  1. <p>I vaguely remember seeing a thread going about for the C-Verse 77' mod, but haven't managed to find it again since.</p><p> </p><p> Was this mod ever released? If so, would anyone happen to have a link to it?</p>

  4. <p>3 months into my game with UPJ. Just coming up for the Ozeki Summit final. I completely lost track of time and when the event was, so quickly threw together 2 small groups to make up the tournament.</p><p> </p><p> The final will be contested by Juro Deguchi & Ryotaro Naruto in a repeat of 2009 final which was won by Deguchi. It's a 40 & 41-year-old contesting the final and I'm gonna give Deguchi the nod for his 3rd Ozeki Summit victory so he'll be tied with Kenta Sonada for the most tournament wins. He's not hit time-decline yet but I'm going with a story of that he wants to prove he can still go. Sort of Tanahashi-esque (In my minimal knowledge of NJPW). He's got a strong friendship with Kintaro Kinjo, the current Ace, so he wants to prove he's as good as the best. As an added bonus, the final will also be for the new UPJ Intercontinental championship along with the obligatory Heavyweight title shot at Procession of Champions.</p><p> </p><p> Oda Yamawaki has asked for his release so he's being jobbed out before he goes. The future Ace for the company and he wants away. We'll humble him. He was injured via a botch in early January and missed 6 weeks. He came back angry and his match performances weren't as good as before the injury. Half-assing it. I made him take a loss to Ryotaro Naruto during the tournament, he was very unhappy about it but did it anyway. Ended up more pissed off. </p><p> Eventually, he asks for release so he's putting over everyone on his way out. Especially Jack Jericho (Jack America) and King Fergus (Fergus Storm), the latest members of the RENEGADES stable, headed by EVR. The stable has had an overhaul of it's crew. EVR cuts a promo saying certain members just can't cut it and he beats them down, with the help of his new bandmates. So the new look RENEGADES stable is;-</p><p> Aydan Farrell, Bruiser Cassidy, Erik Van Rijn, Graham McKenzie, Jack Jericho, King Fergus and Kris Phoenix.</p><p> </p><p> Top 2 matches of the year so far have both been singles with Kintaro Kinjo & Juro Deguchi. 1 win apiece. Matches got a 95/A and 96A* ratings, respectively.</p><p> </p><p> Up next is trying to sort tag teams out for the World Tag Tournament coming up. Don't know whether to hold it in a style similar to the G1 or just as a basic Round Robin tournament. </p><p> </p><p> Also set up a development territory called New Japan Pro Wrestling. Original, right? After my World Tag Tournament will be the UPJ Junior Mountain tournament and I'm looking forward to that. I've brought together some great talent for that which should be an excellent tournament.</p><p> </p><p> This has all been brought on by a new found admiration for NJPW. Never really watched it before but WWE has bored me to tears and wanted something new. Figured I'd try something different for TEW too. Apologies for the lengthy post.</p>
  5. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="K-Nection" data-cite="K-Nection" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="40971" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> <div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/BQCPj-bGYro?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Professional Wrestling is Stupid and Beautiful and I Love it"></iframe></div></div><p> </p><p> If you have plenty of time on your hands I suggest you give this video a watch. Honestly this video has convinced me I need to give New Japan a serious look. I never knew the storytelling was this in depth.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You and I both, sir. I recently found Sbowbuckles New Japan videos on vimeo. (I believe he was on YouTube but was shut down for copyright stuff?). He's got several videos on New Japan that have got me starting to get hooked on the product, more so after watching WK12 this year. I entered a fan of Jericho and left a fan of the product. </p><p> When I first watched the video of The Golden Lovers story, I was in shock at how in-depth and engrossing the story was. WWE had numbed me but, for the moment, New Japan had reignited a love for wrestling.</p>

