  1. So we can take a look at my NYCW game for a reference. I am small sized and I have a merchandise rating of 6. I have 8 Major Stars and 5 Stars and only 1 of my major stars and w of my stars sell merchandise. Looking at my sellers: Danny Fonazarelli averages 58 with a 57 in tri-state Dean Daniels averages 34 with a 34 in tri-state Fro Sure averages 32 with a 35 in tri-state So why would two stars make more than my other 7 major stars: Andrew Harper has a 38 in tri-state but only averages a 14 across the US Animal Harker has a 39 tri-state but averages a 20 in the US My champ Tennessee William has a 46 Tri-State but only averages but only averages a 23. Connor Threepwood has my highest average 29 with a 44 in Tri-State So I'll go as far to say you need at least an average of 30 across your home country to be able to sell merch. At least at merch 5 and small size.
  2. There is already a huge thread of discussion of the best company in 2020 EMLL, which you can find <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=545651&highlight=EMLL" rel="external nofollow">Here</a>
  3. I'm about to go for it. But I put two years worth of profit into the bank first. I've got 300+k sitting around and I think I can take a hit if the production costs a bit. I'm making about 17k a month before the upgrades so we'll see. At this point though I need to be on TV to grow.
  4. They super kicked Tony Schivone on TV. And they have worn their Christian AF T-Shirt on dynamite that's how I've seen it. I don't watch BTE so everything I've seen has been on Dynamite.
  5. They've more recently been talking about their faith as Christians. Even some of their merch has reference to it nowadays they have a shirt that says "Christian AF". I wouldn't say their gimmick is degenerates but rebels I can definitely see. Pushing their book they're running with the whole idea of we did it our way, not the corporate way that some people made themselves famous with. And honestly I've never seen them as white meat babyfaces. Even when they have bee babyfaces they have a tendecy to cheat a bit. And they just ran that whole gimmick where they were pissed at the world and super kicking staff and getting fined for it. On top of that not caring that they were getting fined because they had more than enough money to cover super kicking whoever they wanted.
  6. Back to Gang Wars 2021. In 2020 I turned it into a 6 man tournament Last Years Teams included Big Damn Heroes (Masked Stranger, Freedom Ealge, and Hawkeye Calhoun) Team Erie (Riley McManus, Conner O'Connor [Conner Threepwood], and Liam MacRory [Crockett Tubbs]) The DiMeo Family (Machine Gun Marion, Luca Sacramoni, and Vito Pirelli) Powerhouse (Andrew Harper, Howlin' Mad Mort, and Whitehouse Whittaker) Team MAW (The Architect, Sean Noggin, and Sione Tokoeka) The Council Of Decay [aka Team OLLIE] (Hijo Del Mephisto, Hellspawn 666, and Slayyer) Team CZCW (Frankie Perez, Marvel Malloy, and Storm Spillaine) Team IPW (Hustle Muvva, Lil' Henry, and Fiasco Fierce) The finals were Team Eire and Team MAW with Team Eire taking the win This year we're gonna see Monster Inc (Dreadnought, Original Sinner, and Super Massive Destroyer) Team Erie (Riley McManus, Conner O'Connor [Conner Threepwood], and Liam MacRory [Crockett Tubbs]) The DiMeo Family (Machine Gun Marion, Luca Sacramoni, and Sal DiMeo) Powerhouse (Andrew Harper, Howlin' Mad Mort, and Whitehouse Whittaker) Team MAW (Miler Fford, Nate DeMarcus, and Tyrone Gray) The Council Of Decay [aka Team OLLIE] (Hijo Del Mephisto, Hellspawn 666, and Slayyer) Kings Of The Coast [Team CZCW] (Frankie Perez, Masked Cougar, and Pablo Rodriguez) The Low Lives [aka Team IPW] (Aldous Blackfriar, Babau and Moroi) I'm, excited but I still haven't decided on a winner yet.

  8. What are people doing with Gang Wars. I know it says all 3 vs 3 matches for the AI. But I'm thinking of doing Gang Wars as a tournament. 4 teams from in NYCW and a team for each of the 4 promotions in the COTT Alliance (MAW, IPW, CZCW, OLLIE). Is this something anyone else has done?
  9. So I started a NYCW game and I'm four months in. Doing ok. Not really sure what I want to do yet so just running with the base roster and storylines. But here are some thoughts - Bring in Herb Stately who used to manage some of the Monsters in NYCW like Land Mass. He'll start managing Super Massive Destroyer and maybe I'll bring in Dreadnought possibly a third monster we'll see. - I really, really like The Hot Taggs and I think they would fit NYCW well so I might bring them in. - Both Samoan teams (Samoan Destruction Inc. and Samoan Wildboyz) are available. Some good veteran teams to face the youngsters might be a good idea. - Crockett Tubbs seems like he's going no where on his own in general. Thinking of Bringing Connor Threepwood in to reform The Fighting Irish. On the bad side. I just ran King of New York. Set up the battle royal and everything, it got a respectable 45.... I forgot to but the title on the line
  10. I have learned one thing doing local to global and Road to Glory games in 2020. Free shows, run free shows. Your growth is based on how many people go to your shows. If you make your shows free more people show up. You are going to lose money anyway so do free shows. As you get more popularity you will gain more sponsorship money, your ticket money won't matter. Also on show a month. In 2016 you could spam shows and grow quickly. in 2020 your growth is limited by your size. At the smallest levels you can only gain 1 or 2 pop a month and you can do that in one show.
