Plot-

Professor Robert Reed (Eric Bana) is working for NASA trying to work on a way to protect astronauts from heat as part of the first expedition to Mercury. After an accident in the lab that triggers an explosion, Robert Reed is bathed in chemicals and sent to the hospital. Robert’s wife Alice (Elizabeth Banks) is denied access to her husband and turns to a friend of the family, NASA Astronaut Jake Blane (Josh Brolin), for answers. Meanwhile, Robert’s lab assistant Amil is seen meeting with a man dressed in traditional “terrorist” gear (Alfred Molina). Back at NASA, Jake sneaks into the quarantined area and meets with Robert, who despite the explosion, chemical bath, and subsequent fire is completely fine. Jake informs Robert that his wife is worried and not being allowed to visit which enrages Robert to the point where he burst into blue flames. Robert burns his way through the NASA compound and runs off into the night still aflame in blue fire, as Amil watches before pulling out a phone and making a call.

We flash back to the “terrorist” who we discover is Hassen Bin Zobar and the leader of a group called God’s Hands. Hassen gives a speech to his followers how they will soon have the means to punish the non-believers with holy fire from Allah. Back in the U.S. Robert wakes up, completely nude {full butt shot of Bana for the ladies } surrounded by a group of people wearing Area 51 is Real t-shirts. They inform their leader, Jill Jones (Emma Roberts), and she tells Robert how they found him outside after following a mysterious blue light. Robert is giving clothes and he borrows a car from Jill, with the promise to return.

Robert goes home and he finds his house wrecked and Amil sitting at his kitchen table. Amil informs Robert that “they” have his wife and if he wants to see her again he will go to the white house and burn it down in blue fire. Robert burst into flames and threatens to melt Amil if he doesn’t tell him where his wife is. Amil tells Robert about Hassen and God’s Hands. Robert lets out a yell and his flame extends out burning his house down with Amil inside.

As the fire burns we see Robert floating up, to his own amazement. Robert quickly gets his bearings and flies off leaving a trail of blue fire behind. Robert flies into Hassen’s compound and lands to the amazement of the soldiers gathered. The men open fire and Robert flinches, however their bullets melt before they can pierce Robert’s flesh. Robert realizes this and begins to melt people as he makes his way to Hassen’s stronghold. Hassen panics and tosses a grenade at Robert, which explodes and pushes Robert back from the force. Hassen then takes off in a waiting helicopter with Alice in tow. Robert flies after the helicopter and Hassen tosses Alice out of it. Robert flies after Alice and wills his upper body to return to normal and catches his wife. Ribert sets her down then flies after Hassen. As Robert approaches, Hassen fires a heat seeking missile at Robert. Robert flies faster than ever before passes up the chopper which causes the missile to hit it and blow it up. Robert then returns to his wife and gives her a kiss before flying her home.

In the epilogue, Robert returns to Jill and explains to her he isn’t an alien but he is different. Robert then burst into flames and flies off with Jill remarking that she has to blog about the Blue Flame…

I'd like my company to be called "Hollyweird Films"

Title- Life With Diabetes

Lead Actress- Rachel McAdams (75,000)

Supporting Actor-

Supporting Actress-

Director - Zach Braff (???)

Genre- Drama/Tragedy

Plot- The Film starts with Maria (Rachel McAdams) filiming her husband, Stewart (Zach Braff), on their picnic date in a park. Maria is joking with Stewart when he faints. The camera picks up again with Stewart in a hospital bed, explaining that he has just been ironically diagnosed with Type 1, Juvenile Diabetes and apparently suffered a low blood sugar while in the park. Stewart tells the camera that he intends to film himself as he learns about and lives with type 1 Diabetes. As promised Stewart films himself, first learning about diabetes and then living with it. Occasionally Maria adds her insight on how Stewart is doing, often adding encouragement when he begins to doubt himself. The first few months go by fine with Stewart doing everything he's supposed to, testing blood sugar, dosing the correct amount of insulin and everything. Unfortunately one night Stewart experiences another extremely low blood sugar. Stewart confides in the camera that he feels like no matter what he does he will never be able to control the diabetes. Stewart enters a downward spiral into depression and begins to not take care of himself. He over eats, doesn't take his insulin, doesn't exercise. Maria tells the camera how upset she is with Stewart and how worried she is for him. The end of the movie comes when Stewart decides he's tired of fighting with diabetes and films himself eating copious amounts of sweet foods and breads. He leaves the camera on himself as he falls asleep on the couch. Maria returns home from work to find an unconscious Stewart on the couch. She tries to wake him but he won't get up. The camera fades to black. The ending credits reveal that Stewart entered a coma and never awoke. Maria spends every day trying to raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes. She released the film as a warning for all diabetics to never give up.

