What's going on in your game?

Recommended Posts

I'm nearly at the end of March in my TCW game. World champion Sam Keith is feuding with Sean McFly, while the Syndicate continues to feud with the Freedom Fighters - which usually now includes The New Wave, as The Machines have rejoined Cornell and Hawkins. At the Another Day PPV, Rick Law will be revealed as the fifth member of The Syndicate. The midcard feuds are mostly as they started, though with plenty of crossover between the storylines. I just had my first A* show, which was just a random episode of Total Wrestling with some good matches. Have yet to book an A* match, but I get A matches with relative ease, given the skill level and overness of the upper part of the TCW roster.

I mentioned in the TCW thread that I put Cornell and McFly in a match for the first time on Total Wrestling. After considering holding off for a long time (which I might have done if it was a diary game), I decided to ignite an eventual long-term feud between them with a series of matches that don't really have a satisfactory result as they are engaged in other feuds. Well into the game - 2011, maybe even 2012 - they will actually feud and McFly will consistently frustrate Cornell by getting the better of him. McFly will be a TCW world champion by then, as he's going to take the belt from Keith before long and then drop it in the fall - probably to Joey Minnesota, though Hawkins, Law, and even Ino are possibilities.

The original intent of the game was to bring through young talent to develop into new stars - similar to my TCW diary game. That's out the window now. I blame Sean McFly. After jumping at the chance to sign him, I've signed damn near every talented worker that has come up. Steve Frehley was signed and sent down to development. I grabbed Tim Westybrook, Bobby Thomas, and Bryan Holmes. All three will work on the B show/brand, essentially as trainers. Holmes is talented enough I will do more with him in time. Thomas will bide his time until his partner Johnson's deal with CGC comes up in a few months, at which point I'll have a talented tag team to help the younger guys on the roster. I also just signed Liberty. I'm not sure why, beyond the history with TCW. Paid over the odds to get him, too. Never pried him away from USPW before, but now that I snaggged him, he's a bit less appealing. Good but not great, and not entertaining enough to really stand out. I think I'll make him the centerpiece of the B show/brand, as a nod to the history of TCW. He's near the top of the near retirement list, ahead of Sam Keith. So he might just be getting one last run... which would out nicely, actually.

I was not planning on doing a brand split this early into the game, but as I had TCW start with a B show and I've added a bunch of talent, its just a handy way to organize the roster. The first to be brought up from development were Samoan Destruction and the Keith Boys. Both teams were really only there to develop some tag experience with my touring child promotion, but because of the number of tag teams I had down there, neither team tagged together much. Both are jobbing on the B show right now. I have just brought up more talent who probably never needed to be in development - Steven Parker, James Prudence, Acid, Hell Monkey, Champgne Lover, and Gino Montero. Acid and Monkey team as Kaustik while Lover and Montero are the Kings of Wrestling. That whole group will hopefully eventually become the key midcard core of TCW. Lover will likely be a star along with a few others I have yet to bring up.

Definitely having fun with this one. I think I spend too much time planning games and not enough just playing.

I'v run my first B-Show :D

its so much fun, to promote people who cant stand themself in angles. I got so many plans to promote talent, that might not have gotten their chance.

Currently i'm running a series of Brisco Brother Vignettes, with them training with Jim Cornette, this is going to run for a while. I got more plans with them trainning and learning more moves and skills. Then they will be challanging for the tag titles, and probably win again.

I'm also runing Vignettes with the new mystery wrestler, he's masked...and the back of his ring jacket says "Warrior" with spanish colors in the letters, and his mask begin colored in the colors of Norway(my home country)

for now he's called "Warrior De Noruego" in english "The Norwegian Warrior"

