1. I actually like how you are using Lynx. I was one of the biggest guys against Tombstone (Where is he again, did he get taken off due to the abduction) but anyway. Lynx looks like a star because of this, we get unique interactions and Lynx a guy I didnt rate at all does not look out of place as the QUEST Champion.

That's good to hear. My hope is for the Quest Title to be really fluid. Both in terms who in the card can win it, and how it's treated in storylines.

Tombstone hasn't been on Attitude! since he no-showed the Wrestler's Court and was banned from the locker room. Technically he's not banned from RAW full stop, but he's keeping his head down/plotting his next move. He's definitely someone I can see coming and going a lot. There's a few people like that who won't be featured too often, but when that doesn't necessarily mean I don't view them as stars, or at least potential stars.

  2. I enjoyed both the Manhunter and JT reveals. Like you say it's always nice to have some family dynamics. In some promotions having people in kayfabe being related when they aren't would seem a bit wrong, especially if it was done a lot. But with RAW it just seems natural that a good amount of people are related. It's nice to have that freedom.

It feels bad that Maurice is probably too high up the card for Lynx to beat him, so I'm worried where it can end for him. He could always still get the girl and win there, but lose any 1v1 match between them, although I suppose now it sounds like he's standing her up again that's probably unlikely!

  3. Just caught up with the last show, some really good stuff. Guerrero Meurto is just so cool and that ending with Demon King was a great hook.

And poor Cyclops just trying to fulfill his duties. Another great match set up for AoC

Luchalore again definitely delivered, you've set up so many little mysteries like what goes on in the temples so I'm looking forward to getting more. In general the whole multiverse was already a great idea, but it's being used really well. It's obviously not just a cool bit of backstory but allows to get more creative with some of the storylines.

As cool as Swoop is, I feel like he likes to be in control of himself so the idea of being spiked with hallucinogenic drink wouldn't appeal at all to him.

Yeah nobody else was even in 2 films. Lynx winning the title was a surprise to most, and I agree that in RAW he's not that high up in the pecking order so I'm letting him shine in other ways I suppose as despite being the Quest champion I wouldn't want to put him over anyone decent in ring.

Con Air is one of my wife's favourite films I just asked her why and she said 'It has Nicholas Cage being badass in it'. I don't quite share her love of Cage but it is such a good cast. It has been years since I've watched it though so I'll definitely do so soon with Movie Night 2 in mind.

I appreciate the comments, it's always super interesting to see what parts stick out to people, and it's definitely great to hear when certain lines I enjoyed are ones pointed out.

Not exactly spoilers but I'll still put this in white text as I suppose it's to be read only after the above show...

So I don't believe anyone got a film right, granted you had no clues so picking any right out of the millions of films that exist would have taken a lot of luck.

I had a shortlist of about 5 films I was tempted to use for this and I'm slowing adding to it as there's the chance for a Movie Night 2 down the line. One or two of the films on the shortlists were guessed. And I completely agree that Con Air could work brilliantly so that's on the list.

I enjoy these special episodes, but sometimes they take me a fair bit longer. This one in particular, I knew I wanted at least 3 separate stories (I had things like Treehouse of Horror from Simpsons in my mind) but the task of condensing the films into such small stories, but keeping some sort of narrative whilst still making it relevant to RAW was perhaps too challenging. So yes, as much as I love the freedom of randomly throwing in special episodes. Doing 3 of them in the last 7 shows (Movie Night, GoT, Swoop's abduction) has made me look forward to just getting through a bunch of more normal Attitude! shows.

  8.
Just caught up with this, another good shows. It's definitely interesting that Nicky has done nothing the wrong but the fact that someone as big as Rick Law feels the need to ask permission to go for the title, and then he has the gall to 'endorse' him is just great. He plays that Mr USPW role perfectly and it's going to be real satisfying if he ever does turn heel.

I don't know the lower ends of the roster so well, especially in 2020, but I did always think The Business didn't have the best lineup, so I'm enjoying seeing where this is going with them.

There's always someone dying, or going away and new people joining to replace them. Sure there will be some core actors who stay on it for decades, but in general it's a conveyor belt of cast members.

Heartbreak was the perfect first arrival, RAW loves to stockpile good looking men (I currently have 9 on my roster over 85). I'm not saying I'm purposefully trying to cater to the gay male demographic... but I certainly COULD! I definitely imagine RAW though to be a program for males, I think their company bio even states that it was made for that purpose but I'd like to think if you were trying to get your girlfriend/wife/girl-friend into wrestling, this would be the company you'd show her. There's also going to be quite a few female cast members debuted very soon which might help with that too.

I almost felt bad even writing the segment with Manhunter and Matty, definitely looking forward to the next few segments with them.

