The story here is what each team stands to gain if they win, the stakes affecting everyone's performance accordingly. Aces is his usual energetic self, now showing a greater sense of urgency as he's hellbent on earning another shot against his teammate to prove a point. Slick isn't as motivated to get a rematch but he doesn't want to fade into obscurity either, a fact that causes more than one arguments with his partner who thinks Slick isn't giving it his 100%. On the other hand, E-Soteric and Ali don't like each other as well, but they're motivated to earn a shot at the West Coast title and keep one-upping each other as every man looks to score a pin for themselves. What's strange is this attitude seems to work really well for them, leading to a performance that matches the experience of Aces and Slick as a team from bell to bell until the match returns to the ring. With Slick reeling on the floor, E-Soteric goes to the top rope, only for Ali to catch him in a fireman's carry position and give him the Death Valley Driver off the apron onto Slick. This clears the scene for a fired up Ali to turn his attention to Aces and after a brief exchange, reverse the Dead Man's Hand into another Death Valley Driver for the pin.</span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> (Rating: 48)</span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></span><img alt="2Ta72Js.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2Ta72Js.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></span><img alt="0db0c87e80f1cfb07dff6e3854806188.png" data-src="https://fontmeme.com/permalink/211005/0db0c87e80f1cfb07dff6e3854806188.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></span><img alt="c0A4HO1.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/c0A4HO1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="UASJzkA.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/UASJzkA.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> Hustle Muvva makes an entrance, Cindy by his side and the West Coast title on one shoulder as he produces a mic from his pocket to talk.</span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></span><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><strong>Muvva:</strong></span></span><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> "Congratu-f**king-lations, Ali... W3 September 2020 954 Fans 1. Dread Army (FEAR, The Horror and Ragnarok) defeated Okamoto-gun (Dynamite Narahashi, Inejiro Yoshizawa, Noritoshi Miura and Yoshisada Matsuzawa) in 17:44 when Ragnarok pinned Yoshisada Matsuzawa with a Death of the Gods. [61] The upcoming battle for the BCG World Tag Team titles was teased in this eight man tag, with Dread Army and Okamoto-gun clashing to kick off the tour. Both teams put on a good performance to get the fans going and in the end, Ragnarok blasted Matsuzawa for the win. 2. Pillars of Puroresu (Mabuchi Furusawa, SUKI and Tanyu Toshusai) defeated Okamoto-gun (Razan Okamoto and The Diamond Dogs) in 21:21 when Mabuchi Furusawa submitted Jimmy Stratosphere with a Furusawa Armbar. [62] Furusawa sent a message to his challenger in this match when he tapped out Jimmy Stratosphere, but his team had to work hard for more than twenty minutes to get him there. Between teamwork issues that SUKI and Toshusai had given their recent heat as well as an apparent hip injury the latter sustained, it was an uphill battle but one they still managed to win. According to reports, the injury is not something major to sideline Toshusai, but he is expected to now have a lighter schedule in order to save him for the bigger shows. 3. Big Bruiser Findlay and Giant Brody defeated Rokuemon Matsushita and Shuzo Utagawa in 17:41 when Giant Brody pinned Shuzo Utagawa with a Single Handed Choke Slam. [65] Brody and Matsushita for the Challengers Series title is a highly anticipated match, but it was clear that Shuzo Utagawa did not belong in this match. To no one's surprise, Utagawa took most of the beating here as well as the pin, but still got a few outbursts of offence and a chance to showcase his selling as well as his fighting spirit against his larger opponents, somehow managing to look decent even in defeat. 4. Zeshin Makioka defeated Omezo Shikitei in 13:52 by pinfall. This match was part of the BCG National Championship Tournament. [66] Makioka began his course in the tournament off the right foot, hoping to this time make it to the end after coming inches away recently from winning a shot at the Challengers Series title. Shikitei provided a tough challenge that had the match looking like it could end up with either man on top, but ultimately Z-Mak scored the pin to advance and wait to face one half of the Black Iron Corps. 5. Kiyotaka defeated Kadonomaro Kamisaka in 27:58 by submission with a Kimura. This match was part of the BCG National Championship Tournament. [60] Former teammates collided in the main event, Kiyotaka coming in with his confidence boosted after a series of wins over each member of the Seven Samurai last tour. "Serene K" gave him another challenge in the form of a technical bout and the two men dragged this almost to the half hour mark in a dramatic exchange of holds that still had the fans hooked in. Once again though, Kamisaka came up short and did not have an answer for the Kimura, tapping out yet again to send Kiyotaka to the next round. </div>

Dubbed the BCG National championship, the title is meant to fill a gap in the upper half of the promotion's card, above the Challengers Series title and perhaps meant to be used as a secondary main event belt behind the World title. In order to crown the first ever National champion, the company revealed the brackets of a single elimination tournament (see below), highlighting their decision to stick with the name and only have Japanese wrestlers compete for it. ~ Shozo Kawamata was also revealed to no longer be a part of BCG, meaning that the announce desk returns to the familiar two man format as Gonkuro Nakanishi and Naizen Uboshita will be calling the action. Officials clarified that this was a mutual decision and pointed out that Kawamata's year long services will be acknowledged by inducting him into the company's Hall of Fame alongside Kazu Yoshizawa and Pistol Pete Hall. ~ It wasn't all departures however: Animal Harker made his official return declaring he's ready to go and he certainly looked like it, having put on a significant amount of muscle to his frame since he was last seen. According to Harker, working out kept him sane and focused while he was away and he focused on his upper body first with bench presses and curls, then used his rehab routine for the leg to add in squats. ~ Kiyotaka seems to have found a new edge since defecting to Dawnguard, but his seat was filled this month when Motoyuki Miyake was announced as his replacement. The former SAISHO star has showcased the skill as well as the attitude to attract the attention of the group and joining them is expected to be beneficial for his own career as well. Meanwhile, BCG also announced the signing of Kyuichi Matsumoto, who immediately sided with the Dawnguard faction. </div>

