I'm trying to work from memory here, as my computer with the info is at home due to excess paid work needing to be done instead of League writing.

Couple of 20+ min matches on the card, a couple sub-10 min matches, and a match that, as far as I can remember in almost five full seasons, ends with a move that I'd yet to see end a League match.

Only a few hours left to get your picks in if you haven't done so already.

Also, will be posting a question re: picks for the final season in the discussion thread shortly.

THE LEAGUE: SEASON FIVE, WEEK EIGHTEEN

It took five seasons and nearly two years, but finally eastern Europe's wait has paid off, as The League closes out its fifth regular season in the capital of the former Soviet Union! Surprisingly, before the cameras started rolling, there was a rather noticeable "Drago" chant inside the arena. Pundits are still trying to sort that one out. In any event, after a requisite pyro show and panning of the audience, we go to ringside and our two-person commentary crew!

Bob Sinclair: Welcome, everyone, to what promises to be one of the more tension0filled weeks in League history! Bob Sinclair at ringside with Tori Montgomery; Frankie Garnett is still being held under tight guard by Thor Hammerskald. Tonight, we'll determine the final open playoff spot, and figure out just who will be challenging Johnny Triumph for the League Championship next week!

Tori Montgomery: You already know where my loyalty lies in that division title hunt, Bob; time will tell whether that loyalty is well-placed or not!

Bob Sinclair: In any event, folks, tonight we're going to start with the matches that have little consequence on the playoffs, and proceed up to our main event, which is for the Alpha Division title. There's not a lot of time to waste, so let's head to Amelia Williams to get us started this evening!

OMEGA DIVISION: Ian Carlisle (5-12, 16%) vs. Tarik Nolan (6-11, 15%)

Linkin Park's "What I've Done" blares through the arena as one of the League's youngest members steps into the arena. A moment later, he sprints towards the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope and heading to a corner to appeal to the fans.

Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, our opening contest is an Omega Division bout scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Blackpool, England, weighing 222 pounds...Ian Carlisle!

Bob Sinclair: After struggling for most of the season, you have to wonder whether Carlisle will be ready for next season when it starts in a couple of weeks, Tori.

Tori Montgomery: He's tough, and he's proven himself able to upset anyone on a given night, Bob. If he doesn't break out next season I'll be surprised.

"Regulate" hits the speakers, immediately drawing the ire of the crowd as a large figure stands in the entryway, backlit by a clear spotlight. Pyro explodes on the stage, causing the light to shut off as the figure finally emerges onto the stage proper. Laughing at the boos hurled in his direction, he takes his time walking to the ring and subsequently entering it for his next match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Shreveport, Louisiana, weighing 292 pounds...Tarik Nolan!

Bob Sinclair: It has not been a good season for Tarik Nolan.

Tori Montgomery: That's putting it lightly, Bob. Nolan has struggled mightily, finding himself near the end of his worst season since joining the League. A win tonight will be for nothing but pride, and maybe to assure himself that he may be able to compete next season.

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of thirty minutes and fifty seconds...Ian Carlisle!

Bob Sinclair: I think that's the first time since Rip Chord that I've seen a DDT finish a match!

Tori Montgomery: Carlisle certainly didn't have the fluid execution of that move, but it was effective enough that it nets Carlisle his sixth and final win of the season!

ALPHA DIVISION CAGE MATCH: Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (7-10, 20%) vs. Scott Stevens (5-12, 18%)

The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "I am the Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as a mash-up of "I Stand Alone" and "Amazing" hits the speakers, drawing out the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling champion, complete with belt around the waist. Walking down the aisle, he talks trash the entire way while pointing at the LPW title should be around his waist. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs to the top of the cage and stares down the aisleway, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions before he climbs back down to the mat.

Amelia Williams: This following contest is a steel cage match in the Alpha Division! Introducing first, from Houston, Texas, weighing 256 pounds...The Master of Disaster, The King of Sting, The Venomous One and Only, and the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion... he is "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!

Tori Montgomery: Is it too much to ask for that his entrance be, I dunno, a bit shorter next season?

Bob Sinclair: Why?

Tori Montgomery: Because we lose viewers in droves whenever his music hits, and we can't get them back for a good four minutes!