All the work those guys do over there is awesome. </p><p> They basically own my C-Verse now with all the re-renders.</p><p> </p><p> Here's the Eisen I've got. Basically a cross between Miz and Jericho for me.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="lBZP8sP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lBZP8sP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="BrokenCycle" data-cite="BrokenCycle" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41303" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Eric Eisen is The Miz of this game, I swear. <p> </p><p> He can be really good if you stick with him.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I agree with this, 100%. Especially using the re-render I've got of him. He's currently the World Champ on the Supreme Brand after dethroning Jack Bruce. Biggest downside is he and Jack have poor chemistry.</p><p> He leads a stable including Emma Chase, Remo, Marat Khoklov, Primus Allen & Hellion and is absolute gold on the mic. I've only just entered 2017 but Eric Eisen has been phenomenal for me, 90 popularity across North America since May (8 months now). He can't break into the top 5 in franchise players list (probably due to his SQ) but, yeah, don't sleep on Eisen! Best heel I've got, and that's including Tommy Cornell on the Thunder brand.</p>
  8. <p>Just about to enter 2005 with GAMMA and there appears to be something built into the game that means LeToussier and Rubenstein just can't stand each other.</p><p> They've had 1 more fight since I took over and Rubenstein won via 2nd round KO. So the series is 3-0 in favour of Rubenstein with a UD and 2 KO victories under his belt and, still, LeToussier calls him out for a 4th fight with Rubenstein accepting. The Heat on this is 'Nuclear' but I can't really justify booking it because who wants to see LeToussier get pummeled for a 4th time?</p><p> </p><p> Some of the belt's are being hot-shotted around as people seemingly can't manage a successful title defence. The Super Heavyweight hasn't had a successful defence since the game started. Gary Sampson beat George Pickering. Kel Ryan beat Sampson, McIneen beat Ryan, Glossop beat McIneen and now Ryan just beat Glossop to become a 2 time champion.</p><p> </p><p> Heavyweight Division is similar. Since last update, Foster got the title back KO'ing Kapur with 1 second to go in the 4th after being knocked about for the whole fight. He then immediately dropped the title to Terron Cabal who then dropped it in his first defence to Kapur.</p><p> Fezzik retired but I convinced him to return and join us for the Icon vs Icon battle vs James Foster. Fezzik KO'd Foster in the 2nd round. It seems he's sticking around til he loses. Lars Gunnar Ekberg is the hero of this save. Calling out everyone he can and backing it up by whipping their ass. He's currently 9-0 and since I started he's beaten Gaby Corrales, Sam Hoynes, Fatuma Roy, Sylvester Collins, Pai Cheng, Aleksander Ivanov, Mason Archer and Tim Boyer in the process. Only Cheng made it to the end of fight and lost by UD. Ekberg is about to get his shot at Kapur for the title.</p><p> </p><p> Rubenstein defeated Mike Watson to win the Light Heavyweight title for a 2nd time. He then successfully defended vs LeToussier and Van Der Moot (Won via TKO after only 1:27 of Round 1. That was a shock!) before losing to Affonso Villar.</p><p> </p><p> Adam White is the current interim Middleweight Champion. He was set to face Dean after missing a year of action due to a concussion. A few weeks out, Dean goes down with a Major Concussion and will miss 16 months of action. Garner vs White is made for the interim title, as I can't strip Dean, and White wins easily. Not much else to report here.</p><p> </p><p> Manuel Silva is the unbeaten champion at Welterweight and I can't see him losing. His next defence is vs Jack Humphreys. Humphreys is my idea of Chael Sonnen. Trash talker supreme. He's had 4 fights so far, won 3 with 1 NC. He beat Rufus Stephens via UD but got popped for drugs and was banned for a year. He & Nathan Chambers went back and forth on Social Media for a year. On his return, Humphreys wins via UD and now faces the champion. </p><p> I'm considering Humphreys vs Silva to be similar to Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen. The defence is happening in Brazil too.