I think I'm biased in that I like War Games enough that I'm willing to bring in real promotions' proprietary matches when they work for me; I don't like to touch the Rumble - though the SWF has one now - but MiTB is something that tempts me simply because, as this discussion shows, only RVD has really changed the basics of the payoff to the story. It's nice to have a chance to do other things.</p>

After derek's massive post, I had to check what my rating for my (1st ever!!) SWF game's and (1st ever!!) TEW10 game's Supreme Challenge's rating was. 95, with Bruce vs. Money being rated 99 <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>I am in 2002 with WCW. Curt Hennig just died in January. He had a feud going with Kurt Angle for the US title. Plus Hennig was my current hardcore champion trying to prove that a good wrestler could beat a good hardcore wrestler any day of the week.</p><p> </p><p>

1st week of February I am holding a Curt Hennig memorial show called WCW Perfect Memorial for the Curt Hennig Cup. No idea who I am going to have win it but maybe Kurt Angle himself.</p>

<p>I am running a 0/0/0 fed right now, only running 1 to 2 shows a month, so i feel a little wierd about running specials like tournys, rumbles, mitb, etc but im thinking of an interesitng idea.</p><p> </p><p>

I havnt figured out the exact details yet, but someone have the World title AND MITB Case. A good way to do this would be maybe have somoene win my MITB equivillant say in.... July. run a storyline where the word title somehow gets vacated. have a tourny/rumble/battle royal for title and have the MITB winner win the World title in the tourny.</p><p> </p><p>

Next, at a big event, have the world title holder lose the title by getting screwed or some cheap victory. While the new champ, his manager/crooked ref/whatever are making a quick getaway, have the loser get on the mic and announce he is cashing in his world title shot, and have him win it right back in a cash-in match. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

While this is still kinda cheap like, the cash-in ALWAYS works, i think it would be an interesting new spin on things. Since the mitb winner wins the title without having to cash in originally, i think the fans would evntually forget the fact that he STILL holds the mitb. </p><p> </p><p>

Thoughts?</p>

<p>July 28th, 2010 - South West USA</p><p> </p><p>

Tonight, in front of a crazy crowd of 37,000 wrestling fans, this is time for SUMMER SHOWDOWN!!</p><p> </p><p>

Match 1: Kirk Jameson vs. Rick Law ©</p><p> </p><p>

Jameson and Law are both considered has future main eventers for TCW but before they could achieve this, they must raise in notoriety and experience. This match is for the International Championship and can be an stepping stone for the next level. Rick Law is the defending champion. </p><p> </p><p>

Kirk fought well against a physically more imposing Law. Even with an interference from his teamate James Hernandez, Kirk couldn't take the upper hand. The long arm of the Law cannot be dodged!</p><p> </p><p>

Winner: Rick Law retain the International Belt</p><p> </p><p>

Match 2: Danny Fonzarelli vs. Sam Keith ©</p><p> </p><p>

Sam Keith is a living legend and future hall of famer. They're not surprise that's why he's the current TCW Legends champion, a belt reserved to veterans wrestlers. His opponent is also a legend of his own, the disco stud love machine: Danny Fonzarelli!</p><p> </p><p>

Danny Fonzarelli is maybe a Dr. Love, but he's still an heavy puncher. Keith got quite a beating in the first minutes of the bout. Fortunately for him, his superior technical skill helped him to even the score. Finally, an exhausted Fonzarelly couldn't survive the PROTON LOCK! </p><p> </p><p>

Winner: Sam Keith retain the International Belt</p><p> </p><p>

Match 3: The Machines vs. The New Wave ©</p><p> </p><p>

Guide and Scout are the dominating force of the tag team division. No opponents could get close to threat their reign. The machines already tried, and failed, to get the belts back several times. Did this time will be different?</p><p> </p><p>

No, Guide and Scout are still the princes of the tag team. They easily kept their titles. Does anyone could challenge them?</p><p> </p><p>

Winners: The New Wave retain the Tag team Belt</p><p> </p><p>

Match 4: Tommy Cornell vs. Ricky Dale Johnson in a steel cage match.</p><p> </p><p>

The Syndicate and the Rebellion are fighting each other to the bitter end since 2008. Everyone tought The Syndicate dead but a rejenuvated Tommy Cornell with Wolf Hawkins kept the war going on, winning key victory against RDJ and Joey Minnesota. In the past few months, we saw former members Sam Keith, John Anderson and Brent Hill rejoining the rank of the Syndicate. In a shocking turn, star babyface Rocky Golden also joined them, making the Syndicate deadlier than ever. Tonight we will see another chapter of this war without mercy.</p><p> </p><p>

