The hell am I gonna do with another color commentator? grrrrrrrr :p

 

Great render btw. I really like jtlant's Jeri render too. The Willow render is real good too, perhaps a bit of a babyface slant.

Been away from the forum for the past few weeks and haven't been able to play too much TEW, but I really love the renders that have been added as of late. I'm gonna be busy right clicking and saving all night. :eek:

I won't even go into the people that actually sell tickets and put fannies in seats. Sure, it's not as big as your roster, but you have three brands at Global. I have no brand split and I'm Cult. How long until you reach National? I've gone a tad bit insane when it comes to opening development territories. We have $90 million+ in cash and it's absurd. I've just been buying title belts, purchasing venues, and opening development promotions. I have 14 now with 5 having been purchased and the others through pacts. There's 50 active promotions in the game world. With WCW included we control 15 out of 50 promotions. That's 30% of wrestling monopolized. :p

 

I have 51 non-active workers. My roster is ridiculous. Its one of the reasons I haven't been able to play it much (along with being a bit busy). I have no problem picking up where I left off and considering it's the only save I've played it isn't hard remembering everything that's happening. I'm currently on the first day of January 2022. Waiting some time before I break into the new year. American Patriot was #1 on the Top 100 and Wrestler Of The Year for the second year in a row. Very pleased with that. :cool:

Announcer - 5 (I have Tommy London who I stole from NOTBPW a year ago and he'll be retiring when his contract runs up in a month. Glad a random worker generated who had 90 announcing / colour from the start. He's working my B-show in preparation for taking over Tommy's position)

Color Commentator - 5

Referee - 9 (3 per brand)

Manager - 21

Personality - 2

 

When Tommy London retires I'll have the 9 announcer / colour combo I prefer. As you can see I like having three of everything on each brand. :o

Almost never use managers. If they come with the promotion, I'll try to use them, but I never hire new ones, and they tend to get lost in the shuffle. Cat Jemson posed nude recently in my AAA game, and I'm trying to use that boost in popularity to my advantage, to help some clients, but... I simply forget to use her. Find it hard enough keeping track of my workers.

I'm guilty of this too. With smaller rosters it's easy to remember but with larger rosters or when their client moves on sometimes I forget to assign them to someone else. Or in a fed large enough for house shows I may assign them to work with someone to check chemistry and then still bypass them later on even though I have messages about them.

I'm pretty good about using the manayers, (Ricky Ricardo reference), myself. I always make it a point to turn my promotion into a 'Superstar Factory' if I can, churning out superstars as often as I can, and manayers are a major part of that business plan.

 

Still, 31 manayers....

Love that David Stone. There's an jerkish quality that I really like. Cool hair too. I don't seem a have a good short hair prop.

Currently in February and at my current pace, my "Wrestlemania" event (Genesis in November) will be the one that takes me over the top. At least that's the plan. If someone catches fire (besides Cherry Bomb), that could change. Money's not a problem, workers are. If I opened a new dev territory, I'd have to move some folks around and then pillage AAA and I don't want to do either yet. I'm going to make AAA die by a thousand cuts.

 

Christ, do you guys pair every wrestler with a manager or something? I'm so bad at overlooking managers most of the time, usually they just sit on the bench the whole time.

 

Yes. Every wrestler or tag team (or stable) gets a manager, even if they don't need one (hi J.Ro and Grace!). I treat managers like I treat tag teams: often ignored by others, so they HAVE to feature heavily in QAW (or AJW, as the case may be). Can't be 'revolutionary' and 'counter culture' if you're maintaining the status quo, after all.

 

That's an awesome Charlize, Self. That face is magnificent!

Although it initially sounds like power-gamey overkill, giving every a manager isn't ridiculous. Everyone in UFC has a cornerman or 3. Just gives the promotion a different feel. Then you can have one ultra-bad-ass-lone-wolf who doesn't need anyone in his corner. Stone Cold Stacy Austin.

I guess it's different. The difference with UFC though, is that no one really cares that much who their managers are. With wrestling, the managers are usually a major part of the story behind the character, and actually get involved in the storylines and matches.

 

I think if they did that in real life... over half the roster in WWE/TNA having a manager... it would just look weird, and probably cause more harm than good.

 

I'm more the type who takes between 2-4 managers and gives them multiple clients.

 

So I'll agree that it's different. Just not in a good way. Like TNA using KOTM... different and probably sounds cool in a TEW diary, but, irl, EWWW.