ahh, life is great

I have finally managed to book more than one show with a promotion. That is MPWF in the fantastic CornellVerse 1977 mod. Just held one of my bigger shows of the year; Battle for Masks (Batalla de las Máscaras). Only one undercard match, where reigning trios champions Luis Montero, Cique & Solar defeated Baron Samedi, Papa Voodoo & Inca to retain their titles. Semi main evented by the endless MPWF founders vs. Capitao Brasil & Quasar, Capitao along side Mascara Roja were able to capture - two falls to one - the victory against veterans El Fantasma & Mephisto. But the main event was what the fictional fans came to watch. Blatantly stolen from CMLL and their Infierno en el Ring event, El Barbaro, friend El Aguila Americana and Quasar got locked into the steel cage, with the main title on the line. How it got to this point I hear you ask? El Barbaro & Quasar fought to a thirty minute time limit draw in a no #1 contendership match, so the fictional board of directors ordered the contenders and champion to fight it off in a three way bout. And just to make sure El Barbaro & Aguila don't team up too much (not like they couldn't.. but hey, don't tell the fans), Barbaro's & Quasar's masks are on the line as well. So the first man to escape the cage saves his mask, as well as gets the title, the second gets to save his mask, but the last one in the cage gets unmasked.. Unless he is the champion, as the title is his bet. So after over 30 minutes of brutal battle, El Barbaro is able to escape the cage, thus becoming the first ever two time main champion. The clocks stop at 36:23, when the bloodied and battered Quasar's feet hit the floor; Aguila is the last man standing in the cage, but because the title was his bet, he doesn't get unmasked.

So, it's the Batalla de las Máscaras, but no-one gets unmasked. Just great! :D

In my new WWE Oct game i have 13 storylines and 4 shows Raw and Superstars brand 1 and Smackdown and NXT brand 2

The feuds are:

Big Show vs S.E.S

The Storyline will probably be a long one as i plan for the S.E.S to crumble Gallows will get tired of being bossed around by Punk and leave the S.E.S possibly siding with Show that will happen in around 6 months when Joey Mercury returns from his Strained Bicep

Daniel Bryan vs The Miz wAlex Riley

Bryan is the US Champion this feud should push him to at least the Upper Midcard and maybe bring Riley to at least Midcard so he could maybe feud with Bryan for the title when Miz cashes in his MITB breifcase

Cena vs Nexus Invasion

This is Cena vs Barrett,Gabriel,Otunga,Tarver and Slater, Cena will lose to Barrett and Gabriel before taking out the other two, Gabriel may mve onto feud with Mysterio or Bourne while Barrett will probably fall to tag teaming with Regal or Drew McIntyre

Del Rio vs Mysterio

Alberto Del Rio is running his mouth attacking Mysterio after matches and cheating, this will lead to a mask vs wealth match if Mysterio wins Del Rio loses his fortune and if Del Rio wins Rey must unmask

Dudebusters vs Gatecrashers

Just a basic feud to promote the two teams in the tag division

Kane vs Undertaker

This is the war of the Brothers of Destruction where Bearer will possibly be put on the line, if Undertaker wins Bearer lives if Kane wins Bearer is burned by The Devils Favourite Demon

Lay vs Cool vs Phoenix

The breakup of Lay Cool when they face Beth Phoenix, McCool is the Undisputed Champion Layla will become jealous of McCool leading to a Three Way at a PPV

Marella and Vlad vs The Usos

Another basic tag team feud to promote the Usos

RKO vs High Cross

This will be Orton vs Sheamus's World Title Feud, the title will change hands and will climaxe at Wrestlemania 27 in a winner takes all match

Sinister Dashers vs Hardy and Bourne

Hardy and SD's newest aqusition Evan Bourne will team a few times and earn a show at the sinister dashers who will win the first match this feud should at least propel Bourne up the card to face either Mysterio or another small main eventer for a title

Swagger vs Masters

This will be Swagger with his new mascot Swagger Soaring Eagle, Masters will be beaten down by the two, Eagle will eventually turn on Swagger reavealing himself as Tyler Black

Ted vs JoMo

Ted and JoMo will feud over Maryse she will bring them together for a possible Tag Reign then will use them to get her a Championship before Ted and JoMo get jealous and fight for the services of Maryse

Ziggler vs Kingston

Ziggler wVickie is the IC champion he has cheated to every win over Kingston but at Hell in a Cell they will face of in a Steel Cage match wear Vickie can't help Dolph not sure whether he will lose the belt or not though

Running a draft game off the WotI 2 mod. I've lost about half of my main event to unhappiness, being too small, and owner blocking, and now that two of the feds have broken out and surpassed Cult, I expect to get pirated pretty hard in the coming months. Thanks to the bloated roster size from the draft, I've been able to make do, but I'd still rather be using people like Flair and Sting than Andre and Goldberg in my title picture.

