Personally I think it might make sense for Main events to be a big longer because that'd reflect them being longer than earlier matches and the heightened interest the reader likely has in them.

I mean Vince McMahon has defeated everyone in his path. Verne Gagne,Ted Turner, Eric Bischoff and even the US Legal System and hell even me at one point. But the one thing that Vince McMahon cannot buy or defeat is the spirit of ECW. The spirit that is still here tonight. Because on behalf of every wrestler that wanted to be hardcore rather than a superstar, on behalf of every wrestler who lived the dream and foght the fight, the tribe of extreme has risen again. When I got ECW back, people thought it was an angle, it was a gimmick, but let me assure you it isn’t. The fact we’re here tonight on a WWE schuelded PPV and have since taken this bitch over surprises the hell out of me. ECW is back. We’re not a brand, we’re not Raw, we’re not Smackdown, we’re not even TNA. We’re back. ECW lives once again and tonight it all begins here. Tonight fans all over the world, those who knew about us and those who were spoonfed the garbage of the WWE, will experience what each and everyone of you know, that when talking about wrestling it begins and ends with 3 letters. E...C...W. This comeback, this didn’t happen because of me, it didn’t happen because of Vince McMahon, hell it didn’t happen due to my legal team, thank’s by the way. It’s all you guys, if the phrase “by popular demand” ever reigned true, this is it. Because you made me want to bring ECW back and it’s back for you all and better than ever. I mean we’re on PPV right now...and as some of you may have heard, ECW is going to be back on National TV this September, with a much better deal, on FX. Tonight, ECW’s return is complete. So lets bring it home, this is better than Raw, this is better than Smackdown, and it’s better than any other “wrestling” show out there today. Welcome to the rebirth of ECW.

The new ECW opening video airs, and inside the ring is Joey Styles welcoming us to the show formally. Suddenly familar music hits and out walks Jerry Lawler to a chorus of boos. Joey looks pissed Lawler has encroached on his opening. Styles asks “Why are you out here?” Lawler grabs the mic, “Styles, you want to come out here and pretend to be an announcer? You’ve always been minor league, calling this garbage by yourself and all these idiot marks out here bought into it. ECW, Extremely Crappy Wrestling has always produced nobodies, hasbeens and drug addicts and I’m glad a real group like the WWE has nothing to do with it. But you wanna know why I’m out here. When you decided to shoot on me and try to make me look like an idiot on Raw. Try to look like a bad ass. Well I never gave you a recipt.”

Lawler slaps Styles in the face, knocking him on the floor to a huge roar of disaporval. Lawler drops Styles and goes to lunge at Taz, who proptly ducks under the Lawler right hand and locks him in the Tazmission. Within seconds Lawler is on the floor and choked out. Taz raises his hands to a huge roar of approval as he has shockingly jumped ship to ECW. Styles and Taz hug as the duo make their way to the Bird’s Nest of Hammerstein where Joey thanks Taz and the duo hype our opening contest.

http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee147/tony2008_01/Sabu.jpghttp://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc267/Mr_EWR/ValVenis.jpg

Sabu vs. “Superstar” Sean Morley

If there was a more perfect match to begin the relaunch of ECW it was this. It was old ECW vs. new ECW. The crowd was seemingly split down the middle as these two veterans of the ring wars locked horns. Unlike many of Sabu’s opponents, Morley forced Sabu to wrestle his style early on, using a lot of technical techniques to control Sabu early on. Morley worked Sabu over with quite a few heavy strikes but these strikes would quickly turn the tide as Sabu landed a big step up kick on Morley’s head. Sabu now pounded Morley with the offense he became notorious for. Sabu brought in the first chair of the night and nailed Morley with a stiff chair throw to the head. He then pounded Morley with the chair before nailing the Arabian Facebuster, which Morley kicked out of. Sabu then attempted another Facebuster but Morley move out of the way and nailed a Blue Thunder Bomb for the 2. Morley slammed Sabu on the chair and went to the top rope and did his signature hip swivel, before looking at the fans smiling and shouting “**** That ****” and going for a splash, which Sabu moved out of. Sabu then quickly sets the chair up and nails the Triple Jump Moonsault. Morley gets a shoulder up barley. Sabu goes to the outside and sets up a table between the guardrail and ring. Sabu tries to raise Morley but Morley nails Sabu in the gut and attempts the maneuver he calls “The Sean-shank Redemption” a double underhook lifting DDT, but Sabu rolls out of the way and nails a DDT of his own. Sabu moves Morley onto the table and signals for another Triple Jump Moonsault. Sabut gets the second jump off but Morley somehow catches Sabu on the top rope and nails The Sean-shank Redemption in a fallback motion through the table. Both men are out of it. But Morley slowly rises and rolls Sabu into the ring and somehow gets the 3 count in a good match with a devistating finish. Following the match, the crowd applauds both men as Morley offers his hand to Sabu, who quickly shakes it as an angry Sabu leaves the ring. Morley bows to the crowd and thanks them as he’s passed his first test as an ECW athlete.

