  1. I started a game looking for a different challenge (Usually do pretty user-friendly Regional groups) and picked booker of CGC. After a few shows I'm having trouble keeping a high enough grade to boost popularity, but I think I just need to get used to the style. Does Alex ever let you (is there a respect cutoff) change the product settings? A couple small tweaks could really open things up like moving Modern up to medium and starting a Women's division. Between Blockbuster and Prometheus, which giant usually performs better over time? I think I want to get rid of one. Blockbuster has the advantage with me since he is more popular, a current champ, and allowed to wrestle on TV.
  2. I really think selling is always going to be the right answer here. Overness will still have an impact anyway unless you're running heavy performance over pop. And if that's the case, what are you even doing having jobber squashes. As for the segment rating, if the monster is over enough that the jobbers bring down the segment far enough to stop him from gaining popularity, then those aren't the right segments to be putting him in. It was beneficial to see Brawn crush Ellsworth when we still didn't really know him too well. If he did that tomorrow, it wouldn't boost him at all.

Exclusive PPA means that if he wants to work for someone else he has to leave your company.</p>
  4. My understanding of Commercial versus Subscription game mechanic wise is Sub has more money potential and Comm has more popularity potential. There might be slightly different requirements to realize those gains. The most realistic for WWE Network is subscription because that's literally what it is. Having it as a commercial network would be like if WWE network were something you could just flip through on cable (like USA), which probably wouldn't fly real well with there actual commercial TV deals. And frankly, making a new commercial broadcaster isn't particularly realistic in real life for anyone that isn't already a telecommunications company (think Comcast, GE, other major networks) since you have to have enough money/pull to actually get cable providers to offer it.
  5. <p>5SSW hit cult in Feb 19, which did wild things to the pool of women available for PPA deals. They hired people from all over, including most of CILL's women's division. They took 3 from me. Nobody essential, but they did break up my tag champs by taking Talia Quinzel, so I had to bump up their title drop by 2 weeks. The other two were Kinuye Musashibo (also breaking up a tag team) and Estrella Blanca (who I had planned for Trios championships with Electric Blue).</p><p> </p><p> On the bright side, NOTBPW let Brooke Tyler leave so she'll join me for at least a while once her contract ends.</p>

I want to play a fantasy-ish playthrough. I hate removing all contracts and seeing Brock Lesnar and Mark Callaway unemployed. I have over 150+ promotions and non of them want the Undertaker??? sounds bizarre to me <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I assume they dont hire them and others like them due to age. I REALLY dont want to edit the nearly 5k active workers manually. just to lower their ages by 8 years</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'm confused by what you're trying to do, but starting ages is something you would generally handle by changing the start date of the game.</p>
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="shadowmaster" data-cite="shadowmaster" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Is their anyway for a manger, commentator, etc to get into the Hall of Immortals or Fed HOF without manually putting them in yourself? Also can you manually add someone to the Hall of Immortals? 8. <p>USPW came calling for a few Main Eventers. I think it's over since they haven't made a new offer for over 3 weeks. If so, I'm pretty happy with it.</p><p> </p><p> Tiffany Jade - I had hired her after USPW let her go, but I didn't really ever have a plan. Her pop and age made it ridiculous to not bring her in, but her pop being so much higher than most of my roster didn't allow much in the way of elevating feuds for the rest of the roster. I was basically using her as a special attraction, but also had Raven and Melody doing that better. I'm kind of glad they took her.</p><p> </p><p> Raven Nightfall - This one isn't that bad, although I really like her. I had her leading a stable with Tex-Mex as her lackeys and booking her largely like the Undertaker. Since she was feuding with Melody anyway, I Melody go heel and take over as leader with Tex-Mex turning on Raven. The big loss is that she had two proteges, although I hadn't seen much interaction since she took them on.</p><p> </p><p> Zoe Anmis - This one hurts a bit. She was really my third real top worker behind the Rojo/Hernandez feud. Not essential to my plans since she's only adjacent to the world title picture right now, but I was hoping to have her for a long time still.</p><p> </p><p> Ultimately, my roster was a little bloated and this frees things up creatively for things like Pamela Rojo actually being the top face that I've been booking her as and a Main Event push for Kate Lilly who I kept on as a solo act after a several month stint of Lilly & Rose challenging in the Tag and Trios titles (Signed largely because I was really low on Face tag teams after the NOTBPW raid).</p>

