After I'm done with you tonight Ricky You're going to regret ever leaving that double wide of yours." (B-) -Ricky's being interviewed now about his upcoming match with Wolf. RDJ: "Last night Wolf cost me the World Championship. My life long dream ended 2 nights ago, and quite frankly I've been having a bit of a hard time sleeping. Every time I go to sleep all I can dream about is getting my hands around that punk kids neck and wringing it until he just dies already. It kinda scares me that I would actually wish death upon another man. Tonight I'm gonna get my chance to actually get my hands on Wolf. What I actually do to him, well, you and him are both gonna have to wait to find that out. As for all of his comments about me being a redneck, I may have a southern drawl and I may not have come from extravagant beginnings, but that's what's kept me humble unlike you. Everything you've got has been given to you Wolf. When you get in the ring with me you'll learn what it's like to actually earn something, because you're going to really have to earn it to be able to beat me, and quite frankly I don't think you have it in you." (C+) -Match #6- Wolf Hawkins vs. Ricky Dale Johnson- And they don't click. Fantastic. Johnson was unsurprisingly the aggressor in this match. Hawkins ducked behind the referee every time Johnson swung the momentum in his favor. The ref eventually got sick of it and shoved Wolf to the wolves as the expression goes. Johnson laid into Hawkins ruthlessly beating him. After a while Wolf employed a few cheap tactics to take over the match. Hawkins went for a Full Moon Rising, but it was ducked by RDJ. Johnson picked Wolf up and charged him into the corner delivering a Texas Hold 'em. Johnson sets Hawkins up for the Southern Justice which draws out Tommy Cornell. Cornell jumps in the ring and attacks RDJ causing the ref to call for the DQ. Winner: RDJ by DQ in 19:41 Rating (C+) -Cornell and Hawkins continue their assault with the referee having totally lost control. Liberty comes storming down to the ring, and the confused referee just lets it go, restarting the match as a tag team match. (B-) -Match #7- Wolf Hawkins & Tommy Cornell vs. Liberty & Ricky Dale Johnson- And now Wolf has absolutely no chemistry with Tommy Cornell. Tremendous. The ref had a hard time even getting these guys back into the ring to start this match. When they did the 2 men to start off were a fresh Cornell and the already worn out RDJ. Cornell and Hawkins kept RDJ isolated in their corner working on him for most of this match. RDJ tried rallying a comeback against Cornell, but fell short when Cornell gave Ricky a thumb to the eye. RDJ tried again against Hawkins. Johnson took Hawkins down with a Leaping Lariat and crawled over to his corner for the tag. The fresh Liberty burst into the ring taking down Hawkins repeatedly before nailing Cornell too. Liberty nails Hawkins with a Liberation Slam, but Cornell was there to break up the pin. Cornell and Liberty brawled with the ref trying to get Cornell back to his corner. RDJ jumped in and helped Liberty. Liberty and RDJ clotheslined Cornell over the top rope and to the floor. Liberty and RDJ turn around as Hawkins charges in but is ducked by RDJ. Liberty is taken over the top by Hawkins clothesline. RDJ now clotheslines Hawkins down to the floor. Johnson gets out of the ring and joins the other men in this match. A brawl breaks out between them. 10 seconds later the ref declares the match a double count-out. Winner: Draw in 14:49 Rating (C+) -Cornell and Hawkins continue their brawl with Liberty and RDJ. Troy Tornado jumps into this brawl and seems to have his sights set on Liberty as he goes right after him. Cornell and Hawkins double team RDJ leaving him down and out. They then work on Liberty making it a 3-on-1. Cornell, Hawkins and Tornado stand tall as Total Wrestling goes off the air. (B-) Final Rating (C+) Who would've ever though that the best televised match of the night would involve Texas Pete?