World Title: DDP won the belt in an emergency hotshot after Andre dragged my whole product down for a few months. He's about to lose it to Goldberg in a blowoff match, and Goldberg will turn around and drop it to Austin.

TV Title: Mr. Kennedy won it in a feud with Bourne that just plain overstayed its welcome, so he's trying to recoup some steam in a feud with London.

Tag: WGTT have the difficult problem of being the only tag team at the proper level for the titles- they're in a holding pattern against the Road Warriors and the Four Horsemen (Currently Arn Anderson, Swagger, and Terry Funk) until I can build up one of my undercard teams.

Hardcore: Tazz won the belt almost immediately on debut, and instantly shot up to the ME. At a loss, I eventually had him literally throw the belt away so he could challenge for the World title. I'm having Road Warrior Hawk win a tournament to fill his contract stip, then I'll probably have him drop it to Funk or Meng so it can actually be a midcard title.

Other: I don't have enough screen time for many more big stories, but Tazz and Baker are feuding with Andre- Baker used to be Andre's backup, but attacked him after the world title loss, turning Andre face.

<p>Just held HIAC using the KYR mod. Here's some of the more notable things that happened;</p><p> </p><p>

- Natalya beat Michelle McCool for the Unified Diva's title. After the match, LayCool attacked her but she was saved by a returning Trish Stratus</p><p> </p><p>

- Alberto Del Rio defeated Rey Mysterio. As Mysterio got to his feet, Del Rio continued his attack only for Chavo Guerrero to save him. Chavo cut a short promo saying that Del Rio is a disgrace to Mexico and that if Eddie was still here he'd teach Del Rio a lesson. He says that unfortunately Eddie isn't so he'll teach him a lesson instead. Mysterio then hits a 619 on Del Rio and Guerrero follows it up with a Frog Splash.</p><p> </p><p>

- John Cena lost to Nexus after they attacked him on the way to the ring. Barrett took advantage of a weakened Cena and pick up the win meaning Cena joins them. Barrett threw a Nexus shirt at Cena, but, the GM sent Cole a message and said that because of the Nexus' attack, the stipulation was void.</p><p> </p><p>

- Kane defeated The Undertaker after James "The Sinister Minister" Mitchell made his WWE debut, throwing Paul Bearer into the side of the cell and leaving with the urn. 'Taker looked on as Mitchell headed backstage and when he turned around, Kane hit him with a massive Chokeslam followed by a Tombstone to retain the World Heavyweight title.</p>

<p>I'm running a custom built database from 1994 as WCW. Began in January 1994 and I'm so happy with the way it's turned out.</p><p> </p><p>

After running a Hogan/Flair feud from Bash at the Beach through Starrcade, Hogan emerged as champ at Starrcade and then held the belt through Superbrawl where he beat Vader in an upset with a rollup. The next night was my first ever Nitro, and after a year of building up workers, my transition to the new era for me began.</p><p> </p><p>

Davey Boy Smith upset Hogan for the World Title in the main event in an A rated match. </p><p> </p><p>

Shane Douglas lost the TV title to Too Cold Scorpio. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm now in June of 1995 and Rick Rude is my world champion and the most popular worker in the world, while Hulk Hogan is carrying a midcard feud with Randy Savage against the Dungeon of Doom.</p><p> </p><p>

Current Champs:</p><p>

World: Rick Rude</p><p> </p><p>

US: Dr. Death Steve Williams</p><p> </p><p>

TV: Bam Bam Bigelow (defeated Candido and Douglas in a Triple Threat match to earn the right to challenge 2cold)</p><p> </p><p>

Tag: Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck (defeated Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. Blanchard returned to the company to briefly reform the IV Horsemen. He and AA began bullying a bunch of jobbers, refusing to take matches with anyone but small wrestlers and jobbers. After beating up Whipwreck for a few weeks, Cactus Jack returned to WCW after a 3 month hiatus to assist him.)</p><p> </p><p>

Amazingly enough, the second most popular worker in the world is Lex Luger who has had amazing matches in the WWF with Bret Hart. I'm stunned he isn't their champion.</p>