</p><p> </p><p> Fiyero Lermentov is unstoppable as champion at Lightweight. Luiz Machado has had 1 successful defence as Featherweight champion but we've recently added Tomohiro Takuchi, Willy Basset, Li-Kong Ho & Phillip Ziskie to the division so we'll see how this develops.</p><p> </p><p> Rennaya Rives won the women's Flyweight Tournament to be crowned champion. We've only 12 women in this division but it's a start. Plus Pamela O'Niell has recently joined too so the division has been put on notice.</p><p> </p><p> Only one award for GAMMA for the year 2004. Affonso Villar wins fighter of the year which means a GAMMA fighter has won it for the past few years. 2002 was Rav Kapur and 2003 was Fiyero Lermentov. Alpha-1 take back the crown for company of the year.</p><p> </p><p> That's the latest news from my save. A lengthy update. Sorry.</p>
  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="cdidman" data-cite="cdidman" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44604" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I think I've read this some place, but I can't seem to locate it. Is there a way to increase the amount of fighters being created by the game for a specific weight class? I added the flyweight division for GAMMA and I've gone 1 game year and the game really hasn't created many new fighters for that weight class. XCC has that weight class also, they have I think 30 fighters also.<p> </p><p> Thanks.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Go into settings and on the left-hand side you'll see a tab that says 'populate fighters'. You'll have a bunch of drop-down options from there that allow you to dictate what you want to add to the game. So the fighter's regions, weight class (in your case you'll select Flyweight), and the quality of fighters you want to bring into the game world etc. I think you can choose between 1 and 100 at a time.</p>
  10. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="BrokenCycle" data-cite="BrokenCycle" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44606" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Unreal. 12 defenses in a row.<p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Awesome record. He's a phenom! Any chance at maybe getting a few screenshots of like title lineages etc.? Always impressed when people have long-term saves and keen to see how everyone's games differ from each others.</p>
  11. How has Julio Regueiro fared in all of your saves? I'm nearing the end of 03' in my GAMMA save and when the game starts, he's at 25-1. After 4 fights and 2 years in my save he's now 25-5. Lost 4 in a row and for a 2 time Middleweight Champion, with solid stats and who's only 33, I don't know how to help the guy. He's a star who deserves to be in title contention but he's gotta earn it and has so far failed. Unless I feed him a can, I'm considering releasing him. GAMMA 51, he lost the title to Manuel Silva in only 1:47 of round 1. He followed that up with a 1st round TKO loss to Darin Blood 7 months later. 6 months after that he lost via UD to Jack Humphreys and then recently, OCT 03' he was KO'd by Bobby Brubaker for the second time in his career. Admittedly, some tough opposition there but to lose 4 in a row is a big slide. Other main update is James Foster avenged his KO loss to Rav Kapur and bounced back 12 months later to regain the title. He spent most of the first 4 rounds getting knocked about and simply surviving then the tide turned and with dirty ground and pound, he won the match via TKO with only 1 second of the 4th round left. If the ref hadn't called it, I think Kapur would still be champ. Kapur then immediately bounced back TKO'ing Aleksander Ivanov to keep him out of title contention... for now.
  12. What goes into deciding who your franchise players are? I know in tour the company, your top 5 there are just your top 5 mosy popular/over workers. But what what dictates who's a franchise player? Star quality? Other intangibles? I only ask as Eric Eisen has been undoubtedly the most popular worker for months in my SWF save, everything is money, yet he's not considered franchise.
  13. Main event of the go home RAW show before the King Of The Ring 98' PPV! Rock vs Triple H for IC Title Vader vs Jeff Jarrett for KOTR New Age Outlaw's vs D'Lo & Owen for Tag Titles Mankind vs Taker in Hell in a Cell Austin vs Kane in Hell in a Cell for World Title Should be a solid event!
