It's impressive that despite the simplicity it still somehow distinctly feels like ECW. 100% gutted that Taka didn't take the title, not that it really surprised me.

You know what, Dougie has lost me now as a supporter... he's a nice guy, but now I'm starting to think he desperately needs to get over Rebecca. I'm definitely interesting to see who this wrestler she's dating is though and where the angle is going in general! It's good old fashioned soap opera drama!
Oh and also the Swoop/Blame promo was also good I guess, if you care about title belts and those sort of things...

Nice ending to the first season, it's definitely a concept that grows the more history there is, and the more everyone is used to the format. As someone who over the years would go from religiously reading the many shows you posted, to not being on the forums at all, the idea that in theory someone who hasn't checked this out yet, could start reading for season 2 and in a sense be starting fresh is a real strong point.
I also love the idea of a reunion show.
How many people will be returning for Season 2? Will they be in the same teams? If these are questions you can even answer yet!

I'm intrigued who this person will be in the contract signing. Jack Bruce is definitely a possibility (I assume he's never been in USPW anyway) but there's definitely a few others who could be interesting, perhaps you've poached someone from elsewhere.
I felt for Joe with the desk fan comment, probably true though!
Engyma return was nice, perfect role really I wouldn't have bought it too high up the card but this is exactly the type of feud I can see him shining in, I don't know why I didn't predict it would be him actually as of course he's not been on any shows. The Rick Law role is also perfect, like he says he can always fight again and I'm sure he will, but I like the idea of having an authority figure who is half and half.

Announcement
The June 2020 Diary of the Month marks the 4 Year Anniversary of me taking over the DOTM.
Thanks to a timely conversation with a moderator, going forwards, the winners of the DOTM (Rookie and Veteran, C-Verse and Real World) will have their Diaries pinned for the following month.
Would be interested to here what people think of this? Personally I think upping the amount of stickied threads to 8 seems like overkill.
The DOTM is already sticked throughout the month, so doesn't this do the job of directing people to the diaries that are being voted for? Realistically the diaries that are winning DOTM are already the ones with the most readers but of course there's often lots of great diaries that are just as good but don't have the following (and I say this as someone who has just won). I worry that having 4 diaries stickied will only serve to highlight and direct readers to diaries that need it the least.
I completely appreciate the sentiment behind having some form of reward for the winners, I'm just not certain on the idea, but I'm open to being persuaded and if I'm in a small minority then so be it!

Where is the worker physical condition information in the game? It keeps telling my people need time to heal. I can't find the information in tew 2020. I also tried to look for it on a few wrestlers before signing them.
It's on their skills page, bottom right corner

was it supposed to be sung to the tune of "I Want It That Way"? Because that's naturally what I went with
Forgot to answer to this before, Backstreet Boys are definitely an inspiration to LiberTeen but in my mind Will is a bit cooler. It's weird in my mind I know the beat and a little melody for Motherlover but I'm bad at describing it. Maybe one day if I have too much time I'll use some online keyboard to record it. (Without me singing, naturally!)
I think it should set Goode up for one big final run when he is ready to retire against Mo Jax speaking of which how old is Goode now? I also love when things happen like that re. George injury changing plans or how everything goes.Goode is 41, now when you consider my second older wrestler is 36 (a few people) it shows that his age does stand out. That said he isn't in decline, on the contrary his stats have actually improved over the past few months.
So if he ever makes it back to in ring competition, he's got the ability and the story to go after the title. He would though have a long list of younger stars to compete with.
And I agree about plans being forced to change, granted if it was a more important plan with someone I love I may be less positive! But in general it's great to be reminded that no matter what plans I have for the diary, it's all rooted in game and that can change everything.
Ruthless from JT and the Main Event Mafia, really like the mentions of the situation with the locker room segment and Lynx. Really added to the gravitas of what happened last week. The TV title felt all encompassing on this show, which I liked.Huge win for Blake Belushi. Is that Big Mac's first pinfall loss or am I forgetting something?
Love The Wayne family being brought together by Will. Never thought we'd see them all back on the same page, but this is as good a reason as any!
Luke Steele continues to entertain, and a paintball fight for the RAW TV Title. This company is insane
and I mean that in a good way! Can't wait to see that unfold. It's stuff like this that makes me wonder if the CornellVerse has someone like Jim Cornette. I'd pay to see a version of Cornette react to some of this stuff!
Yeah it's been a little too rare that the focus has truly been on the TV title, so it's nice to change that.
That is Big Mac's first loss. The game says RAW have pushed him hard since he signed in late 2018, so I've always said that he's never been pinned clean. My thinking being if he had literally beaten everyone for over a year, you'd think he'd be close to the title contention when you start the game. So I've gone with the story that he's been hugely dominant but has been screwed over a few times. So I suppose you could say this was his first proper loss, obviously there was a mini-distraction but still, it's definitely an important moment for him.
Luke Steele is 100% the easiest person to write for. It's never clever, or anything particularly special, but it's also never hard to think of what he would say in any situation! He's also been gaining a lot of popularity in game to say I've not really put any effort into that, so he's fast become one of my favourites.
And definitely, a lot of diaries, like your own and Lloyd's make good use of dirtsheet style posts every so often. One reviewing RAW from someone like I don't know Eric Tyler perhaps would definitely be fun.
<div style=" border: 2px solid black";">Episode 20Swoop McCarthy wasn't at last week's TV taping. And HOW? (2 points) Clue: The wrestler is a star/major star in game.
-
Loved every bit of that, real great ending. You did really well at making an interesting mini story but also trying it into the wider lore and the general EMLL stuff.
Snake King has to be one of my favourite characters of any diary, and it's also done wonders for Rey Soldado who I'll definitely look forward to seeing more.

