Not everyone will like these kinds of matches.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Would be a pretty good WrestleMania but I do have a bit of feedback I'd like to share...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Shield vs Cena, Orton & Ziggler </strong>- I wouldn't be too keen on this myself. It would require an Orton face turn and he's not long turned heel. Plus, despite how over he was, he completely sucked balls as a face IMO.</p><p> </p><p> I also wouldn't be sold on the idea of Cena having to join The Shield. The already did this kind of thing with Nexus.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Kings of Wrestling vs The New Real Americans</strong> - Not sure fans would buy into Justin Gabriel being a "Real American" seeing as he's South African <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> But, outside of the workers who are pulling double-duty, it looks good.</p><p> </p><p> I'd LOVE to see a 'Taker vs Sting match. I know Sting is like 54 (?) but he could still put on a great match with 'Taker. When Sting does decide to hang his boots up I hope he decides that he wants his WrestleMania moment and has his final ever match against 'Taker. Of course, he wouldn't be the one to end the streak but it'd be a great spectacle.</p><p> </p><p> Punk / Austin would also be magnificent. Randy Orton Vs John Cena- After HHH and Steph continue to bury DB Cena back from injury will face Randy for the WWE Championship and be the savior of WWE</p><p> </p><p>

Damien Sandow © Vs Cody Rhodes- Sandow cashes in and wins, which gets this rivalry kick started up again leading into Mania.</p><p> </p><p>

Undertaker Vs Brock Lesnar?- This is a big grey spot for me I just don't see many options may a Punk rematch?</p><p> </p><p>

The Wyatts Vs The Shield- I see this being a great feud if done right, you don't even have to have one make a full face turn to do it.</p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk Vs Daniel Bryan- After continuing to lose to Randy and company DB is fed up and joins with Heyman to gain some ground. As this happens Punk is making his way through Axle, Ryback, Heyman which leaves DB as the final Heyman Guy to take out.</p><p> </p><p>

Divas Match- Probably with a celeb thrown in.</p><p> </p><p>

Ryback Vs Goldberg- They seem to be leaning towards a Goldberg return on social media and their website although I don't know what the chances would of getting back would be, but this would be fueled by Ryback's comments about him and Goldberg's comments about Ryback.</p><p> </p><p>

Drew McIntyre Vs Curtis Axle- This would be the Vince Vs HHH match for control for WWE Drew would be Vince and Axle with HHH.</p>

Other than C.M Punk vs Daniel Bryan, Ryback and Goldberg and Undertaker vs Lesnar, You don't have much to offer. (Though Cena coming back to beat Randy Orton for the WWE Championship sounds igneious).....but i'd like a Cody Rhodes and Sandow feud, and Sandow as World Champion WOULD be nice........but not yet...He hasn't gained enough victories to cash in........yet........and if he does, it will probably be at Hell in a Cell.</p><p> </p><p> But other than that, It's kind of a weak WrestleMania bro.</p>

I seen a similar post I think earlier in the thread, but not sure if it was you or not.</p><p> </p><p> Now mind you, I'm no mind reader, and I don't have information that anyone else couldn't get, but everything I read (and see on TV) points to them doing exactly opposite of "burrying". They are pushing DB to the moon right now. All the spoilers said they had huge plans (and that's how they said it "HUGE") for DB. They've also pointed out that every time he gets screwed, he gets bigger, and the plan was to have him 'chasing' the gold to build him up as big as they can before the eventual pay off. This was said way before Cena was known to have to be out, and they said it was going to be a long program. </p><p> </p><p> It's been a long time since I seen any wrestler get the pops that DB gets... I mean, as many times as he has had multiple segments on the show, and every single time those pops feel as if they are getting louder. It's as if a legend has returned every time his music hits.</p><p> </p><p> Anyways, the card looks like something that might happen, and something I would be interested in.</p>

The Wyatt's Vs Shield would be good, Punk and DB would be good, Taker/Brock will likely really happen, WWE doesn't have much rolling for them so this would be great considering what they have put out lately</p>

