I'm hoping for a bonus track from Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives. And I'm not too worried about what songs are or aren't on this year's playlist, because any thematic holes are probably already filled by the first Rock Band or any of the DLC that can be ported over to the new game. If by some miracle there's still some particular genre or era that you think they've missed, it's likely to be released as DLC before Rock Band 3 gets announced. Although I can't help but wish that we get some Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, They Might Be Giants, Shonen Knife, Lemon Demon, and Johnny Cash.

Wait, I'm a bit of an outsider to GnR, but would that be the first track from the fabled Chinese Democracy album?! Oh, and it hasn't been revealed yet, but Third Eye Blind is ramping up to be in Rock Band 2 (DLC). There's some issues with whether they use the original masters and do legal battle with Kevin Cadogan again, or re-record with their current line-up.

Hopefully it will be a good rocker. Don't expect AFD style of songs though. If you can get past the fact that this a New Guns N Roses band you will be fine. I am long time Guns fan and I enjoy the new leaks that came out as they are different and still sound pretty good. Plus the new band can play the hell out of the old songs in my opinion. But I shouldn't get to excited for Rock Band 2 cause here in Australia we haven't even got Rock Band 1 yet. Apparently its due out in September. So we may get Rock Band 2 some time next year at an extremely overpriced amount considering our dollar is lik 96 cents American games are still like double the amount.
when is Chinese Democracy supposed to be released? Does it have a date?
Hahahah a release date...no it doesn't have a release date yet... :( But since a song is gonna be on Rock Band 2 it surely means it aint too far away. If it gets released this year than all those Americans can get their free can of that god awful stuff Dr Pepper!
Some of those songs are awesome. Quite how some of the others have been deemed remotely worthy to feature in that list both shocks and appalls me, however . Shame it's all singles..
Harmonix games have never really been about making a "best of" compilation. They look for songs that are iconic, songs from iconic bands, and then throw in a ton of stuff that they think will just be fun. There are a lot of songs that have been deliberately overlooked by the Rock Band development team because they're looking for songs that give all four players a chance to enjoy themselves rather than just one or two members of the band. And whole albums have already been released as DLC, and more are in the pipe. It's understandable that they wouldn't put full albums on the main disc. When you've got eighty-something songs, why take up a sixth of that list with one band? If I absolutely loathe Foo Fighters and there's a single Foo Fighters track in the game, that's not a deal breaker. But knowing that I'd have to play through an entire album of Foo Fighters songs to complete the game would drive my hypothetical Foo Fighters-hating self up a wall and most likely prevent me from buying the game. Releasing albums as DLC means that only fans are going to get a dozen or more tracks from a particular band rather than having those tracks forced on everyone else.

Also, apparently the Game drops before the Bundle. So when the game drops I'm buying it instantly. In fact I'm going to go preorder it this week. And for the record... DR PEPPER is the shiznit. And rockband is gonna be released on 360 in September and PS3 sometime later this year.. So I guess I'm getting the 360 version.

The only way I can get it sooner would be to buy a PS3 and import it.