Bob Sinclair: ....

Disturbed's "Indestructible" hits the arena as one of last season's rookies emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease despite the hard beat of the song. Quickly climbing the steps into the cage, he steps between the ropes and calmly waits for the bell to get the match underway.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Island of Tria, weighing 205 pounds...Eidenhoek Gaiaspade!

Bob Sinclair: Gaius was in the hunt for a playoff spot up until last week, and undoubtedly looks to make Stevens suffer this week.

Tori Montgomery: He needs to go for the ego of Stevens. Stevens can't take a bruising of it, after all.

He is almost there!

He hits the floor!

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of seven minutes and forty seconds...Scott Stevens!

Bob Sinclair: And Stevens finally breaks out of the slump he had been in with an impressive win!

Tori Montgomery: Now, if he can only follow it up next season...a tall order for him, that is, given his lackluster record in League competition and the fact that he can't even hold on to his title belt.

OMEGA DIVISION: Dante Lorenzo (5-12, 18%) vs. Sean (8-9, 15%)

Three Days Grace's "Riot" hits the speakers to a chorus of jeers as the first Italian-born member of The League emerges from the back, ignoring the crowd in the arena as he mentally prepares for his upcoming match. Reaching the ring, he climbs up the steps and enters between the ropes, his face never losing a look of confident indifference.

Amelia Williams: This Omega Division bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Florence, Italy, weighing 291 pounds...Dante Lorenzo!

Bob Sinclair: The sophomore jinx really got hold of Lorenzo this season, who at this point has to be anxiously looking forward to starting fresh.

Tori Montgomery: It's quite the fall from grace, going from a division title to such a dismal outing this season.

Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart" hits the arena speakers as a spotlight shines down on the top of the ramp. Emerging from the back, the former League Champion walks out as he throws a hand into the air, causing pyro to erupt from behind him in a manner of paparazzi photographing him. With a smirk, the former champ heads to the ring, the spotlight remaining on him the whole time.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, now residing in Los Angeles, California, weighing 230 pounds..."Hollywood" Sean!

Bob Sinclair: For the first time since The League's inception, Sean will not be part of the postseason activities.

Tori Montgomery: It had to happen eventually, Bob, which now puts doubt on the infamous "always bet on Sean" credo that Frankie lives by.

3!

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of seven minutes and ten seconds...Sean!

Bob Sinclair: Sean keeps from having a losing record, though it still has to smart not being able to make the playoffs after so many times of doing just that.

Tori Montgomery: Something tells me that should he return—he's neither confirmed nor denied it—he will be more focused on his matches and less with pandering to the fans, Bob.

OMEGA DIVISION: Robbie Maynard (11-6, 15%) vs. Johnny Triumph (14-3, 15%)

The opening riffs of Metallica's "Master of Puppets" hits the speakers, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd as last season's champion emerges from the stage, bathed in a blue light shining beneath him. After pausing to mentally prepare himself, he walks to the ring, belt slung over his right shoulder and his eyes never leaving the squared circle as he climbs onto the apron and ducks between the ropes.

Amelia Williams: This Omega Division contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Liverpool, England, weighing 251 pounds, he is the reigning and defending League Champion...Robbie Maynard!

Bob Sinclair: Maynard will not be able to defend his title this season, though he has made the consolation tournament with his efforts this season.

Tori Montgomery: By most measures, Maynard's season has been a success, but you know he has to be a bit disappointed at what could have been.

A remixed version of "Ecstasy of Gold" hits the speakers, which is nearly drowned out in jeers as he emerges from the entryway. Instead of taking the steps closest to him, he walks around to the opposite side of the ring, drawing in more jeers as he finally climbs the steps and enters the ring.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Des Moines, Iowa, weighing 228 pounds, he is this season's Omega Division champion...Johnny Triumph!

Bob Sinclair: This is just a formality for Triumph, who locked up the Omega Division title long before now, and you can be assured he will be watching the main event closely.

Tori Montgomery: He shouldn't take Maynard lightly, though. This is one I've been wanting to see again this season!