Styles and Taz hype Morley as a man who will be the future of ECW for sure. The FBI contingent, now featuring “The Full Bodied Italian” Trinity from TNA got a decent enough reaction. However the dream team of Crazy and Tajiri had the fans salivating. Early on in the bout, Tony Mamaluke was taken aback by the lucha based wrestling of Super Crazy and the stiff kicks of Tajiri and their shocking chemestry together. Little Guido encountered similar troubles early on, but an assett fro Trinity and her assetts on Tajiri, Guido and the FBI took control on the “Japanese Buzzsaw”. Guido and Mamaluke made several quick tags to take it to Tajiri. The duo did damage to Tajiri’s back by locking him in a double Boston Crab. Guido continued to work Tajiri’s back and legs, locking him in a single leglock followed by a series of kicks and kneedrops. Guido attempts to naile Tajiri with the Sicilian Slice, Tajiri pushes Guido into the ropes and nails a handspring elbow leading to the hot tag to Crazy. Crazy comes in like a house of fire and quickly enough all 4 men are in the ring. Guido ducks to the outside as Crazy and Tajiri double team Mamaluke. Tajiri signals for the green mists and goes to mist Mamaluke but Mamaluke ducks under and Crazy gets misted by accident. In runs in Guido who nails a stiff German suplex of Tajiri and throws him to the outside. Guido and Mamaluke put Crazy on the top rope and the duo nail a double Muscle Buster for the victory. As the FBI celebrated and Tajiri checked on Super Crazy, from the back runs down another new ECW face, Trevor Murdoch with chair in hand. Murdoch rolls into the ring and procedes to nail Tajiri in the head with the chair. He then nails Tony Mamaluke in the head as well. Guido mouths off the Murdoch who gets a chair shot of his own. Super Crazy slowly rises and Murdoch nails him in the gut and nails him with an amazing front flip piledriver. A huge “Holy ****” chant breaks out as Murdoch puts his cap back on and asks for a mic.

