And is there any way to make them happy again without throwing money at them?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Vacations. If somebody is stinking up my locker room I tell them to stay home.</p>
  2. <p>Just a quick question, I think I am reading this wrongly. </p><p> </p><p> A pay-per-appearance contract; does this mean you pay them <span style="text-decoration:underline;">only</span> when they appear in a match or angle, or does it mean you pay them when they appear in your locker room?</p><p> </p><p> I had assumed it was only when they appeared in a match or angle. However, I read the Player's Tip on paid leave of absence and it seemed to indicate you pay whenever they appear in your locker room. (as a paid vacation for a worker includes appearance fees for any show produced while they were on Leave.) So essentially a paid vacation for PPA workers is an appearance fee for any show while they were gone as they would have been in the locker room otherwise. </p><p> </p><p> I'm confused, which is it? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  3. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="BrokenCycle" data-cite="BrokenCycle" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>This is the biggest con for me when playing with no face/heel divide: <p> </p><p> In this game with divide off, face and heels just simply don't exist. Which, for literally every wrestling promotion in history is just not true. New Japan has faces and heels. ROH in its prime had faces and heels. They were just a little bit more fluid in their booking approach to give the feeling that it was a real sport. </p><p> </p><p> This is something that I think should be retooled in the next version (or ideally THIS VERSION) of the game. When booking matches, you just have a gigantic list of people. With the divide on, it's a lot more organized.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> While that may in a technical sense be true that NJPW and AJPW have heels and faces, some of their most classic matches have been between faces (Jushin Liger vs Tiger Mask for example). Puroresu fans think nothing of seeing two faces/heels in a match. Or even tag team partners facing each other one week and teaming up again to defend their titles the next with absolutely no animosity (Mayu Iwatame and Io Shirai who even promo'd the match they were having against each other together as a team and talked about their upcoming title defense as a tag team in the same promo). It's just not a big deal.</p><p> And even with that turned off, your workers can still portray gimmicks. Heck they can portray gimmicks when they have no effect due to company product. Which is kind of how I see NJPW/AJPW working. They portray their character and the audience just roots for who they feel like regardless.</p><p> </p><p> P.S. Especially when AJPW had the Heavenly Road arc going. Misawa Mitsuharu, Kawada Toshiaki, Taue Akira and Kobashi Kenta all teamed up, fought each other, and turned face/heel (in the sense we refer to it) on a weekly basis it seemed like as all four were out to clain the title in a epic four way story line.</p><p> P.P.S. Found a really cool article on King's Road if you want to read about it:</p><p> <a href="https://puroresuspirit.wordpress.com/2011/01/11/wrestling-heavenly-road-1990s-ajpw/" rel="external nofollow">https://puroresuspirit.wordpress.com/2011/01/11/wrestling-heavenly-road-1990s-ajpw/</a></p>
  4. Glad you liked it Now, I had a Worker come to me (or rather my assistant window) with a morale issue. I talked to them and they were upset about their poor gimmick. So I look at their gimmick window ... it's their default gimmick. Basically the one they wanted to use. (I never gave it to them) What do you do about this?
  5. https://missouriwrestlingrevival.com/2009/11/23/chapter-10-booking-101-by-matt-murphy/ I'd highly recommend this series for a RL perspective on Booking, from a guy who co-produced with Harley Race. It also gives a sense of verisimilitude to the game as many relevant points come across in game rather well.
  6. Thanks! That's a very misleading name for a cheat code vault. I thought it had something to do with playing on your phone.
  7. Where, prithee, are the cheat codes? And how would one go about applying them? Not that I'd cheat, just curious.
  8. Is it 20 you can get the higher performance ceiling? I've been putting matches at 21mins. just to be safe. Like, when the road note description says a technical masterclass match has to be at least 15mins. And you set the match to 15mins. (Mostly because your best technician has a Stamina C-) But then the result note says the match was too short. So I set it at 16mins. and all is good (but the worker gets stamina loss).
  9. I use DAZ (a lot) <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Sometimes I just make characters/wrestlers that pop into my head and never know what to do with them. <em>Is there anyplace to put renders that anyone can use for TEW?</em> Also, I found the re-render thread for the C-verse. That's the universe I like to play in the most. <em>If I re-imagine a character from there is there a rule for posting those? </em>

It is in their personality make-up. A combination (that I'm guessing sways far from the mercenary side).</p>

  12. <p>:confused:I had Simmering Tension with a Referee. He was also Selfish and had a negative qualifier in the notables box for Backstage. I let him go (non-exclusive PPA).</p><p> </p><p> BUT, his Selfish penalty still shows up on my Backstage screen <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p><em> How can I get rid of that? </em></p><p> </p><p> He doesn't show up on my Roster since I fired/let him go.</p>
  13. Managers. It is quite disappointing to have had happen. Results in penalties everytime they show up together.
  14. Is there a way to fix poor chemistry between two workers? I created a husband/wife duo and when they debut it turns out they have poor chemistry together.
  15. Open-ended Angles? Can you write an angle to have an unknown number of participants? Like, at the end of a lot of puroresu shows I have watched there is an "ending ceremony" where almost all of the workers come out ot the ring. They pass the mic around and thank the audience and then the 'star' of the show (usually the winner of the main event, or a major title holder) gives a longer thank you and tells the audience where the next show will be. To simulate this I would need to craft an angle for each show as there is never a set number. A show with more tag teams has more workers than a show with mostly singles matches. Or, some shows just run longer if it is weekly or annual. Can I just write one angle and leave the number of workers open-ended somehow?

  17. <p>I can answer #2. </p><p> You don't <em>need</em> any popularity. </p><p> I start out with 0 in all regions and run shows basically anywhere that I can afford. Even Broadcast them using a PPV channel. </p><p> A live audience of 11 <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Than ks <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  19. A question regarding contracts: I have been reading this thread and noticed many times it is noted that a talent will wait six months before resigning a contract with you. My entire roster is currently on a nine month PPA. If I had to wait six months to resign everybody this would be disastrous. Is there anyway to avoid this calamity?
  20. <p>It was the retail version of 1.41.</p><p> </p><p> (Which was why it overwrote all the edits I made while using the trial version).</p><p> </p><p> Will post screens when I get back home tomorrow.</p>