OMEGA DIVISION FIRST BLOOD MATCH: Rannulf von Krüshengberg (8-9, 15%) vs. Master Imoka (10-7, 24%)

The opening to Rammstein's "Mein Teil" hits the speakers as the largest member of The League emerges, causing everyone with something that could even remotely be considered food to get away from the entranceway as quickly as possible for fear of losing their food...and at least a body part or two.

Amelia Williams: The following Omega Division contest is a first blood match! Introducing first, from der Schwarzwald, Deutschland, weighing 421 pounds..."Der Panzer" Rannulf von Krüshengberg!

Bob Sinclair: While still not a banner season for the German native, it's been a marked improvement and could end the season with an even record.

Tori Montgomery: If he keeps that level of improvement, and if he returns next season, he may be a dark horse to contend for the title, Bob.

"You're the Best" blasts from the arena speakers as The League's lone Samoan emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka!

Bob Sinclair: Imoka looks to make his mark in the playoffs this season, Tori, and given his track record this season he may be one to watch out for.

Tori Montgomery: I see him making a deep run in the tournament, Bob. To everyone else in the tournament, I'd watch out for this guy!

ALPHA DIVISION: Nuclear Templeton (10-7, 6%) vs. Pizza Mask III (8-9, 17%)

The theme to Samurai Pizza Cats plays as a van painted red with the words "Pizza Wagon" on the side comes down to ringside. Emerging from the van, the former backyard wrestler is seen in his trademark Pizza Hut uniform and new tights that are plain black in color. The fans nearby seem a bit disappointed that there is no pizza delivery this week as PM3 rolls into the ring, his gaze seemingly unfocused as he stares across the ring.

Amelia Williams: This is an Alpha Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Your Friendly Neighborhood Pizzeria, weighing 199 pounds...Pizza Mask III!

Bob Sinclair: If there was ever a sign that PM3 is undergoing some sort of mental change, Tori, I think the plainer outfit and lack of mask would do it.

Tori Montgomery: I'll admit it, Bob...this is starting to worry me. Surely he can't be that close to the edge of a mental meltdown, can he?

Billy Idol's "Shock to the System" hits the speakers, bringing the crowd to their feet in ovation as one of the League's more recognizable faces emerges from backstage and across the green-tinted stage. As he hits the end of the entrance ramp, he throws his arms into the air, sending a pair of mushroom clouds into the air from the stage as he makes his way to the ring and through the ropes.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Atlantic City, New Jersey, weighing 278 pounds, he is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions...Nuclear Templeton!

Bob Sinclair: With the changes already set in place for next season's TTT event, what are the odds that Nuclear walks out as half of the champs again?

Tori Montgomery: Given that his primary success was when he teamed with Phoenix this season, Bob, I have to say that I'm not sold on those chances. But we'll see when the time comes.

Bob Sinclair: The pressure is really on Thor now, Tori!

Tori Montgomery: You're not kidding, Bob. Thor now needs to beat Phoenix if he wants to reach the playoffs, and with Phoenix aiming for the Alpha Division title, those are going to be some really tall odds to overcome!

ALPHA DIVISION: Sebastian Moore (7-10, 15%) vs. Diamond (11-6, 15%)

It is to Muse's "Assassin" that he emerges, an arrogant smirk crossing his face as he soaks in the jeers of the crowd. Looking up at the spotlight for a moment, his smirk seems to get even bigger as he walks down the ramp, ignoring the catcalls of the crowd as he ascends the steps, wipes his feet on the apron, and steps through the ropes, looking more at ease than the casual fan may think.

Amelia Williams: This Alpha Division contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Manchester, England, weighing 237 pounds...Sebastian Moore!

Bob Sinclair: While not to the standard of his debut season back in Season Two, Moore nonetheless made strides from his last League appearance, and looks to play the spoiler tonight.

Tori Montgomery: Moore's enough of a threat that he cannot be taken lightly, Bob, and I'm sure that his opponent knows this.

"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds...Diamond!

Tori Montgomery: Diamond needs a win to keep herself in the hunt for the Alpha Division title, Bob. A loss and she's relegated to the tournament!

Bob Sinclair: She's overcome these types of odds before to win her lone division title, Tori. Let's see if she can do it again!

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of six minutes and fifty seconds...Diamond!

Bob Sinclair: Diamond's done her part; now all she can do is sit and watch!