Aces High and Cali Slick are also present, apparently in the middle of a heated argument already. Aces: "Word is bond, yo, all I want is another chance. Slick here be down with that" Slick: "You trippin' homie. I beat you ass at Game of Death. I ain't gotta prove nothing, the f**k should I wrestle you again for?" Aces: "You scared, blood?" Grimm: "Shut the hell up, both of you. Slick, I hear ya, but Aces got a point askin' for this match. Now I don't care bout no beef between you two, but hell, Game of Death blew the roof off. There's money in a rematch." Aces: "That's what I'm talkin' bout!" Grimm: "I said shut up, I ain't done talking. I got another lil' situation to deal with after last week's main event, so here's what's gonna happen. Next week, you team up for a match and if you win, I'll give you another one on one." Aces: "Deal! Who we fightin'?" Grimm stares daggers at Aces, pissed at him interrupting once again. Grimm: "I'mma put you in a match against E-Soteric and Frantic Ali. They hate each other's guts too, so it should be a fair fight." Slick: "And if we lose?" Grimm: "Well I ain't got no matches on my show for losers now, do I? You win, you get your match. They win, I'm giving a shot at the West Coast title to whoever man pins yo black asses." (Rating: 54) A remix of LaRue's match from two weeks ago, this time it's Diamond in the ring and Baker on the sidelines, but that doesn't change anything about the quick pace of the match or the fact that it's an all out brawl with little actual wrestling on display. This means the veteran fox has a chance to control most of the match while Diamond doesn't get a chance to deliver any of her usual suplexes, but at least she proves she's no slouch when it comes to stand and bang. Baker's presence outside is enough to create an opening when she smashes Foxxy with a chair and although she pays for it by having it kicked in her face, Baker's sacrifice allows Diamond to make a comeback and bring the fight back into the ring, where she hits LaRue with a trifecta of Belly to Back suplexes before going for the cover, which she manages to hold down for three. (Rating: 37) A panoramic sky shot of the iconic Hollywood sign lowers down into a movie set. La Estrella doing battle with a muscled man in a black mask, apparently the antagonist of the film, on a scaffolding by a burning building. The villain throws a punch, but Estrella ducks under and springs up into a dropkick, knocking the bad guy off the structure and down to his doom. At least in the film, presumably, because the actor in the mask does land on a crash pad below. The director yells cut and praises Estrella for a flawless take. The man himself effortlessly hops down to the ground, is handed a bottle of water and walks towards the camera recording all this, addressing the audience while lacking even a bead of sweat on his forehead. Estrella: "You know, life as an action movie hero can be hard. There's blows to be struck, guns to be fired, explosions to be exploded, witty one liners to be said and charming senioritas to rescue. But I do it all, and even perform my own stunts. Even if I wanted to protect my beautiful face, my perfect body... I could never get a stunt double, because there is no other like me. You saw that on WrestleWorld last week, si? Well, don't worry. There's more where that came from next week, when The Hollywood Luchador, La Estrella, returns to The Warehouse and GSW!" (Rating: 44) Magwitch makes quite the entrance for this one, riding a golf cart painted in all sorts of clown colors to the ring. Well, painted might not be the best way to describe it, as it looks like someone repeatedly shot it with a paintball gun. Still, the cart is loaded with all sorts of equipment for the match and GSW's resident psycho clown gleefully pulls out a golf club from one of the bags, which he proceeds to swing at his opponent. Well aware that he's not the kind to dodge, Henry simply takes the hit, then yanks the club out of his opponent's hands and snaps it in half! This more or less sets the tone for the rest of the match, with Magwitch going full hardcore using any of the items he's brought with him, from light tubes to a literal kitchen sink, while Henry is an absolute monster, taking as much punishment as he dishes out. What turns the tide in favor of Magwitch is the appearance of a second clown, who joins in to beat Henry with various discarded items. With the big man reeling, the newcomer ascends to the top turnbuckle and jumps off to hit Henry with a Flying Double Foot Stomp, the signature move revealing him to be Hellech, one half of IPW's legendary Coulrophobia tag team! Before anyone can wonder what the hell he's doing here (or where his teammate Pierrot might be), Hellech helps Magwitch pull Henry up and deliver a Stump Piledriver for good measure, before making the pin. (Rating: 40) Back in what seems to be a private, dimly lit area of The Warehouse, Los Guerilleros are convening. Galindo: "Man, where the f**k were the two of you last week? We got murdered out there! You're supposed to have our backs!" MexiCain: "We got jumped, aight? F**king Killers took us out just as we were parking the lowrider." Speak of the devil, E-Z and Sanchez Villano walk up to the scene. But they are not alone. Towering behind them are State of Destruction, their presence enough to make Los Guerilleros twice about attacking the Tag Team champions. Villano: "Buenas noches yo, I thought I heard someone speak our name?" MexiCain: "The f**k you want, cabron?" Villano: "Easy now, I think it's you who wants something. A match for the titles, perhaps?" MexiCain: "These are OUR titles!" Villano: "I don't see you walking around with them... Anyway, I'm here to make a proposal. A deal that will make you happy and will make our friends here happy too." BB Colossus and Bonyeard sneer menacingly in the background. Villano: "Me an' E-Z here, we no cowards. We'll fight you again, and we'll beat you again... but only if you first put your trios titles on the line against BB, Boneyard... and a third partner of their choosing." Los Guerilleros exchange glances, silently weighing the situation and considering their answer. Villano: "I'm a fair man. All you gotta do is give them a title match. Win or lose, you still get to fight us for tag team gold." The glances continue, until Mexico's Finest simply nods. MexiCain: "Deal" (Rating: 40) Main event time, a great match between great wrestlers. Stash gets to dominate early, forcing his two opponents to team up in order to take him out. This clears the ring for some straightforward back and forth fighting between Fro and Blake, before Stash rejoins them. Once again, the two smaller men try to team up against the Jamaican, but this time it's harder as they're hurt and exhausted from their earlier exchanges. Stash gets to shine a little more, before the other two manage to desperately knock him over the top rope to the outside, but then Fro is the faster one to immediately resume the attack on Blake. This builds up to TBJ getting hit with the Sure Thing piledriver, but as soon as Fro makes the cover, Stash grabs his leg and pulls him to the outside, powerslamming him to the floor. From there, Raheem goes back inside the ring to pick up Blake's almost lifeless body and hit his own Standing Powerslam for good measure, before putting a single foot on TBJ for the pin. (Rating: 52) The scene is the inside of a boxing gym. Several people are training, huffing and grunting as they punch bags. Although dimly lit, the establishment seems to be on the fancy rather than the shady side of the spectrum. E-Soteric: "I don't know why people think I sided with Muvva. Seriously, that bastard? I hate his stinking guts! Nah, what I wanna do is beat