<p>I began trying out MAW, in the C-verse...</p><p>

Its kind of diffrent, challanging and mind twisting.</p><p> </p><p>

First show you have to book is a tournement, so i searhed far and wide, got some talent signed and began thinking, Heel vs Face all the way.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="text-decoration:underline;">Round 1.</span></p><p>

Jay Chord d. Citizen X</p><p>

Mainstream Hermandez d. Cameron Vesey</p><p>

Matthew Keith d. Samoan Machine</p><p>

American Patriot d. MJC </p><p>

<span style="text-decoration:underline;">Round 2. </span></p><p>

Matthew Keith d. Mainstream Hermandez</p><p>

American Patriot d. Jay Chord</p><p>

<span style="text-decoration:underline;">Finals:</span></p><p>

Matthew Keith d. American Patriot</p><p> </p><p>

I sat down for a while, and though out a storyline, With Keith doing every thing he could to win the title, and was going to win in 3 months time, and holding the title for a LONG TIME. He was going to fued with: American patriot, Mainstream Hermandez, Samoan Machine. By that time i figured my roaster would be diffrent, but still planed Keith to be my main man.</p><p> </p><p>

Keith ran with my plan for 2 shows, first defeating American Patriot and Mainstream Hermandez at "MAW Wrestling Clasic" then he deafeated Samoan Machine for the nr.1 Contendership at "MAW Super Showdown", he was going to debute a new manager, and win the title at "MAW Americana 2010".</p><p> </p><p>

He left the promotion 1 week after Super Showdown, all my plans down the toilet....any sugestions who i can replace him with?....i need a good heel who can work well in MAW...</p>

<p>Argh, SWF just like being dicks to me. With the Steel City Supercard just around the corner they have stolen:</p><p> </p><p>

my best referee</p><p>

my announcer</p><p>

both of my road agents</p><p>

Trent Peak</p><p>

Alex Pierce</p><p>

and soon, (the very recent new Tri-State champion) Saionji Omura</p><p> </p><p>

Really, I could care less about Trent Peak leaving... but all the others are kinda annoying. The road agents were easily replaced (by Mark Krogan and General Kaos), but the quality of available announcers and refs is getting thin, Alex Pierce was just waiting for the time to start pushing him to the top, and Omura had recently formed a stable (as in last freaking show) with Kenzo Isozaki and the Black Serpent Cult. Oh, and did I mention he's the current Tri-State champion?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

On a positive note, I've built two new stars in recent months. Bill Popinowski continues his win streak, and meanwhile...</p><p> </p><p>

The ultra-underdog of the King Of Wrestling tournament, The Minnesota Mauler, shocked the world (well, the parts of America and Canada that gives two craps about APWF) by defeating the best APWF has to offer, including his former leader, Marcus McKing, in the finale. While The Mauler has a title shot against Bill Popinowski to look forward to now, he must also contend with an infuriated Marcus McKing, as The Mauler disobeyed his orders by entering the tournament (McKing originally forced the Mauler to relinquish his spot in a qualifier so McKing could compete) and then refused to lay down and allow McKing to pin him in the finale. Course, maybe The Minnesota Mauler would've been more cooperative if McKing hadn't treated him horribly for the last several months?</p><p> </p><p>

And now it falls on the hard-working, blue collar Minnesota Mauler to fend off a tyrannical monarch and a monstrous communist... <em>for America.</em></p>

<p>That's what the SWF does, Comrade... It almost doesn't matter who are or in what mod... If you're in North America, Supreme will mess with you...</p><p> </p><p>

Just finished up April in my TCW game. Where Angels Fear to Tread was my best show so far and my first A* pay per view, headlined by two A cage matches and a total of 4 A matches on the card. I'm still running my primary two storylines The Syndicate and Keith vs McFly. I've had Rick Law rejoin the Syndicate, giving them five strong members again. Without the world title (The Machines have the tag titles), its just not quite as strong or intimidating. Regarding the world title, the plan is to have Keith drop it to Sean McFly at Total Mayhem at the end of May. </p><p> </p><p>

The B show is a lot of fun, and I added a couple of midcard titles to give the B show workers something to feud over. Liberty is my B show anchor. I also have Steve Frehley on there, though he will move onto the main show and become a key player down the road. </p><p> </p><p>

