I use the all out note a lot. As long as the match is under 14 minutes and the guys don't seem to have terrible stamina.

I use open match in matches where I want both competitors to come across as equals. I don't use this in my main events on PPVs though.

Slow build in matches of 16 minutes or longer. (NEVER USE WITH ALL OUT MATCH) I will use Overbook with this note sometimes.

Domination I use for guys who are going to look better than their opponents. I make sure the lesser guy has high selling and it always helps.

Protect I use on guys who don't sell well and basically have little in ring talent. Goldberg comes to mind.

Lex Luger. I'm giving him the Goldberg push with a looooooong floating TV title reign.

Thanks to better utilizing the road agent notes (thanks fellas), my first episode of Nitro on TBS was a resounding success... my main event of Ricky Steamboat and Kevin Sullivan (great chemistry) for The Dragon's NWA US title ended up getting a 99! Wooh! Go WCW! Screen shot below.

Every match Lex is in you NEED to use the protect note for him to hide how bad he is.

Aww show some love for Lex! He wasn't *that* bad... I find him to be a very underestimated worker. He was far better than most big men in the WWE the last 10 years.

That's why I'm pushing him so hard. It's easy to get someone like Michaels or Hart over... getting over a Goldberg or a Luger... or Meng (another one I plan on pushing) that's an accomplishment.

I think you're my new best friend for that statement.

He doesn't exactly have a main event look either, so I can see why they never pushed him into the main event picture. I loved the Faces of Fear though.

I personally think that Meng could have been a bigger star than he was. But bigger than Goldberg or Luger? Nah...

About him not having the look, however, all I have to say is: Dusty Rhodes. That man is the perfect example that you can be a huge star in wrestling without looking the least bit like an athlete or fighter. How that man got so over, I will never understand. And his finisher, the "Bionic Elbow"? Give me a break... it's so lame it makes Hogan's Big Boot and Atomic Legdrop look like a Sharpshooter in comparison.

So, as I mentioned before I haven't played TEW in YEARS. So, there are a lot of advancement and nuances that I need to learn or have forgotten. With that said I'll be posting my shows as I run them here for feedback, suggestions, etc.

Pre-Show: Tito Santana d. I shouldn't run A shows all the time and especially not booking realistically. I just don't want to run the WWF down within a year, lol.

So yeah, feel free to offer suggestions as I continue to post these or just your general comments on my product.

Okay, okay, okay. Yes, Hogan was mainly a villain until Vince got a hold of him (and I wonder if he would have stayed heel if Mr. Pure Wrestling had still held the title or Vince had forced him to lose to Hogan instead of passing it to Sheik first). However, once Vince got with him, he wouldn't EVER have turned him heel (see him cutting him loose instead of turning him heel how the 90's might have been wildly different). So, his ratings more have a place alongside Flair's PWI Rookie of the Year for being in MACW after being in AWA first.

Yes, the Booking AI in this game is severely limited (see Steamboat being completely left off the WM3 card in my game with Bob Orton headlining against Hogan). Guess that's why it only got 15,000+. However, that would prevent the AI from doing something so egregiously off. That's all I'm saying.

Also, my actual 2nd point was going to be about the lack of Hotbed locations in the Southeast and Tri-State. That's cool just thought about pointing it out. Haven't been anywhere else. It isn't a huge deal for me because I build my own arena for 2 reasons. 1) It's a must-do for Cult feds because it saves a ton of money over the long-haul. 2) You avoid the area burnout penalty (for running too many shows in one area in a month). As an added bonus you build up your guys in dark matches like they're on the regular show (just not every other region).

I think the big mistake you're making is how you're looking at this mod. It's a scenario not a recreation. My past mods I went overboard IMO on ensuring things ran the way they did in the history books. It makes for a very limited mod and one I wasn't happy with. There needs to be room for even major differences in a historical mod IMO, it makes for a funner game and experience and is actually more accurate to reality.

The reality is Hogan could play a heel role very well in '87, his performance stats reflect that.

I'm happy to add a few more hotbed locations but guys for the 78,0000th time please let me know what you want changed or added. I'm going to start ignoring feedback like "Can you add some more gimmicks" or "Some workers popularity seem a little low", if you're going to be vague I can't be bothered following up with questions to unearth what people mean. Hope you guys understand :)

Something that I keep forgetting to look at but was wondering (don't have the game in front of me right now), how did you handle Potential in this? Have you tried to guide certain people along successful (or otherwise) paths or just left it to the whim of each game?

Some I have yes, if you're curious about why a certain worker is set to something let me know and I'm happy to explain.

Since this was brought up.... I have a small question. It is a question though, as I'm not sure about exactly what the stat would do with everything, but I will share what I believe (and my potential issue).

Certain workers were VERY popular in 1987, but.... not quite the megastar they become later. Flair and Hogan for example..... Both mega popular, and probably impossible to become more popular then Hulk was at this time period. However, they were not yet considered "Legends" or "Icons", etc. They are now however.

The way I understand the game engine, is at a certain point/age, and other random elements, a worker will seize to get better in Physical area's, and certain abilities. However, there is a possibility they can still get better with mental stats (Charisma, mic skills, etc).

Setting potential low, and very low on individuals... Won't that bassically top them out where they are in everything, and the only way is downhill from there. I'd much prefer that be set to random, then to limit them, especially when within 10 to 12 years later both (Flair and Hogan) reach new heights in character development, not to mention becoming living legends in the ring.