My top stars can not fight more than 14 minutes without receiving penalty and pushing them to the limit does not seem to cause any improvement.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Main way is to keep giving them longer matches but it takes time. I think you can get a quick boost by dropping a weight class as well.</p>
  10. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Dave E Mac" data-cite="Dave E Mac" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I believe so, but its a slow process.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I've found it most useful for getting rookies up to the company minimum popularity, since that happens pretty quickly just by being seen. Your attendance+TV ratings need to be pretty high to really get much pop boost from your main event.</p>
  11. I believe I got Raven right after Crowning the Queen year 2 and Gorgon several months later. I believe there's either an age or experience limit on proteges.
  12. Nope. Raven picked up a couple of auto-gens and Gorgon didn't take on anyone.
  13. <p>I'm right before my 3rd Crowning the Queen (literally the day of the event). I can't touch the game again until this weekend, but figured I would reflect on what's gone well and what's disappointed in about 2 and a half years with QAW.</p><p> </p><p> Highlights</p><p> </p><p> Juana Huracan - She really stepped up after NOTBPW reaped 4 of my 5 Main Eventers. Her entertainment skills got just good enough to make a World title feud with Raquel work and has held that title for quite a while now. She's probably hit her ceiling and will lose the title soon, but I consider her a never release.</p><p> </p><p> Pamela Rojo / Hellcat Hernandez feud - Splitting these two up took a while to pay off, but I have them set to main event the tournament. I think their feud can continue and be the focus of the company for the better part of the next year.</p><p> </p><p> Kaede / Kinuye / Easter - The three people I signed from NOTBPW have great skills and are about to be the first ever QAW Trios champions.</p><p> </p><p> Raven Nightfall - She's fantastic and has elevated the roster in both skills and popularity. I keep her out of the title picture since she's so far above everyone else in popularity.</p><p> </p><p> Disappointments</p><p> </p><p> Emma May - I was really excited about her when I first looked at the roster. I had her replace Toni as Juana's partner pretty early and was expecting big things. The brawling and flying skills haven't grown enough to fit the product. Maybe once the World title is off of Juana they can settle into the tag scene again.</p><p> </p><p> Gorgon - Brought her in with Gatekeeper role because her population wasn't high enough to be on the same plane as Raven, but since her D popularity is in almost every region, she still isn't willing to lose to my regulars with D/D- but only in Mid South. I could have used Menace angle to pump her up as a feature, but that isn't what I wanted.</p><p> </p><p> Alina America - The skills just didn't grow. Both times I stuck her in Steal the Show matches she hurt somebody. I haven't tried in a while but I don't see anything that indicates she can really help our show grades.</p>

  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="James Casey" data-cite="James Casey" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I don’t have the game in front of me to check this so it’s a very small question: If I was to book a six man match, could I put non six-man titles on the line in it? Could the teams compete for a tag and singles title? I assume the andwer is no, but it would make a cool match if it could work.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'm pretty sure you can do singles titles, although I believe the reason I never do it is because the rules are a little screwy (like if the champion's teammate gets the fall they win the title). Someone who has actually done it should validate this though.</p><p> </p><p> I don't think tag titles work.</p>
  16. Another piece of self-imposed role-playing, I've decided to be really careful with booking any USPW and NOTBPW castoffs. NOTBPW tend to have pretty low pop in the USA, so they are ending up in midcard anyway, so it's more of a concern with people from USPW. While their popularity is often already higher than the QAW originals, I'm trying to use them more as special attractions outside the title picture. It just feels overly gamey (and overly late 2000s TNA) to bring in outside workers and immediately make the company revolve around them.
  17. <p>Well, Juana Huracan is now my top babyface and dual champion after winning a unification match against Raquel Alvarado.</p><p> </p><p> I split Hellcat and Rojo to infuse some talent into the upper card singles scene, although a major concussion to Lily Snyder (>1 year out of action) leaves me needing to turn a tag team (Uprising or Tex-Mex) to balance things back out.</p><p> </p><p> Tiffany Jade is available (and already doing work for AAA). I think I'm going to wait until closer to Crowning the Queen (I'm in January 2018 now) to bring her in though.</p>
  18. Damn, they're taking Danielle and Foxxy too. I'm about to be fresh out of Main Event babyfaces real quick.
  19. <p>September 2017 and things are going well. I added Zoe Anmis with the intention of building her up as my next big heel and I snagged Raven Nightfall as a special attraction.</p><p> </p><p> Unfortunately, I'm being raided by NOTBPW after they just let a few key women go. They got the following from me.</p><p> </p><ul><li>Thea Davis - I had her up to D popularity, which is higher than everyone but Danielle (and Raven), and was planning a World title run<br /></li><li>Nina Cacace - It was weird they let her go anyway so I guess this is fine<br /></li><li>Jillian Jarvis - Still in my Main Event scene although I had shifted focus from her after the long title reign finally ended<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> I guess I'll pick up Lauren Easter, who was one of their expirations.</p>

