  1. <p>Was going to make my own thread, but this probably falls here.</p><p> </p><p> Okay, I've played federations without storylines for so long that I routinely fail at doing storylines. Even though what I think should work, doesn't. Beginning to think I've been away from storyline federations for so long that I've forgotten how to run them.</p><p> </p><p> So let's say I have The Rock (special attraction, upper) vs Cody Rhodes (guy I'm building up, upper) for a storyline, with Cody sick and damned tired of The Rock getting all the attention when he's never actually there anymore.</p><p> </p><p> So I book what I think would work (ie: example, I haven't played a real life mod):</p><p> </p><p> Cody coming out and talking down Rock. B-</p><p> </p><p> Rock talking from Hollywood about how Cody's never deserved anything in his life. A-</p><p> </p><p> Cody interfering at The Rock's match against John Cena at a PPV. Match gets a B+</p><p> </p><p> I manage to convince Rock to come in for an angle and have a confrontation between the two and it gets an A-.</p><p> </p><p> So right now, I should have at least B+ heat, right? However, it is at C-. Is it because I had Rock lose? I would've thought that Cody interfering and the Rock losing would be a great thing, but could that have backfired on me? Should I have had Rock still be triumphant?</p><p> </p><p> Could I also have lost some heat because Cody's partner, Rusev, got pinned in a tag match and I have them as Unit instead of Individual? So they both take a ding for that.</p><p> </p><p> Again, examples, but things I've done recently. Why real life instead of like the CornellVerse? Because I can't really recall names from the federation I used, SWF. I stick to Japan, but felt like playing a storyline fed again.</p>
  2. Have you tried utilizing your calm the crowd, all outs, etc. IF you don't let a crowd cool down, they might become exhausted. Calming the crowd is not making a match boring, but giving them a match that keeps them from doing what happened at like SummerSlam after AJ vs Cena. How about an actual pure wrestling title? Like literally call it Pure Wrestling Championship.
  3. Thanks for the assistance Jaysin. Guess I'll go message Adam then. Thanks.
  4. <p>Oh, GTTG is Gift To The Gods. My single Japanese created federation I'm building that's an add on to the CornellVerse. I thought it would be fun to share my work with everyone.</p><p> </p><p> Any new characters I've been making strictly for federation will be using random pictures from the free area. I'll also be borrowing and updating regular free agents to fill up some of the roster as well.</p><p> </p><p> Since you say a single federation isn't qualified for a mod, would introducing a federation for each area be a good idea then? I could perhaps do that. After all, I'm already working on GTTG.</p>
  5. Can you call a single additional federation a mod? I've been thinking of doing a public release of GTTG, but wasn't sure if that qualifies as a mod or not. When I am finished. Not quite there yet.
  6. I'd think Glory To The Gods Wrestling would be pretty good myself.
  7. Well this is new! I, as Fantasm, just got signed for a one day match against WWAJ's Eagle Kawasawa to defend the World Wrestling Alliance's World Title. I managed to retain, but honestly I didn't know you had put in a feature like this Adam! Totally cool! I put a screenshot of it in the screenshot thread.
  8. This is such a cool thing! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v489/Kageho/Capture_zpsax2qn1iw.jpg So totally cool.
  9. Can anyone explain why Tanosuke Joshuyo takes over the World Wrestling Alliance Japan, yet still is contract to Exodus? I find it confusing that this has happened now twice. I would think that Joshuyo would drop any other gigs seeing as he's now the CEO.
  10. Since it is a stable made up of foreigners, you could go with something gaijin? Like Gaijin Club (lame, I know), Gaijin Invasion (somehow sort rhymes) or even something nutty. Like Pacific Coast Rush or Raiders of the Sacred Land for example. There's lots you can do with it. Here's some names I gave a few of my teams in yet another play through of the 2 months we're currently granted. Glorious Gloria and Monster Ishimura - Glorious Monsters Jack Jackson (Jack Avatar) and K.P. Fungston (K.P. Avatar) - Shining Examples El Hijo Del Neutron and El Mitico Jr - Sweet Sensations Elsa Cavo and Ursula Saez - Tough Love Electric Dreamer and Velvet Saurez - Velvet Dream For stables, I put Haley Buck as the manager of Glorious Monsters and Deborah Young to form one. The Monsters of Mayhem (M.O.M.) is actually trying to hold off Shane Sneer's Sneer Corporation of Austin Smooth (heh), Seth Whitehead and Sterling Whitlock (Whitehead & Whitlock sounds like a lawfirm). So there's a few things you can borrow for names. Enjoy.
  11. Well, I tried doing a territorial alliance using the World Wrestling Alliance brand. With my two months in the book, here's my take aways from it. 1) Continually upsetting people with their pushes, as they never seem to be on the right push. Though, they usually complain just after the show ends. 2) Screwed over all the other territorial alliances by having my user character, Fantasm, win the World Championship. Wasn't intentional, as I put all the best characters I had for my first show (Ash Campbell, Donnie J and Fro Sure) in with him. Didn't set anyone to win any of the belts on the entire show. I figured if I tossed him in, it would be a great match. Totally forgot he could end up with it. 3) I'll admit to cheating a TV deal for coverage for all the US, but I wasn't the first one to try getting it. My shows are on Monday, so I skipped the first day (which is Monday) and then did it, so anyone else could've gotten it. It isn't a good channel mind you, but it at least is helping me expand my popularity slowly. It is a Free-To-Air, so I make no actual money from it. 4) Not sure what to do concerning my momentum as it is slowing down, just dropped from C to a D. WWA Canada and Mexico improved to C+. In fact out of all the WWAs, my momentum is the worst. I'm not very good at this keeping momentum thing. 5) I won 2 battles in January at Regional, but lost them all in February. Not completely lost them, but I've been hurting enough that I really am wondering if perhaps it is because of my stories I'm running. Maybe I should cut back from the 12 or so I'm currently running. Maybe stick with 6. 6) I realized in the last week of play that I could do a figurehead. Whoops. Fantasm for Figurehead, simply because I have no better! 7) SWF and TCW are neck & neck in the National game. USPW is now Cult, but in 1st place still. Huh? Popularity ain't important? Okay, that's new! 8) I know I gave the Japan branch to fight over two titles, but they literally went out and got two full rosters and have 67 total guys/gals. WTF?! Nothing really big happened in this 2 month run.