Perhaps this is a start to something for later after the PPV. *</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Axel vs Truth:</strong>I'm glad this is happening, I feel like these two have good chemistry, and if they insist on pushing Axel, I want to see it with people that he can have decent match's with... and someone that I think going against a Heyman guy might actually elevate. I've been a fan of R-Truth's for years, and have always felt he could be elevated higher up the card if the desire is there. Heyman is good without even talking, just the look on his face during a good portion of this match said more then most talent does when they speak. The match itself, good match. By the end of the match, crowd was brought into it. Good in ring story-telling, not great... but still good. ***</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Los Localess vs Los Matadores:</strong> I'm guessing this was just to show off their moves. Did what it was supposed to do I suppose, but I'm on the fence about them still. I like the bull though. ** (giving a star for the bull, match did nothing for me this time).</p><p> </p><p> <strong>R-Truth promo for HIAC:</strong> Man... I hope that's going to be an actual gimmick for him.... </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Divas 6 tag match: </strong>Was actually a good match, but I don't understand why this match happened.... Outside that maybe because they would do good? Brie Bella has won me over. I never thought either twin would make me interested in them, but she has drastically improved enough in the ring to make me think she is actually serious about this as a carreer. I didn't even see a mess up with Cameron or Eva Marie. Why does it always look like Natalia is botching moves lately? I can't figure out if it's really her, or her opponant, because I'm not sure what exactly was supposed to happen, but it's been looking like Nattie's fault lately. Head not in it or something? **1/2 </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rhodes Promo</strong> (actual part of show): Both have done better, felt awkward. *1/2</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sandow vs Del Rio </strong>(set up from earlier): Surprised by the energy, although I shouldn't have been, both have been very energetic in the past. Sandow gets the early jump, crowd started chanting USA. Sandow winning early in the match makes me think Del Rio is a for sure win (what I figured anyways). Crowds into the match, I think the Divas woke the crowd up. The match however, very physical, energetic and enjoyable. Even a bit of a cash in tease. ***1/2 </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Big Show storyline video promo:</strong> WWE is awesome with these. Not rating it, because it's a given they are going to put together a perfect package.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Primetime Players and Khali vs. 3MB:</strong> A match with at least four underrated superstars. I still say Titus and Heath have gobs of potential. Not as high on Drew as most, but he's still young. Not a good match, but not a bad one at all. The crowd loved it. **1/2</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rhodes vs Wyatt family:</strong> Another weird match-up, not sure why this match happened. Great match though, great in ring story telling. I wasn't sure who was going to win the longer it lasted, and I'm kind of shocked. ****</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Overall show</strong> felt light on Star Power, but the in ring action made up for it for me. I was pleased to see so much in ring action. While I liked two of the match's more then the rest, there was a pleasant third surprise. ***</p>

<strong>Truth vs Axel (IC Title)</strong> - Good match.</p><p>

<strong>Los Matadores vs Los Locales</strong> - Fun match. I hope Ricardo & Tyson Kidd stay together as a tag team, despite being squashed here.</p><p>

<strong>Brie, Naomi & Cameron vs Natalya, Kaitlyn & Eva Marie</strong> - Random match-up between babyface Total Divas (and Kaitlyn). Match was OK. Natalya slapping Brie's ass was a highlight.</p><p>

<strong>Sandow vs Del Rio</strong> - Rare heel on heel action and a teaser for Sandow's future MITB cash-in. Good physical match. Sandow impressive again but his losing streak continues.</p><p>

<strong>PTP & Khali vs 3MB</strong> - OK Filler match.</p><p>

Depends, we post about WWE games quite a bit here, but if your looking for people to go online to play with you, or something similar, might be easier to make a new thread for it.

 

If you just want to talk about what you think of the game, or how excited or whatever, here is good as any place. I think there might be an official games thread that hasn't been bumped in a while as well. So take your pick.

