<p>AJ's guest commentary spot was god damn brilliant work. Cole and Lawler legit sounded irritated and annoyed and she gave off a real sense of discomfort and dislike. It was a great heel spot, which should be commended. Typically, when heels do he commentary thing they try to be funny and just trash the dudes in the ring. The sound awkward but it's effective in reminding people "Oh yea h's fighting that dude on Sunday".</p><p> </p><p>

I thought AJ actually used the opportunity to advance her character a bit. Great work. Her awkwardness with the commentators actually played to her advantage. Just my thoughts.</p>

<p>AJ did do a pretty good job on commentary last night.</p><p> </p><p>

DB hitting the Busaiku (sp?) Knee was perfect and pretty much explained all by itself why WWE had The Corporation kick his ass for the past three weeks straight. Moments like that become that much better when you make the viewers wait the right amount of time for it to happen.</p>

Raw (Rated-RKO Edition) Review:

The Cutting Edge - Satisfaction in the struggle! Good banter between Edge, Orton and Hunter. They should have put fake blood on Christian's head. "Asshole" chants! Fun opening segment.

Kofi vs Axel - OK match while it lasted. Interesting finish with Axel going ham on Kofi.

Ziggler vs Wyatt - Decent match. Ziggler fails to overcome the odds again. "Is this not what you asked for?" Bray nailed his finisher, which usually looks awkward.

Heyman - LOL at Maddox outsmarting Heyman. "This is awkward" chants. Heyman running fast from Punk :D Punk beating the fake doctor. Good stuff.

Divas - It's good that the division is getting attention but I only like AJ, Kaitlyn, Layla, Nattie & Naomi. AJ going to get fined for swearing and the crack about Jerry liking younger women, but it was awesome!

Truth vs Del Rio - Decent match but the crowd crapped on it.

Cesaro vs Santino - Great Zeb promo. Cesaro's Giant Swing was a thing of beauty and who better to sell it than Santino! Cesaro swearing! Good match and the crowd dug Santino winning.

Sandow vs Miz - Crowd of Miz haters. Sandow flipped off the crowd before the Elbow of Disdain! Sandow won so I'm happy.

Orton vs Goldust - Good match. Orton looks revitalized since turning heel. Dustin hasn't missed a step.

RVD vs Ryback - "ADR ADR ADR!" Decent match that played to both mens' strengths. Goldberg chants are still annoying.

Ambrose vs Bryan - I'm suprised they didn't recap Bryan's win over Rollins on SD. Match of the show. Post-match was good, too. I like Ambrose but his limited moveset is getting boring.

Verdict: Great show. The crowd were (mostly) good. Edge and Heyman were good. Cesaro vs Santino was a nice surprise. The 2 main event matches delivered. We even got TV-14 swearing/comments/flipping off!

<p>Is there like, one guy in WWE creative who has to fill all leftover time with "Kofi vs. "midcard heel" until the audience has seen it roughly 400 times?</p><p> </p><p>

And the crowd's reaction to Santino is no surprise when you consider that he's actually Canadian and all Canadians recognize their own.</p>

<p>You're correct, I've only been paying attention to AJ so didn't realize it was a Fatal Fourway. As for the Tag Titles, I only remember the Tag Turmoil match being promoted on Raw, not the actual Tag Title match.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway, I hope the IC and US titles are added on Smackdown, otherwise the whole "Every title on the line" thing no longer applies to NOC.</p>

<p>I'm sure that the WWE will or does have a contract for JR to continue to do DVD's and many other things for them. I'm sure anything to keep him from moving to TNA <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Still, the quality of announcing from the WWE lately, the last few years hasn't been good. JR brought a ton of quality and style to the booth. One can't say that he's been a big part of the WWE for quite some time, but he'll always be recognized as the best at the desk. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm sure good old JR won't disappear from wrestling. Just have to wait his 90 days to end. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

let's be honest here though, isn't Gorilla a little overrated?

The guy won Worst Announcer 6 times for a reason, and people seem to let his reputation affect their perception of him. Don't get me wrong, Gorrilla was a great person, but I think JR is better.

Gorrilla just kind of repeated himself a lot. His team with Heenan was great, but he is overrated.

Like JR is any better? JR misscalled moves CONSTANTLY. For example I don't know how many times he called Whisper in the Wind as Twist of Fate. JR and King were great together in the Attitude Era, but I've hated JR's WWE run other than that. Back in NWA/WCW? Yeah, great announcer, but WWF/E? Gorilla blows him out of the water in my opinion.

on straight wrestling knowledge yes. I guess it truly is a matter of opinion so I shouldn't have come off that way. I didn't mind Gorilla's style, but he was very bland and dry, hence why they placed him with Heenan. Two polar opposites.

Now JR and King is similar, but JR was more entertaining (IMO) than Gorilla. I guess you really can't say any one man is the best commmentator, considering it was mainly their team.

The only person to have performed well alone that I can think of was Joey Styles.

I've always felt like a critical part of an announcers jobs is knowing your roster. Maybe it's the nerd in me, but I loved Mike Tenay in WCW and Joey Styles in general. Nowadays I really care for Jeremy Borash and Matt Striker.

I can't believe this discussion is even happening. Gorilla vs. JR. Ross wins every day. That guy could do a match look 10 times better than it was. Gorilla was more bland and repetitive and kind of...dry...in lack of a better word. King/J.R. was definitely the best pairing to ever work at that desk on the WWE. In their prime that is. Cause King nowadays is...well, what we see. And he went to the Stone Cold Show and said (using other polite words) that a spot with Ziggler was what caused him is heart attack. What's that all about? I know he wasn't accusing him per se, he even gave him some compliments, but why talk about this now? It seems that the WWE is really betting on burrying Ziggles. Will we ever know what he actually said in that famous Axess interview that pissed them so much? (Not to mention the rumours he had a disagreement with Orton.)

<p>Yeah I also can't believe anybody would legitimately try to argue Monsoon over JR. Nobody but nobody could make a match feel special the way Ross did. He brought a real passion that came through in his play-by-play in a way that elevated what he was working with. </p><p> </p><p>

And he loved skittles.

You see how he elevated those Skittles to the next level, how he puts them over? Those Skittles made it to the main event in just seconds. Those Skittles were automatically considered as the next WWE Champion. And "BY GAWD" they would eventually win the title in an epic match called by JR. Because they were frutty...and delicious!!! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> :D <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">NXT (Anti-Diva Edition) Review:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Amore & Big Cas vs Dawson & Rusev</strong> - Average match thar needed more time. Ended with a rare 5-count DQ finish after miscommunication between Dawson and the Bulgarian Brute.</p><p>

<strong>Bo Dallas</strong> - Now Bo believes he's Zayn's mentor! His schtick is entertaining. He did well to get his promo (thanking his Bo-lievers for their support while he's injured) out because the crowd were chanting and booing the entire segment.</p><p>

<strong>Banks vs Paige</strong> - Good match. These girls don't hold back! Sara Del Rey is doing a good job training them. "We will rock you" chant.</p><p>

<strong>Kruger vs Woods</strong> - Solid match between two guys who should be in the main roster midcard. Woods is a flashy, likeable babyface. Kruger has a really interesting character and a powerful mat-based style.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Verdict:</span></strong> Strong episode despite the lack of Sami Zayn. The women's and main event matches were enjoyable.</p><p> </p><p>
