What's going on in your game?

Recommended Posts

Building towards Summerslam and

  • I'm trying to be fairly vague with Cena / Punk just giving them promo time, as I don't think I can think of anything better than what we will see in the lead up to SS.
  • David Hart Smith has stepped up and beat Drew Mc and then Kofi K, to become number contender. I am going to have Dolph win but DH Smith was a Next Big Thing so that is why I'm pushing him.
  • The Miz is going to have tension with Rey, just as filler on the card.
  • Did the same with Beth P only a week later, she will beat Kelly x2 at Summerslam.
  • JoMo / Truth at SS, but I don't know where I'm going to go with, just going to keep attacks, promos going I think

  • Seth Rollins debuted on Superstars (which will soon become a stand alone brand) and teamed with Evan Bourne, he has 85 (B+) momentum and they have great chemistry. Next tag champion I think (I read Evan was the one who convinced Black to join the WWE.)

  • Sheamus is face and going after Mark Henry as in real life. Sheamus will go over him.
  • Randy / Christian as for the last few months will book itself.
  • Barrett will continue to tempt D Bryan to put his MITB on the line. For once a wrestler will be smart and say no, this will go on to build Daniel Bryan, he will come out top of the feud.
  • Struggling to find a opponent for Big Zeke.

  • I've also had Teddy Long make a couple of mistakes (one being offering stipulations even though HHH has cleared it up ) and then double crossing things. HHH on the show I'm booking now will come out and fire him. He say's he has a replacement and he'll get on the phone. At the end of the show / on the next show (IDK yet) Mick Foley will come out as new GM. In a couple of months Teddy will come back with a feud of disgruntled people (not sure who yet!)

Since Remi posted his WSU game information in the random thread, thought I'd try my own and see how I get on.

I've released:

Amy Lee

Angel Orsini

Autumn Breeze

Jana

Melissa Coates

Missy Sampson

Rick Cataldo

Roxie Cotton

So I've practically let go most of the workers so I have a blank slate and try to restructure the roster.

Inbound I was intending to have Alpha Female and Wesna Busic to fight it out in a three way feud with Manami Toyota. But from about a day later I find that Alpha wants to hang the boots up so that put the three way out the window. So decided to go with Toyota vs. Wesna vs. Super Janey B and have a plan to let Janey be the eventuall champion.

Signings:

Janey B

Bill DeMott

Alexa Thatcher

Blue Nikita

Britani Knight

Manami Toyota

Sarah Jones

Wesna Busic

Hopefully this goes well.

Summerslam 2011

CM Punk vs. John Cena - Punk to win I think.

Christian vs. Randy Orton - Christian wins.

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry - Sheamus wins.

The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio - The Miz wins

John Morrison vs. R-Truth - Morrison

Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett - Bryan I think

Dolph Ziggler vs. DH Smith - Ziggler will win this time but I intend on putting the belt of DH Smith soon.

Kelly x 2 vs. Beth - Beth wins (possibly with help from Natty Neidhart.)

On SD! Ted DiBiase turned on Cody Rhodes after a loss and Cody tried to "bag" him. Ted Ko'd him, this feud will come together at some point. Maybe at night of champions if I can squeeze it in. HHH announced the new GM will be at SD next week and the rest of the feuds came together for Summerslam.

Just hit International with TCW in April with Just Another Day being fairly successful.

Rocky Golden retained his title in a 3 way match with RDJ and Cornell.

Golden will now look to defend against Cornell with RDJ battling Sam Keith for another shot.

Golden and Keith are going to win setting up Golden Vs Keith Vs Cornell.

Cornell will try and talk Keith out of the match setting up a Keith Face turn.

Keith may end up with the title with Troy Tornado sitting with the “Sure Shot” MITB win. Just in case Keith decides to retire any time soon since he is 14 years past his prime. But damn it I want to give him one more shot of glory before he retires.

Now we are re-branded All League Wrestling we are ready for our next tour. I have not left Tohoku at all yet with my Juniors, and that will continue for this tour, however our new Heavyweights will set up base in Kanto to allow us to push to cult. The tag division will mainly feature with the juniors, however the Kings of Wrestling will make the odd trip to Kanto, as technically they are Heavyweights.

My rosters are:

Juniors:

Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Christopher Daniels

Davey Richards

Delirious

Dr. Wagner Jr.

El Generico

Jack Evans

Jimmy Yang

Kid Kash

Kyle O'Reilly

Michael Elgin

Ricky Marvin

Rocky Romero

Roderick Strong

Shuji Kondo

Ultimo Guerrero

Volador Jr.

Zack Sabre Jr.

My planned final is Roderick Strong vs Davey Richards, which was my final in my first tour, and was my ruined final in my second tour (Roderick got injured). The bad thing is Roddy is still out injured and will miss a third of the tour, so it may be tough to get him into the top 2. Rocky Romero will lead the way with Davey incase Roderick can't make it.

Heavyweights:

Bison Smith

Daisuke Sekimoto

Doug Williams

Erick Stevens

Fit Finlay

Hernandez

Karl Anderson

Keith Walker

Marco Corleone

Matt Morgan

Naoya Ogawa

Rene Dupree

Rhino

Samoa Joe

Tommy Dreamer

Samoa Joe is likely to make the final, however his opponent is to be decided. Smith, Morgan or Rhino are the most likely, but if anyone impresses my plans could change.

Tag Teams:

AIBOU

Fleisch & Storm

Golden Lovers

Kings Of Wrestling

The Briscoes

The Young Bucks

The Briscoes will make the final's for the third tour running, however will lose this time to the Kings Of Wrestling. (As long as everything goes to plan).

