  2. How Bad of a Financial position do they need to be for me to do a takeover as they are never in a bad enough position as i use the in game editor to make them loose money and pop.

A lot depends on how old the company is and the personality of the current owner. Size is a factor, too. Larger companies are going to be given more leeway; "Well, it's been a bad month, once they get a better TV deal, they're SURE to turn things around."

  3. So, ran a Southwest Tag Tournament (El Paso counts as "SOUTHWEST" even if it's not officially in what the game considers "Southwest") and that Tournament feature works really nicely once you get the hang of it.

Also, Dear Foxy LaRue- please stop showing up high.

Should she have to go to rehab or get fired, who's a good replacement leader for Ronin 3, either temporary or permanent? Admittedly, a lot of this would depend on chemistry, as ideally you want Vinny Cruz to manage all 3 members, but otherwise.

Raquel Alvarado is the obvious choice, but Pamela Rojo could fit with a heel turn as well. Free agent wise, I can't think of anyone with enough pop to make them a credible who's both a good heel and would fit in thematically. Maybe Steph Blake.

  4. I think you may have to use them onscreen in some capacity to maintain their momentum. Otherwise, it'll move toward the mean and with nothing to counter it, that mean is probably 'neutral'. I have everyone at Warm or Very Warm because I use my announcers and road agents in angles ('Talking Smack'-like segment at the end of the show).

I figured it was something like that. It's weird, they all started with Neutral momentum.

  5. Starting momentum? As far as I know, yes, as momentum is set with contracts in the database. If you have a manager that you feel should have hot momentum check the database to make sure their contract has it set that way.

That said, I've noticed that managers gain momentum and popularity VERY fast, especially in smaller promotions. For instance, I assigned Haley Buck as the manager of Dreadnought and Juggernaut Jones, and have had them do squash matches for basically 6 straight matches. The tag team are both recognizable with warm momentum whereas Buck is already well known with hot momentum.

No, I'm in February. My announcers and one road agent all have cooled momentum. My onscreen commissioner is doing pretty well, though.

  6. On the plus side, I'm getting very good luck with tag chemistry. Ashley & Alina, Shah & Modesty, and Millie and new hire Connie Morris. Even if with keeping all the reigning champions free to defend their titles at Starshow, as is customary for that PPV, I'd just need to borrow one team from someone to run a tag team tournament (I'd use the Southwest Tag belt render, save the Global Tag for the inevitable brand split). That's assuming I don't find two others with good tag chemistry.
  7. Hi!

The title says it all. I would really like if it was possible to revive a dead promotion instead of creating a new one.

Not that I've been able to deduce. At best, you can buy their titles, but TV shows, event names, and the name of the company would need slightly different names. Maybe that would be something to suggest for the next game. After all, if Cody can buy up a bunch of expired WCW trademarks for AEW, the player should be able to do the same thing in a game.

  8. QAW is fun, and I love the "Not strictly enforced" face/ heel divide, but I've been having a bit of difficulty increasing pop. Not losing pop, mind you, but I can't always hit that sweet spot with my weekly shows. Admittedly, I'm playing with Industry/Economy turned on, and the former isn't great (it's basically on because the latter is really strong).

I'm starting to use talent trades with CILL to bring in people to job out on a short term basis. They'll be thrilled for Pamela Rojo, and in return, you can bring in Antonia Andreas to eat a few pins.

I'm debating joining COTT. That's something I always did in 2016, mainly because the way I ran shows, I'd easily and inadvertently run other companies out of business. The way spillover and regional battles work in 2020 makes that less of an issue, however. Still, getting access to the female workers of OLLIE and CZCW is certainly a perk, especially now that you can bring over tag teams instead of one worker at a time.

  9. Okay, need about 6 male babyfaces to balance out the roster on OLLIE. I've floated offers to Sabra Man Jr. and Edo Phoenix IV (because you need several active wrestlers with "Phoenix" in their name on an OLLIE roster, this is non-negotiable); who else should I hire? I generally prefer to hire unemployed workers, but aside from that, I'm pretty open as long as they can work tecnico.
  10. And it appears to be random. I started a second save after Wolf Hawkins went on hiatus 3 weeks into my first one. In the second game, the economy is about 65ish and falling, but the industry is at 75ish and rising...might be vice-versa...but I'm making an obscene amount of money...in February I'm anticipating 12-15 million profit as medium sized TCW.

If it can't be altered via the editor, you might be able to add a narrative that boosts the economy and/or industry.

Yeah, economy/ industry is one of those things that is randomized at the start of each game.

  15. <p>First, Koji Kojima was framed. FRAMED!</p><p> </p><p>

Second, and this kind of ties in to the first, I'm disappointed that Def-Realm isn't still around in some fashion.</p><p> </p><p>

Third, with Reaver gone (and Laura Flame tied up with CWA even if he wasn't), I'm less likely to try and start a "joshidora" division.</p><p> </p><p>

On the upside, I'm glad the new owner hasn't decided to drastically change the product. It's still a bit goofy, and not as taxing on the workers as other Japanese companies.</p>

  16. I started out my demo save looking for more known workers and lost a few bidding wars before heading the other way and looking young/unproven talent. As others have said, development deal came quick and a weekly show on an internet broadcaster had us making consistently solid shows. I also bought the MPWF belt and am gonna rebrand that sucker.

Doctor Tecnico looks like a solid prospect. And it's about time we had a "Doctor Tecnico" in the game. Someone had better get him and Dr. Rudo in the same company and run a money feud between those two!

In 2016, when I played OLLIE, I would usually try to stick to Mexican workers, unless they were gimmicky as Hell. Now, in 2020, what with the roster including the American Cobras and some ACPW guys, I might break that rule a bit.