I personally think it fits but I never understood the strict "THIS CONVERSATION MUST TAKE PLACE IN THIS SPECIFIC THREAD!!!" nonsense anyway. We're just talking, it applies to WWE so it fits.

 

I, myself, am caught between a rock and a hard place. I bought every single Smackdown era game but the last few years it's been tough. Universe mode (both times) over promised and under delivered. In fact, that's basically all Yukes has done with the game in general recently. To the point where I didn't even really enjoy last year's game that much and barely played it.

 

"But it's a new engine!" Lies! It really was the same crap all over again! And I know 2K is putting it out and not THQ anymore, but it still LOOKS LIKE THE SAME DAMN GAME! Nothing's new or interesting about it. Sure, 30 years of wrestlemania mode sounds fun but that was the drawing feature of "Legends of Wrestlemania" and it tanked. So I really feel like this year is the first time in forever I'm just going to skip the yearly WWE game.

 

So where's my dilema? If I preorder it I can play as the Ultimate Warrior....

Maybe they made enough of the little changes needed to make last year's game awesome. Anything is possible. </p><p> </p><p> But they chose to rush out a game (Early considering last year's came out in late november) the year of the acquisition. If it does suck, it will be on them for doing that rather than taking the time to re think the game and relaunch a new brand. The series had devolved to "let's put out a cheap, annual piece of crap for 10 year olds" with THQ. And it doesn't look like 2K has any interest in changing that.</p>

<p>Isn't WWE 2k14 made by the exact same team as the previous games? I thought it was merely published by 2k, and they didn't actually "do" anything in terms of development. I think they even took on Cory Ledesma (or whatever his name is) in some capacity.</p><p> </p><p>

I enjoyed the Attitude Era mode, but haven't played the game a huge amount since. I want to like Universe Mode, but it just seems to throw out the same few matches week-in and week-out. I might pick up the new game when it's cheaper, just because 30 Years Of Wrestlemania looks quite fun.</p>

<p>I am personally skipping the new game but it looks awesome. I was satisfied with 13 but a few of the problems from last year have been fixed (universe mode seems much less random and you can actually control more). The roster is the best of all time too which should be good fun.</p><p> </p><p>

Only reason I'm not getting it is because GTA V already made me back into a gamer but I'm done until the next gen which I will probably purchase a PS4 when the second or third copies are out next year</p>

I pre-ordered the game and i'm excited, as watching gameplay videos, it looks like it changed a bit from last year, the roster is the best ever, WWE Universe looks like it will give us more freedom and it looks even better (but you have a point in saying that in 2011, '12 and '13, it under delivered. But let's see, no?), and 30 Years of WrestleMania will suck some hours of my day as it looks like a great story mode. The creation suite changes are also very nice, and i THINK that 2K14 is going to be really great, but i KNOW that it can also under deliver in some points. And you can't blame 2K for the fact that it can under deliver, there aren't other new modes other than 30 Years of WrestleMania, and aside from what i mentioned before there aren't so many other new things, if there are, 2K didn't mention yet, because they bought the franchise this year and THQ had announced the game before if i'm correct, so they took the ball and will deliver it this month. In short words, yes i pre-ordered, yes i'm excited, yes i think that many things changed from last year, but i also know that it can under deliver.</p>

<p>I saw the achivement/trophy list and it mentioned a defend the streak mode which seems like a variation of the old slobber knocker mode from the early games. </p><p> </p><p>

No idea why they haven't talked about it, but I used to pour hours into that (and any survival mode in any game)</p>

I just ran through a quick google list and didnt see anything concrete confirming GM mode, just speculation and hearsay. Is that confirmed?

 

Even if it is, againt he way they've been putting this crap out the past few years, I would expect it to be feature rich in promise and buggy and disappointing in execuation lol.

 

I really DO sound all butthurt over these WWE games lol. I don't mean to be, they've just been extremely disappointing for years now and I keep buying them. THE LINE MUST BE DRAWN HERE! THIS FAR AND NO FARTHER!

There is no GM Mode, in the Creation Suite livestream the whole menu was shown and there is no GM Mode.