Tori Montgomery: She still needs Skabb and Phoenix both to lose tonight if she wants a shot at the League Championship, and half of that equation will be solved next as Skabb looks to overtake Diamond in the standings!

ALPHA DIVISION: Maxx Skabb (11-6, 6%) vs. Jack Lightning (6-11, 8%)

Metallica's "Ride the Lightning" hits the speakers as the first Canadian to enter The League emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease as he steps onto the ring apron and leaps over the top rope. Climbing onto the turnbuckles, he raises an arm in the air and drinks in the cheers of the crowd before dropping back to the mat and preparing for his match.

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall in the Alpha Division! Introducing first, from London, Ontario, weighing 233 pounds...Jack Lightning!

Bob Sinclair: And now it's Lightning's turn to try to play the spoiler.

Tori Montgomery: Right now, you can bet that Diamond has become one of his more ardent supporters, at least for this match.

Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" blares throughout the arena as spotlights begin to pan over the audience, as if looking for someone. A dim red light shines on the entryway, revealing a hulking figure making his way to ringside, with two more men hiding just at the fringes of the spotlight, their eyes never leaving the form of the big man. As the refrain hits, the spotlights immediately focus on him as white strobe lights flash on the entrance stage. He slides under the bottom rope, his orange jumpsuit a stark contrast to most of the clothing in the audience as the song fades into silence.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Orange County Correctional Facility, weighing 289 pounds...Maxx Skabb!

Bob Sinclair: I hear from sources high in the organization that Skabb is still under scrutiny, Tori. Is that true?

OMEGA DIVISION CAGE MATCH: Super Century (9-8, 15%) vs. Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (9-8, 4%)

"Here Comes the Money" hits the speakers, as one of last season's rookies emerges from the back, with a beautiful woman hanging off his left arm. He pays no attention to the jeering fans, his attitude simply screaming "I'm better than you."

Amelia Williams: This is our second steel cage match of the evening, and will determine the fourth-place finisher in the Omega Division! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Missy Callistra, from Providence, Rhode Island, weighing 224 pounds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!

Tori Montgomery: These next two matches will have an effect on the tournament and the championship match, Bob. Things are starting to get interesting!

Without warning, all of the lights go off in the arena, casting everything into pitch blackness. A few seconds pass before a spotlight shines on one of the turnbuckles, revealing no one there. This is repeated with all four corners, each revealing no one there. Finally, one last spotlight shines down onto the middle of the ring, which reveals the caped form of The League's resident superhero, who stands with arms folded and staring intently into the audience.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Halls of Justice, weighing 205 pounds...Super Century!

Bob Sinclair: ...how does he do that with the cage surrounding the ring?

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of nineteen minutes and forty seconds...Super Century!

Bob Sinclair: With that, it will be Century against Diamond in the opening round of the tournament, and Stanton will have to face either Skabb or Phoenix—not a pleasant prospect by any means.

Tori Montgomery: We're about to find out that opponent right now, Bob. Our main event is next!

ALPHA DIVISION: The Phoenix (12-5, 6%) vs. Thor Hammerskald (8-9, 10%)

The bell sounds three times, calling attention to the center of the ring.

Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, this is our main event of the evening, scheduled for one fall, and it will determine the Alpha Division championship!

Amon Amarth's "Death in Fire" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Behind him, his manager/League color commentator can be seen looking sick to his stomach as he drags a title belt behind him while the Viking enters the confines of the squared circle.

Amelia Williams: Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Legacy Pro Wrestling Heavyweight champion Frankie Garnett, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds...Thor Hammerskald!

Bob Sinclair: A win gives Thor the final spot in the tournament; a loss would give the spot to Pizza Mask who won earlier on.

Tori Montgomery: If you'll excuse me, Bob, my client awaits....

Within Temptation's "Stand My Ground" hits the arena speakers as a League Original emerges from the back, through a wall of flame pyro. His face gives no emotions away as he walks to the ring, shadowboxing as he stops at the ring steps. A moment later, he slams both fists into the top step before looking up the heavens with a cry of "For the Fallen" coming from his lips. With no further ado, he steps between the ropes, ready to go to war once again. At ringside, Tori drops her headset to the table and walks towards his corner, taking the spot his estranged wife should be manning as he nods in recognition to her.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, joined at ringside by Tori Montgomery, from the End of Nowhere, weighing 337 pounds, he is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions and the current Alpha Division leader...this is The Phoenix!

