  1. yeah it's great to see this return, and with a good show too, Maribel will be an interesting champion by the looks of it. I don't envy you reformatting all the previous shows but I'm sure it will feel good to combine them, I'll likely need a skim through to catch myself up/remind myself what's gone on.
  2. Up next on TV-PR... For the first time in their history the stars of FREEDOM Caribbean Wrestling are invited into the homes of every house in Puerto Rico. Tune in for what promises to me a memorable beginning to the new era of FCW. Puerto Rican Title Mutant (c) vs Handsome Stranger People's Championship Island Boy Apollo (c) vs Bradford Peverell Cobra vs Bull Wrecker Bonus: Following the fiery words shared between The Gonzalez Family at The Freedom Movement, Lee Bambino has a sit down interview with Marco. Lee has asked for any questions from the FCW fans... Just 3 points up for grabs here as I don't want to actually give points for the bonus in case people feel obliged. But I enjoyed doing something similar briefly in my RAW diary and I think these Bambino sit down interviews will help with some characters.

  4. Gargantuan, Jamie Atherton and Ian DeColt vs Greg Black, Marc Dubois and Skip Beau I enjoyed the image creating in the Garg promo last show. Although I did also enjoy Marc's promo. Still I always find it hard not to go for Gargantuan, a little part of me always yearns for a good old fashioned strong big man at the top. Thunder & Lightning and Zeus Maximillion vs The Canadian Blondes and Whippy The Clown Zeus and Whippy delivering so far. Chucky Dorrance vs Killer Karson Curse of Chucky will strike again with his deadly roll up. Drake Young & Philippe LeGrenier vs Generation Z ??? vs TDM Perhaps some of the aforementioned new signings...
  5. Angus McCloud vs. Mikel de SotaBackbreaker Simpson vs. Chris AlphaLeo King vs. Mike O'ReillyKenny Maynard vs. William Riley 1978 is the year of the Irish Rogue!
  6. PSW Championship - Ernest Youngman vs Nelson Callum (c) Surprising myself by going this. Feel like my head is saying Ernest but gut otherwise. Street Fight - Ash Campbell vs Chris Caulfield My thinking here is a) Chris will be MUCH more popular than him in game. b) Ash's run through hardcore legends has been great and Chris is perhaps the most popular one left so it wouldn't surprise me if Chris gets a win to kickstart a longer rivalry and c) because Chris is a big name I don't know what Ash would do next after a win as I'd be surprised to see him go back to title. Submission Match - Art Reed vs Logan Wolfsbaine Could make a similar argument as above that perhaps Art is a bigger roadblock for Logan, but nah this one I'll give to the youth. PSW National Title - Sayeed Ali (c) vs Xavi Ferrera Tough, but I can see Ali getting a PSW shot soon. Battle of the Acids Acid vs Acid II Youth again, I think. Churchyard clash for PSW Tag Titles Samoan Destruction Inc vs The Dirty White Boys(c) I imagine on their home turf they get the job done. Battle Royale - Winner earns last entry into the Big Ass Brawl Featuring Arthur Dexter Bradley, Cerberus, Doug Peak, James Diaz, Prime Time Jack Pryde, Sky Man Stuntman, The King, The Silencer, Xavier Reckless As others have said I assume most pop and would give a good main event. No claims match - Cowboy Buck Winchester vs Vendetta Antix vs Austin Smooth A Lover and a Fighter vs Blood Soldiers vs ???????? vs The Dogs of War Man Feelings vs Rich & Famous With a lot of you on the same scores, let's have a tiebreaker. What grade will Ernest vs Nelson get? 67
  7. Will edit this over next couple of weeks but I often lose track of what I've enjoyed. C-Verse PSW: Welcome to my mid life crisis by jcarmjn March saw Lockdown and Homecoming, two great shows that I feel have taken this to the next gear where we're getting properly into jcarmjns vision of PSW. Global Entertainment Wrestling by Newbiezness This has Planet Wrestling GEW's season finale in March as well as many other shows, consistently posting too like always. Showcase Haloween episode of Title Bout Wrestling AboardTheArk Although the larger monthly shows are often the highlights of the diary this weekly episode was a perfect side event that furthered storylines but was a good read in it's own right. PSW Homecoming in jcarmjn's PSW: Welcome to my mid life crisis I think sometimes with monthly only shows it's tricky to make a season finale stand out as all the top stars and titles are on every show, but this did a great job of bringing together the storylines and having enough long running stuff hit it's peak that it felt every part the season finale that it was.
