TCW managed to keep the big surprise under wraps until the last moment, so kudos to them for a debut well done. BACKSTAGE Mighty Allen's debut was received very well backstage in TCW's locker room. <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">TCW PRESENTS TOTAL WRESTLING Tomorrow's TCW show – which will be held at the Louisiana Auditorium – will include the following matches: Benny & The Foxx vs Jay Chord Devine Fortune vs The Hybrid Two One Man Army vs Maverick Edd Stone vs Troy Tornado Aaron Andrews vs Eddie Chandler BONUS: What will Primus Allen's new name be? As always, let us know in the comments who you think will win.

 2. I misspoke, I meant that it's actually the other way arond. Great top row skills but super low basics. Like 80 technique, 3 basics... and not only a few but many gens.
 3. I think you *could* have it run on multiple devices if you use a virtual machine

Good job nonetheless, everyone! Funny how the only unanimous pick turned out to be wrong. Youngman is definitely on my shortlist to get a push, but the popularity difference to T-Bone was too big to warrant a win. I really enjoyed your guesses for this week's debut! Special shoutout to lieon02, who was probably on the right track, and expecting Davids to team up with Mo. <div style="display: inline-block; padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #ffd700; width:25%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">LAST SHOW Hitman74 3/6 Munit 3/6 RingRider 3/6 lieon02 2/6 Zergon 2/6 MisterRomanini 2/6 123Kidd 2/6 Herrbear 1/6
<div style="display: inline-block; padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #ffd700; width:25%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">MONTHLY LEADERS Hitman74 3/6 Munit 3/6 RingRider 3/6 lieon02 2/6 Zergon 2/6 MisterRomanini 2/6 123Kidd 2/6 Herrbear 1/6
<div style="display: inline-block; padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #ffd700; width:25%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">PAST WINNERS JANUARY: lieon02

