The time I got it was the first time I ever actually used Open match (I kind of assumed it was the default).

 2.
Finally got back into my QAW game a few days ago and played the end of 2016 into April 2017. Still at regional running two monthly events with an additional quarterly (actually 4 yearly events spread out) event as a stand-in for a PPV. To my surprise, I managed to get Raquel Alvarado over to Main Event level popularity (still no luck with Alina) and put the title on her at the April special event to hopefully cement her at that level. I had protected Danielle well to that point so she should be able to bounce back quickly.

New signings in that span (besides several unknown jobbers)

JMB - I only used her for a month to build some momentum in my midcard. Her In Ring stats are pretty awful so her grades were always low.

Selina Svelte & Talia Quinzel (The Uprising) - My first signing of someone from the AAA roster. I brought them in as heels in December and rocketed them to the top of the tag division taking the title from The Anti-Establishment in April. Only concern is that despite the similar popularity and stats, the game thinks Selina should be at Midcarder and Talia at Main Event, which might get weird.

 3. What drives the match bonus in the dirtsheet for "being well-booked"?

Stables don't affect storylines, to the best of my knowledge, but they do make match names look better when you autofill!

I believe they build experience on 3 man teams, but not on >= 4 man teams

And getting a TV-deal or event deal probably isn't possible until a few years in.

Edit: Do any of you add a weekly event or two perhaps, on top of that monthly big event?

Frankly, it's hard to grow into Australia (As in East Australia, since the spillover from NZ is only 10%). Australia Options let's you get some minimal popularity gains in the other regions even though the PPV buy numbers will be trivial.

I was doing weekly events and airing them all on PPV and that was the best I could come up with for gaining popularity outside of NZ.

The reason I ask is that without the commentators, video packages and graphics that come with a TV show how are the fans experiencing the angles and following the feuds?

This just depends on whatever trapping you envision on these angles. It's pretty reasonable to not run video angles on the grounds that your promotion doesn't have a screen to show them on.

I know some of the interview segments have descriptions that say they are backstage, but there's no reason they can't just be in the ring. 7.
Hit Regional shortly after my first Crowning the Queen event and am making money as long as I don't book extraneous pre-show matches at my twice monthly events. I come 3 of 5 in a random South West regional battle every month now, which doesn't seem to hurt at all.

I gave the tournament win to Foxxy Larue and now have a strong 3-way feud going for the World Title. I'm struggling to elevate a true 4th Main Eventer though. I figured Alina would rocket up with her Star Quality but she's stuck at E- popularity despite a fourth Shockwave title run and pretty much dominating the midcard. Alexis Lee Littlefeather has seemed a lot more potent for popularity surges, so I might make an effort to really cement her high up on the card.

I see that partial stops on important e-mails and such, but what about Full? Does the the loading ever stop?

And another quick one: What happens if a loaned worker wins a title in your company on his last appearance? I'm guessing the title gets vacated? Or does he still hold the belt, but can't defend it until you loan him again?

I'm pretty sure Full would never stop for anything until it hits the end of the advance period. I believe the only reason to use this would be if you want to control no companies and see what happens with everyone left to fend for themselves.

The worker gets handled as leaving the company, so I'd be astounded if was anything other than vacated. Why would you want to put the title on someone who doesn't work for you?

 9. Working on booking my first Queen tournament. Planning an 8 woman bracket but struggling between trying to build new stars and using the workers with high stamina (so they could actually do 3 matches in a night), who are mostly my main eventers. Already replaced Toni with Emma and am planning a relatively notable heel turn to boost up the Ronin group even further. I brought in Thea Davis, who is one of my favorite workers in the game.
 10. I'm not concerned about it becoming a gameplay issue, but I was trying to roleplay the mindset of the promotion a little bit and what I think a reasonable person in that situation would do.
 11.
I just started a QAW game. I hired Connie Morris and a couple of young prospects (Electric Dreamer and Alisha Breaks). I added a monthly event and am planning for 4 annual events for now. I think that will help not lose money too fast while still getting a good number of shows in. I turned off economy and industry effects because I still haven't played a save long enough to really compete against companies in other regions, where it would feel more significant so I'm going to try not worrying about it this time.

