These are great ideas, the way it's split in the slim jim one I think is perfect. You want it to be recognisable straight away what a workers strengths and weaknesses are so this is spot on.

Definitely feel free. Early 1998 would be in interesting time too. I assume Tyson would be in the mod and I think he's just about to turn up. Triple H's DX hasn't started yet. And Rock still in NoD.
I am so excited for Tag-Team speed dating. What the hell happened with Tombstone. The bloke is a monster, and he lost to LYNX! Travesty.Frogue once again looking like a Chump.Me too to be honest! I knew I wanted to do something as there's a few teams I want to/have split up so I need replacements. It was going to just happen naturally but I thought this way fits RAW more.
I knew Tombstone's booking wouldn't go down well with everyone, Lynx is actually as popular as him so it's not too weird, but yeah in my mind Tombstone is the bigger star. I wouldn't worry though he's moving on to other things.

Cool to see your developmental. I was going to sign Jack Pride too but when it came to finialising the deal I realised I offered him his monthly fee per show as a mistake so I had to decline meaning he won't talk to me for a while. It's strange that when you change a contract to written the game is clever enough to then change the fee you're offering to the monthly fee, but then it should also change the contract to per month not per show... but anyway here isn't the place!

Thank you! I think that's one of the fun things about RAW...
Normally when I'm booking, I'd be always focused on the PPV, yeah you might put some big matches on TV every so often, or even do it a lot. But you're always working towards the PPV. And in the grand scheme of things even the PPVs in some way are all working towards a big Wrestlemania style show.
But with none of that to think about, it forces me to make sure each show is good. I can't just think oh this is a throwaway week just to hype up the week after or anything like that. Now that's not to say that every single week I'll be able to actually provide a good show! That's another matter. But at least it won't be for a lack of trying!
Oh well the only way is up. In a TEW 2016 save JT Ace proved to be a grade one A-hole and I wondered if he would be the same in this diaryWell technically there's always the chance you'll get 0 next but let's not consider that possibility!
For me JT used his powers to thaw Gladiator out of a block of ice. So he's firmly in my good books for that, but I'm pretty sure he can play a heel in game so I'd definitely never say never.

I suppose now is as good a time as any to ask hows the format? I'm definitely sticking with the whole PDF thing, I know in some ways people might prefer it to be just posted on here, but I find it a fair bit faster for me. But I more mean like is the font ok? Can people always read everything? I know sometimes with the backgrounds perhaps the writing is a little less clear?
But basically if anyone has any issues or tips for things I could/should change and improve then I'd always appreciate them!

Well that was great! Lots of characters were great but my star of the show has to be Alicia. Although I also loved the idea of the 'Rich Money Economy' and Roger Cage. I'm not sure if Nicky being gone at the start is something that's in the bio and is canon but either way I think it's really helped. Let you focus on the other main guys and then when the figurehead is back he can be the spotlight.
There's a lot of potential for what you can do with a big decade award ceremony. I imagine there's plenty of people that are possible to sign to nightly deals so that will be interesting.

I've been quiet for the last couple of shows, but I really enjoy what you're doing here!

Another fun and entertaining show. I was surprised that I felt zero sympathy for Croft, but he started it, so he got what he deserves.Main Event Mafia have a really good dynamic, I like how everything is pretty tongue-in-cheek, it suits RAW well I think. Also interested to see where the TV title storyline goes, liked the dynamic between the two.
That's good, part of me questioned whether Big Mac isn't a bit of an asshole here, after all Croft may not win father of the year, but you know he is paying the child support... for all we know he's not done anything that wrong. But like you say my idea was that Croft started this whole digging up secrets thing, this was just Big Mac responding eye for eye style. Either way the story is just getting going!
It's definitely plenty tongue-in-cheek, I know sometimes that's gonna end up being hit or miss. If you have lots of wacky characters and weird situations every so often one is just going to either be a bad idea, or be written bad and just not work. But RAW i'd prefer to just go with that, and be as unique a product as possible.
So spoilers now if you haven't yet read episode 4 above!

Not surprised it was a lower scoring week. Lynx was definitely an upset. This was mostly because I want Tombstone free for a different story coming up that he doesn't need the title for.
And I'm also not surprised nobody picked the RAW Giants. In a way it was out of the blue, but again it's a case of this booking decision being influenced by some future plans I have. I definitely did toy with the idea of giving them a bigger send off, but I also liked the idea behind that angle, with it being pretty much opposite to most dramatic tag team splits in wrestling. Although that's not to say it's necessarily the last time their stories will cross.

