"Get to da choppah" :D

What I hope this means is that big names are much harder to steal. It's ridiculously easy to poach big talent when one of the big names drops to cult. You can make out like a bandit while the AI just sits around staring as all this big talent becomes available.

This + broken promotion pacts = a top tier roster for any small or larger promotion with little to no effort.

There's another thing this means that I don't see people mentioning yet. National promotions are now going to have a realistic habit of releasing members of their lower card as the game progresses. As unnecessary workers are hired, it will push a promotion over the AI's roster preferences, so as it comes time to renegotiate the workers lower down the card will be less likely to have their contracts renewed. In 2010 we might see a lot of the Bumfholes in MAW and CZCW.

Predator hiring, great feature. This is shaping up to be the most true-to-life TEW yet. I'm just hoping the multiple owners thing from WMMA, (I'm pretty sure there's a multiple owners thing in WMMA), crosses over to TEW.

Then, I'd be just about set.

:D

Why? so you can end up with conflicting owner goals?

"I want Big Smack Scott to be at least B momentum"

"Well, I don't want Big Smack Scott to gain any more momentum at all"

I don't think the Bumfholes will be the first to get cut, but yeah, I can see them rotating through their undercard to support a stronger upper card scene, which is rather realistic to how it is now.

Yes! This is what I wanted to hear. I always said TEW08 was boring in terms of the other companies as they normally just stayed the same after the first month or two. Now they will actually continue to hire people into the future from time to time.

Now if only they fired people from time to time, I'd be set for things I wanted from a TEW08 sequel.

This is an interesting eature- I always sign about a hundred working relationships/non-aggression pacts per game, so this won't make too much of a negative impact, but it will make for a more interesting game world.

You just wait until they release the feature where the AI breaks promotion pacts :D There will be no safe corners of the C-verse!

New to TEW2010 is Predator Hiring, which means that the larger companies periodically look for available big name signings even when they already have a full roster. This is both more realistic and makes AI promotions more human in their logic.

By the fact Adam says the larger companies here, I am assuming that, barring clarification, this means companies National and higher. Therefore a big name would be a worker classified as National level or above I assume.

This should mean that regional and cult promotions probably wont lose their main stars that much, unless their overness level was such that they would lose the worker anyway when the contract came due, or he would be a big target of the bigger companies anyway.

All in all I am in favor of this as I got tired of seeing National level workers dropped by a SWF or TCW falling cult just sitting there for months on end when there were other national companies that could have picked them up.

i always found it odd when playing swf that tcw never tryed to get guys like gino and lover.......this will make that more realistic i think. No longer if you are playing as either swf or tcw are you garented to get one of the uber talented young guys.

<p>I Just read the new addition being that larger companies will still attempt to sign new workers even when they aren't necessarily needed (ie: jumping up in size) and LOVE it. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

It always felt a little stale to only see smaller companies raided when TCW, or SWF, rose up to another level. NOW, You'll actually have to be on your toes at all times. Very cool!</p><p> </p><p>

Great work, Adam!</p>

I'm really, REALLY, wanting to know if any more regions or other extra options (Race, age limits, etc) will be in it. I'm really hoping for a Longevity boost ability of some kind for worker's, although the one in already is great, I mean actually extending the life of worker's for fictional mods. For example, using both Race and Age considerations, adding a Vulcan Race, that lives a few hundred years (which is on par with elves as well, if you want to go a "fantasy" route).</p><p> </p><p> Far as regions, it's important to know at least that as soon as possible for those working on mods as we speak. You tend to put a worker to the "closest" area if you don't have that as a region in the game (as well as promotions if they exist), however, if the region all the sudden exists in 2010, your going to want to change it for everyone. So the faster you know, the sooner you can start the upgrade.</p>
