  1. I turned the Dirty White Boys into bodyguards for Drake Drama and gave them the stable name Drama Club. I just wanted a stable and that seems fun.
  2. What happens if your company product says no women's wrestling, but you hire a couple of women and book them to wrestle anyway?
  3. Finally got a positive chemistry in September. It's between Chucky Dorrance (who desperately needs a plan) and Lassana Makutsi (who SWF let go and I picked up in August). They have about the same pop, so I should be able to run with this.
  4. Do the e-mails from a worker that says "This other worker is super rad, push him" or "This other worker stinks, cut him loose" or such things actually tell you anything important that you need to know or are they mostly just personality based flavor?
  5. My bad, it is Last Man Standing. I figured since people in this thread have played C-verse for years I might try to preserve whatever it was generally considered to be. Left to my own devices it would probably be a 15 or 20 man traditional battle royal. Although I'm struggling to book the Canadian title so was thinking about putting it on the line. Do you make a tournament title for it or just let it be a match?
  6. I've gone with The Drake Report and changed Drake Young to Drake Drama (with Troublemaker gimmick) because I think that's fun. Is there any C-verse cannon to Survival of the Fittest? The AI instructions say hold a battle royal, but I'm wondering if there's a standard. Giant Royal Rumble style thing? Is it for a title shot? Is it for nothing in particular?
  7. Anybody think it's worth moving title bout wrestling from Maple Leaf (Med coverage across Canada) to Channel Six (Small across Canada and Very Small across UK)? I would expect an income loss in the short term but I could see the pop gains in Britain making a big difference in the long term.
  8. For the exact same video, six kinda sounds perfect, if not too many. In the game mechanically, it really doesn't matter.
  9. When you finish the show the screen usually has notes on penalties (same screen that says things like "This show increased our popularity in X regions") that are bringing the overall grade down. It'll tell you if it's production issues, overusing certain workers, etc. I've never failed to deliver storyline content or a demanded match type, but I assume those would end up as rather large penalties in that space as well.

I'd never thought about using really pointed event names. I guess another similar example would be some of those WWF In Your House shows where they were sometimes named directly after people.</p><p> </p><p> How would that work with an annual event? Could you change the name of just the single iteration?</p>

I'm saying I don't see when that would be a helpful thing (and maybe don't understand what that means). Is it for when you have multiple events in one day?</p>

What are some things people are looking forward to doing that are facilitated by this change?</p>
  13. I was thinking a talk show segment would make sense for CGC. Do they canonically have someone who does/did one? If not, who do people think would be a good candidate? I was thinking maybe Drake or one of the managers (Faith or Jenny Playmate).
  14. The penalty isn't very big. Definitely not big enough to build your whole game around. I definitely understand the tendency to power game, but never understood why people fixate on this particular bit so much. Even for NJPW I think the penalty was pretty realistic. Face vs Face is doable but takes ever so slightly more careful build to get the same rating because a bit of the shortcut provided by dispositions. This seems like a change that improves two major things: Power gaming (which, sure) "Historical" scenarios where you can ratchet up the divide to represent how much more anathema Face vs Face matchups used to be
  15. The understanding I got from this board in the past was full capacity for improvements requires 7 minutes, but less still allows smaller gains.
  16. Almost 7 months into the game and I have done a fair amount of tinkering between pre-shows and house shows trying to find tag teams. I've apparently rolled a game with almost no chemistry notes whatsoever. I have about 3 or 4 negative notes (most of which wren't pairings I was considering anyway) and exactly 1 positive chemistry note, which was for Sayeed Ali with Connor Threepwood, who has a high experience tag paring already so I'm not likely to use that as a team any time soon (got it when they were the only two left after I'd put in a bunch of house show notes.
  17. It's been discussed on the board before, but I think you're conflating gimmicks and alter egos.
  18. I don't even modify the file and I find the gimmick file tedious. It's a lot of filtering for almost no reason. I think that possible change sounds like a lot of fun.
  19. What actually happens mechanically when you have multiple shows (specifically a TV show and a PPV) on the same day. I had it happen once and noticed a much higher attendance for the TV show than normal (matched the PPV) and that I was locked into the same location. Did this actually boost the income for that TV episode? Or is it treated as if fans bought tickets to the combined event?
  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Hashasheen" data-cite="Hashasheen" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41392" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>That's part of my struggle, because I hate just booking someone on the show for just an angle, especially if I'm using a lot of PPAs and I'm trying to balance costs vs. demand. <p> </p><p> I was typically stuck between wanting the champion and his title to cast a shadow over everything else in the promotion and wanting to use him sparingly and create an allure.</p><p> </p><p> Now I usually (in Cults) using him as a double commentator-road agent, so that he's both the locker-room leader (of sorts) to the boys in the back and also to the fans on stage.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> When you're champion is Jack Decolt at age 38+, using him sparingly makes loads of sense and I was sticking to 1 singles match and maybe a tag of some sort a month on TV just to remind people of how much they want to see him. I think having him wrestle never on TV at all doesn't make much sense because why would people buy the PPV if they haven't ever seen what the main attraction has to offer.</p><p> </p><p> But if the title switches over to someone like Ricky or Christian Price who is 31 years old, I definitely want them to have more regular work for skill purposes and to establish their importance during the first few months of their title reign.</p>
  21. NOTBPW fell to Cult just as Cameron Vessey hit his final contract month and I was able to outbid them. I think the price ended up being pretty reasonable for a guy who's going to immediately be about tied for the third most popular member of my roster.
  22. Does anything happen when you remove a figurehead? Is there a temporary penalty to the company (besides no longer gaining whatever bonus it was providing) or to the worker?
  23. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="DAVEFAN95" data-cite="DAVEFAN95" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41392" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Wow, Jack still rocking it post 40th birthday, that's pretty cool. <p> </p><p> I have to say I'm alright with Jack being as over as he is as well, though I'm only in July of 2016. I tend to not have my World champ wrestle on TV so there's a lot of Price, Dunn and Ricky main-eventing against guys like ADV, DuBois, Poison, DaLay and Garg and they've been giving me good results (Price and Dan especially with their excellent chem they can easily get a C+ without any issue and on good night get well into the B- range which is a fine main event for TV for CGC in 2016. Funnily enough, my two best matches are Jack and Ricky v Cirque du Sublime due Jack's overness, excellent chem for CdS and Tag experience for the DeColts. Another thing is my backstage is at like 56% meaning if I could prop that up, it would be even better.) </p><p> </p><p> The big thing right now is building up the heel side. I have Ricky, Price and Dunn on the face side of things so thats grand, but the heel side needs to be built up. Yes, I have Garg and Seeker for the next few years but ADV (Now at MW), Zeus and Golden can all be good heels, plus I still have DuBoisas well so, I'm pretty happy with the future of CGC as long as they can get over.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'm having Ricky turn on Jack at Day 2 of WrestleFest (2016, first game year). The plan is to make that the money feud for a while and count on their relationship to allow title changes where necessary.</p>
  24. That's definitely something I'm trying hard to manage. He might drop it to Ricky though.
