Enjoyable Smackdown. Xmas Street Fight and Cesaro/Nak vs New Day were good. Bryan/Miz team-up was fun as were the Otis/Mandy segments. Also nice to see 3 women's match on a single show. Lacey's daughter looked ready to fight Sasha LOL.

Now this is how you make cheap graphics work. Into the Cesaroverse!

Trying to catch up on some wrestling after a busy time.... I realise I'm going to be in the minority here, but the wedding on Raw was hugely sports entertaining. Not something I could watch every week but it made me laugh, it surprised me with the twist and I loved how happy Rusev looked with the whole thing.

As a performer Rusev is clearly up for anything no matter how potentially WrestleCrap it could be, he's amazing for that. :D

Murphy and Black put on another clinic and the wedding was so bad it was entertaining. I'm OK with car crash tv segments in wrestling so long as it's not too often. My only worry is what happens to Liv when this angle is over.

<p>Kassius Ohno's new gimmick is great. How often does a wrestler telling his opponent "don't make me hit you" in the middle of a match make complete perfect sense within the context?</p><p> </p><p>

I really like how the Outliers (especially Mak) are being portrayed as great dominating fighters but keep losing matches because they drop their guard too early in the belief that they already have match won. Two impressive performances in a row.</p><p> </p><p>

Dragunov would be a grade-A comedy performer if they ever decide to use him as such. I couldn't stop laughing at his dramatic selling of his hand injury at the end. He'll blow Santino out of the water.</p>

- Nice pop for Toni. I'm glad she mentioned her upcoming UK title match... that she should be fully focused on. It's crazy how stacked both NXT women's divisions are. The 6 woman tag match was good after the commercials ended.

- Forgotten Sons vs Imperium was good. Forgotten Sons always do well when they have quality opponents.

- LOL Riddle.

- Theory vs Wilde was solid.

- Undisputed Era vs Gallus was good.

- I'm not sure about Gargano's argument. Him and Ciampa seemed happy enough on Raw and SD until Ciampa got injured, although it happened so quickly he technically never left NXT.

- Mia vs Carter was solid. Chelsea and Robbie E finally debuted on NXT. Deonna going to join them?

- Priest vs Grimes vs Lee vs Dijakovic was MOTN and one of my favorite big man matches in recent WWE history. Bask in his glory!

I hope Alex Shelley sticks around after the Dusty

I absolutely love Alex Shelly! I don't know why he has never been given a shot in WWE. I don't understand why he's seemed to have always been overlooked in pretty much every company except for a few times in TNA. He has a great look, is uber talented & seems like a really likable guy. Maybe it's his height but that never stopped them before from at least hiring someone. I wish he'd have been given a longer run in NJPW either with KUSHIDA or just on his own.

Shelley has long been one of my favorite guys. It's a shame that by the time he was fed up with TNA and left, they pushed Sabin to the world title. In ROH he has always been used as an upper mid card guy/tag team. He has been thrown into title shots when needed, but never used as more.

I don't get it either, he is extremely talented in ring, has boat loads of charisma and should have at least been given a shot as a solid mid card guy. Would have loved to have seen him tear it up in the cruiserweight classic as well. Hopefully this gives him a solid contract with a few years in NXT in a Chris Hero type role and then they allow him to stay on as a coach/producer if he wants.

Really? I've always known WWE to historically be the land of the giants, where they refuse to hire people solely because of their heights all of the time. It's only been in the past 5 years and the rise of NXT that the barriers are being broken and they're bringing in all of the indy darlings, as opposed to a rare few.

Sadly, when Alex Shelley was in his prime (as a name if not as a talent) WWE weren't hiring cruiserweights to be anything more than lower card guys. 205 live and NXT weren't things. They were still taking bodybuilders and models to train from scratch rather than take a look at the indies.

A lot has changed.

Seven vs Dennis - *** 3/4

Storm vs Piper vs KLR © - **** 1/2

Bate vs Devlin - *****

Fatal Fourway Tag Title Ladder Match - **** 1/2

Joe Coffey vs WALTER © - **** 3/4

Arguably the best UK Takeover yet. Crowd were hot and went molten when Undisputed Era showed up. Contender for best women's title match so far on the brand. I'm surprised Imperium didn't win the tag titles. Bate & Devlin put on an absolute clinic but I think it was a mistake not to push Devlin to the moon at this point. I guess Bate is going to be the one to take down WALTER after all but I want Dragunov to challenge first. Thought the main event was fantastic but Bate vs Devlin was my MOTN because I was more invested in the competitors. I think they need a European title to give the midcard something to fight over.

<p>I was sports entertained. R-Truth for best segment of 2020 so far. I was wondering how Black and Murphy would outdo themselves. The answer was to stiff the hell out of each other like they're on an NXT Takeover. Would have liked Murphy to win and they should have saved it for Royal Rumble but at least joining Seth's crew gives him something to do going forward. What is it with WWE referees botching matches to stick to the scripted finishes? The main event was fun.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>- Keith Lee has hit peak popularity.</p><p>

- Dunne & Riddle vs Webster & Andrews was a Takeover quality tag match.</p><p>

- DIY reunion!</p><p>

- Time Splitters vs Grizzled Young Vets was good. It would be cool if Shelley stuck around awhile. The tag division could use the Time Splitters. Gibson can get heat in any country just by opening his mouth.</p><p>

- Breeze vs Swerve vs Rush was great. I'm happy Swerve won.</p><p>

- Women's Battle Royale was good after the ring cleared a bit. So much talent in the division. Kacy back from the dead! Shotzi is over already. I was hoping Mercedes would win but it was probably too early to push her. Bianca makes sense as a 1st defense for Ripley.</p>

I love Angel Garza and I’m glad he seems to be picking up English fairly well. I just wish they’d stop flip flopping his alignment. One week he talks about how he loves the fans and the next he’s a a pompous jerk.

If they pick a side of the fence for him I expect him to go very far.

I was shocked Raw was good last week and wondered what happened, good to see it back to regular abysmal form before I got my hopes up. I guess the one thing I can give them props on is they've successfully buried Rusev so hard I can no longer possibly care at all about what happens to him, so good job if that's what they were trying to do

Just finished Raw. Other than the ladder match, it wasn't a good show. I like Lashley, Rusev, and Liv Morgan, but this story line is pure garbage.

Why put the tag titles on Rollins and Buddy instead of AOP? Also, why did they shorten the Authors of Pain's name to AOP?

As per usual though, Truth was comedic gold.