  14. <p>Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to in-ring action! YES!</p><p> </p><p> The possibilities. Bryan vs Styles/Nakamura/Braun etc.</p><p> Finally...</p>
  15. <p>Well I was thoroughly Sports Entertained by the Ultimate Deletion.</p><p> </p><p> Can only hope this gives Bray some time off TV, some time for us to miss him and the creative team come back with something good and worthwhile for him.</p><p> </p><p> But yes, that was fun!</p>
  16. <p>My favourite series on the Network was the Rivalries...</p><p> </p><p> The episodes with Dusty vs Flair and Flair vs Steamboat are exceptional.</p><p> </p><p> It was an awesome series and I'm still frustrated, over 2 years later, that they've not made any new ones.</p><p> </p><p> Aside from that, I'll always go back and watch the Monday Night Wars series. Not got tired of that yet.</p>
  17. <p>So The Crockett Cup has been and gone. AA & Tully won the tournament defeating Super Powers (Dusty & Nikita) in the final.</p><p> </p><p> In the semi's, The Road Warriors put up their NWA Tag Titles vs AA & Tully to up the ante for getting to the final, and they regret that choice. So The Horsemen are currently ruling the world of JCP for the moment. </p><p> </p><p> Flair is World Champion.</p><p> Tully is TV Champion.</p><p> AA & Tully are NWA Tag Champs.</p><p> </p><p> Luger is about to face off vs Nikita for the US Title and Dusty vs Tully for the TV Title at next Supercard. The Horsemen recently welcomed Larry Zbyszko into the group so it's currently the 5 horsemen.</p><p> This will eventually lead to Luger being forced out of the group and turning babyface to leave the group as JJ, Flair, AA, Tully & Larry. Prefer that look to the group.</p><p> </p><p> Ron Garvin & Barry Windham are still the US Tag Champs but they're due to face off vs The Midnight Express at Supercard and will likely drop the belts. Then the long-running feud between the Midnight Express and the Rock'n'Roll Express will have the heat turned up with gold on the line.</p><p> </p><p> Road Warriors dropped the belts as I'm trying to get Hawk cleaned up. He's in Rehab for 7 months and Animal and Ellering are both suspended for 1 month for steroid abuse. So the Road Warriors and Dusty may have to vacate the 6 man tag title.</p><p> </p><p> Big Scott Hall recently put up the best match of the save so far in a title match vs Flair at a recent tour show with a 94 rating. Hall & Hennig are forming quite the team in the tag division. Sting is teaming with Warrior but eventually, he'll fly solo and Warrior will be released. Ain't nobody got time for that trainwreck.</p>
  18. <p>Started a fresh, new and hopeful long-term save (Yeah, right...) with the 87' Mod from the Mod Squad.</p><p> </p><p> Booking as JCP. Full steam ahead towards the Crockett Cup but had to take a screenshot of Flair's first month in the save.</p><p> A busy first month for the Nature Boy. This is gonna be a fun save but I may have to turn off repetitive booking to give a more legitimate feel for the time-period and run my own 'house shows'. (Tour shows are 'House shows')</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="NIssBSH.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NIssBSH.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> And, while I'm here, here are the brackets for the 1987 Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="P2DshZd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/P2DshZd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> And to clarify, perhaps, some of the team names;-</p><p> The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal)</p><p> The Guerrero's (Chavo Sr. & Hector)</p><p> The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton)</p><p> The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy)</p><p> Horsemen (Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard)</p><p> Bladerunners (The Warrior & Sting)</p><p> Rich Idol's (Tommy Rich & Austin Idol)</p><p> Big & Perfect ('Big' Scott Hall & Curt 'Perfect' Hennig)</p><p> Super Powers (Dusty Rhodes & Nikita Koloff)</p><p> Chaos Connection (Great Muta & Black Tiger II (Eddie Guerrero))</p><p> Windham & Garvin (Barry Windham & Ron Garvin)</p><p> Barbarian & The Warlord (The Barbarian & The Warlord)</p><p> The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane)</p><p> Flying Thunder (Mil Mascaras & Dos Caras)</p><p> The Rock'n'Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson)</p><p> The Lightning Express (Tim Horner & Brad Armstrong)</p>

Sort of a 'surprise' participant to answer Flair's open challenge. Road Warriors are considerably more over than 'Perfect' so, in a popularity over performance company, it's got a good shot at being higher.</p><p> </p><p> If I run the match again in a few months if Perfect is more over... it'll probably be a different story.</p>

  21. So I'm about to turn Jack Bruce heel. The elements for the storyline have been running for a while. Bruce won the Royal Rumble event in May to cement his main event match vs Remo at SC36. Bruce wins his 7th world title. The EisenPower get to work on taking down the icon. Eric Eisen (having an absolutely bitchin' run, atm), Remo, Marat Khoklov, Hellion & Primus Allen all want to take our Bruce, with Emma Chase leading them. Bruce holds on to the title for a few PPV's and then, to a complete shock, challenges Angry Gilmore to a throwaway match on Supreme for the IC Title and wins. Vacates the belt the next week. Claims he doesn't need both titles, he just wanted to show he could do it. Bruce loses the World Title in a fatal 4 way at Halloween Havoc PPV to Eric Eisen. In a space of a few weeks, Bruce has gone from holding 2 titles to holding none and maybe he's not as invincible as he thought. Supreme following PPV, Khoklov decimates Bruce in an angle and then obliterates a debuting Champagne Lover. Lover is the new rockstar and next figurehead of the company. Bruce isn't in decline but he feels that maybe he can't get it done anymore... So, apologies for the huge preface, but how do you book a heel Jack Bruce? In your own game or ideas for a help in mine?