I am playing around with two questions... The first is what to do with Sam Keith once he drops the belt. The title reign was meant as a "last run" for the old guy, but he doesn't seem that close to retiring and he can obviously still work at a high level. My first thought is just to keep him in the main event, but that's getting pretty packed and giving a chance for some younger guys to headline seems like a good idea. Could also put him together with his boys, but given they are getting over quite rapidly from being jobbed mercilessly, I don't know that they need it. Thinking I might put together a Keith Familiy stable, putting Sam with his kids and a close-to-the-top established worker - maybe Troy Tornado. Sam can have some fun feuds - Vessey, Minnesota, RDJ - and then lead into a feud with his own kids after they feel he's helping out the fourth stable member more than them. </p><p> </p><p>

The second question is Azaria & Rhodes. They both still stink. Loyalty and continuity have me sticking with them. But I have stolen Tommy London from NOTBPW (he's at A Announcing) and have plenty of good color commentator options - Sara Silver, Liberty, Melanice Florence, etc. I should be using a better combo as the primary announce team, but it just feels wrong to demote Azaria & Rhodes....</p><p> </p><p>

Random annoyance... I set up Bulldozer Brandon (under the Patriot mask as American Dozer) and American Elemental (cheated before I started the game to grab him from WLW) as a tag team, Stars & Stripes, in my child promotion. The whole reason for cheating to put AE there was so they could gain some tag team experience while Dozer developed. The idea was to have them become a really good team over time, then eventually have Dozer turn on AE. Set up Dozer as a singles star - without the mask - and AE becomes a prime player in the cruiserweight division of TCW. The plan is still the same, but my child promotion isn't using them as a team. They are set up to have a lot of tag matches, but tend to use the same few teams. </p><p> </p><p>

Random SWF annoyance... I just realized that Angry Gilmore has worked one match so far. Through four months. No injuries or reason. He just isn't working. And yet I know that even if his deal came up immediately (it doens't for awhile), he would stick with them since they are still bigger. Grrrr....</p>

So I'm playing for the first time in months. I am using the KYR October update. I made it so no one had any contracts and I am playing as TNA and went on a hiring spree. I have a lot of big names.

To crown my first champion I'm holding a tournament of all my main eventers and upper midcarders.

The first round was:

Booker T defeated Carlito

Rey Mysterio Jr defeated Big Show

Sting defeated William Regal

Samoa Joe & Shelton Benjamin defeated Kevin Nash & Scott Steiner(Made a tag match because of time constraints)

Abyss defeated Nick Nemeth

Ron Killings defeated Jeff Jarrett

Kane & Undertaker defeated Matt Hardy & Bobby Lashley(made this a tag match since I ran out of TV time...lol)

Jeff Hardy defeated AJ Styles

Chris Jericho defeated Rob Van Dam

Kurt Angle defeated Mr Anderson

Next round is going to be at Bound for Glory and the line up is

Booker T vs Chris Jericho

Sting vs Kane

Undertaker vs Kurt Angle

Rey Mysterio vs Jeff Hardy

Samoa Joe vs Abyss

Shelton Benjamin vs Ron Killings

Also at Bound for Glory I'm going to crown the rest of my initial champions with little mini tournaments. Not sure on who the contenders will be since I haven't signed everyone I want to yet.

I'm also going to start a storyline involving Kevin Thorn and possibly Vampiro. Thorn is going to start a stable called the Brotherhood and he's going to hopefully work his way up the card. He's an opener now, but I want to make him the future main heel of the company.

Turns out, they have poor chemistry. A shame, too, because even with Popinowski being a talentless pile of muscles they managed to pull out a B-. Easily would've been a B, maybe even a B+, if that wasn't the case.</p><p> </p><p>

Oh well, I left myself an "out" should something like this happen so that they can both move on to other feuds.</p>

WWE:</p><p> </p><p>

On RAW we have the two main fueds of Orton vs. Sheamus and Cena vs. Nexus. Nexus started to branch into mini story lines (Slater vs. Bourne, Gabriel vs. Kozlov, Tarver and Otunga winning the titles from the Hart Dynasty), but the main story remains Cena vs. Barrett. At SummerSlam Orton defeated Sheamus for the title and Barrett cheated a win away from Cena. In other fueds the Miz vs. Bryan fued is moving towards it's conclusion. Miz will drop the US belt at Night of Champions. Edge is attacking R-Truth because he hates wrestlers who rap. John Morrison and Jericho started a bloody feud that will lead to Morrison 'injuring' Jericho with a big move at the end of September. There was a bit of tension between Edge and Jericho after they blamed each other for a tag loss, so Edge cost Jericho a shot for the title at Night of Champions (leaving him free to face Morrison).</p><p> </p><p>

