  1. Somewhat related. Does anyone know whether it's a bug that almost nobody seems to have a very high popularity cap (going by NBT/hot prospects)?
  2. A few more reasons why finances are WAY too easy: iPPV / Broadcasting: http://greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=546481 Wage demands: http://greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=546735 No need to pay travel: http://greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=546699
  3. The only "big" company on that list is NJPW though, and their workers are usually at least barred from appearing for other Japanese companies.
  4. Just a small QOL thing, but it'd be great if contract offers would default to PPA or Exclusive Written deals, depending on company size. I don't think that non-exclusive written deals are very common for big companies, and I don't assume that many people would want to sign worker to such deals.
  5. This (posted by Slim Jim in the beta feedback thread) would be a good alternative:
  6. why? We live in a world where backstage interviews with Dana White, Vince McMahon or Tony Khan have more eyeballs on them than pretty much all the ones with actual talent. Also, the signing of JR by AEW is a good example of how a commentator can legitimately sway public perception of a company (irrespective of age or skill).
  7. You can filter out everyone who isn't a wrestler with one click... Just filter by perception AND status and/or role
  8. I very much agree with this, and, while it won't stop me from buying TEW2020, I surely hope that more realistic booking will (finally) be a priority for the next iteration of the game. I realize that it will be a lot of work to add checks for stuff like "is this angle something new or has this been booked already?", but I'm sure it's feasible if made a priority. I also think that product effects on match and angle lengths could be included without any hard caps. Just make the skill requirements higher or lower. If the product dictates that the promotion is run almost like a telenovela, anyone with decent mic skills can be in a 20min angle; if fans expect a fast paced products with short segments, you'd need to be a very gifted talker to keep their interest (but, like has been said, IF you do, there should be no penalty at all).
  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="TOTKingNothing" data-cite="TOTKingNothing" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47578" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Road agents and other non-wrestling roles are rated on their skills, not their popularity, so you have to pay top dollar to secure the top agents. You can't cheat out 7k a month for an amazing road agent just because he has 0 pop anymore.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'd still assume that IRL John Cena is payed MUCH more than William Regal.</p>
  10. One of the main advantages is that one click (on the arrows) would lead to all the other skills, instead of having to click loads of time to move the list one line at a time.
  11. I thought quite a bit on how to improve the roster screen in the game without having to change any of the current programming decisions and came up with the following: Basically, use two "tabs" to list all skills and move the attributes to where the "worker news" are now (maybe add "tabs" as well to switch to worker news). If possible, add separators in the list itself (like in TEW16 with "gimmick ratings"). I'd say that would be a big improvement without having to change anything fundamental. Also, make the font bigger(!!). (I realize that the "Out of Ring Skills", which would be on the second tab, are much more important for Robert Oxford nowadays ;-))
  12. This is the one thing that still bugs me like hell. How is it that, with all the additional screen space, the most important numbers in the game are barely visible? I've come to love many of the new features and find the game superior to TEW16, but this is really taking away from my enjoyment. Thank you for the nice overview :-)
  13. To elaborate on this. Dean Daniels, who is basically being groomed to become a road agent wants 58'000 for his next contract, even though he has 35 pop across the board. That would be one of the top 5 contracts in TCW. Same in SWF, where Enforcer Roberts wants to get paid 72'000 (and, in my game playing as BHOTWG, is not renewed because of it [i assume])
  14. Anyone else notice the sky-high salary demands of most road agents? They are paid better than pretty much the entire roster of active workers. Feels a bit off.
  15. Don't know if feasible, but I would prefer the same color codes as with TEW16. But I guess that's a VB limitation
  16. I'm pretty sure he meant cost to watch not cost to produce ;-)
  17. I don't get the new buttons. On the roster screen, all the lines under "status" except momentum can be clicked, but only the first three got a button. Why's that? Otherwise, exceptional work, your skin is worth 10 bucks out of the 35 at least :-P
  18. <p>I think the easiest fix would be to include trios as regular tag teams, or rather, make it possible to having a tag team consist of three members, maybe with a check box whether they always wrestle in threes or whether two out of three members would be considered as being that team as well (SCU in real life would be such a case)</p><p> </p><p> edit: forgot to mention that this would also solve the issue of whether to add small groups like Jurassic Express, SCU, Best Friends as Tag Teams or Stables.</p>
  19. WMMA isn't half as bad though. There is a maximum of 10 matches (segments) on the main card and 10 segments on the pre show. And the arrows are bigger, so it's much less of a hassle
  20. agreed, it's 10 saved user talent point (or rather 20, leadership AND diplomacy), as no matter how strict the backstage rules and how low the leadership, locker rooms are always at 100%.
  21. <p>I'm in the process of creating roster overview spreadsheets for some (all?) promotions in the game. Maybe others are interested in them as well. They don't work with mdb-files, it's really just a very generic overview over the rosters, but it helps me A LOT while booking.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Capture.png" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/2821Fh2/Capture.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Link: <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SOsCnF-uRPuwFPTEGq1UiqDRTZl3-t6YkJgJt_xFIwU/edit?usp=sharing" rel="external nofollow">https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SOsCnF-uRPuwFPTEGq1UiqDRTZl3-t6YkJgJt_xFIwU/edit?usp=sharing</a></p><p> </p><p> Done: TCW, CWA, BHOTWG, MAW</p><p> </p><p> Edits: Completed MAW</p>
  22. I think the problem is that, with the new list items, it cannot be realistically done the old way. Right now, clicking a segment opens that booking, rather than selecting that line, so 'general' arrows wouldn't work. The arrows need to be on that specific line. However, if I'm correct I'd rather switch to the old way anyway. Booking really is SO slow now and trying to click the right arrows is really a chore. I guess that I realistically lose serveral minutes each show just trying to rearrange segments...
  23. Brilliant! Could you create logos for the two new TCW PPVs as well?
  24. You can click the arrows next to the "popularity" box on the worker screen to switsch to their contract. But I agree that it's not very obvious, and not the best design decision...