In an elaborate way, both Cornell and RDJ enters the rings with fireworks and pyrotechnics. The crowd is ecstatic! Inside the steel cage, two titans will clash again.</p><p> </p><p>

Both wrestlers exchanged blows and grapples for more than half an hour. None of them seeming to take a clear avantage to the other. As the minutes passed, the intensity of the fight is growing and growing. Cornell start pummeling RDJ in the corner until he starts bleeding. RDJ is blinded and can't see what's is coming. Atomic drop from the top rope, then a suplex, then a ddt. RDJ isn't defending himself properly. He's pinned, ref Sam Sparrow starts to count. 1...2....3!! Rough Justice he's still the best around! </p><p> </p><p>

Winner: Tommy Cornell</p><p> </p><p>

Too add to the insult, Sam Keith, Wolf Hawkins and Rocky Golden join Tommy to beat a defenseless RDJ to a pulp. He's saved in extremis by the intervention of Benny Benson and Joshua Taylor who clean the house and help RDJ to exit the stage under the acclamations of the crowd.</p><p> </p><p>

Match: Troy Tornado © vs. Joey Minnesota</p><p> </p><p>

This will be the first real test of the newly crowned champion, Troy Tornado. Joey Minnesota is one of TCW top workers and he's riding a huge wave of momentum because of his participation in "the Syndicate wars".</p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately, Tornado and Minnesota doesn't seem to click and the match wasn't the same standard of hype and psychology than the last one. The intervention of Bryan Vessey, who distracted the champion, give the match a second breath. Tornado finally wins after 35 minutes of fighting.</p><p> </p><p>

Winner: Troy Tornado retains TCW HW belt.</p>

The first two or three times it was great, with the first being awesome, but it has really, as you say, been over-used. The execution has been more than lame, and now that it is 2 times a year.. That is why I never use it in any of my games, and why it makes me a sad panda when someone uses it. Also, I disapprove Rumbles <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> To me, this is one of the big reasons (aside from the obvious ones) this game exists. So you can take concepts like Money In The Bank, make them work properly, and correct the execution flaws that exist in real life. I haven't used MITB much in my games because I don't usually play companies that are big enough for it. But the concept itself is awesome. As is TNA's expanded version, Feast or Fired. Actually I think I like Feast or Fired better because there all the major titles are in the mix. And somebody's going away as well. The ramifcations are so much greater.</p><p> </p><p> Not to mention the execution being better. Cases have been stolen and used or they've been feuded over before being cashed in. Sometimes even having been lost over the the course of the fued. And I believe I've seen cash-ins fail in TNA as well. In any event, there's a lot more intrigue around the TNA cases than WWE's as a general rule. I will say that given the formula they've used the E does seem to do a solid job of building up the fact the caseholder is lurking in the shadows as a constant threat to the champion. But that doesn't make up for the fact more goes on around the cases in TNA.</p>

<p>I've just passed a year in my SWF game on the 70's mod and am on the verge of hitting National imminently which I've been pushing for so I can get everyone on written deals.</p><p> </p><p>

This is the reason that a five man elimination match between Ares Aegaleus, George DeColt, Hagar Erikson, Micky Starr and Sam Strong was just held on SWF Slamfest to crown a new SWF World Heavyweight champion which got me a A rated show. Corporal Doom is on a touring deal with GCG and misses the big events which scuppered the plans to have him lose to Strong. So I moved the title onto Sam Strong who then gets a touring deal with BHOTWG but at least they don't tour on the days I need him.</p><p> </p><p>

Sam Strong was the SWF United States champion too but I've vacated it now with Strong winning the main title so thinking of ideas to crown a new champion as a tournament is the easy thing to do but like to try something else.</p><p> </p><p>

Held a eight man tournament at SWF King Of The Squared Circle which was won by Marcus McKing, who I'm slowly pushing with a view to making him SWF United States champion at some point.</p><p> </p><p>

Currently pushing the good chemistry team of Powerhouse Patterson and Wild Man Sullivan, managed by High Chief Malietoa, who are destroying everything in their path which will lead to a SWF Tag Team reign but that won't happen for a while as Deadly Gamble are fighting it out with The Party Animalz at the moment.</p><p> </p><p>

The first pay per view carrier has just started up and I moved quickly to get a deal with American Closed Circuit TV. I've also renewed the TV deal for SWF Sunday Slamfest with Sports America.</p><p> </p><p>

I've assembled a really strong roster so far and once I hit National, i'll be raiding left, right and centre as I'll be making a development territory too.</p>

