Is there anyone who could put this in a zip file for me? I have had stuff that could open rar files in the past but it seems I always get a virus on my computer when I use them. If anyone could do this for me I would be greatly appreciated as I would love to check this out.

<p>Finally got around to checking this out, gotta say it looks pretty awesome. Currently having a hard time choosing between USPW, SCCW, and UCR... think I'll go with UCR, as it'll motivate me to not book Bigger Dan Ewe and Doctor Insane for my own personal funs. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Still, SCCW and USPW are both tempting.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Oh, and absolutely thrilled to see Bam Bam Johansson mentioned as "The Alpha Norwegian". That now means, across the three historical C-Verse mods, Bam Bam is twice mentioned as "The Alpha Norwegian" (in 97 and 2001), and in the 70s his dad "The Bullshark" Aleph Johansson is set to debut. My thanks to the modmakers for keeping the dream of copious amounts of flexing and bullshark testosterone abuse alive and well. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Fun mod, been messing with it a lot recently... but a few things regarding SCCW:

1. Jack Griffith and Jesse Christian are the tag champs, but of different alignments. I don't think SCCW is a, ahem... subtle... enough company for that sorta thing.

2. Both mentioned tag champs are main eventers, and the tag belts are by default midcard. Maybe making the belt "floating" is the best way to solve that, since at least Christian legitimately should be a Main Eventer at this point in SCCW's history.

3. Meanwhile, The Gambler is an Upper Midcarder by default and holds the main event title.

4. Herb Staley isn't in the company, but should be. His notable success comes from leading the Tennessee Outlaws to their gold.

I think the Christian/Griffith thing was a storyline SCCW had going. Kinda like the Matt Hardy vs. MVP situation, where they were forced to team together. I don't think changing the belts to floating is nessecary.

Jack Griffith, Jesse Christian, and The Gambler were all the canon champions at that point. The heel/face thing with Griffith and Christian was likely an oversite, but "Oh my Gawd, these two rivals just won the tag titles!" is not an uncommon storyline in wrestling, so that's covers it up nicely haha.

Thanks a lot. Only just noticed this. Hopefully this will be kept updated and reworked. :)

edit: some little oddities I discovered

- Dog Fyte's power is 59 - standard in all db's apparently - which is around the same level as April Appleseed. Not realistic for who is supposed to be a "super muscular guy". I changed it to 74.

- Canadian Cat (Owen Love) is supposed to have a mask, but is not set to be the right alter ego. The player must do that himself.

- Sandy Townsley and J-Ro, among others, are set to have business reputation, yet are total noobs in the wrestling circuit. Watch them take over promotions and saying goodbye to wrestling (probably) for the rest of the game. I advice players to change it in-game.

A little bump :)

Though I like the fact that this mod was made, it's still very much incomplete. The oddities mentioned in my previous post are no real gamebreakers, but surprisingly little work has been done to the stats. Some have been lowered, but others are exactly the same as 9 years later. Why some workers have even better stats as a debutant then their 9 year older counterparts baffles me.

So far my playthrough has been fun, at least. Too bad 'the Force' never got signed. 2 years into the game, he's still unemployed with only 2 NYCW matches under his belt. I know the player is supposed to hire him, but you can't always do that. :p

If someone could go through all the stats that would be great. If someone's interested i'll make a full list of little neat changes I made to make the whole better. Too bad if this version would go untouched as it's just such a fun period to play, so kudos for making it.

I would like to point out that If you go through all seven official versions of the Cverse, that for a lot of wrestlers, the stats didn't really change too much and I think it is up to the modder to try to determine which changes were worker upgrades/downgrades due to experience and aging, and which ones were reimages of Canon by Adam. I am working on a CVerse Mod right now (I'm not announcing anything officially until I am far enough along to know that I will finish it) and I am running in to these same questions. If you look at alot of the non-wrestlers, almost none of their stats have changed in five and a half years of official canon. I have been trying to base changes off of Biographys. If the bio doesn't mention changes, then I don't make too many, but if the change is obvious (Eric Eisen), then I will make the changes that are needed.

This is of course, my own opinion as a lot of the Cverse is up for interpretation.

Yes of course. But it just feels weird that Sean McFly will eventually turn out to be mediocre instead of the wrestling god that he should become because his stats were freakishly lowered. He'll eventually be upstaged by random workers that are unheard from in the 2007 version of the C-verse.

Obviously it's open to interpretation as it would be kinda pointless to attempt to recreate 'official' happenings in the C-verse apart from the setting of worker chemistry, which is to be decided at the user's discretion imo.

But when A-players don't turn out to be the great wrestlers they should be, I think it's a little off. No point nagging for it as you can obviously change them yourself. His potential could be set to 'great'. Kunomasu has the same problem.

And yes, 1997 was very generous with the stats. You can only change so much as a modder, though. I think the skill training system needs to be overhauled in TEW. In WMMA it's better as workers could grow tremendously throughout the game. In my experience this will never happen in TEW. Due to the limited changes in point grades, you'll never see a D-worker evolve into an A-worker. It's just impossible, yet if you look at real world data, it very much is. You know some workers in 2001 were lesser version of themselves, but they'll never change to their 2008 version because of limitations in growth, though perhaps the potential skill, when set to 'very high' can overturn that.

However, it is one of those things that is really tough for The Celt to do. It is almost a damned if you do, damned if you don't type of deal.</p><p> </p><p> If he would have set potential skills people would complain to him for doing that as many players consider that a cheap thing to do. However, like you said the workers will never turn out how they were meant to turn out.</p><p> </p><p> When TEW10 first came out I started working on a C-Verse 1991 mod. Why 1991? Well there was supposed to be an 80's mod coming out and Derek had already done a 90's mod so I decided to make a mod in the middle of the two of them. </p><p> </p><p> Anyway, my problem was what to do with the stats. I am not that great with stats and balancing the game so the stats work right within the confines of the game. I mostly like to re-write bios and leave the stats to someone else. However, not having a stat person working with me, I had no clue what to do. Therefore, I just ended up giving up on the mod because I just did not think I could do it.</p>

I have a lot of xp with stats in 'manager-style' game mods, and I know it's very hard to accurately make real world mods. This is a fictional universe and can of course be 'played' with. Still, for players familiar with it, it hurts to see some favourite workers being 'held back' by the stats. But I kinda 'solved' it by manually adjusting them over time. It's more work for me, but at least it's fun. :p

I've got over a hundred and fifty wrestlers without pictures? Are these ones I should pick up from the 97 mod or is the picture files corrupted? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
