zaphenomenalone
Yea that's how I go about setting up my cards is through the in game rankings. Just sucks that seeing fighters on great win streaks not ranked in game at all.
Rebby
It's worth noting that Straweight only very recently became a weight class under the unified rules of MMA.
BHK1978
In terms of official Blurcat rankings, the game only recognizes Flyweight to Super Heavyweight. As far as I've seen, it doesn't recognize Strawweight, Angelweight, or anything lower. This is something to do with the game itself, so there isn't anything you can do (to my knowledge). However, you should still be able to view your own rankings in your company which will at least serve it's purpose in terms of determining your contenders. I have heard of Strawweight but what are the weight limits for Angelweight? Are there actually any fighters in the real world that fight at Angelweight? ManUnderMask
I have heard of Strawweight but what are the weight limits for Angelweight? Are there actually any fighters in the real world that fight at Angelweight? Strawweight is 106 to 115. Based on that, I'd guess Angelweight is 100 to 105 (in WMMA, since you can't drop the weight class below 100). This is the first time I've ever heard of Angelweight, and a Google search turned up nothing, so I'm of the mind that this isn't an official weight class, though I like the name and should it ever become an official weight class, I vote it Angelweight as the official name. As far as real fighters, I read an article that says Pancrase added five lighter weight classes (100 - 104, 105 - 109, 110 - 114, 115 - 119, 120 - 125), but I haven't seen anything else about it. Rebby
Yea, Angelweight isn't official, but it's considered 105 and below. I think I got the name off of Sherdog, but I could be wrong. Either way, it's certainly not official by means. The lowest legitimate weight class, as far as the unified rules of MMA, is Strawweight.

Pancrase calls their 100 to 104 class Minimumweight, which also works, though Angelweight is better. I've used Paperweight in the past myself. Rebby
I never realized that you could play as a company that is owned by another, and the idea of working around a parent company intrigues me. One feature in TEW and WMMA I've love is to run a child company and have to work the bookings around the constant "promoting" of talent away from me and "demoting" of talent down to me. I just like the idea of that kind of challenge. But I haven't see any AI companies actually call people up from their child companies. Does this happen? I don't know if it's worth starting a Strikeforce game just to find out.
VBigB
Does anyone know what public perception of a region affects and what causes it to change? In my current game I've noticed quite a few regions the public perception has changed to zero. A few others have gone up from their starting values as well. As a specific example, all the regions in Australia start the game with 20 percent public perception. In 2006 in my current game Queensland has 0 percent public perception and Western Australia has 31 percent. The rest of Australia remains at 20 percent. Fantabulous
After you've converted WMMA2 data to WMMA3 data, what editing is needed to fighters, etc, to bring it into line with the changes in the game?
Blackman
You don't really HAVE to change it, sometimes the stats are converted themselves. 'Exotic' punches and kicks ratio needs to be set, amongst some other minor stuff like 'menace' etc. Anyone ever see a German Supplex, T-bone suplex etc. happening? I've simulated a lot of matches but never saw that since I still haven't got the 'achievement'. I'm curious. Maybe it's because I always try to have equal matchups (so no david vs goliath-type match-ups)?
Skaternash
What the menace attribute mean ?
Blackman
It's how 'scary' the character looks. A low menace might look like a 'Mr. nice guy' or might not look at all like a fighter, while a high menace might suit guys like Kane and Undertaker (to name a pro wrestling example). ManUnderMask
So is there a way to edit how long a fighter is out after a fight? It makes it impossible to sim a Bellator style fed with weekly shows when you fighters don't recover for two months.

It makes it impossible to sim a Bellator style fed with weekly shows when you fighters don't recover for two months. I have never actually done it but I cannot see why this would not work, just change your fighter's preparation and recuperation stats. The lower their preparation stat is, the less time they will spend in their training camp. The lower their recuperation stats is, the less time they will want off between fights. So I would say try messing around with those two stats and see if things work out the way you would like them to.

I like simming real world fights that are upcoming, and I decided to go back to the beginning of some of the real world orgs, and it's a huge pain when an org, say Dream, has a card two weeks after their last and the same fighter is on both cards. I have a work around for it, but I wish I didn't have to do it.

I thought menace meant how fast the fighter's popularity rises. I've been upping people's menace for a long time now since it is difficult to be a super power org with ppl taking forever to get popular. how weird that I was wrong

Blackman
Menace, just like looks or charisma, is just a matter of determining the character's popularity. To simpliy, a character needs to be adept in at least one way of the 'force' to become well-known. People can get popular from being charismatic to being scary. It all depends on the 'best' statistic.