The presentation has really kept up, it's looking awesome. Debut show was good, will look forward to once the weekly shows get going properly.
I agree with cecede that perhaps some of the parts with more text needed to be on the screen much, but at the same time once suggestion I would have would be to speed up some of the other parts. For example of dice rolling thing was cool, a unique transition from one match to another, although by the 5th time it came on I was sort of wishing it was sped up a little.
Although one thing that perhaps is my fault is I can't see the bottom of the video where you can pause/skip/rewind/change the speed. I know when others have used embedded videos on here (first that comes to mind is 20LEgend's ECW and current Kurt Angle 2020 diary) is they have that bar. So sometimes I put it on 1.2 speed, or if I miss something I can easily go back. Also means you can speed it up as much as you want on your end, because people can easily pause or rewind if they miss something. So I'm not sure if there's some different way to embed the video? I've never done it before so wouldn't know. Maybe some people can see the options?
Although the way it is embedded currently is very clean and looks good so it's not a big deal either way!
I can't think of a diary though that's had as strong a theme running throughout it so looking forward to see where you take it.
Edit: Just gone back to the show and remembered I can always just click the link to open the show on youtube, which obviously then gives me the chance to speed it up/pause it etc.

But I do love the idea of giving yourself different booking challenges. I imagine this week should go fairly well as even without Swoop you got that massive main event and Jackson/Frogue promos should be good enough to keep you rating high.
Edit: Posted this before I saw the show, I knew you'd still do good but 81 is great!

Thanks for the comments guys, I can definitely see myself getting into my stride with the roster which initially daunted me. I like small rosters normally but with me only focusing on the 2nd hour of RAW it's allowing me to flesh out characters when I see fit rather than everyone at once.

I'm always a sucker for getting the roster on the stage moments but that was just executed really well, nice to see that storyline come to a great close (or at least partial close? I suppose it depends on like you say if Hellion really was the attacker, I'd guess no though). </p><p> </p><p>
Either way though it's a great way to set up that title match. It's impressive that despite it not being a lengthy read you're getting everything that needs to be in.</p>

Perhaps you guys have seen this thread but should mean we don't need to start again which is great news. Obviously my momentums have still taken a hit over those last 5 weeks, but at least now it shouldn't get any worse

I'd say 100% go for it, I think it's clear RAW is appealing to plenty of people so the more the merrier. And it definitely looks like you could teach me a few things about booking them so I'd love to read it!
But yes it definitely looks like I'll be starting the game file again which sort of sucks. I'll report back how different it goes. I know in my save file though, I did plenty of angles with just Swoop and off the top of my head I don't think any were above 90... at least it wasn't the norm anyway, maybe one or two did. So will be interesting to see how much that changes with this patch.

He's far from a GCG legend, but he is an alumni, so it's conceivable he made some contacts/stayed in touch. It's no longer in his bio but I'm pretty sure he was the booker for TCW during a decent time for them. </p><p> </p><p>
In 2016 I've got a feeling he had just lost the book with the whole BriCo thing but perhaps it still stings in 2020 and he wants to prove he can do better. </p><p> </p><p>
I also like the fact that he's already based in the US so it's perfectly realistic he'd open up there.</p>

Yeah I'm a little worried that some damage is done. I know before the patch I had 2 major stars, and after putting the most recent patch in it's still just Swoop and Maurice as my major stars.
This is only 5 weeks in though, but if momentum is a major factor in perception and Nickman is right that 5 is the normal number then perhaps it is late.
Edit: Just to confirm I've started a new game and yep there's 5 major stars. I'll probably book the show the exact same as I did and see how different it is. It's a tough one because I'm pretty confident I'll do quite a lot better, as in general I was surprised on my normal save that I was getting passable grades but nothing at all great, I also have quite a few people lose popularity but only 1 or 2 gain. Obviously this could just be getting to terms with the new game but the momentum affecting it would make a lot of sense.
It's a tough one, assuming these shows I'll book tonight/tomorrow with the new system does much better, I wouldn't particularly care, it's just one month. But I suppose if the damage will have set me back and it will take months of careful booking just to get back to the starting point, then perhaps it's worth the effort to rebook all the shows.

Also I can't see the booking mistake you made on that week 3? Only possible thing I can see is booking the 2 face teams to face each other but that seems intentional and it's not the end of the world low down the card...</p><p> </p><p>
Also in my game, although he's not debuted in the diary, Joe Zucco is also a hired gun. Is that cannon and I've just forgotten or did we just both decide to do that separately? I know it's not the most original wrestling idea so perhaps it's just a coincidence. I wasn't sure if perhaps someone else has done that in an old RAW save and I've forgotten where I got the idea from.</p>