If there’s one damn thing I hate it’s a dirty Mexican. And I’m gonna keep everybody’s ass here. Mexican, Chinaman, I-talian, A-rab, Colored. Whatever. Hell I may even fight a white guy or two. All you people canboo me as much as you want.....SHUT THE HELL UP. You see I’m susposed to come out here and pretend I hate ECW and all its fans. But the beauty of it is I really do hate everybody here. All you people are why the public hates pro wrestling. A bunch of fat ugly smelly idiots who like watching men bleed and blindly shout “ECW ECW”. And they watch a group of guys backstage who are either a bunch of flippy midgets, has beens, never weres and guys who could never cut it in the WWE. Cause thats who I work for. The greatest Sports Entertainment company ever. The company that up until a few months ago owned ECW. And Paul Heyman, the biggest joke ever in wrestling, can thank his daddy for stealing the ruins of this garbage from Vince McMahon. But you fans shouldn’t be so excited, it’s only gonna be a matter of time before Heyman is bouncing checks again and their show gets ****canned again and everything and Vince McMahon will buy this piece of **** once again. Cause ECW will never be on the WWE’s level and everyone here, Paul Heyman and all you fans will never be on my level. Because I am a self made millionaire, I have a best selling book, a radio show and as you all know...a wrestlllinnnnnggg GOD. And as a result of that little midget up there deciding to quit, the new color commentator of Smackdown is added on that list. So on that note, as I’ve said my peace, I’ll leave this piece of garbage once and for all never to ever come back and if anybody back there wants to try and be a hero, they can come on down and Ill drop you like a fat Dudley boy. So ECW, I bid you farewell, and I hope all you losers out there enjoy your garbage in this ring cause thats all ECW is. But Mysterio attempted a spinning hurricanrana, Kennedy blocked it and nailed Mysterio with a tun gun variation. Kennedy then went to work and used his weight advantage to work over Mysterio. Kennedy battered Mysterio with a series of snap suplexes and back breaker variations. Kennedy nailed Mysterio with a stiff German suplex and rolled through and locked Mysterio in a dragon sleeper. After nearly passing out Mysterio countered by headscissoring Kennedy into the ropes and attempted a jump up hurricanrana onto Kennedy’s shoulders, but Kennedy dropped Mysterio to the outside of the ring. Kennedy brought Mysterio back into the ring and continued to work on his back in a flurry of offense, ending with a stiff STO for a 2 count. Kennedy gives Rey a hard whip into the corner and misses a splash. Mysterio nails him with a hurricanrana into the corner and nails him with the Bronco Buster. A dazed Kennedy walks into a dropkick into between the ropes and Rey goes for the 619 and hits it, but fails to nail the West Coast Pop as Kennedy catches him with a powerbomb and powerbombs him into the corner. Kennedy then gives Mysterio a facewash and procedes to call for the match’s end. He grabs Rey and takes him up for the Green Bay Plunge, but Rey somehow blocks it and nails a huge sunset flip bomb, which causes Kennedy to stumble between the ropes, allowing Rey to hit the 619 and follow up with a big splash for the win. The crowd cheers the former ECW star as he retained his title as Mysterio bows to the fans in a sign of respect and appriciation. Edge and Foley with Lita entered to a huge amount of heat and the duo proceded to shower themselves in the heat. But Dreamer and Funk countered Lita by brining out Dreamer’s wife Beulah McGuilicutty. Beulah took the mic and proclaimed Lita as a “skanky bitch” and the catfight began, sending the 2 quickly to the outside. In the ring the 4 warriors quickly began to brawl all over the arena. Edge and Dreamer went around ringside, with Edge quickly falling to Dreamer who was given chairs, pans, toilet seats and even a boating oar to batter Edge with, as Edge attempted to fight back. Despite this, Dreamer consistently took his weapon use to outdo Edge. Meanwhile in the ring, longtime friends and foes Foley and Funk squared off in a series of fisticuffs. Funk quickly took an advantage backdroping Foley through the time keeper’s table. Funk took it to Foley with a chair before rolling him in the inside of the ring. Foley however grabbed his barb wire wrapped 2x4 and nailed Funk in the stomach and back with it several times. Foley then took the barb wire off and wrapped his fist in it and quickly began to beat Funk’s face with it. Funk was gushing blood in and around his left eye. Paramedics came down and escorted Funk backstage. It was seemingly Dreamer now fighting for himself. Dreamer, with singapore cane in hand took turns taking it to Edge and Foley, but the numbers game quickly changed as Edge quickly speared Dreamer. Foley and Edge took turns attacking Dreamer with chairs, the cane and the barbwire bat, opening Dreamer up in the process. Fans grew silent as a bloody Dreamer seemingly looked to be out of it. However the crowd lost their minds when out from the back came Terry Funk holding a flamining barb wire 2x4. Funk came in and nailed both men with the flaming board and the crowd went nuts as Foley’s shirt was visably on fire before it was put out by referee John Finnegan. Funk and Dreamer brought a huge board covered in barb wire into the ring and the duo promptly threw a now bloody Foley through the board to a huge chant of “ECDub”. Dreamer raised Edge and nailed him with the DDT. Foley slowly rose and he and Funk began to brawl again on the ring apron, where another barb wire board sat feet away. As Dreamer rose , Edge somehow got up and speared Dreamer into the ropes, into Funk and Foley who went into the barb wire board. As Funk and Foley screamed in agaony as referees and attendants worked to cut the 2 out, Edge and Dreamer slowly rose and a slugfest insued, ending with Edge missing a spear and going into the corner allowing Dreamer to nail him with the Spicoli Driver. Dreamer then got some barbwire and proceded to wrap it around Edge’s face and in his mouth and locked him in a crossface variation as the blood was flowing from Edge. In came in Lita who jumped on Dreamer to break the move up. Dreamer flipped Lita off his shoulders and went for his infamous piledriver but as he lifted her he motioned to Beulah. In came in Beulah who nailed Lita with a DDT. Dreamer smiled at his wife and the 2 hugged. Unbeknost to Dreamer, Edge had risen and wrapped the barbwire around Dreamer’s forehead and drove him down with an Edgeucator. Beulah checked on Tommy, only to be speared by Edge. Edge smirked over the damage he had done. In rolled in Foley, seemingly pissed at what Edge had done to Beulah. Foley is yelling at Edge and turns his back on Edge, who promptly nails him with the barb wire ball bat. Edge then nails Foley with the Implant DDT. However, in comes Funk who challenges Edge to start brawling to a huge “**** Em Up Terry **** Em Up” chant. Edge nails Funk who refuses to go down several times, doing his dramatic barley able to stand poses. As Edge backs up to spear the legend, he takes off...only to have Foley leap infront of his mentor to take the spear. Edge has a look of shear anger and hapiness as he looks over his now former partner. Edge taunts Foley when out of nowhere, Dreamer turns Edge around and nails him with a DDT onto a barbwire chair. Dreamer points to Funk climbs the top rope and nails the Funksault to a huge “TERRY” chant as the crowd goes crazy. Dreamer pulls Funk up and over Edge and counts along with the referee 1...2...3. The crowd goes insane as the ECW originals take the upset win over Edge and Foley. As Edge is help out by Lita, an elated Dreamer and emotional Funk celebrate in the ring. As Foley rises, he looks solomly in the eyes of Dreamer and Foley, we mouths to the 2 he’s sorry and after a few seconds the 3 hug and raise hands to a thundering ovation as a “Foley” chant