Sorry I've been missing for so long. Just got it on Netflix here, watched the first two and stalled on the third. It's pretty interesting and it hooked me but it was three hrs long and the acting wasn't good at times. NOOOO Poor Loxley! *spoiler alert* Bret Hearbreak, indeed!

I've actually not watched either in a very long time, my wife had a university project on it which I ended up helping a lot with. I'm not even sure I've ever watched the third one. Which is funny because I quoted it in the episode but the quote 'just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in' is said a bunch in The Sopranos which I am currently watching.

I'm excited for this new iteration of MeM where there is a lot more emphasis on the whole mafia part. There's just so many gangster film tropes that I think will work well with wrestling.

FYI for you or any other new readers, you probably gathered this yourself but the 'late to the party' thing is because this diary is just for the 2nd hour dubbed 'the main event hour' of the 2 hour show Attitude! Things do happen in that first hour that are relevant to the storylines, but I just keep them short and add them into that recap section.

Show 14 is next, after show 16 I'll be posting a 4 month review type thing that will have a short recap of all storylines. So hopefully that will be useful to anyone who hasn't read it all or who tends to skim through it.

  11.
More good shows, I like the idea of the having the interview segments later. If you had them in the show it will upset the flow and would seem a little odd having short and concise shows with 1 long interview in it. So the way you're doing it really is best of both worlds with easy to read shows but adding some depth to who you want, when you want.

Interesting to have the romance crossing over teams, hopefully these distractions and arguments allow FAD to rise up in the background!

  12.
Cyclops vs. El Orgulloso

    Hellfire vs. Snake King

    Goblin Prince vs. Scorpion

    DeCipher vs. El Ladron

    Death's Head vs. Dolphin Master

Two Bonus predictions, one of the 10 luchadores above won't actually make it into the ring for their match, but the match will still go ahead with a replacement:

    1. Who won't compete? El Ladron

    2. Who will they be replaced by? El Hijo Del Fantasma

Only just caught up but I really enjoyed the last show. Avatar of Chaos is shaping up nicely and I'm looking forward to seeing what an Aztec Temple match is.

Also the Operation Antivenom post might be my favourite piece of backstory ever, just a great idea well executed. There's definitely some contenders but I think Snake King has to be my MVP.

  14. This just doesn't seem to fit with the default database AT ALL, to be honest. Cat Quine, Donnie J, Champagne Lover, Peter Michaels, Christian Faith, Alex DeColt, Victoria Stone-McFly, Michelle Brendon, Suzue Katayama, El Fuerza, and literally dozens of others young enough to do a job either in the ring or as authority figures are all special circumstances? Just a totally bizarre way to set stuff up.

This is what strikes me, I completely agree that SOME people should have just left the business, and if someone has left the business then perhaps you shouldn't be able to talk to them.

But if that is the case then the amount of people who have left the business is WAY to high, especially the amount who completely could still offer lots. When I first saw it it seemed so obviously to be a mistake with how hiatus/left the business is set up that I just assumed it would be fixed.

I remember counting them the other day, and I think it's almost 10% of the entire database. That is madness.

Even if you take away any argument of who should have left the business and what that means, it just seems a massive shame for such a big chunk of all the characters people know to be gone.

  15.
Does anyone know if women's size and body work just like the mens? Not sure how to word this without sparking a debate on the subjectivity of attractiveness...

I've always thought with men asking them to move up in size increases their star quality (assuming to goes well), normally their sex appeal sometimes helps their physical stats too. Getting in shape/more muscular seems to work like this too.

Just checking if it's the same with women? In theory do I want to ask them to increase in size? Or could increasing in size (even if goes positively) negatively affect any stats?

  16.
How has everybody got on with increasing entertainment stats?

I've posted this elsewhere but would be useful to see people in the exact same boat as me.

On my save, I've probably have about 65/70 minutes of promo time every show, but 5 months in 99% of the roster haven't gone up a single point, I've posted to see whether this is a bug or some mistake that can be patched. But I thought I'll check here as if a bunch of you HAVE seen decent increases then perhaps I'm going something wrong.

In general I know how to increase stats, I could do it well in 2016 and I've read the helpfile etc. But perhaps I'm missing something. I hope so anyway!

  17.
Just looking to check how people have gotten on with increasing entertainment stats? Happy to go into the details but long story short I'm finding it much slower than 2016.

    Now I've seen in patch notes for 1.09 that say;

Added Charisma / Act / Microphone skill increases outside of angles to allow for faster progress

So perhaps this has already been addressed, I've probably only done a month of game time since this patch so it could be the case. But I would read that patch note as saying people can now gain skills slowly even if they aren't in angles? So I'd also take from this that the level of skill increase from being in angles hasn't changed?

Also a side note how come there is this and a small questions thread? Surely it would just halve the eyes each question gets?