  12. Dan Stone just died in Wednesday Week 2 of January during my attempted World Wrestling Alliance run. Poor guy didn't even get that much of a retirement or get to see how his son did.
  13. I've tried a few different ways to keep the starting storylines working, but each and every time, I can only keep one storyline above B, meaning penalties galore for what happens. You usually need to scrap the starting storylines or modify them into something else to get them to stay at B or better. However, if you continue to produce quality stuff, you'll still manage to keep yourself ahead of USPW and TCW. I'd recommend nabbing Austin Smooth (developmental), El Mitico Jr., bringing up Ekuma and Spade, and perhaps starting a women's division (instead of doing my insane idea).
  14. SWF is such a nice smorgashborg of fun. Actually, no that's a swell idea to build them up. Thanks for it.
  15. Just creating a few characters that you can hire to your company at any time. Name: Diandra Bergeron Age: 21 (1 Year Pro) Gender: Female Size: Toned Lightweight Nationality and complexion: Canadian, Tanned Appearance/Comparison in real life: Red head with green eyes Style: Charismatic Entertainer Finisher: Andraplex (Pinfall) Company(ies) currently working for: Unemployed Bio (give a short backstory to the character): Only a year since completing her training, Andra's been working her craft. Her actual in-ring skills are nothing to write home about. However, it is her ability to make any move have flair, her mouth saying exactly what the crowd wants to hear and just that oomph of star power that make her a stand out. With the right amount of seasoning, she could become someone great. Could being the key term. _________ Name: Red Cap Assault Age: 23 (4 Year Pro) Gender: Male Size: Toned Lightweight Nationality and complexion: Christmas Snow Skinned Canadian Appearance/Comparison in real life: Wears a red toque and goggles to hide his blonde hair and blue eyes. Style: Luchadore Finisher: Tapping Cap (Impact) Company(ies) currently working for: N/A Bio (give a short backstory to the character): Beginning his journey just as soon as he reached 18, Richard Colin Anthony went out on a quest to become a good wrestler. While he's never taken off, due to his blond hair and blue eyes always making him seem like he should be bigger than what he is. Thankfully (he thinks), he came up with the idea of putting on an oversized toque to hide his locks and goggles to hide his eyes. With his new persona of Red Cap Assault, RCA hopes to find a job in the industry. _____________ And last one. Name: Don "Raging" Bonnar Age: 24 (3 Year Pro) Gender: Male Size: Muscular Light Heavyweight Nationality and complexion: Scottish (White) Appearance/Comparison in real life: Black haired, bearded strong man. Style: MMA Crossover Finisher: Kimura Company(ies) currently working for: N/A Bio (give a short backstory to the character): Unable to choose a life between his two loves, wrestling and MMA, "Raging" Bonnar decided to dip his toes into both. Meaning you've got a guy who not only does professional wrestling, but mixed martial arts too. While he does modify his wrestling style in the squared circle to be a bit more like how it should be, it is pretty much what you'd expect from someone doing MMA. Stiff strikes, chain wrestling and submissions. Oh, and he also keeps track of both records as his real record. So while he's 15-2 at the moment, his 2 losses are from his professional wrestling portion of his career. Not from mixed martial arts, where he's 5-0. All his wins have so far been by submission; Kimura no less. ______ There you go. Some guys to add to the thing!
  16. Whelp, making like my first post in lord knows how long! Loving what's happened in the CornellVerse. Tons of chaos, interesting developments and lots to play with. So much so, I've been actually editing out an entire scenario out in which SWF sees what USPW is doing with its women's division and I've made it that Eisen has decided the entire company from top to child promotion (RIPW is now SWF: Uprising) should be integrated. And yes, I'm actually playing a female character for this crazy idea of mine. Entertainer Diandra Bergeron from Canada. Because we Canadians are the greatest at invasions. Oh, I already found out the T&A levels had to drop to none so as to not always be penalized for an eye candy match. I'll only have Andra and Kate "Hell Cat" Mulligen (Kate Avatar) for the first while. Maybe add Laura Flame (should be fun) and Emma Bitch (failed drug test, I know). Rest of my females are going to be building up in developmental. So how would you guys book this? I was thinking if I went with a stable that would be fun with Emma as the lead, Andra as the enforcer, with Flame and Hell Cat as a tag team. However, if I did 4 storylines one for each of them, that gives 4 storylines, instead of just one. Especially since I don't really have an objective for the stable idea. What do you guys think? Also, sorry if this post is all over the place. I've been working on getting this all ready in the game.
  17. Been awhile since I last logged in, but seriously Reap, those CZCW titles are absolutely gorgeous. I know you say you do this as a side job, but I think you've got a hell of a talent for it.
  18. For the people having problems downloading Kam's thing from the site, if you get an error message in red, it means that there's just too many people accessing their (the host) stuff, so try again later. I finally got it to work myself after waiting seven years a day to get it to work.