begins.

Styles and Taz hype this bout as one of the true great all time extreme wars in ECW history. Styles and Taz hype Charlie’s past as a wrestler at Seton Hall and his past in ECW (he and late brother Russ wrestled several bouts before the company closed) and now Haas was in ECW to prove his worth. Tanaka and Balls started off in a relatively weak brawl, with both men looking gased rather early on. Haas stood on the ring apron waiting for his opportunity. Balls and Tanaka took it to the outside, most notably with Balls nailing Tanaka with a beer. Tananka gets rolled in and Balls hits his series of punches and nails him with a superkick. He goes for the Nutcracker Suite but Tanaka rolls out of it and shoves Balls into the ropes and nails him with the Roaring Elbow for the pin and Balls in quickly eliminated. In comes Haas and a huge “CHARLIE” chant starts up. Haas takes Tananka down with a double leg takedown. Haas rolls onto Tannka and locks him in a front face lock before picking him up and nailing a drop down DDT. Haas begins to work over Tanaka with some real solid puro stiff chops and strikes and nailing him with a series of overhead suplexes and a big Judgement slam. Tanaka nails Haas with a dropkick out of nowhere and calls for another Roaring Elbow. Haas goes into the ropes and slides behind Tanaka and takes down both of Tanaka’s legs and locks him in the Haas Of Pain. Tananka however is able to get to the ropes. Haas waits for Tananka to rise and nails him in the gut with a stiff spin kick. Haas then sets up Tanaka for a Burning Hammer and turns it into a DDT, knocking Tanaka out and getting Haas the win. Suddenly, the crowd loses it as over the loud speaker we hear the 3 most famous words in ECW.

WELL WELL WELL.

From the back walks Joel Gertner, in full regala with The Dudleys behind him. “Gertner” chants fill the arena as Gertner takes the mic again. “ECW One Night Stand 2, it is the time you’ve been waiting for. Because it is the return of I, the quitessential studdmuffin a good lord damn handsome man, and a man who who puts down more ***** than the ASPCA, Joel “Im the one they want to pork, when I roll into New York. And with ECW back on pey per view, it’s time you all got to see your favorite Jew. Cause when I come into the place, all the girls want to sit on my face.” Gertner. Now that we've introduced the winners, get readt to witness the first hate crime ever commited on pay per view as the Dudleys are about to kill 5 gay men.

