9000-verse v2.0 Complete RELEASED

Recommended Posts

Here it is!

What is The OVER 9000-verse mod?

It's a fictional mod that takes characters from video games, comics, greydog software forums, anime, manga and pop culture, and smashes them all together in one gameworld. You can find some more info here

GIMME NOW!

You can find all the data and images here.

Latest (probably) beta is linked to in this post (Some, but not all of the new stuff in the beta listed here)

http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll327/crayotic/title_screen-3.jpg

You can use this as a TEW title screen as well btw

(just rename it title_screen.jpg and place it in your Skins\Default\Backgrounds\ folder)

I'm new to this. How do I install all this?

First, you need a copy of WinZip, WinRar, or 7zip. Extract the 9000-verse_v2.0-DATA.zip to your TEW databases folder (example: C:\Program Files\TEW2010\Databases\) and all the IMAGES files into your TEW pictures folder (example: C:\Program Files\TEW2010\Pictures\). Any extra folders you need should be automatically created (so long as WinZip, WinRar, etc. is configured to).

That's a lot of pictures, why so many?

Because you're a very lucky person and I want you to have lots of visual options. Okay, it's probably a bit of overkill, but time constraints meant that I couldn't cull the picture packs any. My apologies go out to your bandwidth.

So you're calling this "complete". Is this the end of it?

Hell no! "Complete" is a bit misleading since I'll continue to update this mod with new workers and promotions. I'm just calling it complete since I need to differentiate it from the beta versions that were out before. There's still lots I can, and will, add to this.

Ha!.... Very cool, I lost like 60 lbs for this mod! (would be considered a light heavyweight to heavyweight, depending if it's summer or winter, lol).

A 'lil MMA for my six years of boxing (*golden gloves for a good part of it). A little grappling for two years (undefeated) heavyweight wrestler in school. I do think my mic skills are better then that, but maybe not considering the competition. My wife says you have my sex appeal ALL WRONG, lol.

WOW! I must have bathed in the right spot... I gained 20 years back!! That explains the loss of strength I bet!

Far as doing flips and such... Although I have done a little gymnastics, and have been known to walk on my hands from one side of a building to another, I don't know if that would qualify me as a spot monkey... but boy is that a fun thought or what? (Ok, Imagine a 6'4" 280lb man doing that... then you understand the fun of it!... Although 20 years ago I would have been around 240 lbs, but still)

Just a little FYI. Earth 1 and 2 in the DC Universe (now, you probably know this, and just did your own take, but figure I would share just in case) represent the golden and silver ages of DC. Bassically, it was DC's way for continuity to grow, and explain why people like Batman wasn't old (back in the 70 and 80s). The characters from Earth 2 (golden age) represent the hero's from the 40's to the 60's (or whenever they should have started aging). For example, Jay Garrick WAS the first (meaning ORIGINAL, as was Kal-L the first Superman) Flash in comicbooks. Barry Allen come along much later. This was explained by him reading old Jay Garrick Flash comics (that were made in real life first).

Anyways, I'm going to be playing this for a little while, lol.

So the history is the same for just about everything, but only on one earth. Certain cities that didn't exist in one or the other, now both exist. Batman and Superman didn't of course (except in their current incarnation), however they had certain people "replace" their spot in history. The Gladiator's son (Hugo Danner from the book, The Gladiator-Son is Iron Munro) took Superman's place for example, in the Justice Society (old one). However... Superman II still exists, or existed, because of a "fluke" from the Final Crisis.<p> </p><p> Now they have a huge amount of parrallel universes again, and it's like they never merged (meaning alot of them are the same as old one's from before).</p><p> </p><p> In Marvel they have a newer one as well, the Ultimate Universe. This is sort-of what it seems they are doing the movies off of. More modern versions of what originally happened, etc. So it falls together nicely as well. The only problem is alot of it isn't in there yet, or at least it doesn't seem to be. Their primary one is still Earth 616 though. </p><p> </p><p> Then there are those that seem to be in a different time period. I like the one's that have the "next generation" so to speak. The problem is that it doesn't seem like any of that is going to actually happen from the original perspective earth's, so It's hard to justify putting in a Wild Thing, or Batman Jr., etc.</p><p> </p><p> I just thought I would help with the exploding head thing.<img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Say, has anyone had any issues with getting the pictures to show up? Say, if you've dl'ed the mod and have a chance to peak in the pictures directory you should find a Yuu Onuki.jpg... I'd love to get your opinion on whether or not it visually matches the persona of your dynasty character?</p>