Bob Sinclair: This is what it comes down to, folks. A Phoenix win means he is the division champ, and Pizza Mask III is in the playoffs. A loss, and Maxx Skabb wins the division with Thor Hammerskald sneaking into the last playoff spot. Both men know what's at stake, and there is the bell to get us underway!

The referee's hand starts coming down...

3!

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of three minutes and fifty seconds, and this season's Alpha Division champion...The Phoenix!

Bob Sinclair: Phoenix wastes no time tonight, taking some of Thor's hardest shots before pulling out the win and the division title! It'll be Phoenix and Triumph for the League Championship next week! Folks, we're out of time, we'll see you next week for the final show of the season!

SEMIFINAL 2: Imoka vs. PMIII

TOURNAMENT CONSOLATION: Diamond vs. Imoka

TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP: Skabb vs. PMIII

Overall Championship:Phoenix v Triumph

@PizzaMaskIII- First I want to address what I've been told @ToniMontgomery said before my match. I am not having a mental breakdown. I instead have had a moment of clarity.

@PizzaMaskIII- During our time in England, I visited the ruins Stonehenge.

@PizzaMaskIII- I did not enter the hallowed grounds, but in viewing the scenery at night, I looked up into the stars, the stars shining with clarity, untainted by urban lights.

@PizzaMaskIII- But directly above the ruins, no stars shone. Instead was a storm cloud, but due to the hour, it looked like a void of blackness surrounded by a rim of light.

@PizzaMaskIII- And in the words of Nietchze, when I stared into this abyss, it stared back at me.

@PizzaMaskIII- People see me as nothing more than a joke. There is nothing wrong with merriment, but I am a legitamite athlete, and I am destined to leave this League as a champion.

@PizzaMaskIII- The Viking's minion mocked me, and I broke his jaw. The Clown mocked me, and ended his season in the very bottom of my division. The Bird saw me as a joke, but I have destroyed his tag partner in dominant fashion.

@PizzaMaskIII- Deep down, I think the rest of you believe me to be nothing but a joke either, even as I enter the playoffs. Even you, @ToriMontgomery. You saw me as a joke, even as you saw me die in the ring.

@PizzaMaskIII- But I am not angry anymore. I am past anger. Next season is about conquest. When I win Season III*2, when I become League champion, I will have proven myself.

@PizzaMaskIII- And if there is a Season beyond III*2, unless a #CosmicAnomaly strays me from my destiny, I will return to my old self.

@PizzaMaskIII- Until I do acheive conquest, the skin must be shed so the body can grow. This is the way of the snakes, the way of the mollusk.

@PizzaMaskIII- All things will end in III. #RuleOfIII

@PizzaMaskIII- PS I regret being unable to give out a pizza this week. Oven shorted out. Will be corrected next week.

@Survive_The_Sting! Finally off the snide with my dominating win inside the steel cage.

@Survive_The_Sting! Well my season didn't go as planned, but I will be at the arena next week and if something happens it happens. Chaos follows me everywhere I go.

@Survive_The_Sting! And to that joke of a wrestler @PizzaMaskIII I may have finished last in the standings but even with your new found clarity you still can't beat me. That's right. The so called clown owns your pride, spirit, but more importantly....your soul.

Nuclear may have choked pretty badly in the tailend of this season, but I still think he's got what it takes to succeed in the long run. Might be able to steal a victory in the predictions contest again though. Just need to get a good few wins in the predictions and Nuclear is gonna do the hard work for me this time. :)

@Survive_The_Sting! @PizzaMaskIII Don't get your panties in a wad because all the preparing from Sun Tzu still can't earn you a victory over the World Champion known as The Scorpion.

@Survive_The_Sting! @PizzaMaskIII I'll be front row watching all matches. So don't provoke The Venomous One or you will feel the sting. Just saying.

Twits:

@PizzaMaskIII- Just arrived on site today, warming up for the big show.

@PizzaMaskIII- I know people don't want to me stop being Pizza Mask. And that some of you are fond of it. I'm fond of it too.

