I just heard WrestleMania isn't sold out yet and sure enough, if you head to Ticketmaster, there's still a number of seats going. If it's going to happen, maybe they should have announced Cena vs. Taker a lot earlier.

I'm not a Reigns hater but I'd imagine he is playing a part in that too. Not his fault, of course, but it is what it is

I honestly don't get why other companies feel the need to peak their programming on Mania weekend, where the casual "Network" fan like me and millions of others simply don't have time for other shows. WM and NXT are already six hours long. I would've gladly watched SHIMMER 100 and Supercard of Honor as those cards look great but I guess it'll be highlights on youtube.

Ticket sales have been pretty good for smaller events like Bloodsport and Spring Break 2, two of the most hyped shows online.

Logistics also plays a part because with all the top wrestlers and fans flocking to NOLA, multiple promotions can get easy access to wrestlers and larger crowds. Matt Riddle and a few others are booked for 9 or more shows in 2-3 days!

Also, with more streaming options available than ever fans can catch up on whatever shows they want when they want at a reasonable price. Am I the only one who has listened to the Lil Dicky "Freaky Friday" song a million times and thought to myself that WWE should totally run a similar angle with say, John Cena and Heath Slater? It would be awesome. Slater (Who is "Cena") would come out and try to give AA to somone but not be strong enough to get them off the ground. There's a lot of comedy they could do that would be fun for a month or so.

There’s a probably a million things to discuss or watch ahead of this weekend; but if you only watch one thing - watch the hype video for Gargano vs Ciampa. This is surely the main event on Saturday, no way anything can follow it.

This may be the best feud build up WWE/NXT has done in years. I cannot wait for this match.

NXT Takeover:

North American Title Ladder Match - MOTY Contender. Incredibly entertaining with an insane amount of replay-worthy spots that put everyone over. Adam Cole being a chickencrap heel makes him perfect as the NA Champ with a stacked midcard gunning for his title. *****

Ember © vs Shayna - Good match. The finish was better this time with the injury angle but it still went about 30 seconds too long. ****

Dusty Classic/Tag Title - Good match. Roddy you sumbiatch! Didn't see that coming. ROH boys gunning for all the gold. *** 3/4

Almas © vs Black - MOTY Contender. Love both guys but I marked out for Black winning. I pray Almas is treated well on the main roster. Zelina Vega is one of the all-time great valets. *****

Ciampa vs Gargano (Unsanctioned Street Fight) - MOTY Contender. Absolutely brutal. I'm surprised Gargano won. Hopefully they both end up on the main roster this year. Bryan might need Gargano's help if Shane turns on him LOL. *****

Verdict: Best NXT Takeover ever. 3 amazing matches. Hot crowd. Peak Mauro Ranallo. My only nitpick is that the women are lagging behind in match performance. It would help if they had more than one feud at a time to justify more Takeover matches.

Only disappointment in NXT is that the champ keeps getting called up. I get that's the point, but still. I guess with Aleister whoever the new signing is will go on a massive winning streak, beat Black, and Black will get called up. The formula works, I guess.