Muvva and take back my title. If that means I gotta swing a chair at Ali to take his spot, that's exactly what I'm gonna do. And next week, I'm willing to do anything to get that pin, so I can finally get my title shot. Ali... you're one hell of a wrestler, I respect that, but next week you better make sure you don't get in my way." Oddly enough, Dread Army should -in theory- control the match and bully their opponents around, but in a refreshing twist of things it was their opponents who seemed to be on top by taking advantage of the chaotic nature of such a multi man match. Dread Army looked a lot like a collection of big strong individuals while Okamoto-gun came across more like a team, using their speed and frequent tags to always keep a fresh contestant in while confusing the opposition. Chipping away at four monsters is no small task though and all it took was one simple miscalculation from Matsuzawa, providing Ragnarok with a chance to hit one big move to end the match. In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Dread Army (FEAR, Abomination, Monstrosity and Ragnarok) defeated Okamoto-gun (Dynamite Narahashi, Yoshisada Matsuzawa, Jimmy Stratosphere and Motty Kuroda) in 14:30 when Ragnarok pinned Yoshisada Matsuzawa with a Death of the Gods. [55] Seven Samurai (Kadonomaro Kamisaka, Nobuharu Yokokawa and Roku Sotomura) vs Conner Threepwood and The Hurt It should come as no surprise that this match was all about the technical aspects of wrestling, with all six men putting on a clinic. This slow pace, light impact style was just the thing for veterans Yokokawa and Sotomura, as it allowed them to preserve strength and play up their experience while hiding their declining stamina and athleticism. Their opponents proved to be excellent dance partners for such a style, especially Robinson and Svensson who threw in a few teamwork spots to turn things around more than once, but it was Threepwood who in the end wrapped it up as he tapped Yokokawa, leaving Seven Samurai to ponder about their depleted ranks and aging members. In a bout that had good wrestling but didn't have much heat, Conner Threepwood and The Hurt defeated Seven Samurai (Kadonomaro Kamisaka, Nobuharu Yokokawa and Roku Sotomura) in 16:05 when Conner Threepwood submitted Nobuharu Yokokawa with a Stretch Plum. [54] Challengers Series Medallions match Atto Savage vs Zeshin Makioka This was very much what one would expect here, with Savage using his power to dominate while Makioka focused his attacks on his opponent's recently injured leg. Given how much Savage seemed to be limited in his performance, it's no hyperbole to say he wasn't just selling the damage but suffered from legitimate pain. A lot of his tactics had to do with trying to wrap this up fast and apply the Savage Claw, something Makioka had scouted out and escaped in various creative ways, at one point simply kicking his opponent's leg as hard as he could while in the hold, counting on the spiking pain to force a release, which it did. From there, Makioka had a clear target he worked over, building up to a Figure Four and the eventual submission. In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Zeshin Makioka defeated Atto Savage in 14:01 by submission. Zeshin Makioka wins the Medallion #2. Zeshin Makioka makes defence number one of the Medallion #3. [46] Challengers Series Medallions match Winner receives a match for the BCG Challengers Series title at The Lion's Roar Rokuemon Matsushita vs Zeshin Makioka A spectacular opening sequence set the tone for this match, as Makioka tried to use the same tactics and work Matsushita's recently injured hip; proving he's no longer damaged and sharp as a tack, Rokuemon effortlessly caught the leg for a shocking moment, before yanking it to pull Makioka near and floor him with a short distance lariat. His plan proven ineffective, Makioka had to survive the onslaught that followed while trying to come up with a new approach. Tapping into his WEXXV past, Makioka escaped the ring to lure his opponent into a brawl, which would eventually involve a chair swung as a weapon to provide Zeshin with a chance to lead the match. Matsushita found himself on defence, but he managed to perservere and push through the damage and his own gas tank, ultimately delivering a huge chokeslam onto the chair Makioka had used and get the pinfall win. In a bout that had great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Rokuemon Matsushita defeated Zeshin Makioka in 15:40 by pinfall with an One-Handed Choke Slam. Rokuemon Matsushita wins the Medallion #2. Rokuemon Matsushita wins the Medallion #3. Rokuemon Matsushita makes defence number one of the Medallion #1. [58] Seven Samurai (Funakoshi & Blast Ikoma) vs Dawnguard (Yoshinaka Taku & Kiyotaka) Kiyotaka's defection was the last in a long series of problems for Seven Samurai and given his undefeated streak against all its members during the tour, he walked into this match in great form alongside Yoshi Taku. Funakoshi was gunning for redemption after that roll up defeat and Ikoma really stepped up his game following his victory over Genji, now really solidifying himself as the group's biggest name behind only Funakoshi and the glue that holds everything together in these dark times. The match began with Funakoshi demanding to face Kiyotaka and subsequently peppering him with the stiffest strikes he could muster before tagging in Ikoma to get his share as well. Kiyotaka was forced to also make a tag, giving Taku and Ikoma a chance to get the match rolling proper as they exchanged strikes in sequences leading to a big slam or suplex in the end. By the time Kiyotaka got tagged again, Ikoma had taken a decent beating and the match got slowed down even further as he got worked over on the mat with submissions. This of course built up the anticipation for a hot tag to Funakoshi, with Ikoma initially releasing himself when he sent Kiyotaka to the corner with a release suplex but couldn't get up, then rolling through a Kimura attempt into a pin, forcing another break that this time allowed him to make the tag. Funakoshi cleaned house and turned the tide in his team's favor, but he seemed hellbent on hitting Kiyotaka with the Butterfly Backbreaker, even if sometimes it came at the expense of what would be best for his side. Ikoma noticed and tried to tell Funakoshi, a subtle tension leading to perhaps an argument between the two, only to subvert expectation when the ever-stoic Funakoshi simply made a reluctant tag. Ikoma pushed through the pain and exhaustion but ended up taking a Full Nelson Bomb for a near fall that his teammate broke up. This had Taku hit Funakoshi as well with a Full Nelson Bomb, the impact rolling him out of the ring after taking the move. Just as it was being set up though, Kiyotaka slapped Taku's back for a blind tag and with Funakoshi out on the floor, he slapped the Kimura on Ikoma dead center of the ring to get the submission. In a bout that had superb wrestling and good heat, Yoshinaka Taku and Kiyotaka defeated Funakoshi and Blast Ikoma in 19:04 when Kiyotaka submitted Blast Ikoma with a Kimura. [66] Tag Team Tournament finals Winners receive a match for the BCG World Tag Team titles at The Lion's Roar The American Cobras vs Miura & Yoshizawa It might seem strange, but somehow this was the first ever match between these two teams in 2020. Anticipation was high and the outcome did not disappoint, as they delivered a