On SmackDown a lot came from Rey Mystereo failing yet another Drug Test (his 2nd strike a 1 month suspension). The scheduled Kane vs. Rey title match was scratched and Vince McMahon announced it would be Drew McIntyre vs. Kane. Matt Hardy of course had issue with this, and began to verbally abuse 'the boss'. Meanwhile Kofi lost his belt to Dolph Ziggler. At SummerSlam Kane beat Drew with help from Hardy. Vince officially challanged Hardy to a match at Night of Champions. After the match The Undertaker returned to attack Kane and reveal Kane was the one who coma'd Taker. While Matt was the one feuding with McMahon it was Kofi Kingston who made the biggest impact, getting in the bosses face and DEMANDING a title shot. At first Vince refused, but after Kofi began beating of Drew to 'weaken' him Vince traded Kofi being in the match for Kofi not being able to touch Drew before the match. Dolph feuded with my user char: Shawn Micheals Jr and also MVP. MVP will be taken out of it, as he just started a tag team with JTG (good chemistry) and will be taking the titles from Nexus. Christian and Swagger have been at each others throats lately and that seems to be a boiling feud as well.</p><p> </p><p>

In September there will be a new brand: WWE Minor Leagues. It will be replacing NXT. The Divas have joined this brand, as they have there own show WWE Divas. It will be replacing Superstars. There was a tournament to unify the Woman's and Diva's titles into the Woman's titles. Although Beth was not in due to injury she challenged and defeated McCool and Layla in consecutive weeks to win the title.</p><p> </p><p>

I have been trying to book TNA in a very TNA style. To start the Knockouts had a clusterflock of a match, with a six way match for the KO title won by Hamada then a tag match: Sky and Love vs. Rayne and Tara won by the 'Tararyzers' Rayne and Tara. Hamada and Wilde couldn't participate in the tag match because Hamada won the KO title just before, leaving Wilde looking more than annoyed.</p><p> </p><p>

The Nash and Sting story took a turn as Jarrett began to stick up for Hogan. He recruited Hernandez and together they beat Sting and Nash at Hardcore Justice.</p><p> </p><p>

After the ECW reunion, Raven turned on Tommy. In the match at Hardcore Justice Raven did what he always does: beat Tommy Dreamer. This time he had help from a masked man. </p><p> </p><p>

The Guns won the final match of the best of seven series, retaining the title. They were challenged by The World's Best Tag Team Haas and Benjamin. TWBTT had just beaten Team 3D in a table's match at Hardcore Justice.</p><p> </p><p>

Brian Kendrick continued to try to win over ECW. They kept saying he's not 'insane enough for them'. Kendrick went over Stevie in a decent match at the pay per view, but it doesn't seem like ECW accepts him yet.</p><p> </p><p>

In the sub-main storyline of August, Fourtune looked to be going strong. In a match pitting the newly turned heel Pope (jealous of Hardy's pops) vs. Jeff Hardy Fourtune attacked both men. Angle and Anderson came down for the save, which only led to the match being thrown out. This served as a good move to Anderson and Angle vs. AJ and Kaz. The faces won clean over Kaz. AJ turned on Kaz 'kicking him out of Fourtune'. Finally Foley beat Flair in a bloody match, followed by AJ beating down Flair as well. Fourtune is dead, long live the Stylers.</p><p> </p><p>

In the main story RVD beat Abyss. Afterward Abyss beatdown RVD with 'janice'. RVD looked injured. Yup.</p><p> </p><p>

Trying to get back going in my IWL game after having let it sit for a bit. Just hit my 100th show for the company and got the extra skill point which I put toward Negotiation. Pretty much all the plans I had before are still intact. I'll be more expansive after I hit the end of the current game month which is February of 2012. Have a new "world" champion coming and looking at some turns as my road agents are starting to talk of certain people getting stale in their characters.
