2. Another thing- sweeps. Here in the states, the months of November, February, and May are when the networks renegotiate with advertisers. This was originally referred to as "Sweeps Week", but gradually expanded out to the whole month. These are the times you see "special episodes", big budget mini-series, specials, and the like. Now, in the age of cable and then streaming, it's not quite as big a deal as it used to be, but old habits die hard.
  3. I've been getting back into the Thunderverse (needed a bit of a palette cleanser and a break from the C-Verse) and I had a question. Looking over the title belts available to purchase, I noticed several Mexican titles, Campeonato Nacional. But there doesn't seem to be a corresponding company. Is there any story to these? My first thought was "Maybe CLLM had a different set of championships...?" but comparing the title histories, they run concurrently, to say nothing of the fact that there's a Campeonato Nacional de Feminil (forgive my spelling if I screwed up anything), whereas it doesn't appear that CLLM ever had a women's division.
  4. Started my first C-Verse game with NOTBPW, got fired in March for falling to Cult despite constantly putting on better shows than USPW. Is there any way to win the National Battle without relying on gamey stuff like talent trades? It's weird that straight up star power counts so much more than actually putting on good shows.

    Not that I know of.

For example Cactus Jack in my game is a Brawler but he has a high hardcore rating so it would be cool if he wouldn't complain that booking him in a hardcore match doesn't play to his strengths. So basically if he was primarily a brawler but with hardcore tendencies or something like that.

I believe that if Brawling isn't their best skill is when they'll complain. For instance, if they're a good Brawler but a Great Technical Wrestler.

  6. How do you prepare for the move from regional to cult? Do you focus on two specific regions then wish for a national tv deal or spread the popularity? How much money do you need for the upgrade for regional to cult and how much do expenses go up?

A lot of it depends on where specifically you're located and what TV options, if any, are available. For instance, when playing QAW or CZCW, I usually try to just plow ahead to Cult as fast as possible, since you can then get on Canal Dos with no other requirements. For a company like AAA, I just stay at Regional and grind away until I've got enough money to start a network.