Hawkins: Cut my music! What the hell happened last Sunday? Andrews, you couldn't beat me last Sunday. You got saved by the bell. But it's time to rewind the clock. What do you say, Aaron? You, me, right here, right now? The crowd erupts at the idea of a title match coming up next. When, seconds later, Andrews' music hits, the crowd goes really bonkers. The Ace appears on the ramp, holding his title high up in the air and basking in the ovation. Then he makes the walk and enters the ring. Andrews: You are wrong, Wolf, if you think the bell saved me from losing my title. It actually saved you from being humiliated after all the big talk and bold promises. But you are right, the way it went down warrants a rematch, and I'm more than happy to give it to you. Hawkins' eyes light up, but just as he's about to lose his suit, Joshua Taylor's music hits. Taylor rushes through the curtains and onto the ramp. Taylor: Hold on a minute. I became the number one contender last Sunday, and I'm not willing to sit on my ass while you guys play matchmakers. I'm next in line! The three men look at each other suspicious, wondering who will make the next move. Before anyone can say another word, the PA comes back to life. It's the commissioner, Ricky Dale Johnson, making his way onto the ramp! RDJ: Well, well, well, looks like we find each other in a little predicament. You are right, Wolf, you didn't lose last Sunday – but you also failed to win. At the start of the year, we announced that all matches would have a thirty minute time limit, so you've only got yourself to blame for not capitalizing on your shot. Taylor is the rightful number one contender, as has been clearly announced last week, so it looks like you are out of luck… Hawkins: This is complete bullcrap. I've been the number one contender since King of Kings, and I haven't been pinned or submitted since. You can't take this from me. RDJ: Sure I can, Wolf. I'm the new sheriff in town. Tell you what, though. If you and one of your lackeys, I presume it'll be Doc, manage to beat the team of Andrews and Taylor tonight, the next title match will become a three way. So you better get your ass backstage and make sure that you'll be prepared for later on. 94
<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> Dave Newton, Austin Lane and Roderick Remus vs The Syndicate (The Elite and Chris Flynn) After a short commercial, we are back with our first match of the evening. It's the team of Newton, Laine and Remus going head to head with The Elite and Chris Flynn from The Syndicate. Looks like it'll indeed be Doc Hammond teaming with Hawkins later on. The match starts decently enough, but soon the underhanded tactics of the Syndicate take the wind out of the sails of their opponent, as they break apart they're opponents one by one. In the end, it is Eddie Chandler who submits Dave Newton to end the match. Winner: The Syndicate via submission in 13:23 with Chandler submitting Newton for the win 56
<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> BACH HAS STRUCK A CHORD We go backstage where Bach is in good spirits. Bach: Jay Chord, you thought you'd be able to make your name off of me. But last Sunday I showed you that you have much yet to learn. You can doubt my heart and my skills all day long, but the Bach movement is far from over. My fans and I will keep on rockin' and we'll continue to refuse to bow to anyone. 97
<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #FFD700; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> Human Arsenal vs Greg Gauge © for the TCW Television title It's time for the second night of the evening, as Greg Gauge will defend the TCW Television title against Human Arsenal. Gauge comes off his win against Benny Benson, and he'll be looking to defend his belt for the eleventh time, which would be a new record. The match is pretty open, with both men getting in plenty of offense. After a while, Gauge gets stronger and stronger, and he is able to put Human Arsenal in the Proton Lock for the win. Winner: Greg Gauge via submission in 17:50 77
<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> ONE MAN ARMY WANTS A WAR With Gauge still in the ring, One Man Army appears on the big screen. OMA: Greg Gauge. You've been fighting your way through TCW's midcard. Good on you! How about you prepare for a real battle? I'm dying for some violence. Gauge seems to be up for the offer. 68
<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> T-Bone Bright vs Ernest Youngman Our next match sees T-Bone Bright go one on one with Ernest Youngman, who has made quite the impression in his debut. In a fun and fast-paced match, Youngman looks like a real star as he manages to push T-Bone Bright to his limits. In the end, Bright is too much too early for Youngman, who gets pinned by his more powerful opponent, Winner: T-Bone Bright via pinfall in 10:04 69
<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> FORTUNE DOES NOT SMILE UPON THE DEVINE We go backstage again where Darryl Davine and Chance Fortune are in a heated debate. The mic isn't able to fully pick up the conversation, but it seems like their string of bad luck has driven a wedge between the two friends. 50
<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> Mighty Mo vs Titan It's time for our co-main event, as Mighty Mo from Mighty Meaty goes one on one against Titan from The Behemoths. Mighty Mo is looking to get revenge for his team's defeat at Malice in Wonderland, which also saw Tana picking up a small injury at the hands of Eddie Peak. It'll be interesting to see whether there will be any outside interference, especially with Tana out of action for the evening. Mighty Mo comes out swinging. He looks really dominant in the early stages of the match, and he has Titan reeling. With Mo looking strong, and Titan on the brink of defeat, we have Killer Shark interfering out of nowhere, pummeling Mo on the outside while Titan is distracting the referee. Shark rolls Mo back in the ring, where Titan is able to hold his shoulders down for the pin. Winner: Titan via pinfall in 13:40 63
<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #FFD700; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> MIGHTY TROUBLE FOR THE SINNERS After the match, Shark enters the ring, as the Behemoths are not done with their foe. They start teeing off on Mo when, suddenly, the lights go out… When the lights come back on, the man formerly known as Primus Allen is standing in the middle of the ring. He is fired up and lays out his opponents with two brutal powerslams. Mo gets back to his feet, and the two men are standing tall. 67
<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> Aaron Andrews and Joshua Taylor vs Wolf Hawkins and Doc Hammond It's time for our main event. The current World title holder Aaron Andrews, and the number one contender Joshua Taylor will battle Wolf Hawkins and Doc Hammond. Hawkins and Hammond are a very well oiled machine, of course, having been close allies for more than a year. Andews and Taylor are an unlikely duo, having been bitter rivals throughout the last year, but their mutual interest of having one less man to worry about in their upcoming match for the title makes them an effective pairing. The match is everything one could have hoped for, with the four competitors pulling out all the stops. In the end, Andrews manages to pin Hammond for the win. Hawkins is a split second too late to make the save. Andrews and Taylor eye up each other, as they will have to battle pretty soon, while Hawkins is furious at losing out on his rematch. Winner: Aaron Andrews and Joshua Taylor via pinfall in 18:07 with Andrews pinning Hammond for the win 79
SHOW RATING 83

 6. I'm a firm believer in working with what you have. There are great things you can do with almost anyone in TCW (maybe with the exception of Courtney). Make Tana Mo's manager, give Devine a singles push, team up Arsenal and Army, or have them passing the torch to younger guys... I feel like it makes it so much more challenging than just signing up everyone that is already established.