  23. <p>Honestly, lads (and possible ladies), the work you all do is phenomenal! </p><p> Has fully made me love the C-Verse more and be more engaged in my current SWF save. </p><p> </p><p> The roster is littered with all these new re-rendered pictures.</p><p> </p><p> I appreciate ShipShirt linking to his imgur page for access to all the creations. Would it be possible for the other content creators to do similar? Simply out of pure greed I want to see all the work and use them in my saves. </p><p> Were there any saved before the great Photobucket crash?</p><p> </p><p> Appreciate all the work, troops. You probably already know, but it certainly doesn't go unnoticed or unnappreciated.</p><p> </p><p> P.S. Has anyone ever created a re-render for a dastardly, heel-ish, Greg Gauge? I currently have him in a Legacy stable as Gregory Gauge with Hollywood Starr & Jay Chord, managed by Sam Keith, but his default picture looks meh compared to the two rerenders of Starr & Chord. Anyone seen one about?</p>
  24. <p>Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls;- I'm here with the round-up of the year 2002 in GAMMA and all the events and talking points to go with it. Let's take it division by division and see what happened in a huge year in the biggest MMA Company in the world.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Super Heavyweight:</span></strong></p><p> George Pickering started the year off as Champion and successfully defended the belt vs Hanley Polter at GAMMA Battle Lines: 6 Garner vs Napier. 6 months later Pickering went into his second defence as the overwhelming favourite vs Gary Sampson. Sampson, however, laughed at the prospect of being the underdog and defeated Pickering via TKO in Round 1 to become the new Super Heavyweight Champion.</p><p> John James McInleen continued his rise through the rankings with his undefeated streak still intact, currently sitting at 6-0. A 1st round Submission of Joe Snettisham in March was followed up with with a 3rd round Submission victory over Hanley Polter in October in a Fight Of The Year candidate. Not much else of note in this division but Sampson vs McInleen looks a dead cert for the title in 2003.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Heavyweight:</span></strong></p><p> The Heavyweight division went through a great upheaval at GAMMA 50 as Rav Kapur KO'd the legend James Foster in the 3rd round of their title match to become the new Heavyweight champion. Tim Boyer was next in line at GAMMA 54 but was KO'd by a brutal head kick after only 64 seconds of the first round. These 2 monumental KO's plus the big Hype train GAMMA has going on for the Brit led to him being voted as Blurcat's Fighter of the Year. Foster spent 9 months on the sidelines recuperating from his loss before bouncing back with a 1st round submission victory over Tony McCall. Foster used the post-fight interview to call out Kapur for his rematch which Kapur accepted via Social Media.</p><p> Aleksander Ivanov has come into GAMMA on the back of some major hype and has so far lived up to it. Defeating Kirk Purchase, Tank Manu'a and Gladstone Lopes in his first year all via Submission or KO has placed him at #3 in the rankings and he could be set up to face Foster for the right to fight Kapur for the World Title.</p><p> Pai Cheng arrived in the division and has won his first 2 fights via 1st round KO so far. 'The Viking' Lars Gunnar Ekberg is a likely future Heavyweight Champion as he's made a big impact. Gaby Corrales and Sam Hoynes both fell in the first round of their respective matches as the Swede crushed them. </p><p> Finally, at 38 years old, newcomer Leon Pyle may be the oldest and most well known of the Heavyweights reaching International level in the US and disposing of Kirk Purchase and Duke Aiona in his first 2 bouts.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Light Heavyweight:</span></strong></p><p> Herringbone beat Rubenstein, John beat Herringbone and then Watson beat John. That was the lineage of the belt of late with no-one managing a successful defence. Rubenstein was the challenger for Watson's first defence and he KO'd the champ with 1 second left of the 1st round. Rubenstein became a 2-time champ and then became the first champion, since his first run with the belt, to successfully defend it. Anthony LeToussier had a successful stint as a coach on COTT Season 3, opposite Bryan Van De Huew, with 3 of his team making the final 4 and 2 of them contesting the final. He then called out Rubenstein for his 3rd match in 4 years against the champion. Rubenstein accepted and KO'd LeToussier in Round 2 to beat him for the 3rd time and successfully defend his belt. He stands tall at the top of the division and it may difficult to move him. Niko Soldo came into the division heavily touted and submitted Pedro Sousa in his first match but, when it came to the #1 contender's bout, he was KO'd after only 51 seconds against Mike Watson to bring his momentum to a halt.