Quick Results: -The Darkness Warriors defeated The Young Guns (D+) -Rocky Golden defeated Aaron Andrews (C) -Chance Fortune defeated Freddy Huggins (D) -The Machines defeated Painful Procedure (C+) -Rick Law defeated Texas Pete (B) -Ricky Dale Johnson defeated Wolf Hawkins by DQ (C+) -The Dictatorship drew with Liberty and Ricky Dale Johnson (C+)
NEWS -Brent Hill, known better as Wrestling Machine #2 suffered a broken wrist on Tuesday. Apparently it was broken during the attack angle last week on Total Wrestling. Hill has been told that he can still work through it, but was advised to take it easy and not risk further injury. -MAW, CZCW and ROF have all accepted parent promotion agreements from TCW. They will all stay independent from TCW, but will become developmental grounds for future TCW wrestlers. Richard Eisen is kicking himself right about now. -SWF and TCW somehow ran the same venue Tuesday night. How is this possible you may ask? Magic I may retort. -Eugene Williams, TCW referee was released from his contract this week. He was very upset about this and posted an angry message about it on his myspace blog. He claimed that TCW have monkeys booking their shows and that Tommy Cornell is "the most overrated piece of **** that's ever stepped foot in a ring." Nope, not bitter at all. When we asked a TCW representative why he was fired we were only told "We can do better." -SWF was only able to pull off a C+ show last week. Runaway Train didn't wrestle. This makes me happy. Christian Faith did. This makes me sad. Big Smack Scott is still employed. This makes me worry about paralysis. From TCW.com
Official Preview for Total Wrestling The World title scene has been chaotic lately. With Tommy Cornell holding that belt he's had former champion Ricky Dale Johnson and Liberty after him. Wolf Hawkins and now Troy Tornado seem to have problems with both RDJ and Liberty. In all this chaos who will be named the challenger for Cornells title at Malice in Wonderland? Speaking of Cornell it seems that he has his eyes set on another young prospect. With the sucess Wolf Hawkins has had it seems that Tommy isn't lying when he says he can make stars. The question now is will Aaron Andrews "sell his soul" to Cornell? We'll have to wait till this Tuesday to find out. The Dark Brotherhood said they were going to begin their takeover of TCW and where did they start? The tag team divison. The Darkness Warriors targeted the reigning champions the Machines. They were able to break the wrist of Machine #2 taking him out of commision. From what we know Wrestling Machine #1 is planning on challenging the Leader of The Brotherhood, BLZ Bubb to a match in his partners honor. The questions now are when, where, and will he accept? In the main event of the evening we'll see Joel Bryant take on Giant Tana with the #1 contendership to the International title on the line. Rocky Golden should keep an eye on this one. Also on the show, by demand of Texas Pete, a rematch from last week between Pete and Rick Law. Tune in this Tuesday at 9 on GNN Total Sports to see all this and more. (C) Main Show Jason Azaria, Kyle Rhodes and JD Silver welcome everyone to TCW Total Wrestling -Match #1- The Darkness Warriors vs. The Nation Of Filth- The Darkness Warriors dominated this match. They toyed around with the NOF before finishing them off with an Endless Night. Winner: The Darkness Warriors in 6:43 Rating (D) -The Dark Brotherhood are in the ring celebrating when out to the ring come The Wrestling Machines. #1 has a mic in hand while #2 has a cast on hand. Machine #1: "Last week you 3 attacked me and my partner here, and you went too far. You broke his wrist and sent him to the sidelines. Tonight I'm going to return the favor. Bubb, I'm challenging you to a match right here, right now." Bubb: "You just made the last mistake of your career." Both Bubb and Machine throw down their mics and a brawl begins. (B-) -Match #2- Wrestling Machine #1 vs. BLZ Bubb- This one surprised me. I guess I lucked since it seems these 2 have chemistry together. Machine and Bubb slugged it out in the opening minutes jockeying for position. Machine #1 was surprisingly able to hold his own with the former World Champion. When Machine was able to take control of the match even Bubb himself was surprised. This led to interference from The Darkness Warriors. Raul distracted