tristram
I dont think he was ever called Hennig in WWE. I know he was in AWA/WCW though but I think he was always Mr. Perfect, even in the video games and during his last run Yes he was. At the very start of his journey into the WWF he was announced by the ring-announcers and the commentators (I think at the time Mooney and Hayes) as Mr Perfect Curt Hennig. Infact, I was watching an episode of the WWE show that Gene Okerlund hosts, can't quite remember the name of it but its a historical recap show, and it had Sam Houston against Mr Perfect Curt Hennig. Shmoe
As far as NXT goes, Percy Watson entertains the hell out of me. Just his facial expressions and his body language cracks me up. I hope he gets far, either that or gets to the main roster afterwards.
Remianen
From prowrestling.com - WWE claimed on TV that Joe Hennig is using the Michael McGillicutty name on NXT because the last name is his mother's maiden name and he wanted to honor the other side of his family. Actually, Hennig's mother was born Leonice Leonard, so it remains to be seen where the McGillicutty name came from. This could be related or not but McGillicutty was actually the maiden name of Lucy Ricardo on the hit 50's TV show "I Love Lucy." It was also the name of one of the teachers on 'The Little Rascals' (the one Alfalfa had a crush on).

CQI13
Nothing "needs" to happen. If he's good enough (not a given, even with the lineage), and he requires a name/gimmick change, it will happen. How many people would be complaining about the fact that they're not creative enough if they just went with the Hennig name (or leeching off the Mr Perfect gimmick)? Tha Black Phenom
A nickname can always fix things, or a gradual switch to a swifter name, something like Michael McG(doesn't sound all that better on paper but when a name catches on, it catches on).

Also, I'm really digging the nickname for Percy Watson. Showtime. It's a nice prefix. I like him overall, his demeanor brings something different to the table.
alden
in ring wise i was not super impressed by watson.....the turning splash he did was cool.....but he really blew the hot shot spot at the end. He is odviously very athletic........and has a TON of personality......I do like his i just hope his in ring work gets better. To be honest there is no one i really don't like this time around. I think they are all possible stars. I am really enjoying eli for some reason. They keep say how "intresting" he is *i am assuming a little off* and he almost shows it in the way he holds him self. I still am marking out for kaval. I am surprised the wwe has not made him tone down him style to much. He is not the super stiff striker he was in roh and ta but he is still using alot of his trade mark moves.
Stennick
Also the ring name of Tommy Dreamer's ultra hot wife, Trisa "Beulah McGillicutty" Hayes. Ultra hot? Different strokes for different folks but she's not even in my top 15 90's divas. She was think and had a decent body and wasn't ugly but I wouldn't say ultra hot. Self
I'm sure WWE have no idea who Eric Young is. Besides, in a few months everyone will think Eric stole it from Percy.
alden
does he even go by showtime any more? I thought he dropped that or am i just not paying attention. Self
I've already given up on NXT, but I made a point of watching the Percy Watson match. He's green, but by far my favorite rookie on the show. He's insane! It's amazing. He gets in the ring (a sight in itself) and dances and claps and... I love him. Every bit of him.

I also liked how Miz & Riley looked as a tag team during their entrance. When the match began I thought they looked FAR too similar, but their entrance had a nice mixture of similarities and differences.
Basmat01
Who will be the first NXT rookie to go? my moneys on Titus O'Neil. He has done very little to impress me his David Otanga just with even less "Charisma"
Self
If I was running the shop, I'd probably cut Lucky Cannon first. Eli's got height. Titus has Zack Ryder (woo woo woo). People keep saying McGillicutty is decent so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I like the other 4. I'd cut Lucky.
evileddie10
With the WWE now having an agreement with youtube to show most of their shows in full, I attempted to watch NXT on it, however youtube claimed the video is not available. Wasnt sure if it was just me, so i'm asking if anyone else seems to have a problem with WWE's youtube videos.

Because they said it'd be US-only.