Location- Hollywood, CA

Duration - 108 minutes

*The role of Stewart was originally thought of with Ben Savage in mind, but I felt Zach Braff would do the role more justice.

*The entire film was done with a hand camera.

*Supporting roles were thought of but ultimately not added because the focus was meant for Zach Braff to shine.

Type 1 diabetes means your body doesn't make any insulin, which is what turns sugar into energy for the body to use and therefore the discovery of diabetes in this story would be completely wrong.

For most type 1's being diagnosed their blood sugar is extremely high. In my case, there was dramatic weight loss due to the body breaking down muscle and fat in order to provide energy for me (which leads to various poisons being in the body as that kind of weight loss is extremely unhealthy) . The body also tries to get rid of the excess sugar in urine, which leads to the sufferer needing to drink and pee constantly, in my case pretty much every hour and a few times during the night. And because the body is basically eating itself in order to stay alive, you lose a lot of weight and develop a breath smell similar to pear drops (sugar and dehydration) while also being tired a lot of the time.

...

Much of the rest of the plot is fair enough, though the ending is a bit extreme though altogether possible but if a diabetic really wanted to end their life the easiest way to do it would be to simply massively OD on insulin rather than binge eating. Given the way most type 1 diabetics find out about their diabetes, binge eating is pretty much a shorter term version of that. I think I was diabetic for anywhere between 3 to 6 months before I found out, and I've always had a sweet tooth. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">

Oh, and the trigger for mine seemed to be adolescence. Not only was I discovering interesting things about girls but then I had to learn all sorts of new and strange things about me too. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">

I am 21 and have had diabetes since I was 6 years old. I found out about my diabetes through severe weight loss combined with consistent dehydration. However I know a person that did find out about theirs through low blood sugar. I myself battled severe depression and struggled to take care of myself for years simply because I wanted to pretend I didn't have it anymore. I had gotten tired of giving myself insulin shots everyday, tired of pricking my finger, tired of counting carbs, tired of seeing a doctor every 6 months. Up until recently I had still not been taking care of myself and had to scare myself into it. Now that I am taking care of myself though I feel more alive and free than I ever have.

In any case I used the low blood sugar to introduce what the movie was about while still using the hand camera. I couldn't figure out a way to introduce diabetes progressively without it being too morbid that they were filming him progressively getting sicker.

Type 2 can be very complicated and play out like that, even when it's close to completely giving up with the pancreas giving everything it's got left before actually giving out completely.

And yeah... I've had phases where my diabetes has been a big negative to me too, though not as bad as you describe. I've read a lot about the various ways to abuse diabetes and even worked some out myself before I found out about them. It isn't an easy life and I'm fully behind any movie supporting it. I've always been lax about my control but in recent months have taken a lot of steps towards improving it. I imagine some scenes highlighting the dangers of diabetics might add to the drama of the movie, particularly people with bad control who lose their sight or extremeties... or even the long term kidney damage that people go through.

The conclusion isn't an easy one to write, but I think this tale would be better if it went the redemption route instead of the tragedy route. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">

Given that actors start at 10,000 and directors at about 50,000 and allowing some money for production/hype... seems if anyone fell below 100,000 that it would be game over for that studio. I think a new studio with a small hit to their first film revenue to take into account the failure would probably be good enough to keep people playing. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">

By this I mean that they can still come in and post their movies, but since they do not have the money to produce the film they negotiate the sale of the film to one of the other studios. Whether that is for straight cash, a % of revenue or a mix of the two.

Or if they have a small amount to invest themselves they can pitch for an investment of $x, and then other studios can negotiate what they want in return (e.g first $x amount of revenue and then a % of the remaining revenue).

This of course allows the user to build up enough capital to start producing on their own again.

I just feel this would make the game more realistic & not just "oops, ran out of money....let's start again".

And of course you could sell of rights to make sequels or whatever as well. Upon his recovery, Jimmy fills Walter in on whats been going on in the town, but Walter refuses to help explaining that in all the years since he was shot, he has never picked up a gun and that he just wants to live out the last of his days in peace.

Rejected, Jimmy returns back to town but its not long before once again its attacked by the Sunshine Gang. They burn down houses and kill many of the towns citizens including its Sheriff. With the help of the remaining townsmen, Jimmy routs the gang. Moira runs into his arms and its at that point that Mickey rides into a clearing and and with a carefully aimed shot, blows a hole in Moira who after some well time emotional words finally dies in his arms.