fast paced, action packed match full of blistering offence and quick sequences of rapid fire double teams that made good use of both teams' experience. Miura and Spillane also had an exciting part where they traded hard blows with each other, while Malloy brought the high flying to pick up the pace even further and excite the fans. His high risk offence ended up betraying him in the end however when he hit a splash and came up empty, allowing his opponents to retaliate with the End of the World and punch their tickets to a title rematch at The Lion's Roar. In a bout that had great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Miura & Yoshizawa defeated The American Cobras in 26:08 when Noritoshi Miura pinned Marvel Malloy with The End Of The World. [71] SUKI vs Tanyu Toshusai Slowing things down for a breather after the previous match, SUKI and Toshusai spent a lot of the first minutes in this match stalling, posturing and trash talking each other before initiating a striking challenge, everything amping up the personal tension between the two of them. This set the tone for a classic slow fuse bout between them, each man methodically trying to work around his opponent and build towards his respective finisher. Toshusai focused his offence on the neck and head to set up the Brainbuster, whereas SUKI kept swapping his target to stay unpredictable, since he's got both the Mountain SUKI and SUKI Special III in his arsenal. This of course came at the cost of consistently aiming for a certain body part, with Toshusai managing to kick out of a Mountain SUKI to a loud reaction. SUKI would later respond by kicking out of his opponent's finisher and as the match pushed towards the 30 minute mark things looked like they could go either way, but the end saw Toshusai tapping out to a SUKI Special III, one that SUKI kept applied even after the bell, forcing the referee and ringside attendants to rush in and pull him off Tanyu. In a bout that had superb wrestling and good heat, SUKI defeated Tanyu Toshusai in 27:49 by submission with a SUKI Special III. [81] Big Bruiser Findlay vs Razan Okamoto Winner to headline The Lion's Roar in a match for the BCG World title In theory, Findlay versus Okamoto should be a great David vs Goliath situation, but in practice the two men proved to mesh real bad in the ring and it brought the end result down to the point where they couldn't outshine the semi main event by the final bell. Still, Findlay got plenty of offence in playing the part of the brutish gaijin and Okamoto bumped around for sympathy while getting the occasional hope spot to stay in the bout. The back injury Okamoto had sustained in January at the hands of the big bruiser also came into play, with the smaller competitor frantically trying to dodge the Atomic Spinebuster while Findlay took every chance he could to punish his opponent's previously damaged area. On top of that, the size difference meant that Okamoto wasn't able to hit many of his usual moves, including his finisher, so he resorted to mat grappling trying to wear the giant down, a strategy that made sense but messed with the pace of the bout and took some wind out of its sails. Findlay almost got the pin after a scary looking Backdrop Driver, the signature move Bulldozer Brandon Smith would use to finish his matches before leaving BCG for USPW, and he paid for his inability to end the match there and then because Okamoto would later catch him in the midst of ascending the ropes, using the situation to did deep for the strength and leverage Findlay's weight to finally hit him with a Brainbuster Suplex for the pin. In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Razan Okamoto defeated Big Bruiser Findlay in 31:46 by pinfall with a Brainbuster Suplex. [75] Revisiting the finish at The Lion Rises, Okamoto got to cut the go-home promo over the reeling Findlay, only for Furusawa to come out and congratulate him for his victory and have a staredown, hyping up their now re-confirmed title clash at The Lion's Roar.</div> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #2C2A2A; max-width:60%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";">Post show interviews and comments Okamoto: "I literally had to achieve the impossible tonight, but I proved I can do impossible things. And if people think there's no way Furusawa is losing that title, well I guess that's another impossible for me to conquer. I've proven I can and at The Lion's Roar I will become the new BCG World champion!" SUKI: "Tanyu is a great wrestler, but he's in over his head. Tonight I taught him humility. I showed him his place. Defeating Furusawa was, just like I'd said, a lucky night for him and nothing more." Yoshizawa: "When we lost our titles to The Horror, they were newcomers. We didn't know what to expect and we got caught by surprise. We've fought hard for another chance and this time we will be prepared to reclaim the gold." Matsushita: "When Tanyu Toshusai won the Challengers Series title in January, he became the first and only three time holder of the belt. At The Lion's Roar, I intend to match him and then go a step beyond by completing all three defences for a chance at the World title."</div>

[59] With Yutaka Ogata being the only young lion in this match, he was pretty much expected to take the pin, but it was Toshusai who beat Urogataya in the finish. After the match, Urogataya bowed to all sides of the ring and waved fans goodbye, confirming the rumors that he had signed with PGHW, making this his final match with Black Canvas Grappling. 2. Zeshin Makioka defeated Danjuro Kikuchi in 14:09 by submission. Zeshin Makioka wins the Medallion #3. [58] Makioka began the tour by losing to Matsushita in a Medallion match, but he wraps it up with a win and the final Medallion in his possession. Could we be seeing a rematch between the two, this time with more than one Medallion on the line? 3. The American Cobras defeated Black Iron Corps in 17:58 when Storm Spillane pinned Azumamaro Kita with a Cobra Strike. [50] The Cobra Strike once again was the way to go for Malloy and Spillane as the duo used it to ensure victory over Black Iron Corps. This earned them a spot at The Lion Hunts, where they will be facing off against Miura & Yoshizawa, with the winners of that match moving on to challenge The Horror for the BCG World Tag Team titles at The Lion's Roar. 4. Big Bruiser Findlay and Giant Brody defeated Razan Okamoto and Yoshisada Matsuzawa in 17:34 when Giant Brody pinned Yoshisada Matsuzawa with a Single Handed Choke Slam. [62] History repeats itself and with no youngsters on their side this time, the Bruiser Brigade were able to revisit their Night 1 victory over Okamoto-gun. Findlay mocked Okamoto after the match, doing the title belt gesture around his waist as a sign of his confidence about winning and moving on to take the title from Furusawa. 5. Kiyotaka defeated Funakoshi in 17:45 by pinfall with a quick cradle. [47] Kiyotaka has run through his former stablemates throughout the tour and thus looked like he could credibly defeat Funakoshi too, which was exactly what he managed to do in this main event. Playing defence to avoid the Butterfly Backbreaker, Kiyotaka smartly lured in his opponent and ended up changing his tactics by the end when he rolled Funakoshi up instead of going for the Kimura, a trick that was enough for the three count and a huge victory for the latest recruit of Dawnguard. </div>

