If their tickets didn't cost an arm and a b*****k they wouldn't need to give so many away.

To be honest, I've always thought that the UFC is quite reasonably priced, at least compared to boxing...even to Premiership football. What does a good seat at Man Utd or Chelsea run to these days? £35-40? if you go to 15 home games a season, thats what, £600?

The UFC only hits the UK once or twice a year...my cageside seat at the last one was £250...thats nothing on a ringside seat at a good boxing match. I had mates with incredible seats in the lower deck, just off the floor, right in line with the cage and they only paid £100.

You're paying for the best after all. Go to a small, local show and you can get a ticket for £10-15 quid or cageside with a waitress for £50.

I get what you are saying about the UFC prices not being that bad, but I pay around £400 for my season ticket at Wolves, and get to go to every home game of the season between August and May, so when you think you couldn't even go to two UFC events cageside for that price it puts it a bit more into perspective.

(Granted, we are Wolves and not one of the top clubs, but at least we get to see the Rooney's, Drogba's and Torres' of this world regularly!)

Boxing is more expensive yes, but the UFC and MMA in general does not yet have the same volume of fanbase that boxing does. (Although they are getting closer as the years go by). The moral or this story is that I am tight fisted and it takes a lot for me to part with that kind of money. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

I would like to see two separate stats: one indicating the overall quality of the card, and the other indicating the overall attendance/viewing/buyrates based on the anticipated quality of the card. I think this would give the player a clearer idea of what happened. Then, if the 'quality' stat says that the show was really exciting and well-received by the people who watched it, you know that you won't take too much of a hit in popularity, because word-of-mouth from the people who saw the fight will be positive. However, the 'viewing' stat will let you know that fans avoided the card because they didn't know the fighters and expected it to be weak.

Okay so will someone explain this. I put on a card with a great Mainevent and Co ME. then my other three fights on the undercard were popluar, even my two perlims would have been popular on the under. Then my lowest rated match was good. I still scored an awful...... So I guess my question is what am I doing wrong.

I have looked at the help book as well.

There is no easy way to explain that (evidently). The logic behind it is completely mind boggling to be honest. It's something to do with the 'name value' or how popular the fighters are on your show.

Okay, so I would understand if I was getting 'very poor' if I'd put on four regional level fighters in my two main events for UFC, I would expect a kicking if I did that.

But if you put on for example, Lesnar vs Carwin and Rua vs Rampage Jackson, as I did earlier for my co-main events, and a solid undercard with a lot of 'name' fighters, and the fans opinion when you book them says they would be a popular choice for every match you book (must not have a problem with their 'name value' beforehand then?), you make an absolute packet from the PPV buys and good attendance, all of the fights range from decent to fantastic individually, yet your 'show rating' is 'very poor'?

It's an obviously flawed system that I guarantee we will not encounter should there be a WMMA3, or at least the wording will be changed.

What I can't understand is that as UFC, I have just run, on paper, a very very solid UFC 114 (you'd never see so many top names on one show in real life, I wanted to test the rating system on this occasion) - my popularity was 70% in USA before the event, yet after a 'very poor' PPV, it has plummeted to about 50%?

Answer me this - if the majority of my fighters on the show were popular and good name value, all of the fights turned out good and exciting, I was told by the fans that all my matches were good/popular before the event, how exactly do I get 'very poor' rating?

Did you book in advance?

Sometimes a previously good show will raise your popularity beyond the point that the main events will be rated well.
