Ring of Honor

Week 3, July 2012

Singles Match

Kevin Steen vs Petey Williams

In the opening contest, Kevin Steen takes on Petey Williams, both fresh from unsuccessful attempts to capture championship gold at Best in the World. Kevin Steen took the loss worse than Williams however and the rest of The Programme will be wondering if he can keep his cool?

Singles Match

Shane Hollister vs "Rockstar" Spud

Fresh from winning the contract match at Best in the World, "Rockstar" Spud will make his debut on ROH TV, but will not get the win easily as he takes on Shane Hollister, whose stock continues to grow week by week.

Tag Team Match

Kenny King & Carlito Colon vs Lance & Harlem Bravado

This week Kenny King announced that he would only be trying out 4 opponents, before making the decision about who he will partner for the long-term. The penultimate partner is another former WWE star in Carlito Colon, who joins King to take on The Bravado Brothers

Singles Match

Arik Cannon vs El Generico

Arik Cannon is somewhat an untested talent on ROH TV, with the size and ability to really go far in ROH competition. With most of the roster given time to recouperate after Best in the World, Cannon gets the chance to step up against El Generico. Generico is himself looking to get back momentum, having fallen down the rankings since losing the ROH Television Championship

Tag Team Match

Paul London & Colt Cabana vs Roderick Strong & Rhett Titus

Titus & Strong came so close to competing for the ROH Tag Titles at Best in the World, but fell short in the number 1 contenders match to Steen & Jacobs. Can they get back to winning ways against two excellent tag team wrestlers, teaming together for the first time

Single Match

Non-Title

Mike Bennett vs Steve Corino

ROH Television Champion Mike Bennett looks to renew a rivalry over a year old when he steps into the ring with Steve Corino. Bennett comes into the match on the back of a successful defence of the TV title, whereas Corino fell just short of capturing championship gold.

Quick Picks

Kevin Steen vs Petey Williams

Shane Hollister vs "Rockstar" Spud

Kenny King & Carlito Colon vs Lance & Harlem Bravado

Arik Cannon vs El Generico

Colt Cabana & Paul London vs Roderick Strong & Rhett Titus

Shane Hollister vs "Rockstar" Spud

Aside from seeing them in here, I have no clue as to who either of these guys are.

Spud is a small British worker (like 5 foot 3, or so) who is a high flier, that should have some pretty good matches with the likes of The Young Bucks, Shiima Xion, Paul London. He has go NO overness in the US however, so it will be a LONG time before he gets to that level.

As for Shane Hollister, I can't say I have ever seen him wrestle, but he has good stats and seems to be putting on good matches against workers in the midcard upwards. He can't really put on a good match where he is the bigger star, that I can see.

Both are future stars, even if only in this diary.
