What is the best way to have to lessen the gains from this, because a lot of the times the gains in popularity are way more than intended. </p><p> </p><p>
If you put "Protect" on the winner with less popularity, does this decrease the gains in a more predictable way?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p>
If you don't want a big jump in popularity, why are you having the lower card guy go over someone so much more popular?</p><p> </p><p>
If you're sure you want that, you could always make the win not clean. A cheap win (which I believe is usually something like a count out) would do the trick. Tainted doesn't suppress it as much, but is less likely to upset the fans.</p><p> </p><p>
Protect would probably only help in as much as it would lower the match rating.</p>