 8. It's hard to debate stuff like this with mods, as there is no way to know what the mods settings/defaults/etc are. I can confidently say that it's way too easy for almost all possible cornellverse scenarios, though

It definitely should be now, though, as the game world is bound to become really weird and nonsensical with all those freaky sideshow wrestlers

It's just a few checks that you'd have to add. No high charisma without SQ and vice versa, no top row skills much better than basics and so on.

 11. I agree completely. The business side of the game is way too easy.
 12. I've seen many similar examples. It's too bad, because now that we do not have any preset future workers the game world will eventually be filled by these oddities.
 13. I noticed that dojo graduates (very!) often have great performance skills (charisma, mic skills, acting), but super low star quality. While not impossible per se, I'd argue that most entertaining workers also have decent star quality. There are some other areas that need some tweaking: - graduates sometimes have super high "top row" skills but almost non-existent basics - worker size does not seem to be too predictive of skill set, I've had a few puroresu masters pop up with a size of lightweight or smaller (not impossible of course, just notable) - some graduates have weird physical attributes, like super high athleticism, but very low stamina

He didn't make it home after Malice in Wonderland, of course, as he and Kyle took a plane straight from Kansas to Baltimore to meet up with Sam. They insisted that they would make the trip for their first monthly meeting as a sign of gratitude for Sam's help in making sure that TCW was still the company they all cared about so deeply. Plus, they were heading for New Jersey anyway, as Tuesday's show was scheduled to be held in the Evanovich Riverside in Trenton, and the trip from Baltimore was only a two hour car ride.

Last night's PPV was a huge success, but the reaction from fans online had been somewhat mixed. Time limits hadn't been a thing in TCW for ages, and when RDJ made the decision to bring them back, he knew that there was bound to be controversy the first time they made use of them. It was his idea to do it on the biggest stage, of course, if only to hammer home the point that his arrival meant a return to smarter booking, with clearly defined rules and without overbooked finishes. But it was always bound to be an uphill battle as SWF and USPW had essentially killed off the idea of wrestling as a serious sport.

RDJ wasn't the biggest morning person, and after a draining show and a subsequent flight that had him up until 4AM, he didn't manage to leave the hotel until he was late for his meeting. When he entered the office, which was basically just a large storage room next to Stanley Hall, Kyle and Sam were already chit chatting over coffee.

Sam: Ricky! Come in. Make yourself comfortable. You want some coffee?

RDJ: Thanks, and sorry for being late.

Sam: No worries, Ricky, we haven't started yet.

Sam hands RDJ a cup of coffee as he is sitting down.

Sam: What a show! You were really meant for this gig, Ricky.

Kyle: Ratings have been great all around, it looks like we really struck gold with this show.

RDJ: Well, Kyle's as much responsible for our booking as I am. He just needed someone to get his mind off all the administrative work that he had been tangled up while he was all by himself. Isn't that right, Kyle?

Kyle: I actually agree with Sam, Ricky. There's no one with a better wrestling mind than you. Well… except Sam, of course. Congratulations on this year's Rip Chord Invitational, by the way, it was a great show.

Sam: Enough with the pleasantries. You're here to discuss TCW's booking plans, aren't you? Why don't you start us off, Kyle?

Kyle: Well, I gotta say that I'm really happy with how things have turned around in the span of a month. The booking is definitely much improved, and, for the first time in a while, we have some really hot storylines. Ricky's rekindled love for traditional wrestling really shows, but it's a perfect fit.

Sam: I noticed that. Ricky, weren't you always a proponent of including more "sports entertainment" elements in TCW's product?

RDJ: I've always been a proponent of using strong angles and storylines to sell the in-ring product, but I was never a fan of the stuff SWF and USPW put out. I have to say, though, that I spent a lot of time watching tapes from the golden days since I hung up my boots. They've given me a lot of inspiration for how to run a wrestling promotion.