Sounds pretty awesome. I've always wanted to put the TCW World Heavyweight Title on Keith as well, but I've never managed to get it done. I think he deserves to be one of the few to have ever accomplished the feat of having held probably the three most prestigious belts in the Cornellverse--the Burning World Title, SWF World Heavyweight and TCW World Heavyweight. (Has anyone other than Sam Strong and Dread managed it? I'd certainly put Keith on that level.)

I once had a match pre-booked where I planned on giving Keith the belt, but he announced his retirement less than two weeks before it was scheduled to take place. I was pretty disappointed, but I definitely appreciated his professionalism in letting me know his plans before I put the World Title on him.

My undercard matches are horrible. Need to check if the CPU's NOTBPW does this bad with their non-main events.

Also I've had no fewer than three workers come up as Next Big Things. Success!

You have the likes of Westybrook, The Natural, and a couple others who should be able to anchor the midcard reasonable well. They aren't at the level of the Stone boys but they should do okay. Just need to be careful on the match-ups.

Hm, you make a good point. I'm underusing the Can-Am Blondes in the ring. I'll have to address that. My main issue at current is a complete lack of high calibre faces - it's sort've sucking away the availability of my midcarders, so the matches lower down the card wind up suffering. As for my women's division... well it's a mess right now. I have a couple of ideas for getting the girls more over but it's a definite work in progress.

Common crop is D - D+s until about halfway up the card, where we're pulling the B- - A grades.

One or two matches in the D- to D+ range wouldn't hurt that much. Half the card looking like that will, even with strong main events. While the great show grades are nice, you really don't need to be hitting constant B+ and better to grow from Cult. B and even B- still do fine. You may not hit National quite as quick, but you will still get there.

So I can almost fill Pennsylvania Park with PSW, which will help me profit a lot more from my Tri State shows.

Johnny Martin is my champ right now, mostly because he's my franchise babyface so my logical option to carry the company when Matthew Keith left. Nelson Callum is an incredible talent in his own right so he might step up himself.

I don't know about what any other long term TEW players think of him, but Cobra (the guy who strongly resembles Jake Roberts in both character and look) is an INCREDIBLE rookie talent. I wish he would be more willing to do more high-risk matches, but he's already a big asset in the ring.

Wooton Fitzpaine (currently masked as Redneck Warrior #2 in my game) has buddied up to both Mitch Naess and Alex Braun as of late. Which is only notable due to the sheer randomness of it than anything, as his brawling skills alone mean I have no intention of firing him or his tag partner.

SWF keeps bouncing from Cult to Global; they regained Uprising only to lose it the next month.

No drugs/severe injuries/deaths on my end yet, which is surprising given that I rarely do any matches below Average injury risk and that I took away the no drugs rules to try and boost morale some.

Yeah, it's slowly-but-surely, but we should hit National fairly soon - and in front of CGC, which I'm glad of, given the other default-nerf that I left intact was a CGC-NOTBPW war. Having said that, literally the only effect so far has been to make me have to pay one worker a little more per appearance, so no big deal.

- As a side note, the AI logic makes me laugh, sometimes. Of course, they can't take this into account, because it's backstory, but I find it funny anyway. So after the heavily hyped 'final battle' between The Specialists and Youth Energy, what do they do the first show of 2010? Team Nate Johnson (AKA, the better singles wrestler) with Whippy The Clown. Oh, and not only that, they put Shane Nelson and Joey Poison together too. (Then again, in another game, they teamed Youth Energy straight back together again, just with a different name).

Dark Angel agreed a touring contract with BHOTWG, meaning I basically lose him because of schedule clashes. I'm not sure whether to be annoyed that I can't use one of my better workers or pleased that it's one less of the raft of main event/upper midcard heels I have to find places for. (9, vs. 3 faces. I cry)

^ Is this in the default database, because all Quebec locations have English as a language in the CVerse. So there shouldn't be a problem should there?

Edit: nevermind I think it's because French is set to lots but English to some. I was thinking it would be the same deal as Puerto Rico but that has lots for both. Forget I said anything :)

Only French?

...

Another reason to hate Quebec...

No, not only French. That's the primary language, but bilingualism is common there.

There are some good reasons not to hate Quebec, too... Like interesting history and some of the most beautiful women you are ever likely to see...

I can't believe that Batista wants 50 grand a month, no house shows (or i'd have to pay him a lot more, going out of the wage cap) a title run, and ppv bonus and merchandise sales, travel expenses AND CREATIVE CONTROL! Are you kidding??? :D:D:D

Welcome to trying to sign really over workers. Don't know what mod you are using, but I'd probably guess he's about B+ or A overness. Wait until you have someone on your roster at A* and their contract comes up. Good luck with getting that deal done...

Oh god, I know that. I ended up giving Lobster Warrior a push (he was tormented by Marat, eventually decided to "stop playing around", then returned as Chris Morrisette), and that got him up to decent main event in no time...

Just in time for his contract to come up. He eventually agreed to a $50,000 contract, with creative control and paid travel expenses... but then again, that WAS a sophie game.

Once you hit International and Global, overness management becomes the biggest challenge of the game. One of the only challenges, in many cases. If you don't do it, you simply won't be able to resign many of your top workers.

True. I had a big Cena/Punk feud planned for a couple of months, and now it will only run one month before i start jobbing out Punk. His contract is almost over. Nad so is Rey's, who was going to hold the WWE belt until Punk resigned...not gonna happen. I guess Taker will have to come out of his vacations! (Glad i didn't gave him those vacations afterall)

A sophie game? Do explain.
