The Japanese one is decidedly dark, but it's Tojo-gun (after the WW2 general). The character on the left is his signature. -

Might not mean anything to anyone else, but I thought some of these turned out pretty cool. -
The Official WWE / NXT Discussion Thread *May Contain Spoilers*
CQI13 replied to Adam Ryland's topic in The Dog Pound
I don't disagree, in theory. But I really think NXT fans are a vocal minority of WWE fans. Even on USA they never completed with Raw - despite fans complaining that Raw is too long and NXT at the time having a superior in-ring product. The ratings I can't disagree with - especially how they don't reflect streaming, delay streaming, binging, etc. I think we are a few years away from the Nielsen ratings going away, so for now, that's what they will continue to look at, unless a company publishes their 'most watched' and the industry cared about it. I think they see that the ratings are what they are, plus or minus the margin of error, so NXT 2.0 is more about advancing the vision than it is about beating AEW. Triple H should have never said anything about it in that HOF speech, but way too late for that. They see value in Mandy, and it could be a situation when her two stablemates are "ready" they wl get moved as a group - instead of Morgan/Riott/Logan showing up cold. If they go that route they can send someone else down after. And the one drawback to just wanting to stay in NXT is that if the philosophy changes you are surplus to requirements. All those folks will land somewhere, no doubt (most have). You do also have to weigh the pros and cons - stay in NXT or be Tozawa? I enjoy their weekend events - I can make time for those. But the rest of their stuff just gets lumped in with "I have more important things to do." Then again, when I was younger (their intended audience again) I was all about it. I still use Peacock for movies and EPL while they have that, so WWE is a bonus. But if EPL goes away I might too. -

WWIndie was when they moved to USA, even before their current iteration - the one with all the indie darlings. Enjoyable, but not to the masses. This needed to stay on the Network, but can understand the business decision (even if it is wrong in my opinion). They started off hot, and then dropped off. They have been hovering in that mid 600s range for a while, even after the switch. That's really the only metric for it. If they were going to put it on USA they should have done it like the debut on the Network (probably the best era, even if not the best wrestling) - cycle main roster guys for feuds with NXT guys. They are going back to that now, provided they send someone down since AJ is done with Waller. WWE fans aren't NXT fans. It's a really weird dynamic. -

WWIndie largely failed on TV - well before Vince and Prichard stuck their hand in. It's a niche product. Had it remained on the Network I don't think we would have seen the change. -
How long is Sags on hiatus for? Two thoughts off the top of my head: 1. Book Knobs as a singles wrestler. He was never great, but I am guessing something can still be done in 1998. From there you have two options - he tries to find his footing but is unable to (.500 or just below) without Sags, or he is quite successful without him. Under the first option, when Sags comes in they need to go on a tear, even if it is mediocre competition. Builds the story that he and Sags need each other to succeed. Under option B, what if Knobs was successful without Sags? Does he give up singles glory to go back to being a tag team? Maybe Knobs is fine going solo, but Sags is jealous. There is a sneak attack and of course Sags comes to the rescue. Was sags the one behind the attack? 2. Have Knobs find a third Nasty. Set them as a unit and as they rack up wins (Knobs getting the pin) you should see the new partner's popularity grow. Sags comes back. They can build a strong trio, with the younger Nasty becoming the focus (if you find someone you want to build and push), do they turn on him, or does he realize he should be the focus and turn on them?

I might benefit from just reading the results/reviews, but it didn't sound bad. I just don't have 3 hours a week to devote to it. -

What are the signs of decline to look out for? I know they will tell you when you sign them, but does it get mentioned in the Road Agent notes or somewhere else? -
AI Feds lack of size progress

You could periodically add a player to the fed in question, start the network, and then leave the game. Repeat as needed to scale up. -
No reason not to try. There have been posts about creating an AEW in the CVerse (but still leaving USPW, SWF, and TCW) where they discussed who would be the Omega/Bucks/Cody/Jericho. Basically who you would start the company with. I think the verdict was that with the 5 you had your main event for the foreseeable future.

Love Big E, but never could take him seriously as a champ with the hip gyrations and that whole schtick. I have, on the other hand, enjoyed Becky's return - God bless WWE's production department for piecing together the promos I get to listen to. I like Liv, even if she's nothing too special in the ring. It is pretty cool to see the crowd getting behind her like they have in the last few months (probably going back to the build up to MITB). Would have wanted for Sheamus to cheat to win, especially once it went 2 on 1, but whatever. It's on the pre-show so not sure how many people watched. -

Maybe it's because I don't watch their weekly PPVs on Mondays, but I really enjoyed Day 1. -
I feel Roger Ebert's review of The Usual Suspects applies to a lot of these pseudo intellectual movies, or those where the audience applies much more meaning than actually exists: To the degree that I do understand, I don't care." It was, however, somewhat reassuring at the end of the movie to discover that I had, after all, understood everything I was intended to understand. It was just that there was less to understand than the movie at first suggests.

How Do You Succeed In This Game

What is the product set as - match:angle ratio, is it more in ring or popularity? What is the show focus - main event, three ring circus, etc? What is the focus for angles - is it looking at just the best angle? Top 3? Are there any "Booking Issues" - one of the buttons at the bottom of the screen, on the top row - the one that shows you who is yet to be booked). -

Saw a mention of a Bron Breakker back on page 150 or so, but the pic is gone. Anyone have it to post again? -
Oh I get why it was done how it was done - same as why you usually see the person with clothes (or sleeves) take the fire. Still seemed unnecessary to me since it wasn't on a PPV and it's not going to make people cheer for Cody.
-
Everything I have seen of this flaming table spot has Cody taking the brunt if it. Seems the table was too close to the corner. Seems like an unnecessary risk.

What's Going on in Your Game?
CQI13 replied to franticloser's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 General Discussions
<p>I signed Suzanne Brazzle to my start up fed and she announces her retirement the day after I start negotiations. Most of my young heels are at or around her popularity so I am planning on using the storyline to build a young face. We'll see how it goes. I have a few ways I would like to see it work out. Hopefully I don't get hit with the bad chemistry penalty for what I want to do.</p><p> </p><p> One thing I noticed - all of my HW heels are in tags or stables, not so with the faces. After the first 3 tours I may thin out the roster.</p> -
So Kingston and Punk got a quick build to one match? And now they are off doing other things? If MJF doesn't go over Punk it's criminal.
