Preparations for the Rip Chord Invitational Challenge are going well. We should be able to announce the list of participants this time next week. TCW has upgraded its training facilities. It is said that their facilities are now equal to SWF's Supreme Wrestling University. SIGNINGS MAW has brought in the following workers for its yearly Rip Chord Invitational Challenge: From CZCW: Frankie Perez ¦ From IPW: Hugh de Aske ¦ From NYCW: Tennessee William ¦ From OLLIE: Marcos Flores TCW has brought in Jez McArthuer as a referee. BACKSTAGE Backstage morale in TCW is said to be very good at the moment. RDJ's arrival has been singled out as the reason, as he's still very popular and highly respected among the active roster. It looks like many within TCW have a newfound eagerness to put in their best performances. Ernest Youngman will debut tomorrow evening for TCW. He'll be bringing along his valet from the independents, Venus Angeletti. Many in TCW are of the opinion that Austin Laine will be a star in the future. His debut performance has been very well received backstage. <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">TCW PRESENTS TOTAL WRESTLING Tomorrow's TCW show – which will be held at the V. 2. Also, assuming rearraning of segments will still not work a couple patches from now, it'd be great if you could bind the number keys to the small arrows in the booking screen. As every segment can be rearranged by only using the "move up" arrows, and there are only 10 number keys, I'd focus on them. 1: Move the second segment from the top to the top 2: third -> second 3: fourth -> third and so on It still wouldn't be optimal, as, to move a segment from bottom to top, you'd have to press e.g. 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 to "follow" the segment, but it'd still be a MAJOR improvement
  3. To add to this (not sure who the original artists are): Tyrone Gray ¦ Ade Nelson ¦ Guillotine ¦ Copperhead
  4. is it possible to add some more shortcuts for the most used office screens? I'm thinking: R: Roster C: Creative T: Teams or Titles S: Storylines E: Events & TV F: Finance H: Show History
  5. While it does seem peculiar that the feature has been revamped this drastically, I will hold judgment until I've played around with it. I could very well see the new figures being reasonable, as finances have been WAY too easy. And Enormous iPPV will probably net you enormous amounts of cash, so it's reasonable to assume that it should cost hundreds of millions of dollars, given that making money is still very easy overall.
  6. Yeah, the use of the word "complaints" wasn't meant in the sense that they weren't warranted. I have some improvements that I still hold out for as well, and it'd be great to get some clarifications on those often requested improvements like moving segments even if they don't make the cut. But let's be a little bit more patient :-)
  7. After seeing the patch notes for 1.02 I just want to say that I'm really appreciative of Adam relasing patches every single day, and also implementing some of the main complaints people seem(ed) to have. Having keyboard functionallity back for road agent notes, and toning down internet-based PPV revenue is MASSIVE. The game has improved dramatically the last few weeks, and everyone should acknowledge as much, no matter what complaints they may still have (rightfully or not). Adam is a superstar.

  15. The card for the next show should be out in a couple of hours
  16. Very much this. If everyone that does graphics for the game tells you the UI is bad practice, there's something there. I love the game, and I couldn't be more happy that Adam still makes these games, so I'm super appreciative of what has been produced (also appreciative of the graphics guy, who has done a fine job with the second UI), but the UX has been an issue some way or another for as long as there have been TEW's. Many of the changes would be looked at as objectively "wrong" in any UI/UX class in the world. No UI expert would ever say that the arrow placement on the booking screen is sensible. No UI expert would ever say that it's acceptable having to click a side bar to use the keyboard to scroll one line at a time, when the same could be achieved much faster with a mouse wheel. No UI expert would say that fiddly drop down boxes for attributes is a good idea. No UI expert would ever say it's okay to remove a basic feature like typing to chosing road agent notes. If you look at who's complaining, it's actually all the people with a background in graphics design. Maybe others don't care enough, or they feel like it's not an issue, but don't pretend it's good practice. Anyway, no more from me. I actually enjoy the heck out of TEW2020, so I'm off to continue my diary. :-)