@PizzaMaskIII- You're going to see Pizza Mask one more time, until I am a champion.

@PizzaMaskIII- I deserve you all a public explanation, and I will give it to you after the tournament, and to explain what the third death is. I will do this on YouTube, but not on my account. It'll be on my friend's: WandaFishsFutureHubby82.

@PizzaMaskIII- There's a reason for that too, but you'll have to wait until the video comes out.

@PizzaMaskIII- Until I become champion, just remember: Fighting the Dark Salad Demon is #SeriousBusiness

A brief note: I will be shuffling around the match order for presentation purposes to fit some of the side stories going on behind the scenes, as well as adding a few things that you normally wouldn't see in the game itself. This embellishment in no way affects the match results or the tournament brackets, and is designed to enhance storylines or to set up things for season six.

When the show gets posted, you'll see what I mean.

Last chance to get predictions up, as well. Once the first part is posted, deadline is in effect and no further predictions will be accepted.

</strong><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">THE LEAGUE PRESENTS THE SEASON FIVE PLAYOFFS, OPENING ROUND</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The surreal setting of The League's patented Virtual Arena is what greets the camera and the close to twenty-five thousand people attending the event live. Due to the electronic feeds, there is no pyro that goes off to start the show, though it would be highly doubtful that one could hear it anyway over all of the vuvuzelas being sounded in the audience. As the crowd starts to settle down, we cut to ringside and our three-person commentary crew.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> Hello, everyone, and welcome to the first night of the Season Five playoffs! I'm Bob Sinclair, joined at ringside by Tori Montgomery and the LPW Heavyweight Champion—</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> Don't call me that!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> --Frankie Garnett. Tonight is the opening round of the postseason tournament, and we have four matches lines up that will present new matchups for this season, Tori.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> That's right, Bob. For only the second time all season if one counts Tag Team Turmoil, members from the Alpha Division will compete against Omega Division opponents in an attempt to advance in the tournament. Of course, all of this is just preliminary to the main event tomorrow night, but there is lots of action to be had before then!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> I'll be right back, guys.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> Frankie, get back here!</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Frankie pays no heed to Tori's words, as he darts out from behind the commentary desk and heads to one side of the ringside area, where League member "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens is sitting. Getting to within a few feet of Stevens, Frankie hurriedly pitches a black bag toward Stevens, who nonchalantly nabs it out of the air. The color commentator makes a beeline for the announce table, as Stevens opens up the bag and grins sinisterly without providing the cameras a look at what was in the bag.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> The heck was that all about?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> I think I know, Bob. Thor didn't make the trip to South Africa this week, citing a family emergency. I think Frankie just returned Stevens' property to him.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> <em>(panting)</em> Whew...glad that's over...and done with...</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>QUARTERFINAL BRACKET #4: Master Imoka (11-7, 27%) vs. Pizza Mask III (9-9, 29%)</em></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>The theme to Samurai Pizza Cats plays as a van painted red with the words "Pizza Wagon" on the side comes down to ringside. Emerging from the van, the former backyard wrestler is seen in his trademark Pizza Hut uniform and new tights that resemble a cheese pizza on the left side, and a shot of PM3 bashing the Noid in the face with a chair. Reaching into the van to pull out a Pain Pizza, he hands it off to one lucky fan at ringside. Before he gets to the ring, though, he ducks back into the van, pulling out a second pizza and walking around the ringside area. A smile can be seen on PM3's face as he stops in front of Scott Stevens and drops the closed pizza box in his lap, calling it a "Loser's Special" to the delight of the crowd before rolling into the ring and preparing for his playoff debut.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Amelia Williams:</span></strong> Ladies and gentlemen, our opening contest of the evening is a quarterfinal match in the postseason tournament, scheduled for two out of three falls! Introducing first, from Your Friendly Neighborhood Pizzeria, weighing 199 pounds...Pizza Mask III!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> PM3 didn't get his spot until the final match of the regular season, where a Thor loss to the eventual Alpha Division champion paved the way for Pizza Mask to sneak into the playoffs.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> Thor was robbed, I tell you! He didn't even have time to prepare; that fat moron Phoenix jumped him before the bell even rang!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> Now you're making stuff up, Frankie. I was there, remember? Just because you're a sore loser and all....</p><p> </p><p>