Taka already bringing the goods grade wise! As much as I'm enjoying his little segments, and this might be sacrilegious to say here, I was never a sandman fan, so I'm looking forward to seeing who steps up

You've just made a big mistake. That might fly with any of the other LiberTeen's but Lawyer George is definitely all over this:
https://fairworklegaladvice.com.au/terminating-the-employment-of-employees-on-workers-compensation/
It's so weird you say that, the initial plan of George's mini face run was actually going to involve him suing Croft for wrongful termination just to get at him, but until you pointed it out I never saw the irony of the whole situation!
-
Oh God, I read that and was like: WHEN WAS GOODE IN A MATCH WITH BRODIE?!?! 13 MONTHS?!?! OH WOW!! NO WONDER YOU STRIPPED HIM OF THE TV... Oh wait... It's just George LiberTeen... Thank the Lord!!
Yeah that was really weirdly put together sentence wasn't it!
But exactly, if I could pick anyone on the roster to lose like that he'd be very high on the list. I liked the idea of a George face run but in reality his stats are just way too low.

Captain and Swoop at the wedding felt like a huge moment. The wedding, particularly the song. Wow. There is one quote I wanted to post, but it might get me banned
was it supposed to be sung to the tune of "I Want It That Way"? Because that's naturally what I went with
Really happy to get some good feedback for the wedding and the song. In my mind the song has become a mini viral success, at least in Australia, so it's fitting for it to get a reaction.
I've always tended to * out any swearing, but I'm thinking RAW is on late night on a channel that's targeting young males. It just didn't seem right. So I didn't want to suddenly start swearing for the sake of it and having super risque angles, but I definitely intend on slowly making it just a little more edgy. I don't know what the forum rules are, tbh I've got a feeling on these actual messages we aren't supposed to swear? But hey I'm linking to somewhere else and even had a warning so... surely it's fine.
Ahh the prestigious Television title, decided in a paintball fight. Im so excited. As someone who tends to play as performance heavy promotions, something like this does feel odd to me, in general the quest title (at least whilst Lynx holds it) is where you'll get most the wacky stuff, and the TV title is supposed to be a bit more traditional, it's hard to comment more on my reasoning without spoilers but in general things like this will be rare for the top title.
It's a fun episode to write so hopefully it's an enjoyable one!
If it doesnt spoil a future plot point to say so, what was the reason Goode had a heart attack and vacated anyway? Some sort of injury in-game or he unexpectedly died or something? Just curious if this all to do with something that happened out of the blue given he only won the title recently, or if I'm just getting worked
Good question... I'm torn how much to explain.
All I'll say is... I like the idea that RAW allows me turn some wrestling logic on it's head. Like you say he'd just won the title, was the leader of a big stable which were doing well, but could perhaps do with a dominant championship reign, all signs point to him keeping the title. So the reign ending like this is hopefully much more shocking. I definitely want to cultivate the feeling that anything can happen.
That said, I'd like to think I'm not just making decisions for the sole reason of being shocking, I think the storyline both for the TV Title, and Rahmel going forward would be more interesting than the title reign he's been robbed of.
So yeah he's alive, but whether you'll see him wrestle again is perhaps a different story.
However I do have an instance of the game throwing me a curve ball that I can share. In his match with Brodie Lachlan that has just been posted, he suffered a major concussion and is out for 13 months. I'm not paying him to sit around when he was already very much on the chopping line. So George LiberTeen is not just fired from the band, but in fact from RAW.

Taka is a great sign. ECW alumni but at the same time not at all who I would have expected and offers something different to the roster.
-
I don't get it because it wasn't like they had negative relationship with me or the company that I noticed. Mitch did move over to ZEN who have signed Blake Belushi in a massive move for them. (Someone I may consider grabbing)
That's crazy, have they actually let him go or does he work for both? Surely he'd be your most guy by a decent margin?
Another good show, I liked the Reggie Tate promo and the Monday Next/Gerard one.

I'd 100% go for it, it would be a shame if those comments taint your view of what I'd say in general is a very friendly and supportive community. Why someone would pick to knock a diary (especially a first time one) with basically nothing to go off is baffling to me, and like I say hopefully not representative of the board as a whole.

Granted, I'm not American, perhaps for people there anything Trump related is just too politically charged to be entertainment, I don't know.. but regardless just don't read then would be my advice.