Okamoto-gun (Razan Okamoto, Dynamite Narahashi, Jimmy Stratosphere and Motty Kuroda) defeated Bruiser Brigade (Big Bruiser Findlay, Giant Brody, Texas Hangman and James Diaz) in 15:34 when Jimmy Stratosphere pinned James Diaz with a Frog Splash. [52] Okamoto's group seem to have found the trick in these multi man matches, avoiding Findlay and Brody while wearing down their much less experienced teammates in Diaz and Hangman. This does help them get some momentum in light of Okamoto's big match against Findlay, but answers no questions as to how he might be able to pull off a win there, one on one against the leader of the Bruiser Brigade. 2. SUKI and Masashi Urogataya defeated Toshusai & Ogata in 16:05 when SUKI pinned Yutaka Ogata with a Mountain SUKI. [58] An infuriated SUKI made short work of his opponents, especially young lion Yutaka Ogata who he got the pin over. After the match, he and Toshusai almost got into an altercation to the point where Urogataya had to get in the middle and separate them. 3. Dread Army (FEAR, The Horror and Ragnarok) defeated Seven Samurai (Funakoshi, Kadonomaro Kamisaka, Nobuharu Yokokawa and Roku Sotomura) in 17:34 when FEAR pinned Roku Sotomura with a Fear Drive. [60] Problems continue to plague Seven Samurai, their diminished numbers now not being their only problem after Kiyotaka has beaten most of them. Dread Army on the other hand had no such qualms and they brought the violence, with FEAR destroying Sotomura for the pin after more than fifteen minutes of stiff hits and big slams between the two teams. 4. Miura & Yoshizawa defeated Technical Excellence in 18:02 when Inejiro Yoshizawa pinned Ray Snow with The End Of The World. [58] Miura & Yoshizawa are now one breath away from a title rematch against The Horror as they made it to the finals of the tournament after beating Technical Excellence. Snow and Shikitei fought valiantly, but their opponents just would not be denied on this night and will now wait to see if they will face Black Iron Corps or The American Cobras in the big finale. 5. Kiyotaka defeated Blast Ikoma in 21:16 by submission with a Kimura. [56] Kiyotaka's done it again! Blast Ikoma presented a major challenge and pushed him past the twenty minute mark with his toughness and hard hitting suplexes, but in the end there was no way out of the Kimura for Funakoshi's lieutenant. With an undefeated streak so far, Kiyotaka looks like he could actually go all the way and do the unthinkable when he faces the leader of the Seven Samurai in the final night of the tour. </div>

This time it was young Ritsu Ibata who found himself caught in the hold, his surrender giving Toshusai's side two victories now over SUKI's one. 2. James Diaz took the place of Texas Hangman for this six man tag and ended up falling, but it took all of his three opponents' finishers one after the other to get it done, Narahashi coming in last to also score the pinfall. 3. Technical Excellence defeated Ichiro Mitsukuri and Koyo Kinoshita in 16:05 when Omezo Shikitei submitted Ichiro Mitsukuri with a STF. [51] Snow and Shikitei are known for their skill individually, but seeing them together elevated each man and their partnership to something more than the sum of its parts. Looking like they've been working together for ages, the duo had no difficulty beating their younger opponents and advance to the next stage, where they will be facing the former BCG World Tag Team champions Miura & Yoshizawa. 4. Atto Savage defeated Yoshinaka Taku in 17:52 by submission with a Savage Claw. Atto Savage wins the Medallion #2. [47] Savage defeated Taku and earned himself a Medallion, but it seems to have come at a great cost since the big man was favoring his one leg by the end of the match and afterwards heading into the locker room. If this is a sign of injury, it will only make his road towards the title even harder but that remains to be seen. 5. Kiyotaka defeated Kadonomaro Kamisaka in 21:54 by submission with a Kimura. [53] An extremely personal matchup in the main event, with two former tag team partners facing off after Kiyotaka's defection from the Seven Samurai to Dawnguard. Well acquainted with each other, the two men traded holds back and forth in a slow paced, methodical grappling clinic until Kiyotaka finally managed to squeeze out the tap when he caught "Serene K" in a Kimura dead center of the ring. His first victory over a younger star of Funakoshi's group, this one is bound to boost his confidence as he heads into his final two matches against Ikoma and the faction's leader, Funakoshi. </div>

Okamoto-gun (Razan Okamoto, Dynamite Narahashi and Yoshisada Matsuzawa) defeated Bruiser Brigade (Big Bruiser Findlay, Giant Brody and Texas Hangman) in 15:39 when Razan Okamoto pinned Texas Hangman with a Brainbuster Suplex. [63] Okamoto-gun scored the equalizer following their opening night loss and they did so by focusing their attack on the least experienced member of the opposition. Hangman was able to hang in with everyone else and showcase his growth, but he's still not on that level and ended up being the one to take the pin. 3. Dread Army (FEAR, The Horror and Ragnarok) defeated Seven Samurai (Funakoshi, Blast Ikoma, Kadonomaro Kamisaka and Roku Sotomura) in 17:04 when Ragnarok pinned Roku Sotomura with a Death of the Gods. [68] Between Lion Genji getting snatched by PGHW and Kiyotaka turning his back on the Seven Samurai, the group's morale has taken a hit and it showed in this match where they lacked the fire and drive to get the job done. Ragnarok had a chance to further solidify his presence on the BCG with a pin over the veteran Sotomura and Dread Army picked up another victory. 4. Kiyotaka defeated Nobuharu Yokokawa in 16:10 by submission with a Kimura. [50] Second match, second win in a row for Kiyotaka who tapped out another of the Seven Samurai's veterans. Much like Sotomura before him, Yokokawa seemed to underestimate his younger opponent and sought to put him in his place by taunting and bullying him, an act that allowed the very focused Kiyotaka to do the work and be rewarded for it. 5. The American Cobras defeated The Diamond Dogs in 15:38 when Storm Spillane pinned Jimmy Stratosphere with a Cobra Strike. [65] Malloy and Spillane punched their tickets to the semifinals and a match against Black Iron Corps, defeating Stratosphere and Kuroda in a spectacular match. Both the Kneeling Boston Crab and Storm Bringer couldn't get the job done as they yielded near falls, so the Cobras had to pull out their Cobra Strike tag finisher to get the win, something they rarely do but underlined the effort they needed to put in this one. 6. Toshusai & Kikuchi defeated SUKI and Masashi Urogataya in 17:43 when Danjuro Kikuchi submitted Masashi Urogataya with a Step Over Leg Bar. [79] Despite teaming with a more experienced grappler than his opponent, SUKI couldn't make the 2-0 here as Urogataya ended up tapping out to Kikuchi. The young star really shone in this match and nearly stole the show, proving he has skill that far exceeds his age and experience. </div>

