I'm an uber women's wrestling fan and I was thinking of creating a promotion similar to GLOW & WOW, where the women play larger than life made up characters.
It would be broken up into seasons consisting of like 8 or 10 episodes and I could hire like 20 women or 30 women and each season they can play completely new characters... new names, new gimmicks, new storylines, etc. Basically an anthology series similar to American Horror Story.
Is there any interest in an anthology type diary?
I definitely think it sounds good.
Especially because you can be confident of finishing a season. Obviously a lot of diaries end abruptly but this gives natural milestones to get to. Means you can do season 1, treat it like a pilot, and if you enjoy it and want to do more then you're already set.

I was going to also do one for announcer/commentator as I'll need them in game. But realistically ELITE wouldn't actually have one yet, so for now I'll use a random one in game. It's a bit strange that in game you need an announcer/colour team until you get PPV or TV but I'm pretty sure you do get penalties without them.

I hope to bring him back at some point but I only signed him for a one off deal and somewhere between when I signed him the first time and when I tried to sign him again he had gain enough popularity that he now feels he is too big to sign for me. So hopefully when I hit the next size he will change his mind lol Gargantuan is one of my top favorite monster heels in the cverse and I would definitely enjoy being able to book him more consistently!
Sounds like he saw the type of operation your running here and realized he was too big of a star to ever associate with you, that's my boy.

One question though, did Vessey or Aroma win? Match says Vessey but that Aroma then celebrates.

<p>As BigJay mentioned winning from 30 seems rare so I do always respect that choice when it happens. In an ideal world coming in anywhere in like the top 10 should basically make winning impossible. Some might call that boring... maybe they're right! Either way winning from 30 makes the whole 'what number will somebody pick story' next year more interesting. </p><p> </p><p>
It's crazy to me to see a NOTBPW with no Stones in the main event, although I imagine Edd must be upper midcard. I imagine Duane is getting on but would still love him to return.</p>

<p>Although it's not exciting to me in any way what so ever, it's still good to see so many quality of life improvements for mod makers. </p><p> </p><p>
I play 99% C-Verse but the tiny amount of modding I tried quickly showed me the insane amount of work that must go into it all. So even as a c-verse guy I understand quicker mods = more/better mods = more people playing the game and on the forums which is always a plus. </p><p> </p><p>
I think the ai improvements also sound promising. Of course the AI is in many ways a main weakness of the game, but I don't see how you could make ai that could in any way book a wrestling promotions realistically, especially sports entertainment style products. Personally I accept there's always going to be limitations to how great the ai can get and appreciate any small improvements which there seems to be plenty of this time.</p>

Just a couple more episodes until the first show. I've made most the characters now in game but might do a few test shows just to make sure it's balanced nicely before starting what will be the proper save. I need to hit that sweet spot where the in game grades matches the story I want to tell.

I tell you I'm back reading and super happy to see my boy Garg undefeated, and at the very first PPV he gets taken out
Has been an awesome show so far though and that match was great. I fully went into it thinking he had no chance but slowly started to realise you were giving him the belt. But it was still shocking to see the 3. It's annoying because part of me wanted to predict it. It just seemed the perfect storm for a surprise but ah well. Looking forward to his reign although it wouldn't surprise me if it was short.

Yeah I know what you mean, using the editor and things like that normally doesn't feel right. Although I think there's a very big difference between just using it randomly when it's not needing and using it to actually preserve the realism.
It's a shame really because I imagine with the 2020 changes and being able to play as a developmental a lot of the issues you'll have won't exist anymore.
Then again it's not like any of this stuff actually affects the diary/story side of things. That's what I've had to tell myself starting a new diary this late on in 2016 life, I'm sure there is plenty of new stuff that would help in my game behind the scenes but it doesn't necessarily change the story I hope to tell (especially if, like you, I just admit I'll have to use the editor and things like that on occasion.)
Also enjoying the format. Tbh I'd be put off by long shows on youtube. Although I enjoy some professional podcasts, most the time I couldn't enjoy listening to one guy for an hour even if the actual content was good. So these smaller bite sized episodes are perfect.

I guess now's good a time as any to explain a bit of the behind the scenes. </p><p> </p><p>
So whilst doing this I'm slowly creating the pictures for the new people. These are not in the C-Verse at the amount and will be completely new workers that I'm adding into my database. </p><p> </p><p>
Elite will start with very low popularity obviously, but not 0. My thinking is let's take Heyman as a RL example, it would be impossible for him to open up (or even just be heavily involved) in a wrestling show and it be a 0. I mean 0 (at least to me) is like if I personally was going to put a show in some village in England.</p><p> </p><p>
I think even if Phil Vibert was just to tweet, hey I'm putting on my first show since DAVE on this day, it would immediately have more people following it than a random independent. </p><p> </p><p>
Add to this the vlog, Penny isn't supposed to be some huge youtube star, but my thinking is she still makes a living from it. So these vidoes would at least mean something to the shows popularity. </p><p> </p><p>
That said, I still haven't decided actually how popular to start the company. (any opinions welcome) </p><p> </p><p>
In terms of the wrestlers though, they are all pretty much completely unknowns, again though I'd like to think the vlog would add at least a tiny bit of popularity. </p><p> </p><p>
Wrestling ability wise they're all going to be fairly awful, but depending how bootcamp goes some will have a little skill in certain areas. Just letting you know in advance so you're aware that bootcamp matters not just in storyline but for the actual creation of the characters. </p><p> </p><p>
I'll be getting you all involved when it comes to the wrestlers starting popularity, as most will be super low but in my head one or two of them would gain a bit of boost by being liked by Penny's viewers (aka you).</p>

Nice episode. It all feels realistic but is already starting to feel fresh. Out of interest how are you doing this in the game? (apologies if you've already explained this somewhere). Are you running all of WWE but just using ECW for this? Will ECW be part of the draft?
Will be interesting if you can self impose some restrictions on yourself, perhaps Punk or RVD get 'too' popular and are stolen by one of the A shows, things like that.

Not that I'm aware of although it would make for a cool game mechanic if giants gained a small bonus for say 'wowing the crowd' , but that their prime is much shorter than most.