In run in The Dudleys right into the lions den and the duo are immeditly attacked by Johnny, Nick, Kenny and Mikey with Mitch shouting instructions with his megaphone. The 4 put the boots to the Dudleys as Bubba and D-Von attempt to fight out of it, nailing some big shots. The Dudleys punch their way loose and end up backdroping Nick and Mikey to the outside as they start brawling with Kenny and Johnny until Mitch nails Bubba in the back of the head with the megaphone. D-Von takes a swing at him but Johnny connects with a stiff twisting karate kick, flooring D-Von. Nick and Mikey come back in and the 5 now begin to beat down the Dudleys in this totally unfair fight. The crowd is full on booing and chanting for the Dudleys as the Squad break out chairs to start taking it to the Dudleys. Suddenly “Highway To Hell” hits and out stomps Spike Dudley to a huge reaction. Spike comes in with a kendo stick and procedes to nail Mitch and Kenny in the face with it before nailing the other 3 with elbows to the face. Spike then nails Nick with an Acid Drop off the chest of Johnny. He goes to nail one on Johnny but is thrown off but Johnny and walks into a chairshot by Mikey. Mikey puts the boots to Spike as his team mates get back up and bring in tables. Bubba and D-Von, however now get back on their feet and they begin brawling with Nick and Mitch. But within minutes, the 2 are nailed in the back by simultanious chairshots to the back as the Dudleys fall to the mat. Spike attempts to run to dash to save his brothers but walks into a stiff boot from Kenny. Kenny and Johnny pick Spike up and nail a vicious spike powerbomb through the table on Spike. Spike folds up and is kicked to the outsieof the ring. Once again the Dudleys are seemingly out of it against these insurmountable odds as the Squad take turns beating them down and celebrating and doing cheers to the nearly rabid fans. Taz and Styles wonder if anyone will come to aid them. Suddenly...a song everyone knows hits and the crowd goes crazy...

<param name="movie" value="

name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src="

type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">

“Is it...no it can't be....he's in jail....OH MY GOD.....IT'S NEW JACK!!!” The crowd is absolutly insane as “The Original Gangsta” shockingly makes his way down the isle with a HUGE garbage can full of weapons. A look of absolute terror is seen on the face of the Spirit Squad as Jack throws the can into the ring. Jack runs in and nails Nick with a left. He picks up a trash can lid and nails Johnny with it. Kenny gets nailed with a road sign. Nick takes another left and is nailed with a frying pan. The crowd is losing it. Mikey walks into a shot with a keyboard, with the keys flying everywhere. Mitch takes a swing with the megaphone but Jack ducks under and nails him with a left and nails him with the garbage can. Jack then takes a cookie sheet and puts it over the privates of Mitch and NAILS it with a golf club as Mitch leaps in pain to the outside. Kenny runs at Jack and gets a staple to the face. Nick, Mikey and Johnny all meet the same face as a “Staples” chant starts. The crowd is insane as all 3 Dudleys rise back up and see Jack. Jack looks at them and shouts “What's up”. In an unlikley move, The Dudleys and New Jack, one of ECW's greatest rivalries hug and shake hands and the 4 now take it to the Spirit Squad. Jack then goes under the ring and takes out another trashcan, he brings it into the ring and passes each one of the prizes, a guitar. In a legendary spot, they simultaniously nail Kenny, Johnny, Nick and Mikey with guitar shots to a loud “ECDub” Chant. The 4 men raise their hand together and get to fighting again, Bubba and Kenny go one way, D-Von and Johnny another, Spike and Nick another and New Jack with Mikey and Mitch. All for corners of the Hammerstein Ballroom have a fullscale fight on their hands. Cameras are scrambeling to keep up with it. But eventually Bubba, Kenny, D-Von, and Johnny get back into the ringside area. However we see that Spike had knocked Nick out in the crowd after delivering a Acid Drop off the wall onto 2 chairs. Spike quickly runs over to aid New Jack who is dealing with Mikey and Mitch. Spike and Mikey now go back towards the ring after Spike nails him with a DDT. Then we notice New Jack had set up a table, he sets up Mitch on it and Spike nails him to make sure he's out. Jack disapeers with Mitch out cold on the table. Spike and Mikey go back ringside. Suddenly Jack reappears on the balcony and the crowd is losing it. Jack gets into position, throws the 187X up and BALCONY DIVE ONTO MITCH. The crowd goes crazy with the “ECDUB” chants. Meanwhile back in the ring the Squad had seemingly taken adavantage over The Dudleys and had set up 2 tables in the ring. . The Squad signal for a sterio powerbomb but the Dudleys backdrop them onto chairs. Suddenly Bubba shoves D-Von and instead of getting the tables, both point to Spike who runs in and passes the guys 2 yellow bottles. The Dudleys cover the tables in the liquid of those bottles and to a huge pop light them up and a HUGE fire erupts on both tables. Bubba and D-Von raise Kenny and Johnny and deliver 2 vicious simultanious powerbombs through the tables. Johnny and Kenny, burned leap to the outside in pain before being out. Spike rolls a bloddy Mikey into the ring, who walks into a HUGE 3D onto another table and The Dudleys make the pin. 1...2...3. The crowd goes wild as Bubba, D Von and Spike celebrate in the ring. Soon enough rolls in New Jack. Jack gives pounds to all 3 and raise hands. The crowd is LOUDLY chanting “ECDub”, “Dudleys” and “New Jack” as the 4 ECW Icons take a curtain call.