Toshusai seemed to fare better with his partner, but the inexperienced youngster did botch a move to injure fellow young boy Ibata's shoulder and perhaps that led to the finish getting altered on the fly to have him take the pin as punishment. 2. Kiyotaka defeated Roku Sotomura in 14:56 by submission with a Kimura. [38] Kiyotaka's series of matches kicked off with a victory over fellow submission artist Roku Sotomura. According to SUKI, Toshusai embarassed the Pillars of Puroresu by defeating their leader, then losing to Findlay. "He should have gone all the way, win and face Furusawa-san again at The Lion's Roar" SUKI said "and if he's indeed better, take the title from him. But he's not, and he made us all look bad". SUKI's comments didn't go unnoticed by Toshusai himself, who took the opportunity to challenge his stablemate to a one on one match as a way to prove himself and shut him up. ~ During the event, it was also announced that Lion Genji was no longer a part of Black Canvas Grapppling, as he has signed an exclusive deal with PGHW, something that might in retrospect explain his match and defeat to Blast Ikoma at The Lion Rises. Sharaku Okimasa and Sofu Ozawa were also revealed to have been released. ~ Genji's release in particular did not save him from some rather vitriolic comments that Kiyotaka had to make. Returning from injury all fire and brimstone, Kiyotaka verbally attacked Funakoshi and the Seven Samurai for looking to "replace" him with Genji while he was sidelined, announcing his departure from the group and defection to rival faction Dawnguard. In light of this, Kiyotaka will be getting a series of one on one matches throughout the tour against his former stablemates and each of them is expected to be personal, intense and explosive. ~ Yuta Isono was also present for his final goodbye, officially announcing his departure on excursion to the United States and New York Championship Wrestling. It is unknown when the young star will be making his return, but he told fans and journalists "it will not be long" before he is back wrestling on the black canvas. ~ With matches scheduled for all of BCG's singles titles, this leaves The Horror without a challenger for The Lion's Roar as the Dread Army duo have so far steamrolled through pretty much everything the company had to offer. As such, it was announced that a tag team elimination tournament will be taking place throughout the tour, with the finals happening at the final show to determine the next title contenders. Eight teams will be participating and the quarterfinal brackets will kick of featuring Black Iron Corps searching for another title shot if they can get past Last of the Golden Lions first. Former champions Yoshizawa & Miura will start their race facing the former SAISHO team of Robinson and Svensson known as The Hurt, while another former SAISHO team in The Diamond Dogs will represent Okamoto-gun against The American Cobras. First you mess with Miss Jones and kick her out of GSW. Then you act all high and mighty leading us into battle and all that sh*t, only to fail time and time again. I don't know how you do it, but you somehow managed to burn bridges both with ya boi Deaf Touch and now us. I don't know the situation between you and him, but I know just because you beat Jo here last week doesn't mean we're through with you. I'll see you in this ring next week!" (Rating: 38) A pretty by-the-numbers hardcore tag match, this one starts with Finest trading blows with his opponents but once Galindo gets the tag, he finds himself on the wrong side of town and takes a beating, building to the hot tag. MexiCain and LatiNoFear are nowhere to be seen though (since viewers know they were attacked earlier) and Guerilleros seem lost without their usual run-ins and numbers advantage, leading to Finest getting the hot tag but running out of fuel and taking a big chokeslam from Boneyard who pins him. (Rating: 35) A pre-taped video is shown next, with Magwitch standing in what appears to be an abandoned circus or country fair. Magwitch: "Heeeenryyyy... You make a clown sad. Did you forget about me? Was a barb wire bat to the back not enough to draw your attention? Well, I guess that only means I have to try harder... Next week, Henry, you're going on a ride through my psycho circus! AAAAAAAAHahahahahaha..." (Rating: 61) Well acquainted with each other from their IPW days, the two men showcase just that as they dodge, reverse and anticipate each other's usual attacks in a rapidly escalating fistfight. With Muvva's usual shenanigans and Cindy at ringside, Ali is the de facto babyface in this match fighting an unfair uphill battle that quickly spills out of the ring and into the audience. Said audience also includes E-Soteric who's blended in with the crowd and appears at just the right time to swing a chair at Ali. This is the straw that breaks, no pun intended, the proverbial camel's back and Muvva is quick to capitalize, getting Ali back in the ring with the assistance of his wife and manager, throwing in a Hustler's Headbutt for good measure to score the three count and retain. (Rating: 50) Fro Sure bursts into Brother Grimm's office, catching the owner of GSW in the middle of a phone call. Fro: "Grimm, we need to talk, baby." Grimm calmly ends the call and turns his attention to the American champion. Grimm: "Sh*t son, just 'cause you the champion doesn't mean you can just walk in here without knocking first!" Fro: "Sorry 'bout that, Grimm, I'm just fired up. Those IPW n***as been hijacking the show! There's more of 'em coming every week and our guys are being shoved aside. Hell, did you just watch the ring? Two of 'em, main eventing in a title match." Grimm: "Calm down, kid. That's just one episode. Last week I had Stash and Blake main eventing." Fro: "It ain't the same thing and you know it." Grimm: "So what, you want a title match? You're money, Fro. Can't have you defending your title on weekly television. You're supposed to headline the big shows!" Fro: "So don't put my title on the line! Tell you what, next week, you give me Stash and Blake in a three way, non-title match." Grimm: "That's actually a pretty good match up, Fro... But here's the deal, if either of those guys end up winning, I'm giving them a shot at your title." Fro: "Deal. I ain't afraid to wrestle nobody and I ain't gonna hide behind my gold. Anyone think they can step up and take if from me, Imma knock em out!" 17. 1. FMW Brass Knuckles Six Man Title: Psychos (Super Crazy/Psicosis/Vampiro) vs Invaders (Dan Spivey/Sandman/Kevin Kelly) I would assume the Psychos need some kind of credible foe, so this could be a trio they might feud with. A win here establishes the invaders and gets said feud going. Though I'm still rooting for Psychos. 2. Three Way Tag: Texas Mustangs vs Killer Bees vs Masato Tanaka/Tommy Dreamer They seem to be getting the biggest push out of the teams involved. 3. FMW Blood Brothers Tournament Finals: Wrecking Crew vs Bruise Brothers Tough, tough call. Can see either team winning, really. 4. WWA World Women's Title 4 Way Match: Aja Kong © vs Manami Toyota vs Megumi Kudo vs Yumiko Hotta Not sure if Kong has been signed to an exclusive deal somewhere, but the setup feels like a chance to move the belt without her getting pinned. And even if Aja stays, she has a reason to request a rematch if she isn't the one to take the pin. 5. FMW Brass Knuckles Title Anything Goes Deathmatch: Abdullah the Butcher © vs Atsushi Onita Logic says Abdullah needs a longer reign, but Onita's gonna Onita.
  18. Honored by the bolded part, dear sir. As for LaRue, I was indeed taking the long route in building her up, but USPW just swept in and got her. Was a little surprised to be honest, I expected Fro Sure or Cali Slick to be signed before Foxxy. Stay tuned for the following episode, folks!

