  1. That they could finally get a break? It seems the last editions is just watching them in turmoil. I hope this time this is the beginning of the foundation that will lead them to #1 again in the next iteration.
  2. SWF continues bad, Eric retired, DeBones retired, Bruce retired...(If only i could get those 2 to return, but nope) Scythe and Spade are finally on the main roster, the only good thing i've seen so far...Richard retired to avoid jail...AND SWF is still #2...Not what I expected at all...
  3. And yet this gets as much as 72%?? I'm seriously wondering how this could be the case.
  4. WCW definitely offered guaranteed money. Hence why several stayed home getting paid after the company folded. If it was any other deal, Time-Warner could simply have fired them and paid them a few months instead of having to pay the reminder of their contracts.
  5. I really enjoyed the new spring cleaning system and the fact that we now only need to pay 6 months when releasing a worker, as it is realistic and perfectly replicates today's contracts for most companies. However, the option to give out guaranteed deals should still also be available in a way that would also allow for the new game to help replicate historical eras, like the Monday Night Wars, or as an option to lure a worker even in more recent and/or different eras, as an incentive for the worker that, despite receiving less he would have the assurance of a guaranteed deal. Given that after searching on the journal I did not see any mention to that part of contracts still being possible, (if there was and I missed it, apologies for the mistake) I would suggest, in case it is in fact not possible in the current upcoming release, for it to be patched or at least added to any future iterations.
  6. Yeah, i am on that boat as well. All the indie "darlings" i booked 10, 15 years ago ended up having decent or even great runs in mainstream companies. I remember when the thought of that happening was considered delusion and would only happen on dynasties. Since then, WWE and 1 or 2 more companies have since poached everyone and the indie scene lacks that huge amount of talent it used to have. A shame.
  7. Original Australia wasteland seems to be the consensus for predictions. I'd say it would fit.
  8. Prediction: SWF Expectations: Back on #1!!! Reality: In a bigger turmoil and barely hanging to top 5.
  9. If it was a voting thing, i'd vote for this man. He gets it!
  10. I remember i continued a save in TEW 2005 that lasted 9 or 10 more years or so after the release of TEW 2007. So pretty much i played it either into TEW 2016 or very close to it. That was one of the few times where I did look back to previous games as things to be finished. Given that the interval has been 4 years, I am more than prepared to move along since day 1.
  11. I still think this comes mainly to product and presentation. If hyped correctly, any 2 great stars could have a good match regardless of disposition. This being related to the new product features seems great, imo. Obviously one is not gonna get A* in every same-disposition combo, especially with the lower card, but as far as big start and certain moments, yeah I think it is far more about the presentation and booking skills, so I think these new features might reflect it better.
  12. Reigns is still the figurehead. Drew just became champ. What they will do with him, I have no idea. But the whole figurehead being only one concept is indeed realistic and how it works irl. And you are spot on about the Batista/Cena thing. Cena was clearly THE guy, Batista was heading a brand, but definitely not the company.
  13. While not necessarily agreeing with all of your points, i always thought the whole gimmick things needed to be simplified, but also made more relevant at the same time. Assigning a gimmick sometimes feels like a chore, when you really want to have several people with distinctive different gimmicks. I thought the addition of attributes would change this, but it just seems, at least from what has been said so far, that it was simply made with more condensation. And I don't see this making our life easier, while providing for some fun, distinctive and relevant use of them.
  14. Now look at Bryan's heel work and see how he actually fits that criteria well. Though I do agree, there should be a bit more variety on gimmicks, especially to take advantage of some of the new stuff. This condensation makes it feel a bit more robotic, imo.
  15. I agree with 6 of those 7. Heck, GSP should even be inducted already, and BJ should already be inducted for sure. I respectfully disagree about Lesnar. While his career was not long, it was meaningful. He will eventually be inducted by UFC and will likely make other lists as well. I see no reason for him not to already be in one in the mod. I think you are spot on about the rest.
  16. I don't know if this would be possible with a patch, but it sure would help a lot if we could edit ongoing saves, as it would facilitate the removal of duplicates from some dbs.
  17. My bad, just reviewed the situation to be sure. They are set as TV Driven in the mod I am playing. Upon a closer look I noticed they do like 5 ppvs followed by 5 tv shows average. Not exactly a true to life setup, but still they do make TV and PPV, so it will be a matter of finding the right settings. Here is their current settings in the save in question:
  18. I checked my most recent save to see how the trend continues. They put 2 or 3 ppvs a month and occasionally follow that with a few tv shows. Obviously they are ppv driven, so that still makes more sense than what you have experienced. So the fact they are not doing any at all in your save might be their settings not being right.
  19. CM Punk beating Dan Severn by split decision. Yeah, that happened. Also, Severn later becoming SHW champ at 61.
  20. I mean, it's Austin and Rock. You know they would have a match of the year even if they were just arm wrestling. Those dudes would make almost anything work.
  21. The one where Goldberg did a couple of moves and it was over. Lesnar getting squashed by Goldberg was actually a great match. Quick, to the point, avoided weaknesses to rear their ugly heads, shock value for casual fans...pretty entertaining. Squash matches well executed like that in a ME are a good example and the shock value leads them to score well in reviews as well, if well executed. On the other hand, several matches nowadays are fast sprints (now going beyond Goldberg or Lesnar) full of spots, action and speed, that end quickly but are still entertaining. I think the booking would have to matter to turn it into a good match, as well as some other factors, which could probably be covered by bonuses and penalties rather than caps, as to avoid abuse, but still make a great short match be possible. Capping it seems to simply remove the option of occasionally nailing the way to book an epic main event moment, or a great short midcard match.
  22. 2 day shows are essentially 2 separated shows. But for the naming purposes it would be cool.
  23. Great addition, Adam. Kudos for finding the time to add something so relevant in what is pretty much the post production stage of the game. Look forward to trying this feature.
