Only watched NXT this week, but boy was it an entertaining event. Nothing that special, but the workers all seem to be in a good place. "Everybody's favorite girlfriend" seems to have found her thing, and the debuting stable can promise some good stuff (though only the post-match reveal was interesting).

As for the Paige case: tasting success so early and then dealing with roadblocks or setbacks of this caliber sometimes does that to people. You get motivational issues and the desire to maintain that good run she had. And drugs of any kind can make the 'transition' more smooth. Maybe her Total Divas run made her more of a diva than she (and I for that matter) would've liked.

Good to see Mickie return. I'm hoping to see Gail pop up in the future (though her WWE run was far from epic).

So I'm sure everyone's seen the video by now, but Paige crawled into the ring on her knees last night to propose to Del Rio at a WCC event. It was all very strange.

This is like Real World: WWE Edition. I for one look forward to drafting Paige in the upcoming Challenge.

Bizarre. Not saying it doesn't happen in the "real world" but the people I've heard of (and known) that this happened with were not in the public eye.

Personal life aside, WWE can't just decide to grant her the release when she asks for it - it would set a bad precedent. Ultimately she'll leave, but let them go through the motions to protect their interests too.

The whole thing is crazy. There is some really crazy stories in UK tabloids about how Paige has been running drugs for a long time since she travels so much for WWE. How she hasn't been working so she hasnt been traveling in awhile. This is what caused the knife attack on Del Rio because she owes people money.

I dont believe all that because that is straight out of a movie but just saying how crazy this story gets every day

Just watched the Goldberg promo...a few things....

His voice sounds completely different

They messed with his music

If I'm not mistaken, Brock was already Last, so technically this changes nothing if Bill wins

I don't see how he'd win this match, but am not sure why he'd take it if he was only set to job. The only way I see Lesnar losing is if it's to set up a completely crazy, beside himself brock that goes on a complete terror through the entire roster after losing again, but I doubt that will happen unless it leads to another rematch that Brock wins.

Their first match was terrible, probably the worst in both of their careers. Unless they are working it out at the performance center several times over, I'm skeptical that Brocks low work rate and Goldberg's decade absence and age will improve this matchup.

Not sure I'd call him the greatest champ, would think that would be sting or Flair, but he's certainly in the discussion thanks to the streak. Would have preferred calling him the most dominant wrestler as that was more accurate.

Good to see him back, just not sure I can get behind this.

A few things on the Goldberg appearance.

Greatest WCW Champion, Michael Cole delivers again!

His music entrance was his

Probably one of the most genuine and heartfelt babyface promos I ever heard live and I think this run is one, at max two appearances.

Even listening to yours it still sounds slightly different to me. Closer to that than the WWE theme he had, but still different I think

Fun fact, I still have his musicless debut against Hugh Morris on tape (If I recall he was just in the ring after commercial with no entrance, also left without music after)

And I agree there won't be more than a match or two most likely, though he could make a few promo appearances.

As for greatest champ, there is always subjectivity, but in my view he can't be just by numbers.

He only held the title once, is only 7th on total days as champ, and I believe is either 5th or 6th in longest title reign. There is not a single metric by which he is best.

I'm not against Bill, heck I made my family pause a vacation in Mexico so we could watch him win the title in Georgia Dome. I was also at his WWE debut when he speared the Rock. Just disagree on that claim as the best champ, though he should have been (the taser thing was dumb and they clearly had very little as for a plan on what to do after the streak. He should have gone >1 yr)

It took Goldberg fifteen minutes or so to highlight every problem that RAW has. His entrance is fantastic because it's different and unpredictable. His promo felt genuine, he was intense, he looked the audience in the eye; even his walk around the ring didn't feel scripted. It's a far cry from everything else they produced last night.

I read they let the wrestlers go out and cut promos on their own unscripted. They are given talking points and suggestions but cut things on their own.