the ref while Jay nailed Machine with a Fade to Black. Bubb went for the pin, but was only able to get a 2 count. Bubb controlled the match from here trying multiple times to put Machine away. Bubb eventually got frustrated and had the Darkness Warriors interfere again. Only this time Machine #2 stopped it. He nailed Jay with his cast and then went after Bubb. Raul jumped down off the apron just in time for the ref to turn around and see Machine #2 nailing Bubb with a forearm. The ref called for a disqualification while Machine #2 argued with him over it. Winners: BLZ Bubb by DQ in 10:40 Rating (A) -The Darkness Warriors jump in and out numbers the Machines. The Warriors attack Machine #1 while Bubb concentrates on the already broken wrist of Machine #2. The Dark Brotherhood leave the Machines down and out. (C) -Rick Law is backstage warming up for his match when he's confronted by Texas Pete. Pete tells Law that he got lucky last week, but it won't happen again. Law tells Pete that if he wants to get beat again then all he has to do is ask. (B-) -Match #3- Texas Pete vs. Rick Law- This match was almost like deja-vu from last week. Law started it off by out wrestling Pete. From there Law went on to dominate this match for the most part. Pete tried a variety of dirty tactics to try to gain the upper hand, but Law was ready for them yet again. In the end Law hit Pete with a Long Arm of The Law and the fat lady has sung for Pete. Winner: Rick Law in 11:40 Rating (B) -Tommy Cornell finds Aaron Andrews backstage. He asks Andrews if he's made up his mind about joining Cornell. Andrews stands up and stares Tommy down. Andrews raises his arm, and shakes Cornells hand. "You've made a wise decision." were the words out of Cornells mouth before he left. (C) -Liberty makes his way down to the ring. He challenges Cornell to come down to the ring and accept his challenge. Somebody makes their way to the ring, but it's not Cornell, it's Ricky Dale Johnson. Johnson tells Liberty to back off, the title shot should be his because of his rematch clause. Liberty and RDJs war of words is about to become a fight when Genghis Rahn and the returning Madman Boone make their way out. Rahn tells RDJ and Liberty that Mr. Cornell promised them that if they took out Liberty and RDJ that Rahn would get the title shot at Malice in Wonderland. Liberty grabbed the mic from RDJ and said "Dudes, it's totally on like Donkey Kong Bitches." Hardcore Uproar charged the ring and the match was on. (B-) -Match #4- RDJ & Liberty vs. Hardcore Uproar- RDJ and Liberty were reluctant to tag with each other at first, but that quickly changed as Rahn and Boone double teamed them. This match really isn't the kind of match you would expect from 3 of TCWs main eventers, but I probably shouldn't have had them go this long. Oh well, you live, you learn. Anyways, in the end Liberty hit a Liberation Slam on Boone to pick up the win for his team. Winner: RDJ & Liberty in 17:39 Rating (C-) -Liberty and RDJ celebrate their win as Cornell, Hawkins, and Andrews storm the ring and attack RDJ and Liberty. The attack continues until Painful Procedure run out to make the save and chase the heels away. Cornell grabs a mic and tells Shearer and Hopkirk that if they want a match they can try their luck against Hawkins and Andrews. (B- for the attack, C+ for the save) -Match #5- Hawkins & Andrews vs. Painful Procedure- This may just be Painfuls best match. And neither were tired by the end either. Painful capitalized on the fact that Andrews and Hawkins had never tagged before. PP started the match off in control of Andrews. Andrews was able to get away long enough to get in a tag to Hawkins. Hawkins came into the match and took control back decisively. In the end Andrews finished Shearer off with a Flying Body Press for the win. (Mental Note: Give Andrews some better finishers.) Winner: Hawkins & Andrews in 7:51 Rating (B-) -Cornell gets into the ring with his 2 students to celebrate with them. Cornell grabs a mic and talks about his new group. Cornell: "This is what it's all about. The 3 men that stand in this ring right now are what wrestling is all about. In front of you stands Wolf Hawkins, one of the best wrestlers in the world right now and the future of professional wrestling. Aaron Andrews, one of the top young talents this sport has ever seen, and now