She has simmering tension with 3 members of her brand</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That'll do it. Either get her away from some/all of those 3 people or meddle her into some friendships on her brand.</p>

There are exceptions, and having the odd stacked show is no bad thing, but you can definitely spread things around a bit.<p> </p><p> And as LloydCross notes, running weekly shows in your home region is pretty much essential for growth once you hit regional. Showcase your best workers to help them gain in popularity/talent to get the best ratings in the main event, and your popularity will quickly rise up.</p><p> </p><p> I wouldn't try it at Small/Local as the money's just not there unless you have a large bank roll, but once you hit Regional, and if you have a product that's favourable towards sponsorship, you can go to weekly shows and really put your foot down.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Are you sure about every second show for events? It's definitely true for TV shows. Maybe weekly events work the same way, but since biweekly isn't actually a setting in the game you pretty much have to make it two offset monthly events and for that I'm definitely seeing them get upset if I don't use them once.</p>

I know that the 4C product doesn't need storylines, but I want to develop some to help with better booking so that I'm not just always randomly throwing things together. <p> </p><p> As my 4C dynasty is more of my get better at the game dynasty and my WWF dynasty is more of a play around dynasty, I'm giving 4C a little more focus.</p><p> </p><p> With no tv contract happening anytime soon, I'm thinking about instead of a 2 hour event once a month, doing a 1 hour event weekly, or a 1.5 hour event bi-weekly. What can the more expert players see as advantages/disadvantages to those options? Thanks.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Not exactly an expert but for having more, shorter events what I've seen is.</p><p> </p><p> Pros:</p><p> </p><ul><li>More income if your shows have good crowd sizes and limited additional costs if you're production values are monthly costs.<br /></li><li>More exposure for people used at events<br /></li><li>Faster growth as a company<br /></li><li>Shorter = Don't need as many people to fill up a card<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> Cons:</p><p> </p><ul><li>You can gush cash if your shows aren't profitable<br /></li><li>Multiplies any per show production costs<br /></li><li>Main Eventers expect to be on every event, so you might have trouble using others as much as you want, especially with 1 hour shows<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> You almost have to have more shows eventually at some point to grow, but make sure it isn't going to burn all your cash reserves first.</p>
  23. NOTBPW let Nina Cacace go and after several months I noticed and picked her up. She's got awesome psychology and mic skills so I expect that to go well. I'm still working on building her up though since her Mid South popularity was barely an E-.

Just block off your matches. Typically I'll have good matches to start, then a block of "bad" matches (define "bad" any way you want), then maybe I'll put alternate between good and bad, then bad, then good and good to close. I've also found that putting some hype packages to buffer before the main event matches helps a lot. Make them 5 minute plus.<p> </p><p> As long as you get some sort of understanding about Crowd Management, it's pretty lenient, and you could do a lot of different stuff. All you have to do is just recognize patterns, really. Pretty easy stuff.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Usually a regular or storytelling is enough to keep burnout from happening after a match that gets the crowd buzzing. That said, I've not done too much with really long shows, so maybe it works differently if you do it multiple times. Comedy and Eye Candy seem to completely reset the crowd, so that can split the show into two halves.</p>

I think it's only worth putting in as a safety if you have a segment that you think is a risk to be disastrous. I don't think it can ever make your rating better if everything is fine.</p><p> </p><p> Work I understand less. I think it is for when you have to book a match with two workers that suck and want to prevent it from killing the crowd. It may also save stamina.</p>