W3 August 2020 New Mei Sports Stadium @ Kansai, Japan Attendance: 8.632, Rating: 74, Views: 48.538 (0.06 on Shogun TV) Nobuharu Yokokawa vs Yuta Isono Yuta Isono's series of trial matches ended here with one against Yokokawa. It was an interesting clash of styles and personalities between the cocky, flashy and quick young lion going toe to toe with the slower but more methodical, experienced and battle hardened veteran, but the actual in-ring action was nothing to really write home about, to the point where it felt a lot like a match that simply needed to go down and be done with. In a poor match, Nobuharu Yokokawa defeated Yuta Isono in 7:32 by submission with a Stump Puller. [44] Challengers Series Medallions match Naozane Goto (with Yoshinaka Taku) vs Ragnarok Ragnarok flipped the script of the usual Goto match here, since the former sumo star is usually the bigger but less experienced man in his contests; this time, Goto's size and power was matched but it was his opponent who carried less experience than himself. The Icelander got an early advantage thanks to his grappling skill and even managed to lift Goto up an over for an impressive suplex. This signaled to Yoshi Taku and he shouted out to the former Challengers Series champion that he wasn't going to win a straight wrestling contest; he needed to brawl, so Goto switched to open palm strikes, chops and body tackles playing to his strengths. It didn't take long for this approach to get him in control of the match, but once things spilled out of the ring, Ragnarok was able to turn things around by playing dirty and even throwing the ring steps right into the head of a charging Goto. That was the turning point in the match that allowed Ragnarok to do some more damage, before the action got back between the ropes and he once again showcased his strength by lifting Goto up to deliver his Death of the Gods finisher. In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Ragnarok defeated Naozane Goto in 10:53 by pinfall with a Death of the Gods. Ragnarok wins the Medallion #2. Ragnarok makes defence number one of the Medallion #1. [53] Challengers Series Medallion match Danjuro Kikuchi vs Kadonomaro Kamisaka It should come as no surprise that Kikuchi and Kamisaka wrestled a very technical match, even if their individual flavors were slightly different since Kikuchi opted for submissions and mat grappling while "Serene K" delivered his signature suplexes, peppered with crisp strikes. This was a contest for the hardcore grappling audience, partially due to the slick chain wrestling and cerebral game on display and partially due to both men's apparent lack of charisma that failed to really draw in the audience and have them invested. Not that the fans were utterly silent, but Kikuchi and Kamisaka certainly didn't get the most they should have out of each spot. A bout of targeted limb work from bell to bell, Kikuchi ruthlessly attacked his opponent's lower body to set up his Step Over Leg Bar, while Kamisaka's slams aimed to soften up the neck and head area in preparation for the Triangle Choke he likes to utilize to end his matches. This all built to the finishing sequence, in which Kamisaka got the hold in but his legs were too damaged to keep it applied. Kikuchi escaped and tried to slap on his own finisher, with "Serene K" forcing a rope break before he dropped a few more bombs and another attempt at the choke dead center of the ring, this time fighting through the pain long enough to squeeze out the tap. In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Kadonomaro Kamisaka defeated Danjuro Kikuchi in 13:38 by submission with a Triangle Choke. Kadonomaro Kamisaka wins the Medallion #3. [60] Challengers Series Medallions match Kadonomaro Kamisaka vs Ragnarok This new setup guaranteed, in theory, a fairer fight by the point where all three Medallions were fought for, since every wrestler now already had one match behind them. In reality, Kamisaka had suffered a lot more damage to his legs from his own match and Ragnarok seemed to be the heavy favourite as he laid down the strikes. This setup made for a classic uphill battle that fans instantly get drawn into and the audience cheered for "Serene K" in hopes of seeing him pull off the upset win against the big brutish gaijin. What made things even harder for Kamisaka was the fact that his opponent was much bigger than him and thus wouldn't just be slammed around, so he switched to submission grappling instead and even surprised him with a Triangle Choke out of nowhere. Instead of yielding, Ragnarok simply pulled his opponent up, still in the hold, and powerbombed him to the mat, thus beginning another control segment where he threw "Serene K" around with big moves. Kamisaka wouldn't stay down for the pin though and he even used the frustration this generated in his opponent when he caught him with a drop toe hold that tripped the big man throat first onto the top rope. Kamisaka immediately went for the Triangle Choke again and although he didn't get the tap, it was enough to wear the big man down for "Serene K" to then hit a spine crunching Stump Piledriver and get the pin. In a bout that had good wrestling but didn't have much heat, Kadonomaro Kamisaka defeated Ragnarok in 15:01 by pinfall with a Stump Piledriver. Kadonomaro Kamisaka wins the Medallion #2. Kadonomaro Kamisaka makes defence number one of the Medallion #3. Kadonomaro Kamisaka wins the Medallion #1. [58] BCG Challengers Series title match 18th Champion Giant Brody vs Kadonomaro Kamisaka By this point, Kamisaka was spent wrestling his third match of the night against a fresh and well-rested opponent. Brody played up to this, bullying his challenger around and frequently antagonizing the audience who were hoping for back to back miracles. This of course meant that he'd often drop his guard enough for "Serene K" to get some offence in, but other than that it felt like the match was only Brody toying with his prey and delaying the inevitable. Kamisaka once again showcased his fighting spirit, pushing back against all odds but it was just not going to happen, not on this night and not against this opponent. In a decent match, Giant Brody defeated Kadonomaro Kamisaka in 12:11 by pinfall with a Single Handed Choke Slam. Giant Brody makes defence number one of the BCG Challengers Series. [50] Mabuchi Furusawa & SUKI vs Razan Okamoto & Dynamite Narahashi In theory, Furusawa versus Okamoto is still penciled in as the main event of The Lion's Roar, but things could change following the champion's loss to Tanyu Toshusai at Sole Survivor. Furusawa played up both the shock of his loss and his damaged confidence after that as well as wanting to protect himself in light of his big title match, leaving his lieutenant to do most of the heavy lifting for their team in this match. SUKI was all too happy to bring the violence and he didn't even struggle much to do so, since his opponents were both the smaller, faster types. Okamoto and Narahashi were initially in a tight spot trying to wrestle SUKI one on one, but soon enough they realized they needed to work together to turn this one around. Some quick tags and double team moves later, momentum had shifted in their favor and soon enough, Furusawa was forced to tag in and do his part. The BCG World champion was more than capable to do just that, but as soon as Okamoto managed to reverse one of his moves and regain control of the match, Furusawa cowardly retreated to tag SUKI back in. Well aware of what he could expect now, SUKI showed just that when he caught Okamoto mid-air with a roundhouse kick right to the gut. Razan sold it spectacularly like he always does and rolled out of the ring, acting like he'd been broken in half, leaving Narahashi to carry the flag into battle for the remainder of the match. This meant that Dynamite had no one to tag when he needed to and soon enough this caught up to him as his opponents cut the ring in half and worked him over on their corner, before Furusawa ended the match with his patented armbar. In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Mabuchi Furusawa and SUKI defeated Razan Okamoto and Dynamite Narahashi in 17:40 when Mabuchi Furusawa submitted Dynamite Narahashi with a Furusawa Armbar. [77] BCG World Tag Team titles match 14th Champions The Horror vs Challengers Black Iron Corps Reunited again following Kita's departure from SAISHO at the start of the year, the Black Iron Corps got their title shot against The Horror, in hopes of succeeding where nearly every other team in Black Canvas Grappling has failed. Abomination and Monstrosity established their dominance early in the match, bullying their smaller opponents around and looking almost as if they were