Jimmy turns up at Walters door still covered in Moira's blood and once more pleads with him to help. Walter reaches under his bed and pulls out his old rifle but his hands are shaking and you can tell his aim is shot. 'What help could i be.. Im just a old man that cant even aim a gun', cries Walter. Walter strips off his shirt and you could see the old bullet scar in his shoulder. 'I need help' Jimmy says, 'and i cant think of anyone better than 'Mad' Walter McIntyre to help me'. Walter reluctantly agrees and they gather up the townsmen for an attack.

The pair begin searching for Mickey and eventually find him just shy of the Mexican border and a massive shootout entails. Having the element of surprise worked in their favor as they clip several of Mickeys gang before getting overwhelmed. Most of the townsmen have either fled or are wounded and Jimmy is caught high on his gun hand. They soon become stuck behind cover.

Walter then shocks Jimmy by shouting for Mickey's attention. Mickey isn't surprised that Walter was still alive, but was that he would try hunt him down. For old times sake, Mickey offers to duel his old friend...

Both men face once each other again... for the last time. Time seems to stand still as they hover over their revolvers. Both men pull at the same time and there is a single shot before the camera fades to black

The camera pans across the desert floor and settle on an old dusty boot, it slowly works its way up the body to see blood oozing out of a chest wound. It pans up more and you see Walters blank eyes.

Mickey walks over to Walters body and fires three more slugs into the chest.

Jimmy stares shellshocked at the proceedings and when he finally comes to his senses begins reloading his revolver. The camera specifically shows that he has 5 bullets left and there are 6 men left. He vaults over his cover and takes careful aim. His shot hits Mickey in the head killing him instantly. 'Amen' he says and rushes towards the remaining gang members with no thought of his own well being as gunfire sounds out and the camera fades to black.

After the credits, the camera pans across Walters old ranch. Here we find a older bearded Jimmy standing in front of the graves of Walter & Moira having somehow managed to survive the shootout. He then goes off and begins tending the crops much like Walter was doing at the beginning of the film.

Genre- Superhero

Plot-

Tyson (Jaden Smith) and Ellie (Chloe Moretz) are franticly running from something. We see them constantly looking over their shoulders as they run but we never get a look at just what they are running from. They round a corner of houses and quickly duck into a nearby backyard. After a few moments Tyson unlatches the gate and steps out to take a look around. Before he can take a second step a hand clamps down on his shoulder and the camera finally turns to see the kid’s pursuers. It’s a truant officer; Tyson and Ellie are headed for the principal’s office where Principal Jansen (Laura Linney) gives them after school work detail, cleaning up the schools soccer and baseball fields as well as the nearby wooded area.

It is in work detail we meet 7 other students who’ve gotten themselves assigned to work detail through one means or another. Michael (Logan Lerman) is a junior who played a prank on his science teacher, Austin (Callan McAuliffe), also a junior, is the schools resident loner who seems to have a year long pass to work detail, and Isaac (Booboo Stewart), a senior, was caught downloading music in the schools library.

Luke (Josh Hutchinson), the school jock, cheerleaders Paige (AnnaSophia Robb) and Shannon (Keke Palmer), and mousy Cary Anne (Medeline Carroll) were all there for the same incident. Specifically, Luke, Paige, and Shannon bullying and ridiculing Carry Anne until she slapped Shannon and started a cat fight during lunch.

While the kids are lazily cleaning up and spending more time talking and making fun of each other, Cary Anne notices something in the sky. It looks like a bright red star, but it keeps getting bigger and bigger. Dumbstruck the kids head for cover at the last minute. The impact is tremendous and the area surrounding the impact point, including the kids, is bathed in a white hot light. A detention monitor hurriedly runs out to check on the kids to find them all laying on the ground unconscious. Later that night, Ellie awakens at a hospital and it’s a miracle. All 9 kids have survived without even minor injuries.

Rounding out the first half of the film the kids discover their powers and form a loose group as they lean on each other for support while they test their limits and capabilities with their newly found gifts. Tyson can control fire, Ellie can fly, Michael is indestructible, and Isaac can render himself invisible. Austin can break the sound barrier he runs so fast. Luke has super strength and Cary Anne can move objects with her mind. Paige can feel and control the emotions of others while Shannon can heal the wounds of other people. The kids keep these gifts a secret until one day there is a large earthquake during lunch. The cafeteria is full of students as the building is rocked to its core. No time to think the kids burst into action Ellie and Austin get kids out of the building as fast as they can, while Cary Anne stops debris from falling on helpless students. In the aftermath Luke rescues students trapped in debris while Paige and Shannon soothe and heal the wounded.