  8. C-Verse CGC: From The Ground (2018 Alternate CornellVerse Mod) AboardTheArk February had Apocalypse in which was a great event, start of Whippy's chaos reign and a big win for Marc Dubios. As well as some big Title Bout Wrestling episodes. It might be slowing down at the moment but it was going strong in feb. If it ends up sadly over would be extra fitting for it to get a deserved DoTM PSW: Welcome to my mid-life crisis jcarmijn Whilst this started in January technically it really got going in february, with a strong amount of awesome shows. Worldwide Wrestling League (CVerse '77) - The League That Came Before Willsky Willsky has somewhat of an uphill battle in a way, a promotion that is skewed heavily (I assume) perf over pop where a lot of the story is inside the matches themselves should be really difficult to make interesting when you're also using characters that few people at all will be used to. So it's a testament to his format which he's really nailed down over past couple of years with PWL/WWL that you do actually find yourself getting drawn in and caring about the outcomes. Global Entertainment Wrestling [CV20] by newbiezness It's great to have a mixture of diary types on the boards, this is a fun one to follow as whilst it rarely goes in depth for particular shows this means it can get deep into the save quickly so your more following the promotion in general than any one storyline. Also as someone who's posting schedule can vary and get sporadic I'm always impressed at the sheer amount of shows. Sorry to not include links I'm struggling to get it all together on my phone.
  9. Ernest v Nelson always seemed like the big upcoming match and looking forward to see what will happen. It's definitely a rivalry I can see carrying a promotion forward. Lots of good stuff in the undercard like always, Caulfield is likely a perfect opponent for Ash to bounce back from his defeat although I can only imagine how angry Chris will be in game if you try put Ash over him.
  10. Understandable! Good luck with your thesis and fingers crossed this continues even at a very different pace.
  11. I didn't quite realise how surprising most those last results were until I tallied it up now, comfortably my least predictable show. Whilst that's to be expected with a 6 man main event I think it was more Xavi/Latino Kings people didn't see losing, I do see why. In truth I've not decided when these rankings will run up to, thinking I'll just keep the total scores running. I'm undecided on whether to offer prizes out or not... I'll think! Hopefully these smaller shows with less detail are still readable? They are for me but I've never really checked it on a phone. This one just posted in particular is an important one! Press conference to follow. I didn't know exactly when I would get TV and so I have my monthly plans completely sorted for quite a long time sorted, now a lot of it will need a rework as obviously 5 or shows a month will look very different to my 1 major 1 or 2 minor shows that I've been doing. Hopefully this doesn't cause too much of a delay to my posting.

  13. Good to hear that as a concern I had was Mutants previous losses (despite him having big excuses for them) would take the edge off fan support for him so I knew it had to be a dominant display. And a second concern was that Charlie Thatcher is not a glamorous signing. I've been very careful to stick to the original roster and he is actually my first in ring signing but like you say I think he actually fits us well and I like the challenge of avoiding obvious signings. He's also actually very popular and was appearing on USPW TV very regularly until they decided to not renew so in my mind this would actually be a pretty shocking coup despite his age. I don't like to go into my thinking behind booking decisions too much incase it gives plans away but one I do feel the need to comment on is Xavi's loss. I think part of the issue is people are used to him in PSW where he's one of the most popular members of roster. He started this year with like 10 pop in Puerto Rico! Which was a big factor in him losing his title early. Frederique on the other hand is around 65 pop. So not only would Frederique not accept losing to him (he is even very angry at losing in the main event despite not being pinned) but it didn't feel right even if storyline wise it might have been Xavi's time to some. The other perhaps controversial booking choice will be Handsome's loss. I worry in my attempt to give depth to the heel character by giving him some genuine reason to feel hard done by I perhaps over did it and foreshadowed a face turn that in truth I don't see coming. But we'll see, plans always change! There's also some exciting news to come...