Not sure I've got anyone in that kind of role, any suggestions to who I could use like that? might have them on the roster already. Powerhouse and Wild Man are already in the 90's across the USA so they're already legitimate threats.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>A new era has begun with APWF in May of 1979...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

We're broadcasted across the nation, baby! COAST TO FREAKIN COAST!!!!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

May be a bit... controversial... but I've decided to take this opportunity to "even out" all my guys overness. I'm incredibly BUGGED by the fact that the last couple of years spent broadcasting to half the country, not to mention all my big shows in the Tri-State (and weekly shows before we got back on TV) has left my roster with incredibly wonky looking overness, and even wonkier results from guys at the bottom of my roster. </p><p> </p><p>

So, as it'd both "recreate" the challenge of starting a bit from scratch (no half my roster with B- or more overness in the Tri-State, as it is now), I've decided to take the average of everyone's overness and use the editor to apply it to all of them (save a few folks that, for canon purposes, should be more over in certain areas). I know, I know... but you don't understand how incredibly bugged I am by the "The Minnesota Mauler has A overness in the Tri-State and E- in most of America" effect. It feels like cheating as it skews my grades in the Tri-State to obscene levels (see my enchancement talent getting an A match), and I'm basically paying a fraction of the financial price to get that. </p><p> </p><p>

But hey, I want a bit more of a challenge and it's my call. Besides, we aren't a "territory" anymore.</p><p> </p><p>

And again... woohoo!!! Coast to coast!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

....</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Oh, and if I somehow feel bad about this/feel it's cheating/decide from a canonical point of view that it makes too little sense to be justifiable... I made a back-up. Heck, wouldn't mind some input on how everyone else views this.</p>

He's Norwegian :p

Anywhooo.... National is a bit off, even now. Now that I've got national coverage on TV (still can't get on Closed Circuit TV for "PPVs"), I'll probably retreat back to holding shows mainly in the Tri-State to build up enough cash to start tossing out written deals. We burned a bit of cash in my push to getthe Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic popular enough for The Pop! Network's approval. I've outright refused to push Luis Montero simply for fear of SWF snatching him up like they did Sam Strong.

Ain't much changed in APWF since I last reported in. Just held Iron Will, our May big event, which featured Terry Lambert challenging Wild Man Sullivan for the Heavyweight title. Sullivan had been feuding with Marcus McKing (who has formed a small stable, The King's Men, with his lackeys Terry Carmen & The Minnesota Mauler). The faced off in a ladder match a month ago for the belt at APWF Forged By Fire, with Sullivan winning... after Terry Lambert (who was triumphant over Burt Selleck earlier in the night) interfered, attempting to push the ladder over with both men still on it. Sullivan, however, managed to snag the belt before getting sent to the ground...

Naturally, McKing feels "besmerched" and claims he would've won had not that foul little peasant Lambert spit on his divine right to wear the belt, and refuses to leave the picture. His demands at another title shot fell on deaf ears, with Franco Lambert natuarally giving his kid the shot at Iron Will instead. Ever bitter, Marcus McKing lead The King's Men (totally should sign Horse Svensson) in an attack during the main event, brutalizing both Sullivan and Lambert.

Oh, and Bill Popinowki, in a year with APWF, is yet to be pinned or forced to submit. And he just lost the Tri-State title in a fourway match (wasn't pinned!) to Trent Peak (AKA Mr. I Demand a New Belt At Least Once A Year)... and is now on a warpath, taking out anyone in sight (and frequently Peak and The Mad Hungarian, who lost the match).

Good times, good times...

Speaking of awesome, I'm Cappyboy and I endorse this pun. :)

Perhaps. But then the pun wouldn't have been as fun. "A Need For Swede" sounds like a good Hollywood Mogul movie. Too bad the Own Ideas section in mine is all caulked up at the moment.

So Scott Steiner has been having incident after incident. I have suspended him, fined him, gave him the riot act. He is on another suspension now but I am afraid that I may have to release him next time since my backstage has dropped below 80% lately. Job him to young guys and then cut ties to Scott Steiner.

I've finally turned Rick Steiner face and teamed him with Road Warrior Animal. Together they are known as The Legion. I plan on having them dethrone Sean O'Haire, and Mark Jindrak soon.

Bryan Danielson and CM Punk are rising up my lower card as a straight edge tag team. They are both heels and Bryan Danielson talks about how terrible people are that eat meat and such due to animal cruelty. I am having fun with this.

Hulk Hogan will be coming back in under a month now. With possibly losing Scott Steiner, and already losing Buff Bagwell, and Lex Luger it's time to bring in a main event heel. Hogan coming back as a heel a good idea? I dunno. Seems like him being a face would be the natural thing but I enjoyed him more as a bad guy.
