We're not psychic. We also don't know exactly when anything advertised is going to happen to tune in at that specific moment, for a rating to actually mean anything whatsoever. Tell ya what. Post here exactly when every Bryan segment is for the next RAW. It's exact starting moment. <p>I honestly believe you can not judge a segment based on ratings.</p><p> </p><p> We can not predict what is going to happen when, to tune in at the right time. It's like all the people who say "Only watch ...'s segments and matches! That'll show em!"</p>

That would be the previous RAW. Previous to 1/20. Thus, why people would be watching for the follow up.

Let's not pretend like the ending to the previous RAW had absolutely nothing to do with the ratings for the first hour, either. I mean it was only one of the most crowd exciting moments in recent memory.

I don't remember people kicking up a stink about those guys. Of course I'll concede that Batista getting thrust into the title scene right away was unnecessary in light of his extended contract. They should have made him earn his place at the top. It's not ideal booking but I feel sorry for the guy for all the abuse he's getting. WWE overestimated Batista's popularity and he's paying for it. If Orton went over Batista at WM30 would that help or do people really dislike Batista so much they don't want him to main event again?<p> </p><p> As for Punk leaving. I don't mind if he has time off but if he's retiring then the least he could do for his fans is have a blow-off match (against HHH or whoever) and make a professional exit.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> RVD and Jericho are far more fan favorite, don't botch their ENTRANCE every time, and didn't come back and STRAIGHT into the main event of WrestleMania.</p><p> </p><p> Brock Lesnar is BROCK LESNAR~!, and The Rock is The Rock. Trying to compare Batista to either man is a joke at best.</p><p> </p><p> What makes me mad about this is it ISN'T even for storyline purposes. At all. They want Batista to have the belt when he's making appearance for the GotG hype. That's the ONLY reason he's winning the belt. It has NOTHING to do with wrestling at all. That's my problem.</p>

And complete lack of shock crosses my face at seeing Batista be a jacked up, Rock Wannabe, Cry baby. This is your next World champion. He's Saggy! He's Covered In Tats! He Can't Time His Entrance! NOBODY In Any Seat Wants Him In That Ring! Batista!

However Cena vs. Bryan at Summerslam was down TWENTY percent from the year before. Night of Champions was down from the year before which was Orton vs. Bryan for the title before anyone had any idea that Bryan wasn't going to get his title victory at some point. TV ratings the entire month of September the month after Summerslam never hit the 3's even when June and July alone had four or five weeks hit the 3's. </p><p> </p><p> If you honestly believe Bryan feuding with John Cena, Randy Orton and the McMahon's for two straight months did worse business than before Bryan's push but somehow believe that Batista vs. Bryan would and should main event the WWE's biggest show ever then you're the kind of fan they want. </p><p> </p><p> There is not a single number out there that proves Bryan is a financial draw in anyway for the company. All the pay per views he main evented were down from the year before while the two previous pay per views before his push where up. He has some excuses for the later pay per view but for Summerslam his big title match and Night of Champions the start of his Orton feud there is no excuse why if he was so red hot there isn't a massive increase in buys or even television ratings.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Why pay to watch what you already know is going to happen? Everyone knew even if Bryan won he'd get screwed. I remember sitting in Las Vegas at a blackjack table with a group of people from the pool league holding it's main tournament there that weekend. Talk wound up on Bryan, and nobody there was sad to be stuck in Vegas unable to watch because "It's not like they won't screw it up somehow."</p><p> </p><p> People don't spend 60 bucks to get crapped on by a company.</p>

I won't pay, but I will watch, and I will laugh when the ENTIRE match is a repeat of Orton/Sheamus. Not that it'll make any difference, they're far more concerned with a piss poor actor carrying a belt to interviews than they are their fans. That'll draw in new fans! Showing them you already don't give two craps about your current fans. Great first impression.</p>

The fans show them night after night, and the WWE is too oblivious to realize anything.</p><p> </p><p> Even if Batista does good, and Taker has an amazing Mania match, and Brock does wonders, and Trips/Punk is a 155758756 star match. I have no interest in ever giving my money to a company who's too f'n stupid to do good business and write stories that don't blow up in their face. They honestly believed what happened tonight wouldn't happen. A company that stupid deserves to go bankrupt.</p>