<em>"You're the Best" blasts from the arena speakers as The League's lone Samoan emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Amelia Williams:</span></strong> His opponent, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> Imoka was the runner-up in the Omega Division this season, finishing four matches out of the lead when all was said and done.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> It's been an impressive year for the Samoan, who looks to add to his exploits tonight with a win over PM3.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> It's inevitable, Tori. Pizza Mask is having an identity crisis. Imoka is way too focused tonight. I expect to hear a very loud "splat" very soon when the mask-less Mask is flattened.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Without warning, all of the lights go off in the arena, casting everything into pitch blackness. A few seconds pass before a spotlight shines on one of the turnbuckles, revealing no one there. Finally, one last spotlight shines down onto the middle of the ring, which reveals the caped form of The League's resident superhero, who stands with arms folded and staring intently into the audience.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Amelia Williams:</span></strong> Our next quarterfinal match is scheduled for the best of three falls! Introducing first, from the Halls of Justice, weighing 205 pounds...Super Century!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> I still cannot believe what he did. Just because he can't make the playoffs to save his life doesn't mean that he should be allowed to interfere in others' chances!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> Sounds like someone's a bit jealous.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> Jealous? This isn't the first time he's directly impacted the playoffs, Frankie. He needs to be stopped!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> Well, I've been told that he's been kicked out of the arena, but the damage may already be done.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Amelia Williams:</span></strong> His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds...Diamond!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> This is Diamond's second playoff appearance in five seasons, and she looks to knock off the always dangerous Super Century in what is one of the more intriguing matchups of the opening round.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> Both competitors are known aerial specialists, so I expect this to be a fast-paced showcase.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><em>QUARTERFINAL BRACKET #3: Robbie Maynard (11-7, 32%) vs. Nuclear Templeton (10-8, 29%)</em></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Billy Idol's "Shock to the System" hits the speakers, bringing the crowd to their feet in ovation as one of the League's more recognizable faces emerges from backstage and across the green-tinted stage. As he hits the end of the entrance ramp, he throws his arms into the air, sending a pair of mushroom clouds into the air from the stage as he makes his way to the ring and through the ropes.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Amelia Williams:</span></strong> Our next quarterfinal bout is scheduled for the best two out of three falls! Introducing first, from Atlantic City, New Jersey, weighing 278 pounds...Nuclear Templeton!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> Many people thought this would be Templeton's season. Instead, he placed fourth in the Alpha Division, well below his expectations.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> So much so, Bob, that I'm given to understand that he may be bringing in a manager for the next season.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> As if he needs that advantage too?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> Upset that Thor hasn't renewed your services, Frankie?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> ...maybe...</p><p> </p><p>

<em>The opening riffs of Metallica's "Master of Puppets" hits the speakers, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd as last season's champion emerges from the stage, bathed in a blue light shining beneath him. After pausing to mentally prepare himself, he walks to the ring, belt slung over his right shoulder and his eyes never leaving the squared circle as he climbs onto the apron and ducks between the ropes.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Amelia Williams:</span></strong> His opponent, from Liverpool, England, weighing 251 pounds, he is the reigning and defending League Champion...Robbie Maynard!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> As is readily apparent, Maynard won't be able to defend his title this season, though he did put together a better performance than most defending League Champions.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> An 11-7 record and third place in the Omega Division is nothing to short-change. I think Maynard has a shot at being near the top of the standings next season as well.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> If he even bothers to return, that is. Do we even know if he speaks to anyone in charge at League HQ to even say whether he is returning or not?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> It took a bit for Templeton to warm up, but in the end it's two falls in less than half a minute that propels Templeton to the semifinals!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> Meanwhile, Maynard's defense is over, but what a run for the young man!</p><p> </p><p>