Sam nods approvingly.

Kyle: I really think we are on the right track. And I'm very confident that we'll be able to improve upon what we've accomplished so far.

RDJ: I'm sure our big surprise will help with that.

Sam: I've heard some things. Care to elaborate?

RDJ: We can't tell you yet. We are still finalising the last details. But I'm pretty sure that Tuesday's show will have the wrestling world talking. It's a big debut, and it ties in nicely with our plans for Total Mayhem.

Sam: I'm intrigued!

Kyle: Anyway, I'd really like to hear your input, Sam. You've mentioned that you have a couple things that are bothering you.

Sam: First of all, let me say that I think you've done very well. Putting Huggins and Hocking together was a smart move, and the new kids seem to be stars in the making. I'm especially happy that you listened to my recommendation and signed Youngman. I had him on my radar for a while, and he seems to be destined for great things. As for my worries. You know about the TV title, but I guess that's non negotiable. I'm more concerned about Battleground, though. I watched the event last year and it was horrible. For starters, your roster is too small to run a PPV with only 4v4 matches. It also interferes with storylines. Last but not least, it makes the Total Mayhem match obsolete. The fact that it's been years since the match was used makes me sad...

RDJ: Let me stop you right there, Sam. We already talked about it, and I must say that we both agree. We are currently discussing what to do with the schedule, but I'm pretty sure that Battleground will be gone come March. We are also committed to bringing the Total Mayhem match back.

Sam: That's great, Ricky. I'm glad to see that we have the same vision for TCW...

 16. One of the features I love most about TEW2020 is the addition of independent shows. However, most unemployed wrestlers still only wrestle a handful of times each year, so I'd like the frequency of independent shows to be raised.

RDJ's arrival has reignited a fire in TCW, who have been consistently overperforming throughout January. USPW and SWF were both a bit hit and miss, with some great shows, but also some that were underwhelming. The overall wrestling landscape looks pretty good, with the wrestling industry being pretty strong, albeit with signs of getting weaker. The economy is pretty average, with signs that there might be a recession pretty soon. A high school standout in wrestling, football and basketball, it was pretty clear from a young age that he'd end up being a professional athlete. In the end, it was his love for pro wrestling that led him to tryout for the School of Pro Wrestling, despite the fact he was offered an athletic scholarship to play football in college. His superb athleticism, as well as his amateur wrestling training, made sure that he was signed on the spot. It soon became clear that he was not only a gifted athlete, but also possesses what people in the industry like to call the "it" factor. Accordingly, expectations in TCW were very high when he graduated, and he was immediately signed to an exclusive contract. Mo is one of the most upbeat persons you'll ever meet, and it is almost impossible to find anyone in TCW who has anything negative to say about him. His favorite wrestler growing up was Bryan Vessey, and he likes to joke that it was Vessey's tag team with his brother Larry that led to him tagging with Tana The Mighty, as he was "looking for his Larry" when he was still green, and trying to get his footing in TCW. It is much more probable, though, that it was their personalities that led them to team up, as their real life chemistry is undeniable – they are by far the most fun duo to hang around with backstage. One little known fact about Mo is that his ring name is actually closely related to his upbringing. Mo was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, just a few miles South from where the Missouri river, also known as the "Mighty Mo", enters the Mississippi. After a few years of mixed success, Mo has really found his footing in TCW. His surprisingly agile and flashy style of wrestling have made him a big fan favorite, and – now in his thirties – big things are bound to happen very, very soon for Mighty Mo.
MONTHLY AWARDS <div style="display: inline-block; padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #ffd700; width:25%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">SHOW OF THE MONTH USPW Stars, Stripes And Slams!
<div style="display: inline-block; padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #ffd700; width:25%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">MATCH OF THE MONTH Remo & Rogue defeated The Awesomeness SWF When Hell Freezes Over
<div style="display: inline-block; padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #ffd700; width:25%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">STORY OF THE MONTH RDJ Returns

 18. But, as has been pointed out, longer matches are not rated higher at all, they just have a higher cap (which you usually will not run into, except maybe if you use a database with highly inflated stats). Which makes complete sense, as regular TV matches are usually shorter, and are not 'spectacles', even though they can still be great fun.