Back to Joey and Taz who are in shock but celebrating the great win for the Dudleys, the amazing violence shown and the shocking return to ECW of Spike Dudley and espically New Jack, helping his greatest rivals in the name of protecting ECW. People thought I was retarted and had no idea about my skills, I was disrespected and the only time I main evented anything was a half assed match with Triple H. After about 4 minutes, Sandman slides into the ring and is immeidtly attacked by Helms and Dinsmore who stomp Sandman as he enters the ring, They lift him up and whip him into the ropes and go for a double clothesline. Sandman ducks under it and nails Helms in the head with the cane. He then nails Dinsmore in the gut and then in the back. Sandman goes for more strikes but both men bail to the outside of the ring and back p the ramp to nurse the wounds. Sandman smirks and begs the 2 to come back for more. Sandman, dazed is still standing, clearly out on his feet. The man then nails Sandman with 2 vicious slaps to his face before hitting him behind the ear with a uber stiff muai thai kick. He then nails Sandman with a big Uranage and then locks him in a sidearm choke, commonly known as the Anaconda Vice. He locks it on the Sandman for nearly minute before it's clear Sandman's out. The man releases the hold to a huge chorus of boos. Styles and Taz are in shock as the man is clearly laughing at what he's done. Styles, not playing done, recgonizes and identifies the man as he climbs the ropes to pose to the fans, who now hate him, yet theres also a simultanious chant for. CM Punk. Styles and Taz hype Punk as Punk poses and jawjacks to the fans before looking at and laughing at the fallen Sandman before saying something to the fallen "Hardcore Icon".

We now go backstage to a splitscreen shot of the 2 warriors getting ready for their upcoming battle. Cena is seen shadow boxing the lockers. We can see Van Dam stretching with an intense look on his face. We notice that Paul Heyman is giving Van Dam apparently a serious pep talk. Styles and Taz hype how anti Cena the crowd is and how we may have a classic on our hands.

http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x279/hager88/John%20Cena/John_Cena.jpghttp://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii278/b2flyxballer/Rob_Van_Dam.jpg
Main Event for WWE Championship: © John Cena vs. Rob Van Dam

If there was ever a match of the night, this would be it. Van Dam entered first to his old "Walk" theme and even hearing this the crowd was insane. The crowd was clearly not just on Van Dam's side but were willing to kill for him. This urge to kille immeditly came out when the opening chords of Cena's music hit. The polar opposite for RVD's entrance took place as the most hostile reaction of the night and maybe even in ECW history took place when the WWE Champ made his way down the isle. Cena kept his head down and held his title high as he dodged curses from the fans, middle fingers and spit. Cena rolled into the ring and posed and already a beer was thrown his way. The camera then zoomed to a rather ominous sign.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3002/2900690664_84414ecb68.jpg?v=0