As soon as the fans hear RDJ's entrance music, the whole arena erupts. RDJ makes his way to the ring while shaking hands left and right. He basks in the attention for several minutes before he starts speaking. RDJ: San Antonio! It's nice to be home! RDJ knows better than almost anyone how to control a crowd, but Today is even more special. Everyone in the arena can feel that RDJ is genuinely happy to be back in front of a crowd. RDJ: I've been retired for a few years now, and I have neither the will nor the means to lace my boots again. But I've been making friends backstage lately, and I have a big announcement to make. Just as he's about to make his announcement, The Syndicate's music hits and Wolf Hawkins makes his way to the ring. Jeers trail him as he slides between the ropes. What does he want? Hawkins: Ricky, Ricky, Ricky... What are you doing here? I never thought that I would see you again after I sent you packing two years ago. You should have stayed on that sorry excuse for a ranch where you belong. This is my house now. Before RDJ can even respond, Aaron Andrews' music hits. Aaron rushes through the curtains and motions for his music to be cut off. Andrews: How dare you, Wolf! This is RDJ's house, and you know it. And even if RDJ wasn't here - how you doin' my friend, by the way - you know that I'm the Ace around here. Hawkins: Look who the cat dragged in. Congratulations on your win last Sunday, Aaron, you seem to have found a new hobby in beating up wrestlers way past their prime. How about you schedule a date with The Syndicate? RDJ: Gentlemen! This is neither the time nor place for your bickering. As I was trying to say before you interrupted me, Wolf, I'm the new Sheriff in town! As of right now, I've become commissioner of TCW, which means that this is indeed my house, and you best tread carefully. Wolf Hawkins looks at RDJ with disbelief. Hawkins: This can't be true. I've ended your career. RDJ: So you did, Wolf. But I'm not here to fight you. Aaron will take care of that. But you better believe that I can make your life a living hell, if you try to mess with me. I'm the one in charge now. That being said: How about you put your money where your mouth is, Wolf? It seems that you need a dance partner for Malice in Wonderland, and I know just the guy. RDJ gestures at Aaron Andrews. RDJ: That's what you want Wolf, isn't it? 92</div> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";"> Human Arsenal vs Maverick With the crowd still buzzing, it's time for our first match of the night. Human Arsenal takes on Maverick, who's been on a good run lately. Mighty Mo and Tana The Mighty have been feuding with Eddie Peak's stable for a couple weeks now, and after many cheap shots from the heels, this is Mo's chance at retribution. Tana The Mighty is at ringside, making sure that Booth's friends won't show up. The match ends with Mo pinning Nick Booth. F. Huggins: Today is the beginning of a new era in TCW. For too long has this company been losing its luster. Everyone on this roster is getting older, fatter, and balder, but Matt and I have never been more ravishing. Hocking: It's the perfect fit. Nobody looks better than Freddy and I. Nobody flies higher than Freddy and I. Nobody has 'it' more than Freddy and I. L. Huggins: Oh it's true. The two have unmistakable chemistry, and it lifted the match considerably. After a lot of back and forth action and some great in ring work, Gauge pins Remus to retain his title. Gauge makes defense number nine of his title. Sammy Bach, who has been having problems with Chord lately, is our guest referee. Bach doesn't hold back on commentary, ripping into Chord with all his eloquence. In a match with good in ring action and good crowd heat, Chord pins One Man Army with a cradle piledriver. After the match, Jay Chord and Sammy Bach stare each other down. There seems to be a lot of bad blood. Winner: Jay Chord via pinfall in 21:45 73</div> SHOW RATING 74</div>
  18. The worst is the road agent notes screen. I used to add multiple notes in second (press d for decisive then press o for open and so on...), now it takes ages...
  19. I still enjoy the game a lot, btw :-) And I'm super appreciative for Adam's work during the last few weeks.
  20. I agree that the (perceived) unwillingness to change QOL things is something that is sometimes a bit puzzling. It's like the pop up in TEW16 that asks me if I want to go to the office because of a new email that's clearly visible from the starting page. There are a few things that change nothing fundamentally but have been requested by many, many people: - a way to rearrange segments without having to follow the small arrows next to segments - bigger numbers in match screens - scrollable lists (e.g. for road agent notes, where we still can't scroll or use the keyboard to get to the note we want) Small things, but very frustrating.