</p><p> Toby Sorkin sits at 4-0 and looks a good challenger to the crown but Rubenstein won't be easily moved.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Middleweight:</span></strong></p><p> For 6 years, Matthew Dean has reigned at the top of this weight class and that's still true as we head into 2003. Successful defences vs Braulio Moura and Tora Mizwar drew money and cemented his status as the undispusted, #1 pound for pound fighter in the world. Adam White upped his record to 6-0, toppling Buddy Garner and is the next challenger to the Dean legacy. He could provide an upset, but I wouldn't bet your house on it. Very little else of note in this division. Ramon da Silva Ramos conquered Fierstein, Alleyne and Darling to bring his record to 4-0 as he slowly climbs the ranks and, at only 25 years old, time is on the kids side to continue his slow climb.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Welterweight:</span></strong></p><p> Much like the Light Heavyweight division, this belt has been hot-potatoe'd around. Brubaker defeated Reguerio. Gallego defeated Brubaker. Regueiro defeated Gallego. Then at GAMMA 51, Manuel Silva become the new Welterweight Champion KO'ing Regueiro inside 2 minutes of Round 1. Silva has the talent and skill to make this belt his own but it's a competitive division. Darin Blood piled on the miser for Reguerio defeating the former 2 time champ by TKO at GAMMA Battle Lines 9. Reguerio started the year as champion at 9-1 and is now 9-3. The rest of the division has remained fairly static with very little of note happening.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Lightweight:</span></strong></p><p> Jake Keane successfully retained in his only defence of the year vs Truck Gleeson at GAMMA 57 in October. Lermentov was the original challenger but withdrew through injury. The Russian defeated Bruce Steven via TKO in his only bout of the year. He is due to fight Brandon Sugar at Battle Lines 10 in his next fight in a few weeks. This will be Sugar's first fight since his humbling KO at the hands of Helio after only 35 seconds of the first round in their bout. Keane talked a lot of trash in the run-up to the fight and was promptly put back into his place.</p><p> Lukas Mellberg debuted in winning fashion in a Fight of the Year candidate vs Nicholas Bretton. He followed that up by engaging in a fiery war of words with Helio. Both men gave as good as they got in the run-up to the fight but, on the night, Helio once again put down his opponent and claims he's the rightful challenger to Keane's belt but I expect Lermentov will disagree.</p><p> Sean Morrison has bounced back from a poor 2001 by winning his 2 fights in 2002 to put him back in the hunt for the title. Seth O'Breen was his first opponent, winning via UD. He followed that up with a cagey split decision victory over Luis Basora. The veteran knows how to win ugly.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Featherweight:</span></strong></p><p> Finally, the newest division/weight class in GAMMA. ALPHA-1 and GAMMA engaged in heated talks with some of the best Featherweights in the world as they both opened divisions. GAMMA Battle Lines 8 was the event that hosted the first ever Featherweight Tournament in GAMMA. Snorri Gunnarson came in as the heavy favourite for the one-night tournament but was promptly eliminated in the first round of his first fight by 21 year old Olympian, William Puder. Puder made it to the final where he lost to Frank Romita and Romita was crowned the first ever Featherweight Champion. The division is very new so check back in a year and we'll see where they're at.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tour The Company 2002:</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="PGclMd6.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PGclMd6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tour The Company 2003:</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="zIJAk8c.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zIJAk8c.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Apologies for the lengthy update but that's What's Going On. Enjoying reading everyone else's.</p>