Following the initial ring announcemets, Cena attempts to throw his hat and shirt to the crowd, who promptly throw both back into the ring upwards of 5 times, each time getting a bigger reaction. Cena sighed and stoped caring as the bell ring. The arena was filled with "RVD" and "You Can't Wrestle" chants Right off the bat, Cena used his strength to his advantage, nailing RVD with a big shoulderblock and a huge slam. Cena nailed a big clothesline on RVD, forcing RVD to the outside, where RVD quickly got the advantage, berrating Cena with a series of nice kicks. Van Dam slammed Cena on the outside. and waited Cena to rise and charged him but was proptly backdroped by Cena. Cena then whipped Van Dam into the guardrail, but RVD's excelent agility and balance caused RVD to leap up and deliver an amazing moonsault press of the rail onto Cena. RVD then catapaulted Cena into the metal post. RVD threw Cena back into the ring, before brining in a steel chair. Van Dam nailed Cena with a step up enziguri and draped the chair over Cena's chest and nailed him with Rolling Thunder, only for a 2 count. Van Dam raised Cena again and hit him with a Dragon whip before sending him into the ropes, but Cena countered with a wrap around DDT onto the chair. Cena went for the pin but barley got a 2. Cena now went to work on RVD, nailing him with consecutive slams and then nailing him with the Throwback. Cena then puts RVD under the chair and cimbs the ropes. Cena attempts a diving legdrop but RVD moves out of the way, ending with Cena's leg crashing onto the chair. RVD rolls back up and nails Cena in the face with a dropkick. RVD bails to the outside of the ring and brings in a table. RVD berrates Cena with a series of elbows before grounding him with a flying kick off the top rope following a rebound whip by Cena. RVD drags Cena into the corner and nails a big split legged moonsault for a 2 count. Van Dam raises Cena and goes into the ropes to nail him but Cena nails him with a Blue Thunder variation. Cena, then to a huge chorus of boos, signals for and then hits the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, luaghing to the crowd as he hits it as to say "I know how this is going to end". Cena waited for and singlaed for and lifed RVD up for the FU. But somehow RVD punches his way out and nails a spinning DDT. RVD slowly rises and sets the table up. RVD nails Cena with a few kicks and attempts an enziguri but Cena dodges it both times and then takes RVD down and locks him in the STFU. The crowd is pleading for RVD "Pleas Don't Tap". Cena screams as he wrenches it in as RVD struggles to make it to the ropes, after a fewminutes of struggle RVD makes it to the ropes but Cena refuses to break the hold. This causes referee John Finnegan to jump on Cena to break it. Cena and Finnegan begin arguing, caused he 2 to shove each other. Cena further earns the wrath of the ECW faithful by nailing Finnegan with a clothesline. Cena then grabs the chair and nails RVD in the head with the chair with a sickening thud. Cena raises Van Dam to the top rope and deliveres a vicious superplex through the table. Van Dam is down, as the crowd is booing as their hero maybe out of it. Cena bails to the outside of the ring and brings the steel ring steps into the ring. WWE offical Nick Patrick is down to serve as referee now. Cena measures RVD and nails him with the steps. Cena drops the steps and goes for the cover. 1....2....RVD Kicks out. Shock and frustration fill Cena's face. Cena attempts to raise RVD but RVD goes for an inside cradle for a 2. RVD then nails Cena with a front dropkick for another 2 count. RVD goes for a La Magistral for another 2. RVD then leaps to the top rope and goes for a bodypress but Cena catches RVD and goes for the FU but RVD fights over to the ropes and grabs it. Cena's strength propels RVD to the outside, FUing him to the floor below. Cena falls back from sheer tiredness. Cena slowly goes to outside to throw the seemingly dead RVD back into the ring. Cena again picks the steel steps and measures RVD. RVD rises and Cena charges, only for RVD to duck and Cena to nail Nick Patrick. Cena turns around and walks into a huge Van Daminator out of nowhere. Van Dam slowly rises as Cena does and Cena is clutching a chair, goes for another chair shot, RVD ducks and hits a second huge Van Daminator. Cena's out. We see John Finnegan regain his bearings. Van Dam seeing his opportunity climbs the ropes and nails with sheer percision the 5 Star Frog Splash. Van Dam recoils in pain clutching his ribs. Van Dam makes the cover. The crowd goes nuts as Finnegan goes to make the count.1....2....here comes RVD's and ECW's greatest momen....wait Finnegan gets pulled to the outside of the ring. What the hell? We then see Mr. Kennedy pull Finnegan to the outside of the ring. Finnegan asks Kennedy "What the hell" in confusion. Kennedy, with a look of anger and opportunity on his face nails Finnegan. Kennedy rolls into the ring looking at RVD. He and RVD go face to face with RVD, stunned asking "Whay did you do that". Kennedy then smiles and blasts RVD with an STO with RVD's head bouncing off the chair. The crowd is stunned and angry as Kennedy has a evil smile on his face, with RVD seemingly out. Kennedy then brings a table in the ring. Kennedy then raises RVD up onto the top rope. Kennedy then drives RVD through the table with the Green Bay Plunge. The crowd is insane with anger to Kennedy who is admiring the work he's done as he now mocks RVD's finger pointing taunt o the fans. Kennedy sits on the oposing corner. We then see Nick Patrick slowly recoverhe bearings as well. Cena slowly drapes his arm over Van Dam, who is out cold. Patrick makes the count. The crowd is livid. 1...This can't happen...2.....Cena can't beat RVD at ECW's return show infront of an ECW crowd....3. The crowd is silent. John Cena beat Rob Van Dam in an ECW show. The crowd is clearly shocked and that level of shock turns into absolutly rage. "Bull****" "**** You Cena" "**** You Kennedy" chants start up. Several fans attempt to rush the ring but security blocks them. The ring is filled with litter as fans throw anything they can find into the ring. Meanwhile Kennedy sarcastically claps looking at RVD in the corner. Medical personel rushes to RVD and take him backstage as a major injury may have occured. Cena is gien his belt, and smartly runs out of the arena as a riot seemingly is about to take place.