under my wing he too is surely the future of professional wrestling. And last by definitely not least, me, the greatest wrestler to ever step foot in a ring. Together we will rule over TCW with a golden fist. You can call us the Dictatorship." (B-) -Backstage Liberty is walking down the hall when Troy Tornado bumps into him. Tornado irks Liberty on taunting him. Liberty eventually has enough and the argument turns physical. Trainers and refs are quick to break up the fight. (B+ for the taunting and brawl) -Rocky Golden is backstage being interviewed about his thoughts on tonights main event between Joel Bryant and Giant Tana over who will get a shot at Goldens International Championship. Golden says that he's not worried about 'chrome dome' or 'fatty'. He says that he'll put the title on the line against any and all challengers. He proceeds to make fun of his potential challengers some more before the interview ends. (C) -Backstage Robert Oxford is psyching up his partner for his match. Oxford reminds Bryant of what's on the line on this match: a shot at the International Championship. Bryant walks off for the match. (C-) -Giant Tana is being interviewed backstage about his upcoming match. Interviewer: "So how do you feel before going into this match with Joel Bryant?" Tana: "Well, I'm pretty hungry now that you ask." Interviewer: "Alright, well how how do you feel about the match itself?" Tana: "I'm pretty confident in my chances to win my match tonight." Interviewer: "And what are you planning on doing if you win?" Tana: "Probably going to whatever all you can eat buffet is open at this hour and then I'll probably go to Disney Land." Interviewer: "Really? Which one?" Tana: "Probably the one in Japan." Interviewer: "Japan?" Tana: "Yeah, I got a brother over there that would probably be pretty proud of me." Interviewer: "Well, good luck out there tonight." (C) -Match #6- Giant Tana vs. Joel Bryant- These two put on a great match. Bryant worked on Tana's legs while Tana just tried to inflict as much punishment on Bryant as he could. Bryant locked in a figure 4 on Tana wearing the legs down further. Tana struggled to make it to the ropes and was eventually able to. Bryant broke the lock, but soon after he backed away he was right back to work. He stomped the knee before pulling Tana away from the ropes and attempting the figure 4 again. Tana kicked him away. Tana sprung up quickly and locked in The Unbreakable Sleeper, a trademark of his relative, Samoan Machine. Joel struggled to make it to the ropes, but wasn't able to. Bryant was able to break the lock at Tana's feet and partially free himself. Bryant, head still held onto by Tana, rolled back pinning Tana's shoulders down. Tana got his shoulders up to kick out. This led Bryant to dragging Tana up with him. Bryant hit a Northern Lights suplex on Tana which only got him a 2. Bryant went for a One Shot Drop. He tried to get Tana onto his shoulders, but couldn't get him up. Tana fired back with quick jabs to the gut backing Bryant up. Tana whipped Bryant into the corner and hit a Big Fat Samoan Avalanche. Bryant fell out of the corner. Tana went for the Big Fat Samoan Squash and hit it on Bryant. He makes the pin, 1...2.. Bryant get his shoulder up. Tana goes for the Squash again, but Bryant rolls out of the way. A stiff kick to the back of the head dazes Tana. Bryant gets him on his feet and goes for the One Shot Drop. Bryant hits it. He makes the pin, 1...2...3. Winner: Joel Bryant in 16:56 Rating (A) -On screen appear Tommy Cornell, Wolf Hawkins and Aaron Andrews. They're standing in the parking lot and call out RDJ and Liberty. They wait for them to arrive and when they do Liberty is jumped from behind by Troy Tornado. It's a 4-on-2 beatdown now as Cornell slams RDJ into the side of a SUV. The Dictatorship and Tornado leave RDJ and Liberty lying in pools of their own blood as Total Wrestling comes to a close. (B-) Final Rating (B+) I really lucked out with the Bubb match. This is one feud I may have to keep going. Remind me not to put RDJ, Liberty, Rahn, and Boone in any combination together in a long match again. Crisis: Eisen kills Wrestling 1.3 by Smarky McBitchalot
