<p>About 7 months into a slightly modified TCW game. I'm nearing the end of a very hot storyline where Troy Tornado and RDJ had a feud because Tornado thought RDJ sneak attacked him in a 2-on-1 match against American Buffalo. </p><p> </p><p> Tornado is going into the chase for the Heavyweight title. RDJ is going to drop towards midcard as a gatekeeper. </p><p> </p><p> But I need an idea of what to do with American Buffalo, who's been losing a lot at the end of the storyline? I already have a stable with 2 monster heels. I have an owner goal to raise Giant Tana's pop, and DDD is also super over. I'm considering sending him down to help out in Developmental for a while, but maybe there's a better idea.</p><p> </p><p> Also, if anyone has an idea for another title idea or two and how to set up a storyline for them, that would be helpful - currently have World Heavyweight as top belt, International as UM/Mid belt, Tag Team, and Pure Wrestling for 'shoot' fights where titles go to the 'loser' in case of DQ. I don't really have the roster for a good Hardcore belt. And I'm not sure how I would represent a No Holds Barred or a 24-hour belt in the game.</p>

Having seen the error of his ways, he now feels that the only way he will deserve to hold the belt again is if he turns all of his former allies to the light. He can light a candle each time one of them does something evil, and refuse to use his name, saying that he has taken this new one out of shame.</p>

I'm starting to think Kyle Rhodes is trying to put TCW out of business so he can retire. Some of his ideas of "acceptable" prices are ridiculous. Yes, Kyle, I understand that I want to offer Brandon James twice his current salary. He's SWF's 2nd biggest ME. He'll give us #1 in Nationals and cripple SWF. No, he won't come to us for 22k. I know that's what SWF is offering! We need to BEAT their offer. Fine, I agree that Jay Chord isn't as valuable as RDJ. But he's WOULD be if he stayed with us instead of getting snatched by USPW. AGAIN! You can't fire me, I quit!

In TCW. So, I just split up the Canadian Animals at the last PPV and teamed up Freddie Huggins with Jay Chord, working as muscle for Rich Money. Now Jay Chord is leaving for USPW in 3 weeks - 2 shows and a PPV in the middle. Edd Stone is teamed with Matt Keith as a Face now... I can finish the Chord story nicely, but what do I do with Huggins? Who should I pair him with? I may wind up restarting anyway.... 7 wrestlers stolen in the space of 3 weeks.

Playing TCW and I need a couple ideas for titles. Not enough people for a Hardcore or High Flying division. A 24/7 Title seems really hard to book.

How do I raise the prestige of a belt? It's on my company's figurehead, he won it in a 84 rated match, and it had 4 defences prior to being lost, but it's still only a 74 prestige belt.

<p>USPW lost the national battle for the second month. SWF won, on the back of my War To Settle The Score changing up popularity significantly. I opened a second dojo to test some things. My popularity has not changed in the USA.</p><p> </p><p> In terms of booking - Rocky Golden beat Aaron Andrews & Rich Money in a 3-way title match that will allow me to keep the belt on him for a while, but still allows the trio to stay in the feud.</p><p> </p><p> Meanwhile, Money's started a stable called "Spoiler Alert" which consists of him, Freddy Huggins and Jay Chord. </p><p> Edd Stone refused Freddy's request to join, so during a title match against New Wave, Jay Chord blindsided Edd, Huggins dissolved the Canadian Animals, and Huggins & Chord went on to win the title (with some help from Money, of course.)</p><p> </p><p> And as a going away present for Eddie Peak, who decided to sign wih USPW, I let Matt Keith squash him, so Matt's a midcarder now.</p>

Playing TCW. How do I stop USPW from stealing all my people in bidding wars? They just stole Eddie Peak, and have their eyes on Scout. Kyle keeps refusing to allow me to offer salaries that are within $3k of USPW's offers, and blocks Wage Matching. Not sure how to use my other tools. CC is fine for Scout, but won't be safe for everone. I don't dare offer pushes to eveyone. What else can I try? Also, USPW hasn't put together a show better than 70 this game. Why have they not started dropping out of National?

<p>I'm curious what the expected/common Diary update regularity is. </p><p> </p><p> I'd like to restart a diary idea I tried before on a different site, but last time I tried to do 1 entry a day and crashed when I couldn't keep up the pace. Is posting one show a week frequent enough to keep people satisfied?</p>

<p>Can I play multiplayer if the two people are using different versions of the game? </p><p> So, if I updated to TEW 16, could I play with someone who has TEW13? </p><p> </p><p> I assume I would have to, at least, use the TEW 13 database.</p>

<p>Is there a way to alter match recaps like you can with angles? </p><p> </p><p> I can type whatever I want for the booking screen, but the match recaps still just say "XXX beat XXX". I'd like to be able to have it show "XXX beat XXX when XXX interfered" or "XXX drew due to injury."</p>

<p>I can't decide if it's because I like spontaneity or I'm just bad at this game, but I do very little pre-planning. For me, it's more about documentation. I update storylines & their descriptions after every PPV describing a rough outline of events and motivations. I use stables and short-term tag teams to track why people are together. Etc.</p><p> </p><p> What I have started doing with 2016 is getting much better at angle & match naming, so I can go back to previous shows and remember what actually happened. </p><p> </p><p> I'm curious how people are running 3+ month feuds though. Anyone willing to show me a couple? I rarely get more than 2 months before I either wind up adding some new people or spinning someone out.</p>

We're not rolling in cash, but (except for 1 month where I lost $30k due to alliance borrowing a worker with a scandal, which lost me all my sponsorships) we've managed to stay in the black.</p><p> </p><p> Mainly this means not hiring extra workers until I'm already making more than their salary would cost, not offering guaranteed downsides to anyone who I don't already plan to use every show, using Just In Time production to capitalize on any chance of increased merchandising profit, and any months where I make over $5k, plowing at least half of that back into either Alliance Loaning or Trading in ME's to boost my next show.</p>

<p>I've been rereading some of the TCW - A Quiet Retirement diary to get booking ideas, but what it's actually made me interested in is running a 2008/2010 Cornellverse game. </p><p> </p><p> Is there a way to do this with TEW 2016 that isn't just buying TEW 08/10 and then importing the database? I don't mind doing that if I need to. I just didn't know if there's either mods or something built into it to roll back to earlier years.</p>

Is there a way to export a roster / DB to an Excel spreadsheet? Or is that something I'd have to do manually?

So I'm running a TCW game where Tommy Cornell didn't wind up abandoning the company (I see why Adam moved him, gameplay-wise, but man Tommy, if you'd stayed an extra few minths you'd have been back in #2). Anyway, I'm planning for Rocky to go over Aaron Andrews at the Feb PPV for World Heavyweight. They have horrible chemistry, so I plan to bring in Wolf Hawkins and Troy Tornado to chase the belt. Eventually, my goal is to splinter into a full-blown war between three factions - a Tornado & Vessey stable; a Hawkins & Cornell stable; and Bach, Golden, Taylor and New Wave. My questions are - what do I do with Andrews for the next 6 - 8 months? Preferably, I want him outside the Cornell stable, but still in a position to oust Hawkins as Cornell's protege so I can turn Hawkins face as our new figurehead. And what is a good reason for Tornado to get involved in the belt chase? He's currently a Tag Champ due to a mistake, so tying the losing of the tag belt into chasing the World Heavyweight would be nice.