Kennedy now taunts the crowd when from the back runs down Paul Heyman, who'se face is beyond red. Heyman is furious with Kennedy, screaming him about how he screwed everything up and why and everything. Kennedy smirks and nails Heyman with a huge clothesline. The crowd hates Kennedy even more now. Kennedy kicks Heyman out of the ring smirking. Kennedy then calls for his mic.

I bet all you people are wondering why I just cost RVD the title? Why Kennedy why? Am I with the WWE and Cena? Nah, been there, done that. You see earlier tonight, I told you people that I was the saving grace of ECW. The star, the man brininging it back to greatness, the Franchise player. And since this whole ECW thing came back together, Paul E tried to make his guy RVD exactly what I am, the man of ECW. Rob Van Dam was and will always been nothing to me but a stoner who can do alot of fancy kung fu ****. But besides that, RVD is old news. Van Dam may have been the star of old ECW but you all better know that I am the star of ECW now. And when I saw that Van Dam was gonna win the title, I figured I'd interject myself because it should be me fighting for the belt and beating Cena and cementing my place as the man here, not a hack like RVD. But in hindsight I feel like I have made that impact tonight because RVD couldn't get the job done. But you all be dan sure that I can. Because I'm the man ECW has been waiting for. I can talk, I can wrk and quite frankly I'm the best wrestler in the world today and I defy anyone back there or anywhere to defy that statement.
That was awesome. Great example of how to book a finish so even though Cena retains, RVD looses nothing, Kennedy looks like a complete bastard, and the crowd go home happy, looking forward to the next show.

I want tickets!!!

Great show... Completely lived up to the hype and will undoubtedly garner some DOTY award nominations... Love all the WWE guys your pulling in Morely, Haas and especially Travis Murdoch (Great promo by Murdoch, I eally sensed alot of Stan Hanson in him)...

Like Jabba The American stated, I also popped huge for the sound of Natural Born Killers... Gertner's line was great.... CM Punktaking out Sandman and the Main event accomplshed a TON!

This diary has taken its spot amongst the Must Reads here at GDS, keep up the awesome work

It was pure balls. Kurt was finishing rehab and told me he was clean and said he wanted to do business. Of course I listened, he is one of the best workers ever. And I knew it would piss Vince off.

ECW One Night Stand 2 set a WWE record for the highest but rate of a non Wrestlemania PPV. The Wrestling Observer called it the best American PPV in a decade. Clearly ECW did something right.

The day of the event saw alot of surprises and confusions. Prior to the event, unbeknost to much of the roster, Heyman announced that ECW had signed a one year deal with FX Network for a one hour show airing at 11PM on a day to be determined. Heyman orchistrated the deal himself with friends he had at FX. The deal would be completly different from Heyman's infamous deal with TNN. FX promised and would deliver a multi million dollar advertising campaign and aid ECW with production costs. It was a perfect deal for Heyman and the company.

Several of the new ECW talent were in attendence. CM Punk, Travis Murdoch, Nick Dinsmore, Shane Helms and Charlie Haas all debuted, but also backstage were some of the other recently signed talents. However, guys backstage which some did not want were the WWE's JBL and several WWE agents. JBL espically had heat with much of the roster and following his promo was actually escorted out of the arena. Heyman didn't want him there but the WWE did so Heyman caved.

But the biggest surprise was clearly Kurt Angle. Angle, fresh off a stint of rehab and will a 100& free slate to go where ever he wanted to, was a top secret signing only Heyman and Tommy Dreamer knew about. Angle took the deal as it not only would allow him to wrestle his own scheudle but also his own style, something TNA actually offered him, but Heyman's relationship with Kurt would be the selling point. The move was also a huge slap in the face to the WWE by both Angle and Heyman. Angle was fed up with the WWE and in the weeks following would convey this idea in nearly every interview he did. At the same time, this was Heyman's answer to the ECW vs. WWE debacle. He saw an opportunity and took it. This angered the WWE as they all assumed that Angle would sober up and then return, they even had several angles in place to allow Angle's return.

But this was post event and ECW was riding high and the company began touring again in early July and it's first show back would be, where else, the newly Heyman purchased ECW Arena. And the show would be the lightning rod for ECW's complete return and in true ECW fashion, it would be the new guys' time to shine.