The wrestling industry has officially gone down the toilet. It's been said and overly exaggerated before, but last night on Supreme TV we may well have just witnessed the downfall of professional wrestling. This particular episode crossed the line between bad and offensive and then skipped over to insulting my intelligence. Let's start with a recap of the first event in what will be known as Crisis: Eisen kills Wrestling 1.3. For weeks now Runaway Train and Christian Faith have been feuding. Train has come out on top every time because he's outsmarted Faith. That right there's a stretch, but I'll try to keep my personal opinion to myself for now. Train started teasing that he knows Christians darkest secret, the reason he turned to Christianity in the first place. Last week Train told Christian that if he lost a match to Steve Frehley he would reveal Christians secret. How does Steve Frehley figure into this? I have no f---in' clue. Well, anyways, Train interfered in the match costing Faith a victory. Train then proceeded to reveal Faiths secret. It turns out Christian raped and killed a girl by the name of Kathy Beck. He felt so bad that he turned to christianity. Logic Gap/Rhetorical Question #1: How did Faith not go to jail if this is public record? Back to the recap. If that weren't bad enough Train tries to get into Faiths head even more. How? By showing a video of The Guru with a wig and Christian Faith halloween mask on humping a mannequin. It's as bad as it sounds. This angle may have permanently scarred Faith and Trains career, which I guess wouldn't be such a bad thing, They need to retire. This angle was mocked by a number of late night shows and furthered most medias hatred of wrestling. Thank you Richard Eisen, you've made wrestling such a respectable sport. < /sarcasm> Now for the next chapter in Crisis: Eisen kills Wrestling 1.3. Here's a little background on it. Two big time Hollywood celebrities (kind of) have been having a war of words with each other that has made headlines in gossip magazines and bad TV shows on the Pop! Network. The celebrities are former reality TV star Ralph Hales and talk show host Alicia Shore (OOC:thank you random name generator). Richard decided that he would capitalize on this feud. How you may ask? Well my fine friends I'll tell you. He puts them in a match. But because both of them believe they are above wrestling (a reality tv star btw) and refused to have anything to do with it. Eisen and his flunkys decide to hire actors. Actors who look nothing like the celebrities. These two actors have a match, if you can actually call it that. The match is basically a skit, a bad one at that. The fans probably would have come close to rioting if apathy towards Richard Eisens mental condition hadn't set in. Thankfully there were fans smart enough to start 'boring' 'this match sucks' change the channel' and 'TCW' chants during it. What was learned from that? Probably nothing if your last name is Eisen. I learned something though. Granted I already knew this, but rejected MadTV Skits do not belong on wrestling shows. Did this match get any coverage in the media? Do SNL skits get any coverage in the media? I'll give the slower people a chance to think about that one. Ready for the answer? No, no they don't. To wrap this up let me say that I didn't think Christian Faith, Devil worshiper could be topped on the stupidity charts. Last night I was proven wrong. Twice. These incidents have left a black eye on the wrestling industry and I sincerely hope it can recover from it. Most people only know SWF and TCW exist, which saddens me a bit. Although they don't know that USPW exists, so I guess that may be a good thing. With SWF in the sorry state it's in pushing guys like Runaway Train, Christian Faith, and Enygma while Angry Gilmore, Rich Money, Squeeky McClean, Chris Morrisette, and Marc DuBois rot away in the midcard we can only hope SWF get a clue soon and/or TCW can step it up a notch. And before I forget, there's one more thing. Angry Gilmore has taken up golfing. And is about to turn face. I think you know what this is leading to.

OOC: If you could see the tie-ins to real life, congratulations, you're neither blind nor stupid. And if you get the Angry Gilmore joke congratulations again. This piece was originally planned as my way of dealing with patch 1.3. Then I realized it was only for the full game. Since the industry in my game is tanking anyways I figured why waste a perfectly good article/space filler? Hopefully somebody reading enjoyed it.