going through the motions toying with more prey. This would eventually turn around thanks to Kita's sporadic but persistent attack on the legs, delivering scything low kicks to the thigh and the back of the knee. Narahashi quickly caught on to this and utilized basic moves like boston crabs and leg whips to continue the assault, slowly but surely chipping away at the champions. This, combined with the challengers' unyielding spirit that kept them kicking out of pinning predicaments prolonged the fight, allowing for their efforts to eventually pay off as the champions began to show signs of weakness. Just as the Black Iron Corps looked like they were about to turn things around, Monstrosity blocked one of Narahashi's signature lariats and turned it around to whip the arm, trying to yank it out of its socket. This, of course, was intentional and looking to exploit Narahashi's recent shoulder injury, with The Horror then taking the match to the outside and wrapping the arm around the barricade for a stretch or jamming it onto the steel ringpost. The champions had the distinct advantage while fighting at ringside and all their challengers could do was try to survive. By the time the action got back inside the ring, it felt like it was only a matter of time and all the Black Iron Corps was struggle against the inevitable. Kita was effectively fighting a two on one match with Narahashi reeling, the numbers catching up to him before he was force to make the tag to his weakened opponent. From there, The Horror simply absorbed whatever damage Narahashi could dish out in order to lure him in and come close to retaliate, building up to the Apocalypse Blast in the end and their fourth successful title defence. In a bout that had superb wrestling but didn't have much heat, The Horror defeated Black Iron Corps in 16:57 when Abomination pinned Fujio Narahashi with an Apocalypse Blast. The Horror make defence number four of the BCG World Tag Team titles. [74] Blast Ikoma vs Lion Genji Lion Genji's series of matches prior to joining the Seven Samurai never had him face Blast Ikoma one on one, yet this was far more than an exhibition match between stablemates. Since he joined the group, Genji had shot up its ranks and regarded as second only to Funakoshi, who he hadn't managed to defeat in singles combat. Ikoma apparently took exception to that and requested the match, essentially making it a contest about who would be the number two behind Funakoshi. The leader of the group was himself at ringside, though he chose not to pick sides and instead took a seat at the timekeeper's table for a front row seat of the action. This was another classic slow burner match with a big fight atmosphere and a lot of personal history between the two competitors, so of course its first minutes were slow with a lot of posturing, trash talking, slapping, shoving, running the ropes for shoulder tackles, opening up and inviting strikes, the whole nine yards. Things only began to pick up after Genji backed his opponent to the corner in order to pepper him with strikes, only for Ikoma to escape and deliver a release suplex that sent Genji flying to the pads. The former BCG World champion unleashed a side suplex, then a gutwrench powerbomb and a fisherman buster for a close near fall, all the while showcasing his technical mastery and variety of big moves. Genji had the Northern Lights scouted though and he escaped it, retaliating with a quick series of kicks and strikes in full panic mode that forced Ikoma out of the ring to regroup. Genji pressed his advantage with a rare suicide dive between the ropes to the outside, leading to a ringside brawl between the two. Ikoma took a beating for a while but was able to catch his charging opponent and reverse into a powerslam, buying himself enough time to retreat back into the ring. Genji almost got counted out but was able to slide back in too, initiating the final stretch of the match where both men hit bigger and bigger moves in an attempt to put each other out. Ikoma went first with a sickening backdrop driver that earned him a near fall, then tried to go high but was caught with a superplex, followed by a folding powerbomb from Genji for another two count. Genji then pointed towards Funakoshi at ringside and applied the Butterfly Lock, apparently looking to pull off a Butterfly Backbreaker, but this fired up Ikoma as much as it got a reaction out of Funakoshi, leading him to escape the hold and reverse into a Northern Lights Bomb that finally brought the count of three, solidifying Ikoma as the top man in the group behind only Funakoshi. In a bout that had superb wrestling and good heat, Blast Ikoma defeated Lion Genji in 15:51 by pinfall with a Northern Lights Bomb. [69] Big Bruiser Findlay vs Tanyu Toshusai The main event was given a little more time than the Ikoma-Genji match which did feel like it needed a few more minutes and it really benefitted from this temporal space to breathe. Findlay was every bit the big brutish gaijin he's been since he first set foot in Japan six years ago and actually got a lot of offence in while selling very little for Toshusai, a sign that despite his declining physical appearance he is no longer punished by the booking for letting himself go. Meanwhile, Tanyu Toshusai played his part to perfection as the heroic native wrestler going up against the brutish foreign brawler, with fans rooting for him all the way. His supremacy as a straight up grappler allowed him to use the big man's size against him and Findlay eventually dropped every pretense of fair play, brutalizing his opponent with an onslaught of stiff strikes, before he dumped Toshusai out of the ring for a rough introduction to the hard ringside environment. Findlay really looked like a raging bull as he threw the ring steps onto his opponent and even slammed him back first onto the announcers' table, with Toshusai selling the hit as if it broke his back and generating genuine concern about whether he would be able to continue and if so, if he could survive Findlay's crushing Atomic Spinebuster. Findlay unceremoniously dumped him back first onto the apron before rolling him in for the cover, but somehow Toshusai kicked out, only inviting further punishment upon himself from his frustrated opponent. Findlay picked him up and drove him back first onto the corner, maintaining his hold to turn around and slam him with a spinebuster for another two count. Fans were on their feet, fired up by Toshusai's fighting spirit, but their hopes got squashed just like his back when Findlay followed up with an Atomic Spinebuster, finally getting the three count to win the match. In a bout that had superb wrestling and good heat, Big Bruiser Findlay defeated Tanyu Toshusai in 17:46 by pinfall with an Atomic Spinebuster. [82] With Toshusai still selling his damaged back after the end of the match as young boys and doctors rushed to check up on him, Findlay celebrated his victory and got on the mic for the wrap-up promo. The Big Bruiser bragged about his win, pointing out that he should be the one wrestling for the World title, as he'd just defeated the man who had pinned the champion at Sole Survivor. This claim brought out Razan Okamoto, who picked up the proverbial glove of Findlay's challenge and offered to put up the title shot he'd earned by winning the Sole Survivor match. At The Lion Hunts, it would be Findlay versus Okamoto, with the winner getting to fight Furusawa for the BCG World title in the main event of BCG's biggest show of the year!</div> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #2C2A2A; max-width:60%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";">Post show interviews and comments Findlay: "I just beat the man who beat the World champion, so what does that make me? It means I'm better than both of them! I should just be handed the title and get this over with. If Okamoto wants to embarrass himself by going up against me, he's free to do so. I will beat him and then I will beat Furusawa to prove my point!" Okamoto: "Findlay seems to forget this isn't just about the title shot. Earlier this year at Heritage, he sidelined me with a back injury. I'm out for redemption and I'm out for revenge. This is personal!" Ikoma: "Tonight I showed this lion his place in the pack. Genji is one hell of a competitor, but he's in over his head if he thinks he can just walk in and be the top guy. Seven Samurai are about honor and tradition, but they're also about humility and Genji lacks that, so tonight I taught him a lesson he will never forget." Furusawa: "I'm the World champion for a reason. I won the Grand Prix, then I beat Funakoshi. What chance do either Okamoto or Findlay think they stand against me?"</div>