  11. I tend to only hire young wrestlers, under 29. I generally tend to hire under middleweights. And tag teams. everyone is in a tag team regardless of place on roster.
  12. Since this is a thread about diaries I'll just add another question to mix. Where are people hosting photos now a days. When I was writing more Photobucket was still a thing but now I know its not an option.
  13. I honestly never hire anyone who starts out with a negative backstage presence. I don't care how good they are in the ring. So yeah fire some of your locker room cancers and hire people who will make it a better atmosphere.
  14. The only number I care about is what you're producing in a match. So in every match I look at what each worker is contributing and I keep an average of their last 10 matches. I then push whoever is putting on the best matches.
  15. C-Verse all day every day. C-Verse is the only database that is perfectly balanced for the game. Any outside databases, including ones I actually do like, like Thunderverse and C-Verse 97 -don't always balance to the game. Real world databases are especially bad as some don't understand the mechanics at all, and others are made with the implicit bias of the creator. You may thing Daniel Bryan has a technical of 98 while the creator puts him at an 86. And the numbers tend to be bloated and makes the game often way to easy. Guys on the indy scene - some of whom I really know and are great - should not be pulling 90+ rated matches, from the get go. Now real world mods can be fun if you really just want to fantasy book and don't care about numbers. But for me even beyond the numbers I find real world mods creatively stagnating. I don't read any real world dynasties because most of them can't get past the characters as they exist. Taker will always be Taker, Byran will always be Bryan, Punk will always be Punk. And there is zero change to character except, let me just push this guy I think WWE dropped the ball on. With a fantasy mod especially c-verse every persons take is gonna be different. How you run Sycthe as a character will be different than how I do, and how a third guy does. He'll how I run Sythe in one save my be different than how I run him in another. And most people just can't do that in real world mods.
  16. To be honest. I leave everything on. I like the challenge.
  17. I played TEW 2004. And I was on the .400 studios message boards when I played.
  18. June of 2005. I'm pretty sure I owned the 2005 version of the game right when it came out but I didn't join the boards right away. But yeah geez 15 years.
  19. <p>Delirium vs. <strong>Samael The Accuser</strong></p><p> <strong>Ajax The Skull-Splitter </strong>vs. Dolphin Master</p><p> Captain Lucha vs. <strong>Death's Head</strong></p><p> Boriken Love Machine Jr vs. <strong>El Toro De Oro Jr</strong></p><p> El Bandido Jr vs. <strong>La Estrella</strong></p><p> El Hijo Del Fantasma vs. <strong>Guerrero Muerto</strong></p><p> <strong>Demon King</strong> vs. Snake King</p>
  20. I haven't tried any Japanese companies yet. Although for my road to glory challenge game I'm running an American touring company. Touring schedules are pretty damn easy to book. Figure out your matches of your big show at the end, lots of singles and a few tags there. Then do short shows for th tour shows. A handful of matches mostly multiman matches that include the guys who are gonna be facing off in singles, and a few tag or even singles matches agianst young lions to build momentum. But if you want suggestions for other promotions that are so much fun I'd like to introduce you to EMLL. Getting around the "We only do singles matches" thing can be a little daunting. But the the whole premises of the company is amazing and leaves you so many stories to tell. The multiverse is cracked and creatures from different dimensions have come to do battle in one place EMLL. You have a worshiper of a Snake God (the god who cracked the universe in the first place), A lord of the undead from the Hellmouth. A Demon Lords who is actually just an alternate dimension version of the Undead Lord. A super hero from a world that is all water. And so many others. There is a main title, but the denizens of the multiverse also do battle over three rings of power. The Ring of Chaos, The Ring of Life, and The Ring of Destiny. Nobody knows yet what happens if one man has all three rings. Oh and The Ring of Destiny can be turned in to get a title shot at the main title. If you are looking for fun and/or you're a big fan of Sci-Fi/Fantasy stuff especially dark fantasy then EMLL is the promotion for you. Think Lucha Underground.
  21. This happened in 2016 too. It happened to me all the time. I'd be thinking I'd let a workers contract expire instead of firing him and then bam the owner rehires. The challenge is working around it. So your CEO/Owner likes this guy what would you do in a real life situation where you're owner tells you, oh no this is our guy. Would you then start pushing him.
  22. I still like the old way better. I liked the finer control. But the current system isn't bad. It means I'll pretty much only ever play with Grindhouse Lucha but so be it.

  24. Charron vs. Rey Soldado Mostly cause Charron will actually be a little bitch about losing to him. Trust me I've tried. Aprendiz Jr. vs. El Orgulloso Aprendiz has that fun story going on, on the EMLL MeTube channel. But El Orgulloso is part of a big and important faction. Anarchist vs. El Serpiente The embodied deity continues to grow in power Ajax The Skull-Splitter vs. Jose Flamenco First match, big win over effectively a jobber La Bestia Morada vs. Samael The Accuser This is a tough one but I think you want to keep Samael as a monster Cyclops vs. Guerrero Muerto I actually love Cyclops but he's not on Muerto's level in storyline or in work rate. And there is no reason to have Muerto to take what could be a big overness hit for losing to him.