Just like that The Nine are ousted and with that comes the attention of the US Government. As the kids parents, town officials, and Principal Jansen try to get a handle on the situation in come Agent Peters (Zeljko Ivanek) and Agent Daniels (Dean Winters). They’ve put a lockdown on the town and take the kids into custody until they can find out what they are dealing with.

The second half of the film deals with the kids relationships with each other as they cope with their detainment. Luke has emerged as a leader for the group but Cary Anne is still resentful of Luke, Paige, and Shannon and as a result takes on an outsider role. In converse Austin becomes closer to the group. Ellie and Michael’s relationship flourishes as Michael takes on a protective role over her. Seeing this development Tyson withdrawals into himself as he sees his friend drifting away from him and can’t fight his jealousy of Michael.

Agent Peters views the kids as a danger to the US, his only interest is in controlling and testing their abilities and limitations. The kids are pushed beyond their limits and poked and prodded constantly for testing purposes. Principal Jansen and Agent Daniels take protective roles over the kids but Peters influence reaches too far as he’s seeding the idea that the kids are too dangerous to ever be allowed to leave by their own free will. Things come to a head as under Luke’s leadership the kids devise an escape plan. The night comes and the plan is going well, they have made it out of the building and plan to escape into the nearby woods. As they approach the woods, the trees begin to sway their branches violently waving this way and that; suddenly branches, trees, and all manner of debris are built up blocking their way. From behind them bright lights silhouette them against the wall of debris. Agent Peters and a team of soldiers have them surrounded. Before anyone realizes what happened Cary Anne runs to Agent Peters and tells him Luke was behind the whole ordeal.

A standoff occurs, tempers flare before anyone realizes it, shots are fired and all hell breaks loose. During the fight Luke runs at Agent Peters whose back is turned. Luke leaps intending to strike the Agent with a killing blow, but in mid-air he’s stopped, held there by Cary Anne. Agent Peters turns and puts the gun to Luke’s head. Peters has a look in his eye, he intends to end the threat the kids pose right here. He pulls the trigger……but the shot misses, as Ellie flies in knocking Cary Anne and herself to the ground and in doing so releasing Carey Anne’s hold on Luke, who falls to the ground himself as the bullet grazes him. Enraged Agent Peters points the gun at Ellie. But before he can pull the trigger he is engulfed in flame as Tyson comes to his friend’s aid. He turns to help Ellie up when a bullet rips through his right shoulder. He’s down and Ellie looks at the scene around her, her friends and the soldiers are tearing into each other now. Not knowing what to do she she begins to hover 10 feet off the ground, there is something driving her, now in the middle of the battlefield all eyes are turning toward her. She screams “Stop” with a force none had ever seen and in an instant a wave of magnetic energy emanates from her core and mows through everyone in the area. Soldiers and her friends all fall to the ground unconscious, as well as Ellie who crashes back down to earth.

Ellie awakes in a hospital again, this one is different then the local hospital from before though. This is most obviously a government facility. She panics at first but when she sits up in bed she finds her parents as well as Principal Jansen sitting in the room. She learns that after the battle she went into a coma and has been out for 2 months. The facility she learns is to be run by both Agent Daniels and Principal Jansen to help the kids learn how to control their abilities. Later she meets with Michael, Luke, Paige, Shannon, and Austin who are also in the facility. They tell her that Isaac decided he wasn’t coming back to another facility and simply disappeared; it took the facility all day to realize he was actually missing and not just invisible. They also tell her that Mary Anne and Tyson were both taken somewhere else but weren’t being told where or what will become of them.

The movie ends as the 6 enter a classroom and take their seat as Principal Jansen begins the days lesson.

Location- US, Oregon

Just a heads up for any struggling studios (or people wanting a little extra insurance). I'm willing to put up some of my money to help others out. I might not be making many movies myself but I'm willing to be a hedge fund for other people who just need that little bit extra to help them out (or who want less risk involved in their own movies).

All I ask is that I get an equal percentage of any profit/loss on the film relative to the percentage of the film costing I contribute. So if I give 50% of the funding, I want 50% of the profits... or losses. :p

And now to anxiously anticipate the awesome scripts coming my way soon to take advantage of this awesome offer. :D
