QAW. Fun product, lots of potential for growth, and I like how there are enough QAW title belt renders that I could do a brand split if I wanted.
I'm also fond of SWF, TCW, and AAA.

Really glad to hear about the playtesting, especially in regards to running companies in areas with a shallow talent pool. I once tried to do a European women's company, and doing so without several cheats was insanely frustrating.

Another thing- sweeps. Here in the states, the months of November, February, and May are when the networks renegotiate with advertisers. This was originally referred to as "Sweeps Week", but gradually expanded out to the whole month. These are the times you see "special episodes", big budget mini-series, specials, and the like. Now, in the age of cable and then streaming, it's not quite as big a deal as it used to be, but old habits die hard.

For non- sporting events, the Academy Awards comes to mind.

Well, whatever the story, I'm gonna use 'em. I'm about to start a Lucha Libre Es Diversion game, and I'll need some titles. Mexican POW, here I come!
-
I've been getting back into the Thunderverse (needed a bit of a palette cleanser and a break from the C-Verse) and I had a question. Looking over the title belts available to purchase, I noticed several Mexican titles, Campeonato Nacional. But there doesn't seem to be a corresponding company. Is there any story to these? My first thought was "Maybe CLLM had a different set of championships...?" but comparing the title histories, they run concurrently, to say nothing of the fact that there's a Campeonato Nacional de Feminil (forgive my spelling if I screwed up anything), whereas it doesn't appear that CLLM ever had a women's division.

I HAVE found some success with using guys with a Decent Hardcore score and an ability they're listed as Good at in a Hardcore Style match with a match aim suited to their latter ability- i.e., Wild Brawl for Brawlers, High Spots for High Fliers, etc. This isn't a surefire trick, but it's better than nothing.

Anyone have any ideas for the pairing of Yuma Maruya and Rei Chikanatsu for a 5SSW game?
-
Started my first C-Verse game with NOTBPW, got fired in March for falling to Cult despite constantly putting on better shows than USPW. Is there any way to win the National Battle without relying on gamey stuff like talent trades? It's weird that straight up star power counts so much more than actually putting on good shows.
Not that I know of.

You can turn off the industry/ economy effects in the options screen.

What's the wrestling industry and economy like?

For example Cactus Jack in my game is a Brawler but he has a high hardcore rating so it would be cool if he wouldn't complain that booking him in a hardcore match doesn't play to his strengths. So basically if he was primarily a brawler but with hardcore tendencies or something like that.

I believe that if Brawling isn't their best skill is when they'll complain. For instance, if they're a good Brawler but a Great Technical Wrestler.

How do you prepare for the move from regional to cult? Do you focus on two specific regions then wish for a national tv deal or spread the popularity? How much money do you need for the upgrade for regional to cult and how much do expenses go up?
A lot of it depends on where specifically you're located and what TV options, if any, are available. For instance, when playing QAW or CZCW, I usually try to just plow ahead to Cult as fast as possible, since you can then get on Canal Dos with no other requirements. For a company like AAA, I just stay at Regional and grind away until I've got enough money to start a network.
-
That's a lot, but short answer, put on good matches and shows with wrestlers who fit your product, preferably on a network with decent coverage in your home nation.
-
For me, it's Amber Allen, Brooke Tyler, and Lauren Easter in NOTBPW. With the way pushes are being changed, I could see any of them filling a Becky or Charlotte role.
-
And regarding the lack of prospects for ACPW, it's not a huge deal. There's a good chance that the bigger companies will cut some of their guys who'd fit right in in ACPW, like Velocidad (fairly sure he works in Canada), Jacob Jett, Sonny Wildside, etc.
-
Assuming you're talking about the default C-Verse database, I'm almost positive about the latter two. I've played quite a bit of AAA, and I believe it's the Theater of Dreams and Oregon Gardens that are the big venues for each state.
-
Especially with the ego Puerto Rican Power has. I could absolutely see him going, "Well, Shawn did some good stuff, but at the end of the day, people were paying to see ME."
-
Just because someone founded the company doesn't mean they'll stick around. Just look at Jeff Jarrett and TNA/ Impact.

I think I might have to add CILL to my list of least favorites. "Hey, do you want to run a company that's exactly like OLLIE but with less money, less popularity, a less talented roster, and a worse backstage with all of this being in a harder area, with absolutely nothing to balance that out? Then have we got a promotion for you!"

If the tsunami from May 2016 becomes canon then maybe it'll kill off MJM.
Nah. At the very least, EX2010 and WLW have the cash to ride things out.
-
Trying WLW again with a new playthrough- what does everyone do with the stables? Do you add any members to the existing ones (though it's not like the 505 NEEDS anymore), or do you start a few new ones?
