"Destroying" would literally mean 10-8's all round with GSP, which would be ridiculous.

I can't really give you Hardy either. "Almost" doesn't mean much. And Shields didn't look ground meat after his fight-he didn't look anywhere near as bad as Fitch and Koscheck did.

As for his other stoppages, like Daffanka has said, he's finished mostly LW's, or, earlier on his career, a lot of people that weren't as good as him. It doesn't discount his finishes at all, but lately, he's been rather ultra-defensive.

Regardless of semantics GSP not only thoroughly defeated his last several opponents, but he left them battered and badly damaged. Under the researched definitions, that would be considered "destruction" lol.

I just have a hard time saying ANYTHING negative about him or Silva regardless of how much of a percentage it might be true. I love greatness and I respect it. Boxing has so few greats anymore that I wish MMA fans embraced greatness more than they do. Guys like Silva and GSP might not be around for much longer. I'm not saying Amp or anyone on this thread was doing this. They weren't.

But there is a thing MMA fans love to do and that is take a great, amazing fighter and break down his so-called obvious flaws that don't ever get exposed until well past his prime. It's just not a philosophy I personally subscribe to. I like to acknowledge complete and utter dominance when it's glaring me right in the face. In any sport. And in MMA, we have Silva and GSP. Bones is getting there. I think in a year if Bones gets through Machiuda, Evans, etc he's right there.

Someone is going to get KTFO'd. We're not getting a normal KO here; I predict a highlight reel KO.

For Leben/Munoz, I'm picking Leben by TKO. I think Munoz is going to stand and bang with Leben and he'll pay for it.

A normal KO for either of them is highlight reel. Not a huge rumble fan but will be rooting for him here. Hope he takes Belfort out and punches the back of his head for good measure.

Really not amped for the UK card considering I was originally thinking of going, working as well so going to miss it when it's actually on.

He just got caught up in the moment; besides, Akiyama lost several in a row, and probably should have lost to Belcher. Akiyama's decision to stand with him was a bad one.

Anyone else actually going to 138? Yes I'm one of the 12,000 schmucks who bought tickets. It's been my eighteenth recently, screw all of you.

Let me answer your question by giving you my UFC Saturday itinerary. Bare in mind that it's my job to cover MMA events; I get paid to go, get press credential tickets, have my travel and hotel paid for etc.

6am: Go paint balling with a group of 15 guys for our mate's birthday

4pm: Home and shower

5:30pm: Watch the John Maguire fight on Facebook with the Tsunami boys (John's team mates, my gym)

6pm: Out for dinner, consolation drinks after John gets lay 'n' prayed for 15 mins.

7pm: Off to a mates cocktail bar, free drinks, continued birthday celebrations.

11pm: Nightclub, dance like idiots. Moan that we are five years older then most people there.

1:30am: Run back to mate's bar, change into t-shirts, trainers and glow-sticks.

2am-6am: Rave. Hardhouse, dubstep, drum 'n' bass. Dance like massive idiots. Moan that we are 10 years older than most people there.

6:30am: Back to mates house, pass out in pile of mangled bodies and minds in front room.

2pm Sunday - Pile onto mates couches with sleeping bags, watch DVR'd UFC 138, laugh at anyone who bought a ticket. Reminisce that this didn't used to hurt as much when we were all 19.

Serious answer: It just wasn't good enough. Ticket prices went up again, card quality went down again. While tickets prices don't affect me, it's the principle of the situation.

I'm not one of these people who moans about the UFC treating us like second class citizens, because we ARE. We'll get a better card or two next year to sweeten the move to Sky Sports, but we're a small market for the UFC in comparison to their plans for South America, Asia etc. Trust me, I go to some woeful MMA events; I know what a bad card looks like and this isn't one. Some good fights, and great matchmaking. The worst UFC event ever blows most of the stuff out of the water, but most events aren't charging £100 for an average seat.

My issue is this: I get asked all the time why the UFC's UK cards get worse while the ticket prices get higher. My answer is always the same: Because they sell 10-18,000 seats regardless. If you think the cards are rubbish, vote with your wallet, because that's the only thing they'll react to. I can't tell people that and not follow my own advice, so I simply decided to give this one a miss on principle. They've had such little press interest in this one that they're even letting some of the UK MMA blogs in, which has NEVER happened before. Says a lot.

Um how were Shields, Hardy, and Alves (3 out of last 4) badly damaged again and destroyed? Kos who got the worst, got his injury very early in the first at what point GSP decided "hey my opponent can't beat me now, I can just sit here and jab and not care for four more rounds then go party! Whoop whoop! Don't wanna risk a bruise when I got a Gatorade commercial tomorrow"

What I recall is GSP being the one coming out with serious injuries in two of those fights (eye and hamstring), not his opponents. Defending fighters you like works better when you don't make things up and ignore what actually happened.

I respect GSP as easily one of the most well rounded fighters but "destruction" is a bit much when its more like "sparring session" results.

I know, in theory, that I shouldn't buy tickets and make them put on a better card, but I missed out on tickets last year and the year before and basically I want to go to some decent fights. I've been to many half-assed regional events, I've stayed up all night to watch fights from the states and I'm a little sick of not having anyone to talk fights with. So I'll go, I'll sit in my £50 seat and I will enjoy myself. Sorry if I'm messing with your moral battle but it's making he happy, and that's what counts, right?

Even if this card was being held in the o2 arena, a venue which is easy for me to get to, there is no way I would pay to go see this card. I might not even watch it on ESPN....

I respect your opinion and all, but as I have said, I have missed out on tickets to 120 and that one in the MEN, and there's plenty of enjoyable stuff on the card. I live many miles from any arena the UFC would consider visiting (the only one within easy commute down here is a 4,000 seater, and I think that's a little small) so I'm grasping this opportunity with both hands. So LoNdOn? IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK! ;)
