EDIT: I'm watching Kota Ibushi vs YOSHIHIKO right now and it is blowing my mind.

EDIT 2: I just finished watching it. Better than anything on TNA Turning Point, and that's high praise.

The Styles / Joe / Daniels match was pretty dirty. I don't really follow TNA or WWE much anymore, but I had to see that match. Haven't seen the Nigel / Angle match from that show, but I've heard great things.

Dude, You've obviously not seen some of YOSHIHIKO's matches! That blow up doll is merciless! EIGHT CANADIAN DESTROYERS????????

Holy what the hell . . . ?

What is this insanity?

I thought Japan was the place for respectable wrestling?

Though I admit it's funnier than all hell, but still, it's like something WWE or WCW would do. It's almost as bad as David Arquette's reign as champion . . . almost.

Saying Japan's the place for respectable wrestling is like saying America's the place for Sports Entertainment. Sure, it's the main thing that the bigger promotions do, but every country has layers of alternatives. America has ROH. Japan has DDT. And that's the tip of the iceberg.

I hope Monday's developmental journal entry has the inclusion of blow-up dolls/brooms as cheap workers for the desperate promoter.

Yeah the respectabilty of Japanese wrestling is a semi-myth. It's there in the the main companies for sure but on the indie such as Hustle, DDT and 666 there's all kinds of MADNESS

Take Hustle for example: They have their own Power Rangers in the form of the Hustle Rangers. Plus, Hustle has it's own Monster army to fight them

Then there's guys like Chocoball Mukai, who has a gimmick similar to Val Venis, in that he's a Porn Star...only thing is, it's a shoot, he really is a Porn Star.

Then there's guys like Hard Gay. The description is in the name :p

Pro Wrestling 666: All the gimmicks were Goth related.

Yeah, the wonderful world of the Japanese Micro-Indies, it's like it's own universe.

Please stop posting unrelated things, this is a thread for people to talk about the developer's journal.

Well, to be fair, Brother Adam while the talk had gotten tangential it got started with talking about trying to do the title lineages in these oddball promotions. And being that the last few features have been smallish, the direct discussion was dying out a bit. But it would have picked back up on Monday.

When the pre-release editor comes out (that's assuming it does) does it come with the 08-to-2010 converter? Or is the converted released with the actual gamee? I can't remember how it has been with past TEWs.

IIRC, for TEW08 they were released together as a standalone program a week before. I can't recall if previous versions did.

As for this past week's features, not to be critical, but I felt the previous weeks have been better weighted between utility and "blockbuster" entries, which is sad because I was excited about it being a "mod maker week". The better entries were at the beginning of the week (Hiring Rules, Multi-Contract Add), followed up by less interesting ones.
