Darbicus
I'm guessing that people prefer the really detailed results that I've done in the past, but the time it takes to write them just gets eaten up by real life, sadly. I'll still try and to them for Wrestlemania and the like (maybe the Royal Rumble match or something like that) but for right now you can expect results similar to what I posted today. Clarity
I've been pondering on doing a new diary, but the intro post kinda spun out of control. I'm now thinking about turning it into a novella This is the first part of the first chapter..Opinions? I know im bumping my own post but im still looking for any opinions. Bigpapa42
I know im bumping my own post but im still looking for any opinions. A novella approach is interesting and unique. The one danger is that giants walls of text can be intimidating, especially to someone jumping in once the project is underway. I would recommend trying to find some ways to break it up, and ways to include some images as well, but no reason it can't be a really successful approach. moafnsteel
I have been tempted to make a diary as I have been reading various peoples amazing work. I have some reservations about it thought. First I do not follow wrestling as much as I use to therefore I am not sure how a lot of the wrestlers "talk" during their promos and this worries me as I do not want to seem to unrealistic. Second I am unsure of how to upload pictures or any of that format stuff. I am thinking of doing a real world diary of my game that I am working on. Any suggestions? Dawn
Do something that you are used to. A diary in an era in which you did watch wrestling and was fond of it.

Second I am unsure of how to upload pictures or any of that format stuff. I am thinking of doing a real world diary of my game that I am working on. Any suggestions? Well, there is really no right or wrong when it comes to how to write the promos. Some writers like to do the full "in voice" promo, written as if the worker was saying it. Some will do a short version of that - just a line or two, to get the point of the angle across. Others will do more of a recap. That last can be almost like you are reading an online recap of the show - they just give a brief explanation on what happened in a match or segment, in a sentence or two. Its about finding what works for you. Some people will really enjoy finding the voice of their individual workers, whilst some writers don't. moafnsteel
Thanks guys for the help, I may have to try this once I get everything set up for my game. I also need to play around with the insert image and formatting to figure out what the heck I am doing lol

Xendarii
For an APW dynasty (i.e. a regional company from Australia that does shows with 2,000 attendees), would you prefer to have popular entrance themes for the wrestlers (which would be unrealistic because promotions at this size will probably only use in-house music, but may add a special feeling to the dynasty and recall value to the workers) or is realism more important to you, meaning such a thing shouldn't be used because it would destroy the immersion? Or do you not care about entrance themes at all? I've already found themes for all my workers, but I'm not a hundred percent sure whether I should really use them (because of the reasons stated above) and I'd like to have some more opinions on that topic.
