Question. If you were going to a wrestling show every month, at the same venue, how often would you want to see someone new on the show?

I feel like fairly often, although there's definitely a pretty low limit before adding too many new would have a negative impact. I'd like to see fresh faces pop in and out every now and then, but I'd want a core group of characters to be pretty static

I've been toying with trying my hand at writing a TEW diary. I've been playing these games for roughly 20 years now, but I've never written a diary. Can anyone give any advice on format and layout, or any sites or tools they use for that?

There's a lot of different layouts at the moment that people are using. You're best bet is probably to find one you like the look off and perhaps message that person, I'm pretty sure 99% of the writers will happily share with you their format or some tips.

I think personally when I'm starting the one the main thing I think of is how graphic heavy do I want it to be/does it need to be. There's plenty of great diaries that use graphics fairly sparingly, Bigelow Cartwheel's ECW comes to mind. And then I've seen some with 0 pictures or formatting still be a good read. Then there's some like Eisen-verse's that have fantastic images and obviously that helps the show come alive. So it's tough to recommend unless you know what you're going for.

A lot of people upload their images to somewhere like IMGUR and then add these into the show, I've liked using google sheets though as it's felt quicker for me to only have the 1 presentation to upload rather than all the images individually.

If you have an idea of the promotion you'd want to be, how detailed you want the shows, how much time you want to spend on the formatting etc then it's easier to narrow down the advice, but yeah I'd reiterate probably best plan is to find some on the boards at the moment that you like.

Just a quick thank you for everyone that voted for this in DOTM. Very happy with coming 2nd, especially with the competition and winning last month.

It also picked up the Spotlight and Event of the month so that was great!

This episode took a little longer to come out as I had the weekend away but realistically 1 episode a week might end up being the pace I settle down to now work is starting back up again.

One more episode left of the 1st round matches.

A small side note from the episode, this saw the debut of the owner of the bar. She is played by Juliet Balconi in game but I'm hoping to change both her name, and officially name the bar that has been used a lot in the shows. Any ideas for both those names will be interesting to hear and likely used!

I think it's fair to say we would all understand an explanation like that. Maybe letting us know beforehand would have been better.

But based on the replies I've had from Arlie, that's not the case. It sounds like a mistake/error, something they didn't know was going to happen.

And it's frustrating that regardless of what has happened we're just left speculating with no real explanation/apology.

I'm not sure if perhaps a thread is needed because I'd like to give the mods or anyone higher up with any knowledge on the situation the benefit of the doubt that they've maybe not seen this discussion? Because if not it's disheartening. Whilst I'm sure there could be an understandable reason, they must surely know that lots of people losing diaries they've poured hundreds of hours into is a big deal and something that at least needs publicly addressing.

What do you mean lost diaries? Someone computer fried up or something? One can search for inactive diaries from the user panel or search function. Or save game corrupted or?

From what I can tell when the earlier games (07-13) dynasties section got combined a load were lost. So just don't show up on searches/don't exist at all anymore. A lot of super long running diaries have gone.

I know I'm not the only one who's lost diaries, but it sucks. And I'm yet to get any kind of answers on why they're gone, and if they can be brought back.

I think this is the thing for me. Me losing a couple of diaries I had around 20 shows posted on isnt a big deal at all compared to some of the awesome work that has been lost. But, from what I've seen, the lack of any explanation or apology does really suck.

<p>What are the advantages of a TV show over a weekly event model that? Assuming both are on the same station.</p><p> </p><p>

I ask because popularity growth is MUCH faster in events (and for some reason that I can't understand this has just been made stronger as the latest patch has made pop growth on TV slower). I understand if a promotion has both </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

But I'd assume TV shows have some benefit? Or at least is there some reason why running 4 events a month is a bad idea? I'm playing as RAW and it just feels like there's a hell of a lot of negatives to only having TV but I suppose I don't exactly understand the differences between weekly TV show and weekly event.</p>

So you want to try and set some to be turning for a while to let them foreshadow it... Assuming you can't compete with the base salary, you can offer them longer ones which people often like, you can give them perks such as creative control, you can promise them a certain position on the card.. all of this can help swing it but realistically if the WWE really wants them you'll be fighting a tough battle but I suppose that's realistic!</p>

Monty with the big save! I have high hopes for this pairing.

Also, it's a bit unfair of you to put Tombstone into a feud with the Hot Rod isn't it? Tombstone can't afford to be jobbing out right now, he needs to get some momentum back.

I do too, in some ways Will's character is strong enough to stand by himself, but this pairing just has a few interesting possibilities I didn't want to leave.

Maybe it's unfair... or maybe... instead of devaluing Tombstone it will elevate Rod?? Maybe? Time will tell. I agree though, Tombstone has been involved in some major angles but hasn't come out of any looking great. In my mind he's the type of character than doesn't need too many big wins but can always come in and play a role when needed, but perhaps I'm wrong and I'm actually just slowly burying him. If I'm honest I keep swapping from viewing him as somebody I can see with the TV title down the line to somebody who I want to keep down in the midcard. Every dog has his day, his day might be very soon!