  14. FCW: The FREEDOM Movement Click above for FCW's 7th major show of the year.
  15. A lot of changes in FCW for sure. If it's any consolation for HS, I would have sent Brodie too... Hopefully him losing the People's Championship frees him up for the vacant Puerto Rican Title.
  16. Could I make a request for future polls if possible; that it's not mandatory to vote in all categories. Although I know there's some great ones on the boards I very rarely follow real world diaries and it feels wrong for me to vote in it. Granted I got around it by just voting for both so my vote didn't sway things, so it's not really an issue if it's not doable.
  17. PSW: The Night Before All matches are hardcore unless specified otherwise PSW Title - Nelson Callum(c) vs James Diaz Ernest Youngman vs 'El Jefe' Handsome Stranger Art Reed & Xavi Ferrera vs Logan Wolfsbaine & Sayeed Ali Jackpot Jordan vs Mighty Cavanagh Jake Idol vs Teddy Powell The Samoan Family (Umaga, Machine & ADB) vs The Dirty White Boys & The Sky Man Rap Battle - Antix vs Austin Smooth Acid & Reckless vs Devil May Care Cowboy Buck Winchester vs Prime Time Jack Pryde
  18. Hopefully Mammoth's comment help that struggle, but yes they appear full size for me and I wouldn't say the show being split into different pictures hurts the presentation at all. Akima was presented great here, he's definitely someone with enough of an aura and talent in the C-verse to carry a smaller promotion but will be interesting to see how else is brought in. Second star of the show perhaps surprisingly was Becky, in that she did her job as an enhancement talent perfectly and made Tala look like the real deal.
  19. Card for FCW: The FREEDOM Movement Can the Puerto Rican Champion cement his legacy as the longest reigning champion in FCW's 12+ year history? Or will perhaps the most dominant faction the island has ever seen fall when faced with 6 Man Mayhem. An Uncle and Nephew meet to discuss the dramatic events that ended FREEDOM's Fury, the People's Champ will fight against the newest group to form a threat to FCW, the 9th opponent on a giant's path to the title will be revealed and the newly inducted hall of famers be able to hold onto the belts with the man on form busy with the main event. FCW Puerto Rican Title Handsome Stranger(c) vs Mutant vs Davis Wayne Newton vs Joffy Laine vs Rudy Velasquez vs Xavi Ferrera/Frederique People's Championship Island Boy Apollo(c) vs King Kong Kennedy FCW Tag Team Titles Latino Kings(c) vs Harlem Knights Xavi Ferrera vs Frederique ??? vs Giant Brody
  20. I definitely agree, there's no need to feel beholden to their past product and if your vision is more 'bland' traditional then I'd always say go with what you're most comfortable with/enjoy writing. Although hopefully pulling off episodes like that last one at least show you that you can pull it off if ever you do inject more gimmicky stuff. I think adding in the character stuff in the show descriptions can 100% work just as well if not better than promos. I think quite a few of my favourite diaries over the years (off top of my head Self's & Bigelow Cartwheel's stuff comes to mind) were similar in that regard. MATCH CARD FOR NEXT WEEK: Champions Scramble: Ian DeColt & Whippy The Clown vs The Canadian Blondes Jamie Atherton vs Robin DaLay Brett Fraser vs Dusty Ducont Charlie Homicide and Tongan Death Machine vs Generation Z Chucky Dorrance vs Nathan Black
  21. This was perfect. Intro I could really easily picture in my head. Many of the costumes were great but I can definitely picture Gargantuan being the type to keep picking the same one, to be fair to him though him doing the backbreaker in a Bane costume would least take at least a couple of years to stop being cool. Whippy being everyone but Joker I loved and I'm all for the you 'Got Tricked' catchphrase. I did a costume battle royale in my RAW diary and I'm annoyed I didn't think of the idea of them all being anonymous until the reveal, was a fun way to end. Whilst you could argue saving it fully for Halloween works I think in general the more comedic style fits CGC well year round especially as it was pulled off fully.