<em>As Maynard recovers in the ring, the live audience, as well as all thirty-three streaming video feeds, give the defeated Champion a standing ovation. <em>"Here Comes the Money" hits the speakers, as one of this season's breakout competitors emerges from the back, with a beautiful woman hanging off his left arm. He pays no attention to the jeering fans, his attitude simply screaming "I'm better than you."</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Amelia Williams:</span></strong> This is our final quarterfinal match of the evening, scheduled for the best two out of three falls! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Missy Callistra, from Providence, Rhode Island, weighing 224 pounds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> Stanton has to be the biggest shock of the season, sneaking into the playoffs with his fifth-place finish in the Omega Division.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> For someone who struggled in his rookie season, Stanton came into his own this time out, winning half of his matches en route to his first playoff appearance.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> A shame it's going to end in quick fashion, given his opponent.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" blares throughout the arena as spotlights begin to pan over the audience, as if looking for someone. He slides under the bottom rope, his orange jumpsuit a stark contrast to most of the clothing in the audience as the song fades into silence.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Amelia Williams:</span></strong> His opponent, from the Orange County Correctional Facility, weighing 289 pounds...Maxx Skabb!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> Skabb, over the last few weeks, has been very difficult to contain. He's barely held himself from assaulting anyone after his heinous assault on The Phoenix in the weeks following Tag Team Turmoil.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Amelia Williams:</span></strong> Here is your winner, at a time of thirty-two minutes and twenty seconds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> This arena has just come unglued!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> Ben Stanton has just taken out the top seed from the Alpha Division in this tournament! I don't think he's realized that fact yet, Bob!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> How in the bluest of hells did this happen?!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> Skabb got cocky, and Stanton made him pay with—look out!</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Tori's warning falls on deaf ears, as Skabb sprints across the ring to lay out Stanton with a forearm to the base of the skull. The youngster collapses in a heap, not moving, as Missy Callistra tries to revive him. Paying no heed to her, Skabb rolls out of the ring and grabs a pair of steel chairs, sliding back into the ring with them in hand. Stanton's girlfriend sees this and tries to beg Maxx off, but the raging lunatic will have none of it. A swift overhead belly to belly suplex sends Callistra nearly across the ring, and she is fortunate that her momentum slows just enough to let her drop to the floor without sending her into the announce table.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> The hell?! We need security, and we need them now!</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Back in the ring, Skabb has Stanton's head placed between both steel chairs. Climbing onto the middle turnbuckle, he looks at the fallen form of his opponent before cackling madly and leaping off, both feet landing on the seat of the upper chair. The impact causes the already wounded head of Stanton to simply gush blood as the youngster starts to convulse. You'd think the damage was done, right?</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Bob Sinclair:</span></strong> Wait, what is Skabb pulling out from under the....</p><p> </p><p>

<em>The camera zooms in on Maxx's right hand to reveal a switchblade knife.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tori Montgomery:</span></strong> [Expletive] security. We need the police! Skabb looks like he wants to kill the kid!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Frankie Garnett:</span></strong> <em>(sotto voce)</em> This is going too far....</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Skabb rolls back into the ring, knife in hand and flipped open, looking to put an end to the youngster's career before it even begins. A mad, insane cackle comes from his mouth, as he wipes the flat of the knife with his blood, relishing every moment of what he is about to do.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

That bit of hesitation costs him. In the next moment, no fewer than three sets of tasers go off, sending Maxx into convulsions as police storm the ring, nightsticks drawn and more tasers at the ready. As they proceed to subdue the raging madman, an EMT crew sprints to the ring, immediately going to Stanton and prepping him to be taken to a nearby hospital. The last thing the camera shows, as we fade to black to end the first night of the playoffs, is Maxx Skabb being hauled away in handcuffs and leg shackles, blood running down his face, cackling insanely as he shouts to the camera, "I'm coming home, Orange County!"</em></p><p> </p><p>

There's an old Mafia saying... "Put one of ours in the hospital, we'll send one of yours to the morgue". You burned my face, so I will seek to put you out of wrestling. I'm not going to wear a cheap suit, show a breifcase of cash, and beg someone to take the damn money. I'm going to do it myself. You better pray you only face me in the early fixtures. Because I am already working on a move specifically designed to break you. And because the owl, the bird of serene wisdom, a harbinger of demise, is the scorpion's greatest natural foe, and because the owl has been known to feed scorpions to their young after breaking their appendages off, I shall call it the Owl's Death Grip. And with it, I will make sure you leave the league unable to walk again."</p><p> </p><p> III holds up three fingers to the camera before it fades to black.</p></div></blockquote>