Planning to link up Emma May with Ronin and debating between turning it into a foursome or to have her replace Toni (Was pretty dead set on replacing her until I read this thread actually).

I'm trying to be reasonably realistic here, and am unsure on if I want to hire people under contract with AAA. The synopsis of the company says they are largely avoiding competition with AAA, so a pact to not hire each others' people might make sense, but it would also benefit the workers to let them be in both places.

 12.
What determines the extent to which you as the booker can alter your product settings? In the past I had been able to change it more or less freely (within the min and max levels) except for when a new owner had just taken over and was modifying things. I then didn't play for a while and in my new game if I try to change almost anything, even slightly, I get a message:

<Owner> has blocked your attempted change. He reminds you that this is how he likes his company to be presented, and your job is to run it,

not change it.

I don't see anything under Owner Skill that looks like it determines how rigid they are. Is this related to personality of the owner?

 13. When you have a vocal fan base, is their negative reaction to a wrestler consistent (Like they just will always hate that particular guy) or does it depend on their performance in any given match?
 14.

If I have a face v heel feud and then decide to turn the face and have them partner up vs another group of faces, is it best to end the original storyline and start a new one, or continue the original storyline and just edit in the new participants? Any rewards/punishments for long running storylines?

I'm pretty sure the answer to this is that it doesn't really matter one way or the other. If you do edit then you might get a slight plus/minus to your transition segment depending on how hot the storyline is before you change participants. That factor tends to be extremely small though and generally gets neutralized by any segment that triggers it. The bigger mechanical effect of storylines is to meet product requirements.

In this case I would probably treat this in kayfabe. This sounds more like a continuation so I would probably just edit in the new team and alliances.

So eventually I have like Shawn and Bret really over generally and as major success during the storyline. So would the final match between Shawn and Bret be like undeniably a 100 rated match. Problem with most of them is being contracted to either TNA or ROH. I figured most of my tag teams would have to come from there, the only thing is with a PPA contract, if ROH or TNA had a show the same day I did, I'd be out a tag team and it might screw the show up. Great suggestions though, I'll look into all of them.

Keeping those in mind, anybody have any other suggestions?

Who are you playing as that you're behind ROH and TNA in influence but can still afford to hire 8 established tag teams?

 20. Occasionally you'll get a match note that "X wrestler has a gimmick that is becoming stale". They're gimmick rating will drop steadily over time (I don't know how long it takes). Tweaking the gimmick stops this process, and I believe even allows good performers to start improving at playing their gimmick again/further. In general, when I get that match note I look at their current gimmick rating and momentum and if I'm not ready to give them a new gimmick (Most likely because they have a Good or better rating) just yet, then I use the tweak function.

I'm currently number 2 in Importance and have more prestige and momentum than the number 3 team. Influence seems to be the only thing they're higher in and the mutual PPA guys all work for them.

As far as I know, it has to do with contract length, so contracts up to 3 months (maybe a little more?) are considered tryouts and don't generate the 6 month cooldown. Not sure how it works when you base the contract on the number of appearances

My stupid little question, I'm playing a company that doesn't use faces/heels, which is very liberating when putting matches/teams together as well as when choosing gimmicks. Since I'm doing a dynasty, the portrayal of wrestlers feels like they are either faces or heels anyway, so for realism reasons I'm considering to introduce a face/heel dynamic. My question is how that affects the game mechanics and what the bonuses are to counter-balance the ease of booking/gimmicks that I'm giving up.

No Face/Heel dynamic doesn't mean every wrestler is completely neutral. That would be crazy boring. It just means it's not expected that it be heel vs face in every match/storyline. Lots of guys in places like ROH or NJPW are heels, but they would probably be companies that don't use the divide in TEW since the heels feud with each other all the time.

As for game mechanics, you get to actually make use of the heel and babyface performance ratings for your wrestlers. If you play to strengths in these areas, it becomes much easier to get good gimmick ratings, which adds small bonuses to match ratings and makes it way more likely to pull off a good gimmick change to reset someone's negative momentum. Downside is the face/face and heel/heel match penalties, although those aren't particularly large penalties anyway.
